Out of ALL the Panera locations that I've been to this one is the WORST. The location was really busy and yet there was only one cashier taking orders. The wait for our order was really long, and there were about six or seven people also waiting for their order. I don't know if they were just understaffed or just slow in the kitchen but it took well over half an hour for me to receive a simple you pick two soup and sandwich. I will never understand why it's so difficult to put the cheese and croutons in with the french soup order. That is how the soup comes when you dine in, but every single time I've ordered out, the french onion soup is missing the cheese and croutons. I work in a Nursing Home and I know how strict our Dietary Department when it comes to preparing foods with complete gear.. gloves, hairnet and mask. I visited Panera at the mall one day and after putting in my order, I went to use the rest room and as I passed by where theyre praparing foods, I have witnessed staff preparing sandwiches and talking at the same time. As someone who works in the food industry myself I didn't feel welcomed at all! I love Panera bread but I believe the workers could have more enthusiasm and be more welcoming. As I walked in today coming to pick up an online order I have no welcome whatsoever and no one was there to help me at all as I stood there. Hence coworkers who like it because they have a pic to deal on their menu and it's pretty nice it's you can get a sandwich or have salad or soup and sandwiches soup and a salad and their pastries are amazing and they're yummy tea's and of course I've used them recently to do get-togethers for businesses in meetings and it's been very nice so I'd like to think Panera bread and Stockton for their staff and their kindness of allowing us to be there. read more

I purchased a broth bowl for $10 and some change which is pretty high for a bowl of soup but I don't mind paying this because the broth bowls are usually amazing however today I received about half the regular size of my bowl. We've always like the food and ambiance at Panera Bread so it was a natural choice when I needed to bring lunch in for a church meeting on Sunday. Panera's Bennett took our order and was inordinately patient explaining the various catering menu options that would be tasty and stay within our budget. And though this location does not normally cater on Sundays, Bennett made it happen to get us out of a jam. This is for the drive-thru. My cousin & I decided to try to this place out because we were hungry but I also had a sleeping baby in the car. We've never been here before so luckily there were no cars behind us because it took us awhile to look through the whole menu. My cousin is vegetarian so it's hard to find "fast food" restaurants without meat. She was very happy with her choice! My food was delicious too! Anyways, back to the drive-thru. We asked a few questions & it was answered promptly. Ordered what we wanted and drove up. I paid and the cashier said "one second" and our food was done in maybe 3 seconds of driving up to the window. That's pretty fast for 2 sandwiches and a cup of soup! This is probably the worst panera bread I have ever been to. I waited an hour for my food and the service was extremely slow. Whoever was making our food messed up on all our orders, it was just a terrible experience and I don't recommend coming to this one unless you want extremely slow service. Before I write a review I give a place at least 6 months to be able to improve on their customer service. This Panera on Pacific is actually one of the worst. Some of the management staff have tried to make things right when the cooks and prep staff constantly get it wrong. From burnt sandwiches to missing food this is all uncalled for. The final straw for me was the past Friday morning 3/30/2018 at 0645. I ordered Rapid Pick Up before work. I have never been late for work. I arrived at Panera about 20 minutes to 7am and the door was locked. The store opens at 6am. I knocked, but no answer. I finally walked around to the drive through window where an extremely rude young lady who apparently hates the fact that she works at all screamed through the window without even opening it, "You have to go to the other door!" I tried to explain to her I didn't know there was another door. She screamed again with the window closed, ''Walk around to the other door!" By this time I went back to the door and there were other cars parked there. I proceeded to walk around the side walk to a side door. The three very inattentive, oblivious workers behind the counter took their time responding to my presence. I told them I had an order for Rapid Pick -UP at 635am. She stated, "No, your order is not supposed to be ready until 7am. Aren't you Mary?" Well, I'm not Mary and the last Mary I know was from High School. Oh wait, I forgot about Mary Magdalene, the mother of Jesus but technically we don't know each other the way I knew Mary from High School. Anyway, back to the Saga of Panera. At this point I thought I was being plunked and Ashton Kutcher was going to jump out at any time. I looked and saw my Rapid Pick-up Order sitting on the counter. I pointed it out to the counter filled with Mary Sunshines and one preceded to check the order. With no apologies she handed me the bag. Another young lady walked from the back and apologized for the door not being UNLOCKED over 1 1/2 hours after opening. There are times when there is one sandwich wrapped up or in the box and other times there are two. I guess it depends on who is making it, but there is no consistency. Why are these people still working here? Who is running this store? Where is the owner? When will the door open? How many sandwiches will be in the bag tomorrow? Oh, none because I will never be coming back to Panera at 4932 Pacific Ave. Stockton, Ca, 96207. After going to this location two times recently I have been made so mad that I could not help but give this location a one star rating. A few weeks ago I ordered a bowl of broccoli cheddar mac and cheese. The food was cold, half filled in the bowl, and to top it off it didn't taste that good. I let it go and gave the benefit of the doubt. This time I ordered a soup and sandwich. Selected curbside pickup for the meal. The service as far as the time it took to come to my car was great. However, once I got home I realized that they gave me squash soup and broccoli mac and cheese. I ordered a cup of vegetable soup and a Mediterranean sandwich. I was so upset. The food literally went into the trash because I am not fond of either item. I looked in the tiny little bag before I left and unfortunately assumed the cup I saw had my soup. Needless to say though I won't be coming back to this Panera. I wish the one in the trinity location wasn't closed down. This one can never get things correct. read more

