I will start this as I always do by saying that I only give out five stars if I am really blown away. I go to a Panera almost everyday during the work week. I go so that I can get a Agave Green iced tea as I have got away from coffee. I have the about to be $12 a month sip club subscription that I got when I was drinking coffee and I really enjoy it. Just walk in punch in you code and get you drink. It is well worth it if you go more than 4 times a month. Also you can use it multiple times a day. I think every two hours. Anyway back to this Panera. I frequent this location as I get gas close by and it is convenient for me. The service is fast when ever I decide to order food. The food has always been good but can be inconsistent. I like the chipotle, chicken, egg and avocado on ciabatta. I have got it here a few times. The last time I got it it was perfect. This time it was a bit of a mess but still tasted great it was just not well constructed. I have also had lunch here a few times and again service was fast and the food was good. Just what you except from Panera. Ambiance is fine nothing special. There are other Paneras I like better on that front. Why review Panera? Because they have one of the best staff members I have ever encountered. Food is good and served quickly. Place is clean. I've eaten here several times with a friend who uses a wheelchair. Annette, who works behind the counter, is one of the nicest and most accommodating servers I've ever met. She make sure she greets everyone in a friendly manner and shows respect to everyone. For my friend, she always delivers the order for her with a smile and make sure she has everything she needs. A guy working there called me multiple b's because I told his supervisor he was touching his hat prior to grabbing bread and proceeded to making people food and the manager or supervisor didn't try to calm him down.....For some this may not be a sanitary issue but it's a big no no where I'm from as well as being disrespected and it was the worst location I've ever seen. I went to Paneras on Circle drive today for a quick lunch, my friend and I both ordered the French onion soup in a bread bowl. first the bread was a cold bowl, which cooled the soup which was luke warm at best, still has 3-4 unmelted cheese pieces on the bread edge. as far as the cheese, may only have used a tsp of it. should have a lot more cheese and should be melted over the sides. we were both very disappointed and the for the price we felt cheated for this order. sorry but won't be coming back since it was out first time and gave an insight on what the quality is. the service was fine but lack quality control with the food. read more

I really wish that businesses did better when they claim rapid curbside options. If I order food on the app, it's ready most times before I even leave my driveway. Today I accidentally ordered for curbside. I was going to run in and grab it but noticed there was a charge for the curbside option so I doubled down. A full ten minutes later my food was brought to my car by a nice staff member. Unfortunately that wait frustration was amplified by the app gloating an instant delivery. I love this location, and I am confused by all of the low ratings! We ordered one of their Family Feast specials for takeout and it was a great value and more than enough for a family of 4. They thought of everything- all utensils for eating and serving were included, containers for the Mac and cheese, and the half sandwiches were very thick and delicious! The only thing you need is a metal knife to cut the baguette! Yes, it is a tad pricey for their Pick 2 combos, but worth the convenience and being a healthier option in my opinion. I highly recommend their Family Feast packs that start at $29 for 4 people. It isn't on their menu, but you can get it online on their site or app, or you can ask them about it when you order. Also, I load up on gift cards when they have promos like a free $10 for every $50 in gift cards purchased to maximize my value. Lastly, the staff here are WONDERFUL. Very friendly and working hard to maintain safety guidelines during the pandemic. On warmer days, their outdoor patio is a nice place to hang out and enjoy your meal or a coffee. read more

