Since this Panera has opened, I've been here about 10 times since it has a really good study environment. The past 9 times the service has been great! The kiosks are very convenient and the waiters/waitresses that bring out the food are very kind. Ian always recognizes me and greets me when I order at the front counter. Their service is the only reason why I'm giving 3 stars. I mentioned in my last review about the manager (filipino woman with short hair) being rude as she unlocked the front door at 6am. Today I had another bad experience with her. As I was leaving the restaurant I realized that I didn't have my keys with me, so I went to the front counter to ask and see if anyone had returned them. She happened to be working on a task at the register, so I went up to her and asked if anyone had dropped off some keys. She looked up at me and said "nobody dropped off any keys" without even checking the lost and found. I found that extremely unprofessional and rude again. I waited in line again to speak to Ian because I know he is kind and would check for me and LOW AND BEHOLD my keys were in the lost and found! I hope someone shows her this review so she can get her first lesson about customer service. read more

I love Panera but this location never gets my orders right. 8 out of 10 times, either they don't give me chips and instead give me an apple, or the bread is wrong on my sandwich or dressing is missing from my salad. Management needs to be changed. I like the convenience of the drive thru but I'd rather go to the Panera off 8 mile. Moral of the story, always check your order before leaving! read more

Every time I come here, they always forget something. They always forget to include my chips or bread and they forgot a fruit cup that I ordered one time. This time they forgot to add the pickled onions to my Chkn Green Goddess Cobb salad. It didn't taste the same without them. They're my fav. Just a bit disappointing that I continue to have this issue. I informed the manager the first time this happened when my fruit cup was not included nor my two pieces of bread and she seemed inconvenienced by it. I get it. It's just bread, but I paid for the fruit cup and I love their bread. I haven't notified her since cause I don't wanna make a big deal about bread or chips. It's just annoying. Just ordered Panera bread through the drive-thru. The line took a long time, which is understandable, but once I got home and opened my bag I was disappointed. I ordered from the "pick 2." A half oven roasted turkey and avocado BLT with American cheese added on and the broccoli/cheddar soup. The soup was really tasty, but I received a fork rather than a spoon. Then, I opened my sandwich and it looked horrible. The burgers at McDonald's looks better than my sandwich. Looks as if a 5 year old put my sandwich together. I hate leaving bad reviews but this place is terrible. I'm from the east coast so I have been around panera bread for a good while. Not only is it slow the food sucks. I don't know how anyone can mess up a grilled cheese but they did. I kept giving it another try each time something was wrong with my order or something was left out. Customer service is extremely unprofessional. The people who work there clearly have no experience. If you don't know the difference in quality of food preparation then sure eat here but I would definitely not recommend it. This location really has issues with service even if there aren't that many people waiting. I see multiple people in the back, yet I had to wait over 15-20 minutes for a bagel with cream cheese. So I am usually a big fan of Panera, however this location was very disappointing. I waked in around 3:30, waited ten minutes for the person in front of me who was just one person. Instead of an employee coming to the empty cash register beside the one in use, they just stared and didn't even greet me. Finally, I ordered a cup of soup and a smoothie at 3:42. I waited and waited and then 3:50 came around so I walked up to the pick up counter to see my food sitting there. There was an employee standing there on her phone and talking to the other employee behind he counter. I then watched her run an order that came after mine to a table and finally at 4:02 she grabbed my plate and handed it to me. This location seriously can use some better customer service if they want to stay busy. I'd rather drive out the way to trinity. So I went through the drive thru at my local Panera and place a small order. There were only 2 cars ahead of me and the line moved really quick. When I made it to the window, I paid for my food. Instead of handing me my order I'm told to "pull around the corner to my left" and someone will bring my food to me. As I sit in my vehicle, I notice about 3 other cars waiting as well. One by one their orders are brought out to them. After about 5 mins, I still don't have my food. I go inside to inquire and am told it'll be another 2 minutes. WHAT? If this was a pick up order or in store order I might have been more understanding. But over a 7 minute wait for drive thru is unacceptable. I told the cashier to cancel my order. The manager came out (hurriedly) to explain how to issue the refund and then ran back to the kitchen area. Not once did she make contact with me , let alone apologize for the inconvenience. It was like "Oh well, here's your money back". Horrible customer service.! This is the only Panera in Stockton since the Trinity Parkway location closed . however I will drive 20 minutes away to Tracy,CA. before I ever step foot in this location again. read more

