Went here for breakfast, beautiful seating area inside and out, they were quick with the food even though it was 8:00 in the morning.

I'm loving Panera's new menu. Lately I've been on a Panera kick. The Greek goddess salad is so good! A blend of romaine, kale, and arugula with a creamy avocado, buttermilk, dressing. 490 calories love. I love the duet with either soup or salad and half sandwich! My fav is the chicken chipotle avocado melt. Toasty focaccia bread layered with chipotle mayo, avocado slices, smoked chicken, and pepper dew peppers. The pepper dew peppers make this sandwich! I'm loving this sweet Piquante pepper.

I ordered Toasted Garden Caprese. It was soggy with the aoli and vinegarette, one small piece of cheese and limp lettuce snd tomato. I used to love Panera, but since they changed their menu, it has been horrible. It was "To Go" so I didn't open until I got home. What a mess!! I was inedible.

    Half full green goddess salad

How is it that I pay $11.69 for a Green Goddess Cobb Salad, when i come home open the bag im not only missing my egg, my salad came half full. I am very disappointed that I paid $11.69 for a salad that was half way done. We raise minimum wage for this? Dealing with these type of restaurants where we get take out your customers are supposed to trust they are getting everything they asked for. Especially when paying $11.69 for a salad.

Came in on a rainy Saturday evening. The place, which is nicely set up with some Turkish touches…read more(and some tv's) was not crowded. To get to the seating area, you walk by a large bar at the front. It was a bit off-putting, as it wasn't clear to me whether the place was a bar with food or a restaurant. Once you settle in at your table, it's clear it's a restaurant. My partner and I shared the Appetizer platter, which includes Hummus, Dolma, Baba Ganoush, Cous Cous, Eggplant Salad, Potato & Bean Salad, & yogurt. It also comes with pita bread, cut into small slices/triangles. You can also order falafel as an add-on, at $2 per falafel ball. The appetizer platter items were all good. The pita was a bit hard and didn't have much flavor. it was also a small portion of pita - we ran out fairly quickly. The falafel balls were also very good. Crunchy on the outside, but moist and flavorful inside. Really good falafel. The service was fine. We did have to call the staff over to fill water glasses. Service could have been better, considering the restaurant wasn't crowded. My beef with the place is the price. The platter is $27.99, and $2 each for falafels. I think that's a high price point for the platter. At a minimum, it could include 2 falafel balls to help better justify the high price.

Excellent, excellent, excellent food. I have been here every weekend for the appetizer platter and…read moreI've tried many dishes. Love the Kabab salad, lamb kabobs and the gyro. Food is always good.

The menu had a great variety of fresh, appealing options, making it tough to decide. Even though the restaurant was packed, we were seated surprisingly fast. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and took the time to help us choose between several entrées, which we really appreciated. My wife and I both ordered tacos. I had the pork tacos, and they were fresh, flavorful, and absolutely fantastic. Our kids had the smashburger, and they couldn't stop talking about how good it was. The fries were phenomenal as well. The restaurant has a fun, beachy atmosphere while serving food that feels much higher quality than you'd expect for the price, especially in a tourist area. Great service, great food, and great value. We'd definitely come back the next time we're in town!

The Mai Tai, on the other hand, was a heavy pour (which isn't necessarily a bad thing), but the flavor just wasn't for us. For our entrées, we ordered the Lava Burger and the Drunken Noodles with added chicken. The chicken add-on cost an additional $9, which made the dish feel quite overpriced. Unfortunately, the noodles were disappointing; they were overly salty, and the sauce was thin and had an unpleasant flavor that we didn't enjoy. The Lava Burger was definitely the highlight of the meal. It came with fries that were crispy, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious. The burger itself was fantastic and certainly lived up to its name--it was loaded with heat and flavor. Let's just say it was still living up to the "lava" reputation the next day! Overall, the drinks and burger were great, but the Drunken Noodles were a miss for us.

The portions for most of the food is deceptively large and all scratch recipes. You will be leaving with take-out boxes for sure. The Service was pretty awesome. Last summer, my wife and I discovered First State, which at the time was still new. Dallas was our server the first time that we ate at First State, and then we were lucky enough to have him again this time and he remembered us. Before we could get a word out he said "Hey, welcome back!" like we had been friends for years. BEST SERVER EVER! Extremely attentive without crowding our table. Very knowledgeable. I suspect that that is a reflection of the whole staff. The hostess was pleasant. A bit quiet but pleasant. The bartender, Joel (?), seemed fun and engaging. He welcomed everyone like they were regulars, and really looked like he was enjoying his job. Even the young kid that dropped our food was on point, setting our dishes in the right places without asking. Making sure that we didn't need anything before he left. The whole experience was great. I'm a fan and we will be back. The atmosphere and vibe was fun and relaxing. Not your standard rush to order, eat fast, and "here's your bill" sit down restaurant. The restaurant is very clean and it is open and spacious. The place has that great neighborhood brewpub vibe feel. We LOVED the beer label walls! I want to do that in my man cave! Awesome idea. The large TVs were playing a variety of sports. The music was pretty good. Maybe a touch loud. They have live music that seemed to be setting up as we were leaving. Apparently they have live music every Friday and Saturday. We wish that we could have stayed. Dallas said that the band coming in that night was pretty popular. All in all, First State was a fun, and delicious dining experience. my only criticism would be that it is a bit pricey. I understand that scratch restaurants are going to be more expensive, but charging someone for a small container of sauce seems a little like nickel and dime budgeting. Understandable but not attractive All in all, First State is a great time. Ask for Dallas. He's next level service and you'll leave with a new friend. SEE YOU NEXT YEAR FIRST STATE!!!!
