Parking is good. Cons: Orange chicken a little too tough, over cooked maybe or too much coating, couldn't tell exactly. Was there today at 12:30 pm, line was long and only one person making drinks, serving the food and charging. One guy from the back, maybe the cook, kept coming to the front and stirring the food but never took orders. I bought a can of Diet Coke. It tasted flat, looked on the bottom and it was expired. I would go back, maybe next time order ahead or don't go during lunch time. I probably won't order a drink next time. read more

Tried this place out recently. Got the black pepper steak and the spicy chicken - both entrees were actually quite good. But why only 3 stars? One star knocked off because the fried rice was crunchy and the chow mein was very plain. And two stars knocked off because they charge 50 cents if you use a credit card. In this day and age, any business that passes along the credit card processing fee to the customer shows that THEY REALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER. When I'm only ordering one plate of food, that's a 5% surcharge just to use my credit card, which is utter BULLSHIT! Since the entrees were good, I would only go back if I were ordering at least $40 worth of food due to this credit card usage charge. But I would never go back just to pick up lunch or dinner. I'll go to Panda Express or any other Chinese takeout where they don't charge you ridiculous fees. read more

Patiently waited for this spot to open since first seeing the sign months ago, and I am so happy it finally did. Great food, reasonably priced and staff is friendly. I am glad this side of town now has a great fast food chinese spot other than P.E. My family loves it and we try to visit once a week. For those saying that a .50$ credit charge is so horrible, think about that over packed container of food they give you or the fact that they do not charge extra for shrimp. SO underrated, literally! I see a lot of reviews saying their food is sub-par or not as good as other places, but in my opinion, that's not necessarily true. While opinions are subjective and everyone has a right to having one, part of me feels that this place is being compared to Asian 'cuisine' like panda express or pick-up-stix. Not fair! Ma and pop places like this are hard to come by, especially in this area. It's not like people come to the Brea/Yorba Linda area for it's chinese food. This one, particularly, deserves more hype - their food is quality and delicious, their customer service is great, and while the under-staffing is an objective issue for hole-in-the-wall places like this, they still pump out delicious hot food at a good price. So tonight after working late I was in the mood for some to-go Chinese food. My go to place was closed for some reason. So I had to scramble to find a place close to me other than Panda Express. Their food is good but I prefer thicker noodles. I remember seeing a new place next to Campitelli's Cookies off of Imperial Highway and Rose drive. The place is called Pan Pan Wok. They had many menu options there like most places. I was happy to see they had the thicker chow mein noodles. Yes! Their combo choices are a one item, two item, three item or you can get a bowl with one item. Prices are reasonable and all the food looks fresh. I went with the two item combo with all noodles with Black Pepper Chicken and Mushroom Chicken. I was happy with these choices but like I said they all looked good. I ordered the orange chicken and kung pao chicken yesterday for dinner. The food was very good. The only thing I didn't like was the service charge of 3.5% for paying with a credit or debit card. It seems to me that adding the extra charge is very nit picky, why not just increase the cost of food a bit? Since it's a new place, I asked if I could try the coconut shrimp. The lady said they don't let people try. No big deal, I am thinking they are still being cautious with COVID. As someone else said, I really wanted to like this place because it is close to where I live. I also agree with others who mentioned the ridiculous credit card charge. Geez, just charge a little more. But my real issue concerns the quality of my meal. I ordered the house chow mein- usually a good test of a Chinese restaurant. Before leaving work I ordered online, got there and was met with a blank stare, then, oh I see your order now. Please wait. Oh ok, no prob. I get the food, probably 1 1/2 lb worth so lots in the container. Finally I sit down to eat and immediately figured out where the weight came from. I had a container full of noodles like you get at the Mongolian BBQ at the Brea mall. Ok maybe that's a good sign. But then over the course of the next 15 mins I find 2 1/2 shrimp, a few threads of cabbage but no other vegs, a few morsels of chicken, and I think pork and that's it. Also, very little flavor- I had to soak what I did eat with soy sauce then dumped the rest. Overall, a huge disappointment and frankly I was surprised given they only opened a few weeks ago. You would think they would be doing their best early on. I will give it one more shot and revise my rating "up" if deserved. Maybe avoid ordering online. Oh and I had a lovely MSG rush around 2 am. Not sure what to do about that next time. You gotta do better PanPan Wok! read more