Went in tonight around 8:30 and the closing manager was amazing! Didn't catch his name but my husband ordered a few pastries and a tea through the kiosks (we should have ordered at the counter) had to wait a bit because they were working on orders before us. Our tea came out and the girl told us to get the pastries from the counter. Someone was ordering at the counter so we waited again and after about 5 minutes the manager approached us and apologized for the wait and said usually the cashier gets the pastries but for whatever reason hadn't gotten ours yet (no big deal)... but then! he said they were out of the kitchen sink cookie (the reason we came in)! Internally, I was super disappointed but he offered to give us 4 other cookies to try out instead. Can't beat that! Super nice and went out of his way to make it right for us. We didn't mind the wait and wouldn't have complained about them being out of the cookie but it was a kind gesture! We'll be back. :) read more

This Panera is very under staffed management is not friendly at all the workers are overwhelmed and overworked so many issues have happened from this restaurant not having enough product to water issues closing the restaurant down I think corporate needs to go in and retraining management on not only how to treat their staff especially when it comes to meal breaks and rest periods but how to make this restaurant a true success...and for any customers being rude to the employees put yourself in their position it's not easy working in this type of environment I think if the shoe was on the other foot you would be very different think about the conditions these workers are dealing with on a daily basis be kind to them you never know what they may be going through at work...and management get your act together!!!!! read more

Service here is sorta hit and miss. I do like that they have a drive thru. But for some reason this location has a tendency not only to forget items but to leave ingredients out? For example multiple times on different occasions there has been missing ingredients from my Frontega Chicken sandwich such as cheese, chipotle sauce, & basil. at Stockton Panera it takes longer than 5-10 minutes for them to bring out just a coffee after it's been made according to the app that sends a notification saying "it's ready". I got there at 9am (ish) and there was no one in drive thru, hardly any cars at all, it took 10 minutes after the "it's ready" notification (was already in parking spot). I also had to call in to let them know I had been waiting. Earlier this week I came to get my coffee that I have subscription for and I went the the through drive the thru for my curbside pick up because there was no open spots. They told me I had to come in because they didn't have anyone to bring it out to me. But I was in drive through, there was not one person that could have walked over to that counter and grabbed it to hand to me through drive the thru? I have two small children one is still an infant and I can't always contact everybody out of the car just to walk in and grab some coffee. Maybe you should take curbside also the menu if you're too busy to offer it. that was one of the main reasons why I decided to go with the subscriptions because I could get my coffee brought out to me on my way to work or when I have the kids in just can't go in. I never have any problems at the Lodi in Panera. They are always ready with my coffee and have a good attitude when running it out. I love going to the Lodi Panera. Definitely won't be back to Panera in Stockton. read more

I'm probably over exaggerating this review but honestly this is the best place to go if you want quality food at the fastest time possible. If you're hungry and you have nothing for lunch, make sure you have the Panera Bread app and make your order then. Once it's your break or whatever pocket of free time, just head over to Panera and pick up your food. I like the convenience they offer and I just know I can rely on them to get me a lunch ASAP. Not only that but their food is fresh made. You can never go wrong with their sandwiches, my favorite is the Chipotle Avocado Chicken Melt. The soup I normally get with it is a Broccoli Cheddar soup which is also superb. Their sandwich selection is a bit small but every sandwich is great. Their selection of teas and lemonade are also different if that's what suits your fancy. Honestly if you've got only pockets of time, but are looking for something great to pick up, Panera's the way to go. Recommendations: (personal favorites) Napa Almond Chicken Sandwich Chipotle Avocado Chicken Melt Cheddar Broccoli Soup Mac and Cheese Various Salads (Try them all they're good portions.) I was a little disappointed in their service today. Not only was it quite unusual but I may not order from Panera again. So, I normally will order from Panera to cater lunch or even breakfast to my offices. However, lunch was an hour late. Yes, an hour late. Completely embarrassed. Lunch for 25 was ordered and 7 sandwiches cut in half along with make shift salads and more chips and cookies than ordered appeared. I called Brian the manager multiple times during the hour that lunch should have been at the office to figure out what was happening and he never answered my call until 2pm. He apologized saying he's new there and they are short staffed. So, hopefully he can figure it out before they close the store down or upper management takes over. It's a shame. First of all, got in line to order and the girl asked if she can help me, only to have the other worker interrupt and ask her a question so she stopped and listened to her while I'm standing there watching them go back & forth. Didn't even say I'm sorry, can you hold on or anything. Then, I ordered 2 broccoli cheddar bowls w bread on the side. It took 20 minutes and it came out barely warm! My mom was with me and she ordered separate since she was talking w a friend. She also ordered soup but a different kind. Her soup took 35 minutes to come out. Luckily, hers was hot though. BUT, my daughters spoon was dirty. And when my moms soup came, her spoon was dirty too! So gross! What is wrong here?! The bag was taped shut for my dasher to deliver so it was obviously prepackaged with flies alive. Never eating here again.
