Great Panera location! Always clean and there's ample seating indoors with some tables with umbrellas outside too. I always enjoy Panera so the review on the food applies to all locations. You can't go wrong with a bowl of their broccoli cheddar soup -- like ever. This location has great parking space too.

    Burnt bagel and cheese. 3/11/25.

I would give ZERO stars if I could. Ambiance was not considered since I went through the drive-thru. Food: Ordered breakfast, Asiago Bagel Sausage Egg, and Cheese. The cheese was horribly burnt, the sauce patty must be turkey and not pork. Horrible sandwich. Bagel was burnt. The same with the Scrambled eggs Bacon Croissant sandwich. Service: The young lady at the drive thru obviously doesn't want to be there. People say try Panera. I did. It was horrible food and I paid $17.00 to have a bad breakfast.

Mozzarella cheese is thinner than the tomato slices - very disappointing... nothing like what's advertised on your website for the Garden Caprese Melt - my sandwich was not melted either - skimpy filling didn't warrant two pieces of bread.

Half order. Looks good but under the top layer is mostly hard inner core lettuce ribs.

Livin' the drive thru life. This Panera in Rancho Cordova, is one of the few that have a drive thru. And it's not too far or cumbersome to get to from Highway 50. Easy enough to get to. But the drive thr ordering/pickup window is physically immediate after the right turn. So if you don't angle your car close enough, you'll be stretch armstronging. And it doesn't help if you have TRex arms. I've been stopping by here occasionally throughout the years. Customer service has been great. But the food quality is a hit or miss. On my last visit, the BLT was a dismal representation of a sandwich. It had two thin, short, see thru, microwave type bacon. But they served the bacon ice cold. Interesting Panera choice. The lettuce was an arugula salad mix. Another interesting Panera choice. The tomato slice was super thin. The bread was delicious, but doesn't make up for the lackluster sandwich. We also ordered a half order of Greek salad and half chicken Napa salad sandwich. The salad was chock full of the hard core of inner romaine lettuce. Odd the romaine had the core without the leafy green part as it seemed to be sliced off. Another interesting Panera choice. The chicken Napa is my favorite all time sandwich at Panera. But like the BLT, it was a sad sandwich. It was loaded with arugula salad mix but where's the chicken ?!? It had hardly any chicken salad on the sandwich.

Good ol'faithful Panera! Consistent and tasty for the most part. Nothing really bad to say, I always enjoy the new sandwiches and the seasonal items. My wife and I saw the commercial for the new dippers and so we went and got them for dinner. Not enough soup though but I ordered and side French onion anyways. I'd get it again!

The kiosks were dirty so it was good that they still have someone at the counter to take your orders. The soup, sandwiches and salads are good. Plenty of seating available and the staff are friendly and quick. This is the spot for a quick and good lunch. Prices are a bit high though for what you get.

Panera do better this is a $15 dollar sandwich and I literally have more peppers than meat. Very sad the food quality and quantity here was declined so much

I really love their Chicken Roma Asiago Bagel Stack! It's the first thing I ever tried at Panera, and I have been sticking with it as much as I enjoyed it, plus it's only $7.99 which is a steal. I always ordered ahead of time and came pick up, so I never had any issues like others.

    Frontega chicken

I went to the dinner last night and this is worst experience I ever had. Ordered pick two half Frontega chicken sandwich and half tomato soup. We went 8:5 minutes before closing, so I asked manager is it ok to place the order? He said drive thru will be open until 10 PM so I am good. Here is what I got in frontega chicken. Literally two pieces of chicken.

    Tuna Asiago bagel

I have ordered thru the app 3 times, same order tuna on Asiago bagel. Every time this is what I got. Maybe a teaspoon of tuna. 3 strikes and your out. Won't be going back.

Nothing says don't accept bills over $20.

The broth in the #1 pho was the real standout for me. Rich, flavorful, comforting, and exactly what good pho broth should be. You can tell time and care went into it. The crispy pork egg rolls were also a win, crunchy on the outside, flavorful inside, and perfect with the pho. Even with the growing popularity and wait times, the food still feels consistent and worth coming back for. Rex tip: Try to avoid peak rush times lunch time, unless waiting in line is part of your cardio plan for the day. Safe to say this spot earned the hype. 5 ROARS from Focusaurus Rex

