My friends and I like to try new places and meet up here. Half way of Redwood City and Santa clara since we all live kinda far. I had yelped it here and decided to try it. My sandwich was good My friends plate was a bit acidic the Chai latte was great and the carajillo coffee was surprisingly good. It had cinnamon whiskey and I wanted to try it. The mimosas were good too I had a guava mimosa. The waiters and staff were so attentive. One of my water glasses was dirty so they took it back. I will be going back to try different items from the menu my children want to try the French toast so we shall go and see how that goes. Other than that it is good. Went recently for lunch on a weekday. Not too busy but service was a bit slow. Hubby really enjoyed the breakfast burger. I had a BLT, which isn't on the menu, but the kitchen was gracious enough to make it. Fries are good too. Outside seating has road noice, but indoor is better. We came here for breakfast on a Sunday. We had ordered the portobello Benedict, chilequiles, and a side order of French toast because the description with the housemade butter sounded so good. I also got a Chai coffee that was very good, nice and strong. The Benedict was delicious. Chilaquiles were all-right, my husband said the Benedict was way better. The French toast was simple and straightforward with a side of syrup, no butter with no chance to ask for it. Which leads me to the service. The service here was sloooooow. This is not a reflection of our server. Our waiter was very nice but it looked like they were doing the job of 3 people being a server, prepping To go orders and hosting. We waited 15min to order, 20min to get drinks (2 coffees, 2 waters), 20min to get food. Only one check in about 10min after we got our drinks and that was it. We were outside where it was warm so we went through our water pretty quick. Server spent entire time inside so there was no way for us to flag them down when we needed. We've been planning on trying this place for a while! I'm pretty sure they expanded the menu a bit since first opening, so glad we came more recently. We came for weekend brunch around 11AM and waited about 20 minutes for an indoor table (plenty of outdoor seating, but it was a very chilly day!) They have both tables and booths indoors. I don't know why more brunch places don't serve espresso drinks and am always delighted to see them as an option. They had both cappacinos and lattes, and my cappucino was pretty good- with a nice rich espresso flavor. I like that their menu has a little of everything- some omelettes, benedicts, pancakes, waffles, burritos, chilaquiles, salad, sandwiches etc - but wasn't too overwhelming either My Veggie Burrito was very flavorful. Sometimes vegetarian entrees are bland, but this burrito was great- I loved the fried hash inside. The tortilla did get quite soggy and didn't hold well though, so I ended up eating most of it with a fork. My husband's Chilaquiles were soggy though, so he didn't end up eating much of it, but the side of beans it came with was good. The kids enjoyed their Chicken Tenders though, and you can definitely taste the freshness. The batter was unique as well, I'm not sure what was in it exactly, but I could see little parsley flakes. Parking: I walked to this location from down the street but from what I saw they have their own parking lot with a decent number of parking spaces. Environment: Casual environment, especially nice for brunch. They have indoor and outdoor seating (dog friendly). Staff are friendly but not quite as attentive when seated outdoors and there aren't too many other people but I was ok with that since I just wanted to read my book while eating. The server also got my drink order wrong even though I repeated it twice and she repeated it back to me. Food: I ordered the chilaquiles birria with egg. It tasted good but the tortillas soaked up all the juice right away so it became really soggy pretty quickly. Price: While there was a good portion of meat, I feel like it was a bit overpriced at $26 for the food especially for brunch. I would've expected something closer to $17-20 and wouldn't have minded just having slightly less in portion. Would I go back? Brunch/lunch with diner vibes, had the canadian bacon egg benedict and a hazelnut latte (just syrups for the lattes - they have caramel, pumpkin spice and vanilla as well). Benedict was solid (wouldn't say it was standout though), and potatoes were balanced, well seasoned and not too overpowering in any direction. The coffee wasn't bad but not as notable as a signature third wave coffee spot, but does the job for a dose of caffeine with breakfast. Service was top notch, the waiters/waitresses checked on me consistently every 10-15 mins to see if I needed anything, so I'm super appreciative of that. I will begin with the positives: the outdoor seating is nice and dog-friendly. The food might be less expensive than other breakfast places. A group of 7 friends met here for breakfast. The menu is what you might expect for breakfast. My