I like the way this Panera is laid out. The counter is up front and tables and chairs are on the side. I advise using the kiosk to order as the front counter is painfully slow. There was only one person in front of me in line that ordered only coffee, but it took 10 minutes to finish ordering. There is a board to tell you when your order is ready, but it's kind of behind a wall so it's difficult to see. Anyway the dining area is nice, almost upscale with art on the walls. There are high chairs for the kids and wheelchair accessible tables. I had an Italian Sandwich which came with a cup of soup for a dollar. I am obsessed the warm Italian sandwich on their fresh in-house-made, chewy bread. The sandwich is huge and shareable. The creamy Broccoli Cheddar soup is tasty and warmed my bones on a cold day. Panera food is consistently good. This Panera is close to US 65 exit. There is plenty of parking. The restrooms are clean. read more

Did a quick stop for their Dragonfruit refresher and to try the Dubai cookie! The stars are for the drink and cookies but I had a weird experience with the worker that took my order she literally just starred at me like I was ghost lol then proceed to take my cash with gloves on then she started to grab my cookies. I politely asked if she would change her gloves since she just took my money with those gloves. Being a food service extraordinaire I just noticed. She did change the gloves but only per my request. I stop at this location a lot while traveling through for work. I love they have the half sandwich and cup of soup special. I love the tomato soup with grilled cheese. Only seven dollars for the two. This location also has a drive-through which is very nice. They are pretty efficient and moving their drive-through line. We ordered our food so it'll be ready when we get out there. The food tasted great and we were starving. Everything was prepared correct correctly and we had no issues with our meal. However, we did notice that the floor did not seem clean and no one was walking around to tidy or clean anything up. Also, we noticed that the bathrooms were extremely dirty. I repeat extremely dirty and had not been cleaned or checked that day. In addition, they had a sign taped to the changing table in the women's restroom saying do not use. Not handy for parents! If they can't cater towards families why would anyone go there as opposed to somewhere that is more family friendly and WAY cheaper? read more

I typically LOVE Panera! And food wise it was still bomb. But the service at this location and the portion was just OK. Took a quick trip to Indiana and made a pit stop at Panera to grab a bite to eat. The 1st lady at the register was nice. She advised it was her 1st time up front so I give her grace. I asked if the butternut squash soup had dairy in it. She wasn't sure so went to ask someone. It took a while, so another lady came to the front, looked right past me standing at the counter and ask the gentleman behind me if she could help him. He kindly motioned to me and said has she been helped and the lady shrugged and said how can I help you. I advised I was waiting to find out if the soup had dairy she said shrugged and said idk and stared at me. Finally the original lady came back to the front and advised it did and completed checking me out. The food & tea was delicious per usual but there was only a tiny bit of tuna on the sandwich. My bf came in and we decided to order smoothies there instead of going to the smoothie place around the corner. The smoothies took foreverrrr. I watched the guy make one and put the other in the blender but walked away and never blended it. Finally I walked up to the counter and someone asked was there something I was still waiting on. So it wasn't just me, the lady in front of me had her order messed up. Twice I've been here and it seems like cashiers don't know anything about the products (maybe new?). My wife and I stopped in for a quick dinner. We are used to doing take out from Panera, but since we were on vacation, we dined in. It was such a good change as ambiance was quiet and cozy with plenty of seating. The staff were mostly young, friendly, and efficient. A great quick meal on this cold rainy day! Have you tried the Mediterranean Warm Bowl? Delicious as well as healthy, plus very filling. The Cheddar Broccoli Soup is always a good choice when it's cold outside and overcast. I got water as my drink since I'm trying to increase my water intake this year. Karen who waited on me was very helpful and friendly! Plus my food was ready in less than five minutes. If I could give it zero stars I would. I went on a Sunday afternoon so it was busy I'll give them that, but that shouldn't be an excuse for the wrong order. I got a latte that tasted very burnt and had chunks in it. Then traded that out for a prickly pear, it was watered down and tasted like old lemonade. I ordered a chicken sandwich and ended up with a steak sandwich. She repeated my order to me twice and I still got the wrong sandwich. I called them to see if they could give me my money back and the manager said "call back when we aren't busy" i wouldn't be calling in the first place if my order wasn't bad and wrong. The food at the Panera here tends to be pretty standard for what you'd expect from any Panera. Most of the time the portions are good and fresh. The bacon turkey bravo and Asian sesame chicken salad were good and hearty this time. The service used to be on the slower side but they have really improved wait times over the last few months. Parking is easy but cleanliness inside and in the restrooms sometimes are questionable and yield the lower rating. read more

I love the vibe and decor in here, definitely feels like an independent cafe or coffee shop, not the regular Panera. I personally enjoy the tablet/kiosk order option. It makes me feel like I can take my time clicking through the menu and I'm more comfortable making substitutions. My green tea wasn't nearly as flavorful and sweet as I normally have at other Panera locations. The Greek goddess salad dressing is absolutely delicious, it's so bright and fresh. The bacon pieces in the salad were fatty and white so I picked them out. The chicken was tender and the pickled onions had great flavor. While the food is good, I think it's a little overpriced for a counter style lunch. read more

