Pistachio latte & Pumpkin spice waffle
    Tami F.

Great coffee spot! The person taking my order was amazing.......she was patient & answered all my questions! I got there mid morning so they were out of all pastries & food except waffles. I had the fall special pumpkin spice waffle & I got an iced pistachio latte! Both were really good!! Let me tell u.....& don't hate me but I am not a pumpkin spice fan at all but that waffle wow....it was so good & if ur not a pumpkin spice fan it will convert u! The waffle wasn't like ur average waffle it was soft & it looks small but it was more than enough. There were places to sit inside and out and the space was inviting. Overall great experience and coffee shop!

Pangolin is such a cute café in Midtown! The complimentary Turkish sweet treat that comes with your drink is the cherry on top and makes the whole experience feel extra special. The café has a crisp, clean vibe that's both welcoming and relaxing. The drinks are delicious, the prices are standard, and that little Turkish treat is what really makes it all worth it. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is charming, and it's a perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends.

My go to coffee shop, there consists with their drinks and great customer service. my preferred drink is the sand harbor with almond milk! when ordering you get a free Turkish delight. Before heading into this aesthetically pleasing coffee shop, Please keep in mind it is a small cafe with limited seating and parking.

    1/2 Sweet Strawberry Matcha

I've gone here twice within the past month for the Strawberry Matcha and I will be back again very soon because it's just that good. I get mine 1/2 sweet and it's the perfect mix of matcha with their housemade strawberry simple syrup with fresh strawberries. I've only grabbed drinks to-go but the inside is super cute with plenty of seating. I went in the last morning on a weekday and it wasn't too busy but when I went on a Sunday it was packed in the morning but I still only waited ~15 minutes for my drinks. I will be back for the strawberry matcha and hope to try some of their other unique drinks in the future too!

This cafe is located next to the Emerson and it is very cute! It's my first time here and the customer gave me a great recommendation of the "sand harbor" drink. It is a little sweet but I did have an extra shot of espresso to balance it out. Every drink comes with a free Turkish delight, I got the vanilla rose and it was a delicious little treat

Tucked away is this cute little shop that has a big coffee and tea menu. They also make their own Turkish delight and a free piece is given with every purchase. I tried the pomegranate pistachio and it was very good with my matcha latte. Indoor seating. Please come and create your own adventure.

The ambiance is super cute and a cozy cafe to sit and yap at. There is places to sit inside and outside. They offer one free turkish delight with a purchase of any drink. I ordered the oatchata. It was really creamy and had a nice balance of oat milk, vanilla and cinnamon. There were two employees manning both the bar and register. They worked really well together and tag teammed the rush of people waiting to order and to get their drinks.

Wonderful coffee drinks and Turkish delights! They have a seasonal drink menu. I got the mango sticky rice matcha, great mango flavor to complement the matcha. Do not miss out on their chai, it is the best in town. Turkish delights are out of this world.

One of my favorite local spots! The staff is always so nice and make the bests drinks. Anything matcha here is a win. And the Turkish delight that comes with every order is simply delightful!!! Calm clean interior, perfect for studying or hanging out.

This coffee shop was amazing! I saw it online and had to check it out. The baristas were incredibly kind and recommended their miso brown sugar matcha when I asked for matcha suggestions. I loved how it had both sweet and umami taste to it - it surprisingly worked really well together. My boyfriend ordered the pistachio latte, which was also delicious. I especially liked the crushed pistachios on top; it was a really nice touch. With each drink purchase, we also received two complimentary Turkish delights. We tried the pomegranate and pistachio flavors, and both were yummy. I will definitely be coming back the next time I'm visiting Reno.

Such a cute little Cafe with adorable decorations and a patio for relaxing at while enjoying your beverage of choice. Don't forget your complimentary Turkish delight. The coffee is delicious and the staff is very friendly.

I was in town only for a day but I always need my matcha fix, so I went in trusty Yelp to find where I would get that. Pangolin Cafe is a very aesthetically designed space with a peaceful and stylish vibe. I had a few questions and the girl working was very friendly and gracious. She recommended the banana cold foam matcha and I went with it. The drink was a very carefully handcrafted treat , and it came with a free Turkish delight as well! I would definitely visit again next time I'm in Reno, thank you Pangolin!

9/9/25 FYI. Special - Pumpkin pie waffle
    Lee D.

Quality/Quantity - Just gave more blood at Quest and wanted to treat myself to a decent coffee and breakfast! Limited menu, but done well. Seasonal specials, etc. Got the Cubano Breve - So good! Not as strong as the Cubano I drank when in Little Havana in Florida. But still good. Pumpkin Pie Waffle - My wife really enjoyed this. I thought it was good also. I like pumpkin, but not as a puree. I also got two confection samples, two Turkish delights; my daughter's favorites. I will bring her next time she visits. But not as good as the ones we buy in SLO, Monterey, etc. Atmosphere - Very small local business. Limited indoor seating, plenty of unused outdoor seating but it was too cold today. See pictures. Very small shared parking lot, but plenty of free street parking. Open 6 days a week from 7am to 5pm, closed Saturdays. Clean shared restrooms. Service - Love the fact that the team here knows all the regulars! So welcoming and friendly. Said bye to everyone as they left, etc. Price - $14 + generous tip, but that is the price for quality! Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2019; looking forward to introducing you to more people.

