Stopped into Pangolin specifically to try out the Pumpkin Spice Horchata, it was a one day special and I knew I needed to try it before it was gone! Of course it was absolutely delicious! I chose to get it iced, my husband and kids chose the hot version. Both were incredible! This paired very nicely with the pecan cinnamon roll I got from the Bread Girl Pop-up out front. Great specialty coffee that's not too sweet and is quick, this was my first choice that yelp recommended and it didn't disappoint.

Absolutely incredible coffee shop. I rarely get to visit, but it's always on my mind when listing my favorites. The employees are lovely and knowledgeable. Came to Reno for the weekend and since I'm a coffee person I really wanted a good cup of coffee. This little cafe is in a cute location. It was packed on this Sunday morning, so usually is a good sign. The line went pretty quick for as long as it was. Nice little assortment of bagels, pastries, and Turkish Delights. I decided on the cardamom breve and a pack of Turkish Delights which I had never tried before. To start, the coffee was everything I was looking for. Nice espresso and cardamom flavor with a perfect balance of breve creaminess. The Turkish Delights are a nice sweet treat, and would definitely get more. We ordered their ice vanilla latte with oat milk and their strawberry matcha! WOW their drinks are sooooo delicious! Both were creamy and perfectly sweetened! i absolutely adore the time i spend at pangolin café! my friend kendra introduced me to this place a few years ago, but i hadn't come in myself until two years ago. it's safe to say that pangolin has become my third place! all of the staff are such sweethearts, and have learned all of my names haha! mar is simply amazing and can make the best drinks in the truckee meadows! my go to drinks are typically a cortado (gibraltar), the iced cubano breve sub oat instead, or a hot pistachio latte when it's cold! they also get uber creative with the seasonal drink menu as well! YOU MUST TRY THE SAND HARBOR OR STRAWBERRY MATCHA OR ELSE. i love the turkish inspiration and how they blended it with an american cafe! they serve turkish delights with every drink, and the pomegranate pistachio is the best one. followed closely by the tart raspberry. this is definitely a great coffee shop to meet up with friends, or to get some school or work completed. would love to see an improved waiting line as it get crowded and confusing when it's busy. i have spent countless hours playing pokémon and getting work done here. occasionally, if you come in on a friday afternoon you may see me taking a nap in one of the blue chairs! pangolin café is a great place for beverages, delights, and vibes! i highly recommend it whether you're a local or just visiting reno! come check it out! read more

One of my favorite coffee/tea places in Reno. I am a huge fan of chai. I will go out of my way and drive all over this city to find to try any place that offers a chai latte. I have not quite been able to replicate the deliciousness of the authentic masala chai I used to have on the east coast, but I will say that Pangolin Cafe is the best in Reno. They make an awesome spicy chai...and I mean SPICY. I am a huge fan of masala and usually loooove as much spice as I can get, but I'm not going to lie - their top level is almost too spicy for me. Almost. Haha. Thankfully you can adjust the spice level to your preference. It's also fun that they offer a Turkish delight with each drink. The first time they offered a piece with my drink my initial reaction was to decline it, but I've enjoyed trying the different flavors they have over the years. My favorite so far is Rose :) They also have some other treats you can pay for if you like as well. I also like that they sell bags of coffee and tea that you can take home with you. Parking is a little limited directly in front of the store, but there's street parking nearby if you don't mind walking a little. There are tables in side but it's not huge so it might be tough to find seating during busier times. Anyway, try the chai :) read more

