I have been dreaming of the pork cheek and the chili jam from the recent panini that I ate at Panino Divino. There were 4 of us, so we each ordered a different panini to get a sampling size that made sense to us. That pork cheek was by far the best. So tender and full of flavor. That heat and sweet from the chili jam was the perfect combination. The chewy breads used are so good. Anything with italian cheese has my heart, for sure. This is a smaller place with limited seating. A lot of their customers usually get their paninis 'to go', but there are about 7 or so seats inside to sit. The store was pretty busy, but the woman behind the counter stopped everything that she was doing to help us decide what to order. She was very helpful, asked the right questions and made some fantastic recommendations to us. We had a variety of panini interests amongst us four, and she was able to deliver. Throw in some delicious (cheap) wine and lunch is served! The glasses of wine are so cheap, you have to add a glass of wine to your panini meal. I wish we didn't get so full from the paninis, because their charcuterie plates look really good. Their selection of meats and cheeses delight the senses when you walk in the door. read more

After visiting the Vatican I was looking for something close to fulfill my appetite. I decided a panini would be a perfect meal for lunch. I did not choose wrong. The sandwiches were made fresh to order and there was a large assortment to chose from. The bread was light and crispy on the outside and soft inside. The toppings were fresh and tasty. Very small place, 8 chairs in total but the point is to eat "street food" as they call it. But the main and only menu, the various panini, are indeed very very good! Which you can tell by the incredible amount of locals despite the extremely touristic area! I trekked the hot "Schioppetino" with chili salami from Calabre, brilliant. So glad we stumbled across this place for a late afternoon lunch. After a long packed day at the Vatican, we were STARVING. Luckily, the big toasty sandwiches here really hit the spot. Wow! Amazing food and wine!!!! Just walk in and look at the meats, cheeses and breads and you will know you picked the right place! Awesome customer service. The weather was great so when we ordered I looked outside to see if there were tables, they immediately moved chairs and a table outside for us. Great local wine. Needed some food post a Vatican tour and stumbled upon this place and Im so glad we did. The cheese and meats are so fresh and flavorful! The bread on the paninis were delicious. The small store has some outside stools for seating and it was a great place to indulge before continuing on with our day. I loved this place! It gets crowded but service is great!! You'll hear them shouting out orders but while they make your panino, they take care of everything. They'll chat with you, they'll offer wine to others, will give change to some others. It feels very "Italian" as it is very welcoming and friendly. Best sandwich I've ever had. Right away we were greeted by the woman working, she was so kind. She offered us samples of the chili jam, cheese, and wine. She asked what dietary restrictions we had and let us customize our sandwiches. I'm lactose intolerant so I got mine without cheese and my friend's a vegetarian so she helped him make the best sandwich for him. I got the spicy salami with mushrooms and chili jam and I added the grilled eggplant. OUT OF THIS WORLD. This is the only place I've ever wrote a yelp review for because it was that good.