One star for the cashier apologizing a lot but that's all the positive I can think of:/ I really like Panera and we usually go to the one at Eight Mile road but we wanted to try this new location in Stockton. We ordered the bakers dozen and we asked to dine in with 3 toasted bagels with cream cheese(we wanted something light before dinner) and to take the rest to-go. Simple order right? Wrong! The staff made our order seem like it was rocket science:/ I even felt really guilty for ordering my bagels. We got a table and waited... and waited..and waited. My son was starving so I took the initiative to ask for our order. I didn't understand what took them so long since we were the only current ones who ordered and the rest were students studying and using their Wifi. When I approached the counter,a man who was in the kitchen asked me if I needed anything and I told him what we ordered. He hands me a bag of bagels and I asked him we wanted to dine-in with 3 toasted bagels with cream cheese and that I've already notified the cashier. I can tell he was kind of pissed off and he started running the register. He told me that the cream cheese was extra charge for each bagel and I told him that I will pay the difference and to add a container of cream cheese to go(since we didn't have any at home). While he was running the register his temperament got higher and started getting loud. I was embarrassed because there were people behind me waiting to order. He started to tell me that I wasn't going to save any money buying my food this way. I told him I was okay with that because we just wanted to eat. He just kept talking very loudly and I had to apologize to the people behind me. They didn't seem bothered because they saw that I was six months pregnant(I forgot to mention that in the beginning). I really didn't feel comfortable coming here nor asking for any more service while we were there. None of the tables were clean but I decided not to bother with a chance of getting yelled at again:/ read more

Twice I ordered chicken soup and twice it was cold. The waitress said she couldn't take it back once she gave it to me. Said i could use the microwave at the coffee stand to heat my soup if i wanted. Also no cream on the coffee stand, gave empty container to clerk and waited 10 min. still no cream. Had to ask again and waited 5 more min. Bought some pastries on Monday morning, all were stale. Obviously there is a problem with management. I received a gift card for Panera so I will try the one on Trinity. Hopefully is is still good service there. This place was (when it opened) awesome, excellent service, great food, pleasant and willing staff. Unfortunately there's been a sharp decline the last six months or so. Food is now hit or miss but mostly mediocre, at best the staff are disinterested and service is not very good. Tonight was the worst ever, 20 minute wait, luke warm soup, staff getting food before customers (including the staff member who served us, who then had a service ten minute break and then got her food while we were still waiting for ours. Finally decided to write a review after a couple of bad experiences. They always get my order wrong every single time. I never have have time to go back and correct it because I have 30 mins for lunch and 20 get spent waiting for my food and then I only have 10 mins to eat. This last time I ordered mac and cheese and chocolate chip cookie and I find a hair stuck/baked on the cookie. So disgusting. I guess I won't be coming here again because they can't seem to do anything right let alone follow proper sanitary protocols. The food was always kind of mediocre so I won't be missing it.