This is a cute little coffee spot. I'm a sucker for coffee when I travel. I can always do my go-to but I like to venture to cafes. Stumbled upon this spot bc the reviews mentioned Turkish delights. I've always seen these but never really tried it. Ordered the cookie crumble delight. It was smooth but it was missing that coffee flavor. I didn't taste too much coffee and it was missing that cookie feeling. Istanbul Fog - I can't quite explain the flavor but it was different and I didn't mind it. This was the hubs drink. I ended up drinking it all and he had my cookie crumble lol. The Turkish delight is my first time trying and I wasn't sure what to expect. It was chewy and very tart. I actually really like it. We tucked ourselves into this pristine gem of a cafe, and enjoyed their iced coffee (explained delightfully by the barista as the same light roast as their drip but increased in strength) and flakey, buttery croissants. The croissant was crisp, laminated with just enough butter to hold together and the filling was a perfect savory blend of spinach and cheese. Nice little spot out of downtown, but close enough to the strip. Aesthetically cozy joint. But small but we went at a good time, 8am on a Sunday morning. The staff were welcoming and helpful with indecisiveness. Got to appreciate the "they/them" baristas. Wife got the banana cold foam matcha drink. She said it was great. I'm not a matcha fan so i can't vouch. But as far as iced coffees and cold brews. I don't need room for creamer or sweetener. To determine a good cup of cold joe. Okay, this place is really worthy of the five stars and all of the hype! I came here two days in a row while I was visiting my mom in Reno. The fist time I decided to stop by, was because of all the wonderful different choices of drinks Pangolin cafe has to offer. The good reviews always helps too, but let me tell you, I had the orange latte and it was so good, the coffee was smooth and strong while the subtle flavors of orange and orange zest complimented it perfectly. It was hard to get something else today but I had the cardamom latte with cardamom powder, which is just ground up spice, the real way, with good quality honey and macadamia nut milk. Seriously, it's ridiculous how good this was! If that wasn't enough, they give you a small Turkish treat to go along with your coffee, those are delicious and not expensive and worth every penny. Best matcha in town! Coconut matcha was really yummy and creamy. Strawberry matcha is my personal favorite, however it is fairly sweet so be aware it can sometimes take away from the matcha flavor. I love going to Pangolin for specific specialty drinks. Their rose vanilla matcha is one of my favorites that I crave during the summer. Incredible! I will forever recommend Pangolin to everyone that I know. It has a relaxing atmosphere and is beautifully decorated. The seating area is small and can be alittle too cramped when super busy, but there's also a great outdoor patio space. They are also dog friendly which is always a plus. The staff are really nice and personable. They are also very knowledgeable and offer great advice on drinks if you're not sure what to get. And you get one free Turkish delight (sweet little gummy treat) with every purchase. I've tried different drinks previously, but currently my obsession is the iced lavender latte with oatmilk sprinkled with real lavender. Pangolin Cafe is a Midtown Reno must! Located just off Virginia on an unobtrusive lot, you cannot go wrong here with the creative and diverse selection of lattes and tea lattes they offer. The service is also technical yet super friendly and sincere. A nice change of pace: good honest customer service. They offer many styles from Turkish to Cuban to Matcha to Turkish Fogs and specials. I had the Fall Fog and it was perfect nostalgic goodness. Probably the single best tea latte I have ever had. I love that it was not loud sweetness but just a gentle afterthought allowing the pumpkin spice flavors to be the center of attention to the palette. Best coffee experience I have had in a long time. Between being a full-time student and working full-time, I no longer measure time in days or weeks, but in how long it has been since I visited Pangolin. The cardamom latte in particular is unreal. I came in this morning feeling exhausted, stressed, and questioning my trajectory in life, and after one sip I left feeling like I had a spiritual awakening and like I could possibly run for Congress or something. The baristas here are also insanely nice, and if it weren't for the fact that I'm able to grab a coffee and a bite to eat here, I would have thought this was a therapist's office, because somehow it's like they knew what I needed before I did. There are two girls in particular I see a lot - Jazmine and I think the other girl's name is Mar (???) - who bring the most amazing energy every time I see them, and I feel like they put their entire soul into what they do every morning. In general, if this coffee shop were a person, I would trust them with my taxes, my secrets, and probably my first-born child. Literally a 10/10, and I will continue to come here on a regular basis until someone has to intervene. read more