After being a customer for serval years, the location on Erie Blvd in Syracuse seems to have undergone a management change. I normally order a coffee, toasted bagel and a fresh made to order yogurt parfait made in a dine in soup bowl. All of the managers previously agreed that dine in should be in a real bowl not a plastic to go cup. This morning Justin, a manager here at Erie Blvd. said here is your made in a to go cup, place it in the bowl yourself. Really! I asked for and received a refund. Panera has been one of those places that has never disappointed me in terms of quality, taste and fast service. Best of all, they now will bring the food out to your car for $1 extra. In my endless search for perfect sandwiches even corporately owned chains deserve a fair shake. After all I'm a huge fan of some of them. Lunchtime with the Lady and we were right next to this Panera. So it seemed like a quick and easy deal. My favorite thing about Panera is always got to be the ordering process without having to deal with a human element. When it comes to preferences on sandwiches it's so much easier to omit and add your toppings yourself and not have to worry about a mistake by a cashier. Places like this at lunchtime get swamped and wrong buttons get accidentally pressed when they rush. Totally understandable but with the tablet system it's all on you. Super user friendly and I love it personally. But they still have the option to talk to a person if you want. Best of both worlds. Today we tried a shredded chicken sandwich and a bread bowl of the broccoli cheddar soup. And I also got chips as a side and a cinnamon crunch scone that was a $1 add on at the end. I'm usually a big fan of the steak panini and the turkey bravo here. It's reliable it's good and part of their pick two menu. But I hadn't had this one but will quickly become part of my regular rotation. Decent bread chicken had good flavor and it had a spicy mustard that complimented it well. I dropped the red onion cause I didn't want that much bite with that and the mustard. All in all a good start. The soup is my 100% constant go to. I will always recommend this in any facet you choose to have it. It's one of the best things on the menu in my opinion and I can't recommend it enough. Super creamy lots of flavor and soaks well either into your baguette side or the bread bowl itself. Now for the downsides, there will always be some. They had a new drink option here I'd never seen. Blood orange lemonade. I'm a big fan of lemonade thought I'd give it a go. Apparently it's blood orange, lemon, carrot,ginger and turmeric. It's got a very off putting after taste that just left a bad taste in my mouth. Not sure if it was a bad batch or really just gross. And the scone was dry as a bone and really had no cinnamon flavor to speak of hardly. And the icing they used on it was far too thick and cloyingly sweet to the point where after 2 bites I didn't even want it and threw it away. And as always. A bit over priced. For two people it's nearly 30$ for a few pick 2 meals with a medium drink. This particular shop is larger than most of them with ample indoor and outdoor seating. Very clean and well kept and the people that brought the food were super polite and let me dump and switch out my drink which was nice of them. It's hard to rate any chain super high unless your blown away. But this one is a solid 3.5 stars and if you want something quick. It's definitely worth the time. I'm a big fan of Paneras. I like to have a healthy option I can count on when traveling. I also like a quick stop on the way home if I need a quick meal in a week night. It's also a nice meeting place. I find myself at this location to meet up with someone. I have been coming to this location for years. Sometimes parking is difficult. Most of the time they get my order right. I do have a habit of altering an order. I do feel like this location is very very busy and some times this Panera shows that- carpets are worn and need to be vacuumed more often. But a decent place to stop if you are meeting up with someone, need a bite, or want to pick up some food. Food- decent Panera fare. It is what you would expect. This location does have the numbers on the table that they will deliver the food to you. They also have kiosks to order if you do not want to talk to a human. Lastly, and I have found this at many Paneras, you are limited at lunch to 30 minutes of wifi. I do not like this. It seems too short of a time period. I understand it's their busiest time and for the tech savvy people there is probably a way around this. I have not figured it out yet. We will be back. read more

As with any reviews I write when it comes to chain eateries, it's hard to give any more than 3-4 stars if you enjoy them. This particular Panera location is clean, friendly, and steadily busy. This can make finding a table on a weekday between noon and 1 PM a bit more of an adventure than some people may be interested in. The order process has sped up thanks to Panera's new tablet style ordering stations. This is especially nice for customizing your order. I'm a big fan of the soup in a bread bowl concept, which Panera has always done a great job with. I recently tried the creamy chicken and wild rice soup and was pleasantly surprised at how creamy and tasty it was. Definitely will be back once the snow starts to fly! All in all, this Panera is a solid spot for the workday crowd if you don't mind waiting a bit. read more

Inconsistent location. We were in from out of town and ate there two nights in a row. (Don't judge! We were super tired and love Panera and already had the order in the app from the night before.) The first night it was great. We did pickup both nights. The order was perfect, no problems. Everything was great. The second night? We got the order and started to drive away and as I started to unpack the bag there were two breads instead of one bread and one chips. We hadn't left the lot yet so we went back to point out the error and get the chips. We were told, "We're out of chips." Just like that. No apology. Nothing. Maybe tell customers that when they pick up their orders? Take two. We drive away again. We unpack more of the order. We notice there is only 1 spoon and we both have mac and cheese. Still haven't left the lot so we got back. Again. For a spoon. Ugh. Then when we finally get to eat, we notice that the sandwiches are DEFINITELY not as good as the night before (same exact sandwiches again, don't judge). Bread on the bottom of one was super soggy, only one small piece of chicken which was hanging halfway out of the bread. So I'd say it's a safe bet this place is a bit hit or miss. Night one was a Thursday and night two was a Friday. So maybe it was off because it was a Friday and busier? Still filled our bellies and tasted good, so not all bad at all. I had long heard about this place and finally had a chance to try it out I was in the mood for something light so I tried the grilled cheese. flavorless,doughy,and came out to over $10 with a drink. I was short three cents and the Woman who was ringing me up was not sympathetic at all. As it happened I didn't have any credit cards on me and told her I was going to have to go out to the car to scrounge for change. Miss crabtree wasnt budging. I went with some of my friends for a late lunch and we all ordered the mac and cheese. It was absolutely incredible. Just the right amount of creamy cheese and pasta. Very disappointed in curbside packaging for pickup... tiny lunch bag size bag, with rolls, cold food and hot soup all stacked up together... and cold drink with no holder just handed with overflowing bag... for almost $20 on the order one would think they could afford at least a carry bag. Since this was being delivered to hospital for a friend, I can't comment on food other than the cold getting warmed, and the hot being cooled, and all of it inconsiderately done for the pickup customer! read more