While searching, we noticed that most nearby places had bad reviews, which already felt discouraging. Still, we were hungry and decided to give this place a try. There was one employee wearing a cute Christmas hair accessory, it looked a bit cartoonish and was kind of funny. Unfortunately, that was probably the highlight. The food and the overall style of the place were disappointing. Plastic plates and utensils, a breakfast burrito that fell apart because it wasn't wrapped properly (I didn't take a photo, but trust me, it did), and a large savory breakfast pancake with something resembling béchamel... or a very poor imitation of it. To make things worse, the table we were seated at was dirty, and my husband actually had to clean it himself. To be fair, the coffee, the salsa verde that came with my husband's burrito, and the crepe on its own were pretty good. But as a whole, the meal just wasn't enjoyable or well-executed. I understand this is meant to be a very casual, fast-service concept, but even with that in mind, the execution and cleanliness were disappointing. So, I wouldn't recommend spending money here, even if everything else is closed.

Our family of 8 arrived here to a line that only continued to build. The line exited the building and began to wrap alongside the building. Seating here is first come first serve and are only designated by staff. Saving tables and sitting down prior to placing an order is a big no-no. BUT!! That didn't stop others from doing this anyhow. Let me start off by saying how chaotic this place is. This began from the initial line up to order and continued throughout the meal. Staff seemed flustered, overwhelmed, and moody. I'm not sure if the vibe of our visit would be considered "normal" to the staff and regulars but from my perspective looking in, it just seemed uncomfortably unorganized. As a forewarning to those who have never visited this establishment before, do your research and try to decide on what you would like to order prior to reaching the register area. Being prepared assists in quicker lines and you avoid looks of annoyance overall. Our family ordered a bunch of stuff: *THE REGGIE- hold the cheese & gravy *BLUEBERRY CORNMEAL PANCAKE - single *CORNMEAL PANCAKE- single *BUILD YOUR OWN BISCUIT - bacon, sausage, egg *Side order of EGG *Side order of BACON x2 *CHICKEN FRIED STEAK PLATE w/ BISCUIT *HASH BROWN, 2EGGS, + BACON *THE MONEYBALL *BEIGNETS Food came out at all different times. It was just unfortunate how one child in particular's meal came out at the very end when everyone was pretty much done with eating. The female staffer who brought over the dishes dropped plates on the table before scurrying off. At first I thought it was just a random occurrence but when it consistently happened, there was no way to justify that kind of service. Food was doable. The whole hype over Pine State Biscuits was simply that- JUST HYPE. The dining experience overall and vibe of the eatery was just not my scene. Kudos to those who genuinely enjoy the establishment but I'm gonna have to pass. I wouldn't openly waste my time or calories here.

And why aren't more places doing this? Opted for the Traditional breakfast burrito made into tacos. Felt like it was the most complete option of items that I would want in a taco versus some of the others like having potatoes in it or something. Came with choice of potatoes, pico, and salsa. The pico and salsa were just the right amount for the 3 tacos. I really enjoyed the tacos, but wish it had a bit more protein. I probably would have been better off with sausage or maybe adding sausage to have both. Me and a buddy also split a side of French toast. I had heard they have the best french toast and while I'm not a big french toast fan (i enjoy it, just never order it), It was great. Not great enough to convert me to getting it, but definately one of the better ones ive had. We will be back again for sure. Wish I remembered the servers name, she was great. I think it was Alana.

When we arrived, we were seated immediately, which was a great start. The restaurant was busy, but no busier than many other places we've visited. After being seated, however, we waited... and waited... and waited for someone to even acknowledge us. Nothing. During that time, we watched our server attend to several other tables, clear dishes, grab items, and process payments. We also noticed two employees standing near the register. One of them looked over at our table multiple times, so it was obvious they knew we were there. Still, no one came over to greet us or let us know someone would be with us shortly. As we looked around, we realized we were the only Asian family in the restaurant. Whether intentional or not, it left us feeling overlooked, uncomfortable, and wondering if we were being treated differently. It was an awful feeling. Eventually, our server came to our table but never apologized for the long wait or acknowledged that we'd been sitting there unattended. By then, the experience had already left a bad impression. I was there with my husband and our three boys, and it was difficult trying to explain why we seemed to be the only table being ignored. Will we come back? NO I'm sure this restaurant has plenty of customers and won't miss one family, but every guest deserves to feel welcomed and valued. A simple greeting or apology would have gone a long way. As for the food, it was good. But good food alone doesn't make up for poor service or for making guests feel like they don't belong. Dining out is about the entire experience, and unfortunately, ours was overwhelmingly disappointing. I'm typically a very generous tipper because I appreciate good service. However, when a restaurant makes my family feel out of place and overlooked, it's hard to justify leaving anything. Respect and hospitality should be extended to every customer.

I had a tough time deciding between the Homegrown Burger and the Alaskan Salmon, but I went with the burger. It was cooked exactly how I requested, juicy, flavorful, and easily one of the better burgers I've had in Reno. I'd give it a 9.2/10. My wife ordered the macaroni and cheese. She thought the flavor was delicious, but the sauce was a little thinner than she prefers, so she gave it a 6/10.