Absolutely needs improvement! As every new business opens, there are kinks to work out, so maybe that's part of it, but who knows. Too many teenagers working here. I only bring attention to this, as they have little life experience to apply to social situations involving customer service. I've drifted away from Panera ever since they became extremely overpriced when they went "clean" with their food. Too pricey for what it is. I have picked up two to-go orders here and I'll steer clear for awhile. Each time, I had to go back, because once I got home, THEN found part of my order was missing or incorrect. I shouldn't have to triple-check my order but I guess I should everywhere now. This may be the worst Panera in the country. The menu is more limited than other Paneras. They say it is because they are a "test kitchen", yet they have no additional menu items than other locations. Even with a more limited menu, they are consistently out of the menu items that they do have. Consistently poor experience. read more

I've been to this location twice. Dine in the first time and drive thru the second. I'm disappointed with the size of this location. I didn't go during peak hours so finding a table wasn't an issue but I can imagine it would be tough to find a table during a busy lunch rush. It's simply too small. I'm going to give the staff the benefit of the doubt since this location is new but my food took a very long time considering it wasn't busy at all. My experience with the drive thru was much better. Much quicker and friendlier service. I won't come to this location much based on the fact that they're putting more appealing restaurants in this growing area. If I have a craving for Panera I'll probably visit the 86th street location. read more

Just went thru the drive thru to grab me a bowl of French Onion soup...the lady said I was getting a bagget with it...I said ok because I really didn't understand what she was talking about....however when I got homr I seen. The soup was good and very tasty...there was a small bag of the croutons that go with the soup but I was disappointed because there were only about 8 pieces in the whole bag and that is my favorite and what makes the soup GOOD. Also I wished there was a little more cheese added or if they would add it on the side to add when i get home. 2 out of 3 visits were poor experiences. The one experience that was not poor was as I would have expected. I ordered, ate, and went back to the office. Non eventful at best. Today's dine in experience was pretty bad. The tables were dirty. Dishes piled up on the garbage counter. Which itself is a bad idea. The soup was sad, the meat on my Cuban was grey. The bread is so over toasted that it removes a layer of skin in your mouth. Or it's straight up burnt in places. I'm used to great food, I've been around the block a few times. I could rant about the lack of quality here but I won't. But here's my number one concern. I'm wondering what corporate officer decided "Let's have the guests enter a tip/reward BEFORE we give them our culinary surprise. That way, on paper, it looks like we're doing something right." This is an unethical way to grab an extra dollar. You're at an imposition because the cashier kid is staring at you while you're paying. Will he screw with your food if you don't reward/tip in advance? It's like your guilted into tipping. Crazy For corporate: A tip is in place to give a server an incentive to exceed expectations. Not merely meet them. It's an evaluation at the payer's discretion. If your tip/reward up front, where's the incentive to do a good job?? This is shady and should be removed from your payment process. You charge too much for your crappie sandwiches anyway. read more

But when I got to the window I looked at my order and it was wrong and the manager didn't say anything until I asked then she proceeded to tell me they just didn't give me half of my order because they ran out after I placed my order. I got so frustrated during my first visit that I am unable to award more than one star for my overall experience. To start off, it was after 1pm on a weekday when I decided to go to the new Panera. Right when we walked in the door the line was getting backed up and was at the door. The second you look up to view the menu you realize one thing- WHERE ARE THE PRICES? There are no prices posted on the menu above the cash registers and the only paper menus put in a stand by the line were for breakfast items. We were in for a price shock as together our meals came out to over $25...and we didn't order a drink, just a water cup. It would have been nice to know that our meals were on the pricey side but how would we have known? After forking up the money we went to find a spot to sit...which didn't exist. Tables were dirty, and all were taken. The problem was that there were several tables which weren't cleaned off because some customers most likely did not understand that you clean up after yourself. We tried to sit at a tall table with multiple stools but a man informed us that his wife was sitting there. We finally found a small round (and wobbly) table that was about a foot away from the same sized table with a family of five sitting at it. The table on the other side of us could seat four and had one man sitting at it. It was a little awkward hearing the entire conversation the family next to us was having and we felt uncomfortable talking about our complaints so far (because that's all we talked about). I also noticed the line for the bathrooms as there's probably only two toilets. And then the woman sitting behind us decided to answer a Facetime call which everyone could hear. I almost lost it. After waiting and waiting and waiting, we got our food. A server came by and asked for the name for the order and delivered our food to the table. I thought my sandwich and macaroni and cheese was good but not worth that much money. I just had a hard time enjoying it after all the chaos going on. I left very unhappy and I will never come back. If you are stopping here from the interstate, go through the drive thru. If you are wanting to dine in, go somewhere else or drive to the 86th street location to save yourself. The lettuce is pink... there is NO WAY whoever prepared the salad did not notice this. My Mom and i went to Panera Bread after a very stressful and botched appointment at a different store. I went to the drive-thru where I was greeted immediately and even had my order repeated to me. It was ready by the time I reached the window. They also gave us 2 pup cups for our dogs, which of course lapped up every drop. Kayla was so very polite and efficient.
