We ordered a basic pepperoni pizza that arrived crumpled up and folded into one side of the box. When we straightened out what we assumed was a delivery mess, we discovered the pizza itself was cut by what could only be a drunk person. I will give credit when credit is due. This Papa Johns is good as a 3rd best if you want pizza quick and deliverable here in the Land O Lakes area. But, I give 2 stars at best because my family and I had decided to try their take on a "Pizza Bowl". I honestly thought it was a joke after we had received the pizza bowl I had ordered online. The bowl which had consisted of sauce, extra cheese, pepperoni & olives was no more than 1/16", cost &10. I'm giving 2 stars because the pizza is good but the delivery experience is only occasionally good. Our most recent order was placed online at 5:24PM and a 65 minute delivery estimate. At 6:30PM, I checked the tracker and it showed "Delivered" but there was no pizza. Called the store and was placed on a "brief hold" of 10+ minutes before speaking with someone. I was told that when they are busy, they use DoorDash to deliver but the driver's car broke down and they would expedite delivery with another driver. I said that by the time that happened, the pizza would be cold so I wanted to cancel the order. The pizza was delivered at 7:07PM. This isn't the first bad delivery experience. Another one that I can't understand is ordering ahead with a 6:00PM delivery request and the pizza shows up late. Sometimes 40 minutes late. They had the order since early afternoon so it wasn't like they didn't know they had one that needed to be delivered around 6:00. read more

It's always almost late, they've pay my house on a route and delivered it more than an hour late and thought they were doing me some sort of favor by not charging for the delivery the second time. 2nd year in a row we have been disappointed in Papa John's in Land O Lakes for Halloween. This year I placed my order at 11:25am for a 4:15pm pick up. When we arrived they did not have our order. Keep in mind, I verified the location twice, my name and phone number were confirmed and I was thanked for being a Papa John's reward member (clearly identifying me in their system). We were told we could wait two hours for them to fill the order now. Manager was nonchalant and insisted we ordered it at another location. Meanwhile I show my call log proving the correct location. Last year we waited two hours past the delivery time and went to the location to pick it up to avoid an additional wait only to find they hadn't even started it. If you want to be disappointed in service and treated like you are not important swing by Papa John's of LOL. Wouldn't recommend this location or ordering when hungry. Too many other pizza options to put up with this type of customer service. read more

The manager got on the phone and could barely speak and said I had to call an online number, but she didn't have the number I needed to call. Best to go in, order and wait. I have done this twice when picking my kids up from school. It only takes 10 minutes for side orders or fried items, and about 15 minutes for a pizza. I'm not a big fan of their pizza but my kids do like their mozzarella stick Pizza, their garlic bread sticks, and their chicken wings. Each time I've ordered they are ready very quickly but I wait in the store. read more

Great staff. The place can get very busy on weekend nights, as it is the only pizza place in the area. They deliver to all of Land O Lakes and some of Lutz. Remember to TIP the driver, that is how they earn $$$. read more

Twice I have ordered directly from this store, twice my order has been over 2 hours (once they took down the information incorrectly - both phone and address - and tried to deliver somewhere else). They seem to be able to handle online orders OK, but if you call them directly there are issues. Customer service is OK, but not even an offer of any kind to make up for the mistakes, just that they would be glad to make my pizzas again at full price. read more
