TLDR: There's lots of Panera's, but there's only one like this. If you need reliable breakfast/lunch catering in the area, look no further. I place orders for my company from here on average once a week basis, but sometimes as often as daily. Of all the places we order from, Panera is by far the most reliable, and my primary go-to for most of our meeting catering requests. Whether it's breakfast or lunch (or both), the food is consistently high quality, they are ALWAYS on time (even with last minute orders, though I do usually try to give them at least 24hrs advance notice), they proactively communicate with any questions or updates, the price point is favorable to our management team, and Lynnae and her team always provide exceptional customer service. Most recently, while overwhelmed with an onslaught of tasks on a Friday evening, I also had to place a breakdast order for Monday morning. In my haste, I did not select the correct day or time for delivery (breakfast on a Friday night sounds great but not for a corporation...). However, Lynnae -knowing me and my company well over the years- put two and two together and realized I probably meant Monday morning. I was obviously unreachable by work phone over the weekend, and I came into work with several voicemails from the Panera team trying to get my confirmation on delivery time. Luckily, I got a call from Lynnae right then who confirmed my breakfast order for today and was able to get it to the office in about 15min! Our new hires were well-fed this morning due to Lynnae and her rockstar team saving me from my own mistake. Needless to say, i feel comfortable giving them my personal cell moving forward! I went in today and will never go again. The manager used his hands to push down trash in the can with no gloves, walked around picking up trash then to the food counter where he started touching plates. I spoke with him that I was disgusted about food handling because he was not the only one that didn't wash their hands. I was the third to complain today any it and he told me that he didn't touch the food only the receipt on the food...i said it was unacceptable food handling and that I would be making a corporate complaint. Customer service is almost always bad here. They are usually woefully understaffed with nobody that resembles a manager in sight. My daughter worked here as and said the manager would hide in the back. I like one of their salads a lot which is why I give 2 stars instead of one. I have been to other panera locations and have had a good experience with customer service so it seems to be this location. Disappointing read more

I'm a frequent visitor to this location since it's near my job. I head over for a drink fm during my breaks. I ordered my drink, but stood around for the entire duration of my break and still no drink. I had to ask for a refund since the gentleman behind the bar was new and not one team member joined in to assist. I left with no drink, and I don't think I'll be spending my money there again. read more

Cashier was wearing gloves, handling money, and getting pastries into bags, using gloved hands, without ever changing gloves or hand washing. I asked to speak to a manager and that never happened. I wrote an email to corporate and never got a reply. read more

Yeah...It's Panera Bread. It's going to be pastries, and bread, and soup, salad, sandwiches. Ordering and acquiring your food is always a really super big hassle. There's the ordering line and then the buzzers and that always takes super long, and you are sure that they lost your order. Also, understanding the flipping menu takes a translators. There are different meal options but only some items are compatible with certain comos and meal situations. And there are like 4 different sandwich lists. I really still don't get it and I feel like an idiot every time I order. Oh well. As far as the food goes, it really is pretty good for a chain. I would pick Panera over most chain options. My husband likes it too. I would do 3.5 stars if I could, but since I can't and because the food is generally good, I rounded up, even though I experience ordering trauma pretty much every time. Oh well. Hopefully other people have better experiences. read more

The food gets 5 stars, the service gets one. Food, is the usual Panera bread quality... Mac and cheese is to die for. The service was lacking a lot this trip in. We walked in, and saw 4 people working behind the counter, not a one even looked at us for 3-4 minutes. (They all were working hard, at least ) After the hubby said something the guy making a smoothie said he would be there in a minute. He took our order and was nice enough. I went to the bathroom, along the way, saw Stacks of plates sitting everywhere! The trash cans had a pile of plates 8 inches high, and quite a few tables had not been bussed. ( when we came in, there were maybe 4 tables of people in the whole place, so it wasn't little they were slammed busy) the restroom was a mess as well!. Toilet paper was out in the stall I used. The paper towel holder was left open. Back at the table waiting for food. It took 15 minutes to get our food. The people who ordered after us were almost done eating when our food came. The server did apologize for the lateness in food. We have come to his location many times before, and have never noticed such dis array before. Kinda disappointing! read more

So I come in at 11 am on a Friday morning and you guys are out of plain bagels? Really. Left without even ordering my coffee or bagel.

