Wife and I came on a Friday evening after seeing a video on IG. Walked in and spoke to some folks that were there were also there after seeing video as was most everyone else ordering. Wait was 40 min. for the Sicilian grandma pie and it was worth the wait. Garlic knots were large and garlicky and panko slice was delicious. The young man who assisted us was so polite and attentive. Wanted to like this pizza. It sounded good. Prices were very reasonable. However, the pizza was only kind of crispy but very greasy when it was brand new. After 15 minutes, the pizza was floppy. So floppy I could not even hold it. No amount of reheating in the oven would fix the floppy mess. You could reheat this pizza until it burns and it would still be floppy. Next best pizzeria in Monmouth county Basille's just opened up maybe about a year Ago and I just got the chance to try it out. Apparently they have the same artichoke pizza that they have in Brooklyn next to Barclays center that everyone raves about. Not sure though. This place is really making a statement with the slices they have and what they offer. The actual place itself is really nice inside and renovated nicely. The artichoke slice they have is so good but what really got me coming back multiple times was the Sicilian slice that they have. The Sicilian slice is easily a top 5 pizza slice I've ever had and I keep trying to introduce it to other people. read more

When we moved here in 2021 from Hoboken, we were overjoyed when we found out artichoke Basille's was associated with this basilles and boy, it was amazing specialty and plain pizza including one of the best grandma pies ever. .... Fast forward to 2023.... Unfortunately there's been changes to ownership that haven't even been advertised ... and since then the pizza is now extremely terrible and menu is totally cut back. Today we ordered our last pie from basilles, I'm not even sure what they put on the bottom of the dough but it resembles Panko crumbs and is a mess. Not quite sure. As a fairly new resident of Redbank and still trying to find my favorite pizza place , thought I would venture out and try it. Ordered well done siciliano to get a crispy crust. 1- it was burned 2- after picking up my order that I was told 35 minutes upon getting it home the dough was rubber. Not crispy not fluffy not anything delicious. although I can not blame the distance I had to drive , on this establishment I've never ever had a pizza where the dough was so rubbery that it was not only difficult to bite it, but chew it as well. The flavor was eh ok, but the texture of the dough was not ok! I will possibly try them again but I will eat it at the establishment next time. My fiancee and I love this pizzeria! The food is well-priced and the quality is a step above other pizzerias in the area. The Basille's pie is a great NYC style pizza with delicious cheese and a tasty crust. It's on the thin side and not too doughey (just to my liking). Service has been a little slow on our visits but the food makes up for it. Pro-tip: Their mozzarella sticks are SO. GOOD. Real cheese with delicious breading. Order some for the table! read more

Decent margarita pizza, however the nice salad was disappointing as the "leafy greens" were just iceberg lettuce. I was expecting a spinach/arugula mix. First time ordering from here. Just ordered 1 plain pie by phone for takeout. When I get there one of the workers apologized and said it would be 10 minutes more. After waiting 10 minutes I went back in. Worker got the Pizza and gave me an order of breadsticks for free. I did not expect that. It was a very nice gesture. When I got home I tried both and was very happy. The pizza just looks beautiful and tastes great. Sauce is sweet and a little bitter. Has the perfect amount of cheese. Crust was nice and crunchy. Bread sticks were delicious. Came with similar sauce as the pizza for dipping. Very pleased with the customer service and the pizza. Definitely going back. I've had this pizza a few times and really liked it. But last nights pizza made me have to write a review! The crispy crust is so good and its unique, i can't figure out what the crispy crumbles are. Highly recommend the vodka sauce pizza but the plain and Buffalo chicken pizza are good as well. I always pick up my pizza to avoid delivery driver delays/mishaps. So after I ordered, the restaurant ended up calling me back letting me know it may be an extra 5-10 minutes. I appreciated that so I'm not waiting around at the restaurant. read more

I saw a Facebook ad for Basille's and their Sicilian pizza looked good so my wife and I decided to try the place. I got a regular Sicilian and one Voka sauce Sicilian slice. My wife got a regular slice. The weird thing is all of the regular slices in the case were all very well done with burned crust. Not are cup of tea. The Sicilian slice on the other hand were not burned and very good. The weird thing is for beverages there is no Coke or Pepsi but RC Cola! RC Cola??? I didn't even know this was still around! I'm a pizza snob born and bred in Brooklyn, NY during the hey day of pizza where the quality of pizza was far above anything you could find even in Manhattan so I consider myself somewhat of an expert at least on NY style pizza. I made my second trip to Basille's today for curbside pickup and I just had to write them a review. I order a Vodka Pie and a Sicilian with pepperoni and they were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! The crust on the pizza for both was crisp with a slight char on the bottom and the cheese had a perfect caramelization on the pepperoni and a perfect melt on the fresh mozzarella on the vodka slice. This place is definitely worth the time and money. I'll be sending all my Bayshore peeps in whenever I can. read more

Considering I am from Brooklyn, my pizza expectations can be kind of high but from what I've seen online, I thought this pizza was going to be great. While waiting, my husband wanted ice for his soda and they didn't have ice. 25 minutes later we are still waiting so my husband goes up to the counter to check on the pie. The guy said you can have this one and proceeded to take a pie that had been sitting on top of the oven in a box. That was strike one. I would've taken the pie to go if that was what I went there for. Strike 2- the sauce. Awful and tastes like it was from a jar. Way too sweet and overpowered the pizza itself. Honestly VERY disappointed in this burnt pizza bottom was so burnt it tasted awful and cheese was over cooked and hard not nice a gooey like it should be. We ordered a large Sicilian pie which is usually enough to fill our family of four..sadly mistaken, as look what they do..they make it three slices smaller than a normal Sicilian pie put it in a large box so you don't realize how small it is until you get home and it was $20 for this pizza!! Rip off!! Three stars only because the two large salads and artichoke slice we had were tasty. Although salad said it contained olives and cucumbers and there were only two olives and two slices of cucumber with a bunch of lettuce and onions. Again, kind of cheap for the $10 price tag. I think they belong in Manhattan with these prices or should ensure they actually give you a large pie minus the burn when you pay for it. Not worth the $$. read more