food was only lukewarm when it came out. My pancake was rubbery. The friend next to me ordered chicken and waffle and the chicken looked and tasted like a deep-fried-from-frozen patty. We joked about how rock-hard it was. All except one of us ordered water and I had to constantly ask for refills of mine as it was in a smaller glass than the rest - no water refills were offered to the rest of the table (and everyone noticed). I walked inside to request iced water. Our server automatically charged a gratuity (probably b/c of the number in our party) but he did not tell us so some people tipped extra without knowing. It's pretty popular so the limited parking can be a challenge especially on work days. On Sunday we parked across the street in the vacant office building lot. The place was about 80% occupied and we had to wait a bit to get a table, service staff was limited for the amount of customers. We had lengthy wait times for ordering, getting our food and etc. The menu is somewhat limited compared with other venues, mainly featuring eggs and potato, but that's what it's called. The wife had the Ham and Egg burrito and I had the scrambled eggs and linguica with hash browns. The burrito was hefty and good but could use more ham and less potato. My order was pretty standard with a split and butterflied grilled sausage, the hash browns were good but nothing outstanding. The linguica was dry and the casing was tough but that is typical for Mainland Portuguese Sausage. I long for the Hawaiian version of linguica with it's juicy cubes of pork fat. This is a great place for breakfast entree's, especially if you like eggs, like Benedicts. Parking is limited and when we were there, so was the wait staff for longer wait times. The food was good but it seems like they could do something special with the potatoes to make it more memorable, that's in the name. This place prefers payment with plastic, but I always pay exact change cash. So if you would like to do the same, stock your wallet with the appropriate denominations for a quick exit. We went to this spot in the afternoon for brunch on a saturday and it did not seemed that packed. The ambiance was modern contemporary and refreshing to look at. However, the service was a problem the whole time we were there. We sat there for 15 minutes before the server showed up to get the order. 3 servers were all were just standing there in the corner and chatting. I made eye contact with them to call them and that is when they showed up. We ordered coffee, egg benedict with portobello mushrooms & veggie omelette with Canadian bacon. Coffee was cold the first time, so I had to tell the server to get a hot refill which he did, but again the service was really really slow. They forgot to bring the toast with omelette so we had to remind them to bring the toast. The hash browns served on the side was cold as well. The only saving grace was the taste. I drove by weeks ago and noticed this place was opening soon so I bookmarked it. My sisters were in town and we were in the area and decided to check it out. We had to drive around the parking lot about 3 times and noticed there was very limited parking (approximately 6 spots -give or take). We found parking on the street. The server gave us an option of tables and we decided to get the one that wasn't surrounded by people (I'm still aware of my surroundings regardless of vaccination status to remain healthy and safe). We scanned the barcode and quickly found what we wanted to order. The server brought out utensils wrapped in one napkin. I ordered a ham omelette and banana pancakes with a coffee. Our food came out quickly. My omelette was delicious! Ooey goey cheese center inside my fluffy egg with chunks of ham YUM! My hash brown was crispy on top and had a good consistency overall. This hash brown has to be one of the best ones I've tasted in a long time. The pancakes were fluffy and so good! They had chunks of bananas cooked in the center. They are sweet enough that you don't need syrup. I definitely recommend an order of these banana pancakes! My coffee was strong and came with a little mason jar of creamer. The sugar was on the table and so were all the other condiments to help yourself. My entire meal was delicious. I enjoyed all of it! Our server was friendly and energetic. I do wish he would of checked in more so I could get my refill of coffee and water sooner. The menu offers a variety of food and drinks. The contactless menu and payment made it a breeze. This restaurant has a few free spots in an adjacent lot and tons of nearby free street parking. It is very trendy and was very busy when I was there. They carry brunch items. We put our name on the waitlist via Yelp and was seated as soon as we got there. There is not much seating at the restaurant between its indoor dining area and patio area. We ate on the patio and thank goodness for the umbrella shade. There were some very intriguing items on the menu, but I decided to get the apple and coconut pancakes with a side of bacon and potatoes. The