Called my order in last week during lunch, drove to panera paid & told my order would be right up. Waited another 20 minutes while the workers would just walk by ignoring all the people waiting. Finally, I went back to the counter and was told my order had just been sitting there ready (hidden back behind the counter where no one can see it even though they have pick up cubbies), No one let me know. Went to the manager on shift, he DISMISSED me, said a fellow worker will take care of me, told me to wait again. After several more minutes I was given a gift paper to come back in on them. Realizing lunch is too busy for them I came back in the evening. Again, calling my order in ahead of time told it would take 15-20 minutes, I am sitting at Panera now at the 45 minute mark still waiting for my 2 salads! If I could give zero stars I would! I love Panera, but the one in Vacaville never seems to meet the standards other stores have set (like the one in Fairfield). The last 5 times I've visited, my order has not been correct. I always order to go. This past order, my soup was cold, my husband's mac and cheese was only half full, and the forgot the pastries we ordered. When we called, no one answered. Food here is always good. A little sad they took pasta off you pick two but it's understandable. Pretty expensive and customer service sucks. The cooks were talking crap the whole time. Came here for breakfast with my bf and honestly I thought everything was a bit over priced for things that wasn't as delicious as many people have told me it would be. My bf got the steel cut oatmeal for $4 thinking it'd be a good amount but it was served in this tiny cup filled barely half way. The oats seemed like it had been sitting out for a while and was, I guess, "rubbery". I don't have a better way of describing it. The only good thing was that the blueberries were fresh. For me, I got an iced chai latte which I thought was pretty disgusting. It had a really weird smell to it and left an absolutely horrible after taste. I've tried iced chai lattes from quite a few different coffee shops in Vacaville and Davis... Panera was by far the most awful tasting. I feel like $4 for the regular size was too much, but then again, if Starbucks can get away with $4-$6 for a grande, why can't Panera? I also ordered the egg white, avocado, and spinach breakfast sandwich which I thought would be a healthy choice besides the oat meal. I was kind of right...minus the grease that was dripping off my sandwich and seeping through the bag. I couldn't even finish the sandwich because the grease had been soaked through the bread. Were the egg whites really that greasy?? There wasn't as much spinach as I would have liked, but at least there was a suitable about of avocado. There was also a surprise slice of tomato that was hanging out the bottom of the sandwich...I didn't mind too much though, I really do enjoy tomatoes. At least the service was good. I just started eating my meal and am very pleased. Food was very fast and the boy who delivered my food LARRY was very sweet. I can tell he has great customer service skills as he offered to get me a knife and butter for my baguette. Very good employee. I ordered the you pick two . My only disliking was that the girl who took my order did not ask what side i wanted. And they were out of rewards cards so i couldnt sign up for one. Good job panera :) read more

I know you're a chain. I know you're super busy. I have nothing against any of that and as far as I could tell the employees were friendly. But you're a food establishment: could you please have toilet paper and soap, like, ever? I've been here maybe 5 times in the last few years and your bathroom has never been clean. This last time there was brown stuff on the loose roll of toilet paper stacked on top of the dispenser and again no soap. The total lack of interest in any kind of basic hygiene in your bathroom doesn't exactly inspire confidence. read more

Given the options around this Panera, they really need to step their game up. On several occasions, they are completely out their regular menu items. In fact, it would be quicker for them to tell you what they DO have than what they're out of. On one occasion they told us they do not serve breakfast after 10:30 and even refused to sell us a bagel. The bagels were literally sitting on the back wall behind them. On another occasion, I ordered an iced coffee that came with no ice, was room temperature and they did not have cream...anywhere. That's maybe something you should mention when somebody orders a coffee. not to mention the coffee tasted like an ashtray. With Boudin opening shortly, I will never have to visit this god-awful rat pile of a Panera. read more

The past two times I have had a rapid pickup order from here they forgot my bread bowl both times and the first time they were 10 minutes late on my order ! Also this last time I ordered a salad to go with my soup and the salad dressing was a quarter full not even half full so by the time i sat down to eat I had to eat my salad dry! Poor service and today is the worst since I have been coming to this Panera. 20 minutes waiting for food and I had to go ask where it was. After another two minutes we were buzzed to go pick up our food from the take out counter. I do not like the new self service set up. Not overly impressed with the manager not very net looking and should not be drinking energy drinks in the front. My wife ordered a tuna sandwich and it was served on a hard bread or baguette not normal wheat. I ordered the turkey bravo just no taste, dry and yes to much meat stacked in the center of the sandwich instead of layered across the bread. Staff at the pick up counter was rude and not helpful. I asked were my smoothie was I was told it there just take it. The cashier was nice but when she asked about a pastries we had to say no because all the flys we saw around the pastries. So sad to see Panera go so far down in its food and hospitality. read more

We went to this Paneras last Friday. They were very busy. We ordered our food and were given a buzzer to put at our table. We were busy chatting, so honestly, we didn't realize much time had gone by. A young man, (now know he's Chris, the manager) came by to check why it was taking so long. He did mention that they'd lost their computer registers. He came back immediatley to say the meal was coming right up, and it did. Two minutes later, he came back to apologize again AND to comp our entire lunch! We SO appreciated that and would recommend anyone going, regardless of that lovely gesture. read more

My husband and I were both given sandwiches without the egg. When we asked them about it they said they were out of egg white. Like that explains why they failed to put egg on both items. They slapped the last remaining egg on my sandwich but had to remake my husbands which took forever. Terrible. read more

Had Panera for the first time and we enjoyed it. We are a big family and don't eat out a lot due to the costs, but we took a family of 7 and each of us were very satisfied with our food and the bill. The cinamon rolls are huge and the two little kids were able to split it. The bread bowls are delish ! read more

I ordered sesame bagels a dozen of them to be ready at 7pm and instead they thought I said 7am and instead of calling and asking why wasn't there to pick up my order they just sold them. Set an order for rapid pickup. Other locations I've been to have gone over my order with me before I take it, so I waited a second until I saw an employee and asked and he gave me the nastiest look and told me to just take it. Well, okay. I ordered a turkey sandwich and chicken noodle soup and ordered my boyfriend a brownie and a lemonade. My sandwich was horrible, stale bread, the turkey was piled up in the middle so the sides of the sandwich didn't have any meat on it; half of my sandwich was hot and kinda soggy from it sitting on top of the soup while the other half was cold (kinda annoying, but whatever, makes sense because it was on the soup). No where on the online menu does it said the lemonade was aguava lemonade (gross) and my boyfriend's brownie was hard around the edges and super dry and almost stale. This location has lost my business for good. I'll drive the 10 miles to Fairfield. read more
