I was warned that pizza can take a while so I was waiting at 4pm for the place to open and I was 10th in line already. Luckily, I saw that they also take online orders too so I did that while on call. For dinner, we got 2 12" pizzas.. One was the Zach attack (sausage, Italian beef and giardinara) and the other was a customized veggie pizza, plus a side of cheesy bread. We did order pickup since we lived ~15 mins away in the backroads. The location was easy to find, and parking should be easy since it is in a big lot. Depending on the time, it could be hard to find but in Plano...I doubt that. The service was great. There was a lot of friendly people I encountered. When I got home, the smell was amazing. The cheesy bread was very cheesy. It contained, probably, at least a 1lb of cheese. The side was sauce was delicious and I liked how it was a thick pizza sauce and not runny. Maybe it was due to the 15 min drive, but I thought these pizzas were tavern style... thin and crispy. While the pizza was delicious, it was thin but it was not crispy. It was just a basic thin pizza. However, it had a lot of toppings on it! My wife got the double dough, and for a 12" pizza...it was too much dough for her. She said she will like to try the normal next time. Overall, the pizza was great. The quality was top notch. Flavors were there for a great pizza. I live in an area that my options for pizza is Papa Johns, Domino's, or Pizza Hut... if I had to compared to those local ones... Uncle Lars is 20 out 10, if not more. However, for a pizza itself... it was still delicious and I would get them again. Since the location is easy and they do have a decent amount of tables (depending on when you arrive)...I may try eating in next time.

Mike & Denise's is one of several restaurants the owners have around town it seems. For certain this location is the best known. The prices can be kind of high on some things, okay for others. A kind of haphazard setup once you get inside. It's got the entrance where you can choose two ways to go, whether it's eating inside or for pickup. The inside dining area is also kind of hard to get through. Has a patio. There's a good amount of seating. Most people seem to get beers. Pretty expected with these going great with pizzas. It's about $9 for one of their seasonal cocktails. We got a couple including the Lucky Charm. A classic. This is made with coconut, Malibu coconut rum, orange juice, and pineapple juice. It's about $12 to get a personal pizza with a few toppings of your choosing. We got the build your own option. A great option is giardiniera because it's like a few toppings in one to be honest. The pizza has a pretty crispy crust and is great for sharing. Crazy busy because it's one of the best known places in town to go. It's located on Veterans Parkway in the one plaza. They have half off pizzas on Tuesdays.

The other food options they have are tasty as well (try the Philly quesadilla, seriously). LOTS of beer to choose from, and creative cocktails that match the season or holiday. My favorite thing about it though is the atmosphere - it's always a party, but family friendly. The owners are great, they hire lots of local students and support local sports and organizations, and when the Bears pulled off that win over the Packers in the wild card, they were out of town but bought a round for the whole bar! The place isn't that big so it always seems crowded even with a few people. Coming here it was already crowded. It's usually open for only dinner weekdays so it has limited hours. There's longer hours on weekends. A lot of menu items are common. There's a lot more than just pizza. Also has pasta to choose from. It's about $20 to get a pizza. A ripoff even though it's pretty great. There's plenty of meaty toppings but we got the Spinach Primavera. Also there's a few side items to choose. They have salads if eating healthier. Even these are pretty expensive. There's crazy prices and the portions are crappy to be honest. Great idea to call ahead. It's closed Mondays.
