    Corn soup and Mediterranean sandwich
    Paul V.

Ii was on way to Baltimore on I-83 south after nice comfortable stay at Quality Inn. Hunger decides when to take a stop and that's what happened .. started watching highway exit sign with choices of places to stop and eat .. there I found location with fast food Taco Bell Burger King Dunking donuts and Panera bread .. I knew needed soup and sandwich. They don't serve here 9 vegetarian soup my favorite but had corn chowder with no meat and no chicken brine just corn potatoes bits in creamy sauce. Good for meat and potato patrons.. my Mediterranean sandwich was the best I ever head !! They added bulk with arugula lettuce tomatoes cucumbers snaps plus I added Tabasco and hot mustard to put me on fire .. my mouth .. also had coffee and bear claw to go for further traveling time .. that's all folk .PS clean restrooms and great people .

    Sandwich I was expecting...

The last few times I've been here have been terrible, not sure why I continue to return. The last time I ordered from this location, I got the avocado, egg white, spinach and cheese breakfast sandwich. First word is literally avocado and my sandwich had two tiny slivers of avocado on it (along with a yummy piece of hair). I know the online pictures are not at all accurate to what you get and I didn't expect a perfectly photogenic sandwich but there was hardly anything in my sandwich at all, and for nearly $10?? I went today on my lunch break. I get a 30 minute break. I placed my order at 12:00 for drive thru and then headed out a few minutes after, expecting to join the line and get my food quick. I got there around 12:10ish and there was a lady ahead of me ordering at the speaker (mind you my order was already in 10 minutes prior). The lady got her food and was out of the line in probably less than 5 minutes. Again, my order was already in so therefore probably should've already been started on right? My order took FORTY minutes. I literally just got a soup and sandwich. No customizations. A few minutes after I got to the window, the person working opened it up to hand me my drink and told me they were a little backed up. I proceeded to sit there for another 20+ minutes and didn't get my order until 12:40, was late getting back to work and missed my entire lunch break and couldn't even eat my lunch because I had to get back to work. Why offer ordering ahead or a drive thru if you can't keep up with it?? If you have plenty of free time and want to go sit down for a long overpriced meal, this is your place!

Thought they blocked the outlets but turns out they are dust covers and still allow plugs inside.

looks like management actually does love their student and remote working patrons because the power outlets are still open and available for use. I would give it 5 stars if they only went vegan and 100% plant based & cruelty free. The staff are all friendly and kind and they do an amazing job keeping the cafe clean. I still wish they were offered actually vegan dishes with plant based meats, cheeses and baked items.

Tiny flatbread sandwich missing half the ingredients and smaller than half size sandwiches. Ridiculous.

Great food and they are good about fixing your order when they get it wrong. They even offer a free pastry if they do. Love the soups!

Mac & Cheese was served cold even though the restaurant was practically empty and there was no discernable reason for the mistake.

I could eat here everyday, seriously, it's a jewel hidden behind a liquor store and a modest appearance. And the menu is huge, as a chef and culinarian myself, usually big menus make me a little nervous about execution, but I happen to know some people that highly recommended the place. So I ventured in with some family (age ranged from 18-50s). THE FOOD IS AMAZING. Full stop. Yes, they have a good tap beer selection and great liquor too - did I mention the store - but credit to the bar too, their craft cocktail selection was tasty and refreshing. Back to the food! Pot roast made with the same respect as Beef Bourguignon, with tender flavorful meat balanced, silky smooth potatoes underneath, mouthwatering reduction atop. Shrimp and grits with authentic made grits, not that Quaker boxed stuff, garnished with a zesty coleslaw - absolutely delicious. So many flavors and textures melding together. Wonderful. Fried green tomatoes served with a raisin cream cheese dollop on top, they were incredible. Lamb pops grilled and served to perfection. We tried a crab fried rice that would make any Asian Chef would have blushed over. Whipped feta. OMG, if you don't know about whipped feta, look it up. They happen to have it on the menu, so we had to try that. Marvelous! Absolutely incredible. My nephew did talk much about his seafood risotto, which if a 20-something says nothing while cleaning the plate, I believe that's solid and speaks for itself. I can't wait to go back, I didn't even get to try the burger and I hear that's outstanding too (believe me lots of places and people screw up a burger). Everything here is crafted with respect not only to the ingredients, but to the methods of preparation. Michelin style cooking hidden in comfort foods and explorations across the menu. I said it was an adventure, and what a journey it was, and I'll say it again; I can't wait to go back!

Because the burgers are made with locally sourced beef (it is cattle country in northern Maryland) I chose a burger. I added French fries for an up charge of $2.00. Everyone's lunches looked great and everyone seemed to enjoy their choices. The salads looked fresh. My neighbor's cheesesteak looked super and she liked it. Other neighbors had Maryland crab soup (red version) and they said it was very tasty and had crab in it. A few gals had the half pound of shrimp and I scored one! Large and very good. Seasoned with Old Bay. My burger was excellent. I didn't get any toppings other than lettuce and a slice of tomato. I wanted to taste the beef. And it was delish! Definitely a keeper! And the bun was delicious! Kind of a sweet tasting bread that was toasted just right! My french fries, on the other hand, weren't wonderful. Lots of small pieces that were very oily and unfortunately had lots of black spots inside the fries. I said something to the server and I asked if I could get a fresh batch. The new ones were better and I shared them with the gals and still had some to take home. A fun fact is that there is a liquor/wine/spirits/beer store attached to the restaurant. Got a bottle of Irish Cream to take home! I definitely want to come back to this restaurant. If you're at the Maryland/Pennsylvania border, try this place. You will enjoy it.
