The Pork Chop is delicious and everything on their menu I would have to assume it's just as great. I have eaten there several times and I always enjoy their food, bread and salads. The only complaint that I have is that I asked the server twice for a to-go box and I was ignored both times. He was getting everyone's plate, sometimes two at a time, and boxing their leftovers for them. I did not particularly like that he was taking the plates away from the customer and going to another table to box the leftovers away. I would prefer that if someone does that for me that they would perform that directly in front of me. My plate was taken away from my table and he proceeded that task with everyone else's left overs as well. It was a table that had all of the plates that he previously cleared and I wasn't able to view what he was using to transfer the food into everyone's container. I called the following day when I noticed that my left overs didn't quite look familiar to me from what I had left on my plate the evening before. I called Perry's Steakhouse and spoke with Naomi who had my name & number and said that Ashley B. would call me back the following day. I waited for over two weeks and no one has returned my phone call yet! I will leave my complaint here in my review and let everyone know that it's not a wise thing to have someone else box your left over food away from you and out of your sight because you'll never know whose left overs you may get. I am in no way implying anything negative in the quality of the food that served at Perry's because they are "the Best" in my opinion; however, they should respect the customers request if they ask for them to give them a to-go box so they can box their food up on their own. I wouldn't hesitate to eat there again but I will always ask for a to-go box so I can put my own food away in the future.

Even though there were people, service wasn't slowed down and food came out fast. Their menu is long- sorta over stimulating- but ask the waitress what to get. She did not point me in the wrong direction. I had their shrimp ceviche which was spicy. The fish taco was really good. It was hot and not just regular hot but pipping hot! Served on corn tortilla. On the table they had all these different sauces. I love me a sauce selection. The place is affordable and great! I would definitely go back!

Tortillas were fine, but the seasoning on the fillings felt off. All the salsas were pretty subpar and didn't add much. We ordered the al pastor fish taco, which was probably the best of the bunch (still nothing special). The regular pork al pastor tacos were cut into cubes instead of the traditional shaved style, and that made the meat overcooked and tough to chew. Overall it was an average experience. Jordan, our server, was efficient, patient, engaging, respectful and spoke highly of the restaurant as a whole. In addition to great service, the restaurant is not so loud that we can not hear each other. The whole table was engaged in conversation. Water glasses were not so heavy that it was difficult for elderly hands to lift. The same goes for the plates and silverware. We often encounter cumbersome utensils that lead to embarrassing spills that can take away from the dining experience. The lighting was also good. Everyone was able to see their menus without needing the flashlights on their phones. Amazing! Everyone's order was correct and delicious. Even those who normally do not take home leftovers, took theirs home. This was a super enjoyable outing that everyone will be talking about for a while! The interior is a mix with some nicely updated areas and some outdated areas (e.g. their restrooms). Their happy hour lasts until 7pm 6 days a week....which is practically unheard of these days. It has a good food selection with 11 hearty dishes ranging from $9 - $18 currently. As far as drinks, they have the $5, $6, and $8 basic drinks, and then the higher priced specialty cocktails (5 of them) for $11 each. I tried the toasted ravioli and mussels. For drinks, I tried the margarita and an old fashioned. Toasted ravioli - I have to admit....Houston is probably never going to beat any of the restaurants serving toasted ravioli in St. Louis. Here, they're more rubbery and you can barely taste any beef. Mussels - a big disappointment, they are steamed in garlic herbs and white wine, but on my visit they tasted sour and putrid. Margarita - a very smooth drink made with triple sec. I liked it, but it was a little pricy for happy hour considering I had just had a great $7 margarita down the road just yesterday. Old fashioned - this was a good cocktail with simple ingredients but it was made well. Again, a little pricy for happy hour as I visit another restaurant in the Waterway which uses better quality whiskey and is priced a few dollars less. I was a little disappointed about the service since the bartender was working the bar area and also several tables in the general vicinity. I ended up finishing my first drink and then waited nearly 15 mins before they even asked me if I wanted another. I also had to battle with a crawling insect on the bartop. I initially brushed him away from my plates....but later found him crawling on my pant leg. Uggh...so annoying!

We had three pours to sample: Original, Black Barrel, and Triple Triple. Interesting that each of the three of us chose a different version as our favorite :) Served alongside the whiskey were a slider and what are arguably the very best steakhouse French fries I've ever had. I'm a fry snob and will only actually finish excellent fries. We polished these off along with an additional order! I found the slider to be satisfactory, but one at our table left hers half-eaten. We also ordered the steak bites and the Shitake dumplings. The dumplings were excellent! The bite was simultaneously savory with umami and freshly clean. The accompanying sauce was outstanding. The steak bites, however, were disappointing. The comment was made that you'd think a high end steak house could do better with a steak app. It was very under seasoned, so we "saved" it with the dumpling sauce. We were a tad disappointed that they ran out of the Jameson glasses that were supposed to come with the experience. Perhaps it was due to the fact that the rep waited til the very end (as we were about yo get the check) to approach our table with her spiel.

I liked mine and he finished all of his. For him, finishing food means it was on point. He is so picky. The restaurant itself is a mix of elegant and casual for brunch. It's also nestled in Hughes Landing meaning there is plenty to do on foot before and after. (For me, that means a visit to Fleet Feet.) Anyway, the brunch was solid.