TL;DR: Do NOT order anything extra. They'll charge you for it without telling you and only slip it onto the check after the fact. And the owners are possibly racist, homophobic, or both - based on what her husband screamed at me on my way out for no reason at all: "We don't need people like you here." I walked in on a Saturday night, two hours before closing. Not busy, no line. I got seated right away - well, the waitress (who I later found out was the owner) pointed at a booth. The booth was dirty. Crumbs, spilled fish sauce, half-eaten strands of vermicelli all over the table. I asked the owner if she could wipe it down. She said "Oh wow, sorry," then delivered drinks to a few other tables and left me at the dirty table for another five minutes before coming back to clean it. There were plenty of empty, clean booths - it was NOT busy. Any one of them would've been fine. The menus were dirty and sticky too. I let it go, figured I'd just wash my hands after ordering. We ordered the crispy pork sausage spring rolls, one order of pork egg rolls ($12, per the menu), two Thai teas, and two lemongrass vermicelli. Then I went to the restroom - toilet paper all over the floor, sink area filthy. The waiter brought out two orders of egg rolls - he'd misheard me and didn't even know the price - but he owned it and took the extra back. No harm there. The food was a letdown. The lemongrass vermicelli was a mountain of noodles, an OK amount of bland chicken, and barely any vegetables. No texture, no flavor, no spice. This was not Vietnamese cooking - it was lazy. I wouldn't order it again. So I tried to salvage it and asked for some extra veggies to fix the texture. Here's the problem. The dish already comes with salad mix - it says so on their own menu. Nobody told me extra veggies would cost anything. We got the bill, it wasn't on there, and then the waitress came back, said "I'm just going to update the check real quick," and added a $2.50 "extra veggies" charge after the fact. Now look at their menu (photo attached). They have a whole "Additional Add-ons" section, and the ONLY veggie add-on listed is garnish/beansprouts at $0.50 to $1 - not $2.50. So they charged me up to five times the only veggie price they actually print, for something they never disclosed. And on the receipt it's typed in lowercase as "extra veggie" while every real menu item is capitalized - you can tell it was punched in by hand. I asked the waiter to take it off since nobody told me it'd be a charge. He refused. I asked to talk up front so I wouldn't bother other tables, and asked for a manager - out came the owner, the same woman who'd sat me at the filthy booth. I asked her to remove the $2.50. She refused, said people ask for extras all day so they have to charge, and that she considered this a "side salad" - even though there's no side salad at that price on the menu. I said, "That's fine, but you have to disclose it first." She told me it was on the menu. It is not (see the photo). I told her no restaurant in Little Saigon charges for a few extra veggies without telling you up front. She refused again. I paid, told her I'd leave a bad review and no tip and wouldn't be back - all over $2.50 she could've just removed. She asked what the review would even be about. I listed it: the dirty table, dirty menus, dirty bathroom, the undisclosed charge, and her refusal to reason with a customer making a fair point. She went quiet. As I walked back to grab my things, she kept talking, but the music was so loud I genuinely couldn't hear her, so I said "Sorry, I can't hear you over the music." That's when her husband SCREAMED across the entire restaurant: "GET OUT RIGHT NOW!" I said, "I'm already leaving, and I won't be back." And he screamed, "WE DON'T NEED PEOPLE LIKE YOU HERE!" People like me? I was respectful and calm the whole time. I never cursed, never raised my voice, I just pointed out facts. So what did he mean? Because I pushed back on an undisclosed charge? Because my partner and I are LGBTQ+ and sat next to each other? Because I'm Black? I have no idea why he said it, but if you're Black or LGBTQ, I'd think twice... Either way, screaming that across a full dining room, at a customer who simply said he wouldn't return, is unhinged. No competent owner does that. Here's the kicker: Pho Momma's 2025 Michelin recognition is a Bib Gourmand - which is specifically the award for good value. A restaurant honored for value nickel-and-dimed me $2.50 for veggies they never disclosed, then had its owner scream me out the door. Is that what Michelin recognition looks like? Absolutely not. If you're Black or LGBTQ, I'd genuinely reconsider eating here and save yourself the possible discrimination. Go to Pho Xe Lua, Pho Saigon, or honestly any other pho spot in town.

Customer Service: 0/10 It was our first time here, and the staff did not greet us when we walked in. We ordered our food from a kiosk, and the young Asian lady working didn't even inform us that there was self-serve water or where to find to-go boxes; we had to figure it out ourselves and go ask. Worse, she completely ignored my daughter when she tried to ask a question, literally trying to make herself look busy even though she knew my daughter was speaking to her. During our meal, we noticed that while she completely ignored us, she actively greeted and thanked the other customers who came in after us. When we left, she was standing right at the cash register and completely ignored us again. It is incredibly disappointing to see an employee be so selective about who they want to greet and provide decent customer service to. Furthermore, whether she is part of the family that owns the place or not, her attire was entirely inappropriate for a work environment--she was wearing black-and-white checkered pajama pants with an oversized t-shirt. Professionalism and basic courtesy seem entirely missing here. Please do better. Food Review: * Cucumber Salad: Had no flavor. It was basically just sliced cucumber tossed with some sesame oil. I love cucumber salad, so this was a major disappointment. Rate: 0/10 * Chili Wonton: Super plain with literally no flavor. I love chili wontons, and these were completely tasteless. Imagine eating wontons with absolutely no seasoning. Rate: 0/10 * Chow Mein: This was okay--probably the best dish out of everything we ordered. Rate: 3/10 * Black & Gold Molten Lava Bun: It looked interesting with a sweet, glittering liquid gold filling inside, but it wasn't as good as it looked. While the bun was soft, the filling fell short. Rate: 2/10 * Shrimp & Pork Shaomai: Just okay. We've had much better elsewhere. The outside wraps were dried out and chewy. Rate: 3/10 Would I come again or recommend anyone who happens to be nearby: No. Go somewhere else.
