Wow. Just wow. What an absolute disgrace what has happened to Paneras. They used to be so good. We walked up to the register to order and there was no one there. One boy walked by several times, but didn't acknowledge us. Finally we got the attention of someone else and asked him if needed to order on the screens they had set up. He said, 'you can or I guess I can take your order at the register. Just give me a minute. He then walked away. We ordered a cup of broccoli and cheddar soup and a bowl of French onion soup. With two fountain drinks, the total was almost $20. We were eating there, but our order was in a takeout bag. Evidently they have gotten rid of all the real bowls and dishes so there's nothing to wash. When I took the lid off my French onion soup, I didn't see any cheese. It is always served with Gruyère cheese. It wasn't there. Evidently another money saving idea... my wife's soup was edible. That is about the best thing I can say about it. The bread, which is supposed to be a French baguette, was a slice of something that looked like it came from Sams club. Paneras has fallen so far so fast, I can't imagine they will survive another three years. I surely will never be back. What an absolute shame read more

Wanted to take my son for a nice breakfast. It was absolutely disgusting inside. My first clue should've been when there was black mold going up the icemaker machine and all over the soda machine. So during this whole coronavirus thing and inside being closed I sat in the parking lot of Panera trying to figure out how to place a to go order as I seen people walking up to the door I realize that they were taking walk up orders I got frustrated with the app after sitting in the parking lot for 10 or 15 minutes trying to figure it out so I walked up I ordered a breakfast sandwich and apparently it was two minutes after the time which was 10:32 and completely refuse to serve me a an egg and cheese sandwich that I like, even being just two minutes later. I asked her if she can please make an exception since I had been sitting out in the car with my baby trying to figure out this app long before I finally realized I could walk up. My coworker and I decided to go here for lunch one day. We were excited about how the food looked while browsing online. We ordered food for rapid pick up and drove to the location. I located our bags on the pick up shelf and we drove back to work. When we finally sat down to eat, I pulled out my sandwich to find more than half of it burnt to a crisp. It honestly looks like a crater hit my sandwich. The bread was hard as a rock and inedible. My co worker ordered Mac and cheese and upon eating found a lemon seed mixed in. I was very disappointed when coming to this Panera. I am Panera lover and will always love there broccoli and cheddar mac cheese. However, when I first got to the store, I went to use the screens in the front to order because usually it's faster. When I went to pay it would not let me, and then I informed the employee at the front, and she said "i don't know why they are not working, you can just order in the front." So she saw me on the screen knowing it wouldn't work and just didn't say anything. So I ordered with her and I had a coupon for 25% off and I don't think she even used it. And another couple came in and went to use the screen, I had to inform them that they didn't work. The employee just watch them knowing it didn't work. Now the worst part is when i went to sit down, the dining room was disgusting, trash all over the floor, and some sort of dirt or liquid on every table or seat. I had to go up and ask the employee to clean off a table and even after that I still had to clean up the area to eat. Slowest service ever. I go in there for a bagel in the morning's before work, and it takes them 10 to 15 minutes to put it in a bag and handed to me. Stopped in for lunch. Lady at the next table had a poodle in her lap. Clearly not a service dog. Then sat the dog on a chair. Then picked the dog back up and started feeding it off her plate. Apparently the management does not understand the rules regarding dogs in restaurants. Service dogs are trained to perform a task for a disabled person. Not a comfort dog or therapy dog or pet. Service dogs are to stay on the floor and not be fed off the table. They are working dogs. The staff here needs to be educated to not allow this. read more

Went here with my 80 year old Dad and my kids. After ordering we sat down and waited for our food. I had ordered the $0.99 chocolate chip cookie for my kids as a dessert. As we were sitting down my youngest one, who was holding the cookie, accidentally let it slip out of its sleeve onto the floor. We went to Panera at 9:15 as it closed at 10 and left about 9:45. At about 9:30 a worker comes out with a vacuum and starts vacuuming the floor. It was just very unenjoyable to eat your dinner with someone vacuuming the floor about 5 feet away while we were eating our dinner. Also the worker had headphones in and she was on her phone, so she wouldn't of done anything because she couldn't hear us. The main that got us upset was that the restaurant didn't even close for another 25ish minutes.. Also because it was closer to closing time, I assume that the cooks were just trying to go home, but we ordered a Mac and cheese and it was terrible!! We didn't want to send it back because we knew that it would probably be worse. So overall it was a unenjoyable experience especially because you heard a vacuum on while your trying to eat your meal. This is the worst Panera in Sarasota!! I work nearby & eat at this location once or twice a week but I won't be back ever again. Over the last few months they've screwed up my order 8 out of 10 times. The last 5 times I've been there I've asked for a refund 3 times. What is so hard about NO CHICKEN on a sandwich? My last straw was I made online order went into the store & saw my name up next on the board. Then 25 minutes later I got my food w/ chicken on my sandwich of coarse. Apparently they ran out of flat breads so instead of asking around they just stopped making my order. After 15 minutes I asked what was going on & then they asked if I what bread I would like. Still took another 10 minutes to get my food. The manager was not very pleasant & just refunded the cost of my sandwich. When I informed her that we were not going to eat any of the food & wanted a full refund she reluctantly cancelled my order.