bacon and potatoes were pretty good. The pancakes were ok. This place is more like a 3.5, but not quite a 4, so I went with a three. Here is what went wrong during my visit. First, our server forgot about us after we were seated and took a while to take our order. He did ultimately admit what happened, which I commend, but it still sucked. The servers and staff were very friendly, but not attentive. We did not get drink refills until we were leaving and I had to request condiments such as syrup, which should be standard with pancakes. If the service was better, it would have probably been a 4 star rating. This is an ok spot for brunch in my opinion. Free parking is available, but my have to take some patience to get, especially if they are busy. The food is good. I probably would not go with the pancakes though and if anything they have friendly staff. They have a very limited parking space including street parking but the lady who gave our 20 minute estimate wait time informed us that we can actually park across the road with the office spaces since is was a Sunday. Place was buzzing with a constant slew of customers waiting and ordering to-go. I noticed that the tables weren't bussed just as fast for the next patrons to sit. Drinks came fast after our orders. The brewed coffee, fresh OJ and fresh lemonade quenched our breakfast thirst. We ordered items we haven't had before. The wife got the Apple Coconut Pancakes which deserved a 4/5 stars. Fluffy and delicious were the pancakes, the apple and coconut accompaniments failed though. I tried the $12 Green Salsa Chilaquiles which was sumptuous but was rather pricey with the add-on of $3 Eggs and $4 Linguiça. It's a short menu with all the diner favorites done with some imagination and flair. Served up hot and fast the omelets appeared on the smaller size but we were not disappointed. This is a place I somehow came across because I was getting some emails from them, first about them being open New Years eve and New Years Day and the second about Super Bowl weekend. When I entered the establishment, I was met with some confusion as I didn't know whether to go to the register and order there before being seated or wait on a host to seat me. I walked up to the register because there was no one to greet me at the front and one of the servers told me that he will be right there to serve me, so I took a seat and grabbed one of the menus sitting in a basket in the front. I ordered the pecan waffles and also because the place was called Papa's and Eggs, I also ordered a side of eggs and hash browns and also got a mango mimosa. The food was good, though not spectacular. Nothing really blew my socks off, but was solid and filling. Although, I am taking stars off for the service. The service, though not particularly slow nor very fast, was a bit meh. Simple tasty large steak, medium rare, basic scrambled eggs and their yummy potatoes, nothing spicy, just a small amount of salt, pepper, garlic powder was all I noticed. Came by on a Sunday morning for brunch, and thankfully I arrived early. The parking situation here is not great. There are only a handful of spots (it is a shared lot with the residential area, and you WILL get towed -- I saw two cars _almost_ get towed but their owners got back as they were being towed and managed to get their vehicle back, and a third car that did get towed). If you don't arrive early enough before the crowd (or be lucky enough to pull in as someone is leaving), you'll have to park on the street and walk over. Don't risk parking in any spot that is not marked retail in the slot. Anyhoo, it wasn't super busy at 9am, but started to fill up about an hour or so afterwards. Scan the QR code on the table to check out the menu, which is a decently sized menu for brunch (e.g. benedicts, omelettes, toast, burritos, etc), but not a crazy long menu. I asked for a water refill and never got it, so ended up leaving without it. The outdoor seating is nice, but the umbrellas don't do a great job of keeping every seat in the shade (some are better than others). For the food -- the denver omelette was good, and came with a side of fruit or toast (options for white, wheat, sourdough). I opted for sourdough, but the toast both looked and tasted like white bread... Also the omelette came with some potatoes, which were well seasoned, but definitely could have been roasted a bit more to give it that nice crunchy exterior. All in all, the food was decent, but portion size was a tad small for the price (comparing to other places with either similar portion size or similar pricing). The parking situation though, would definitely keep me from coming back. It's way too much of a hassle to find parking (there are other brunch spots with way easier parking) for the average brunch food. If I did come by, I'd swing by as early as possible (they open at 8am) to make sure parking wasn't an issue. Add on the side of fruit and it almost balances out the carb inhalation that was bound to occur. 2. Chorizo Omelette - a better bang for your buck but ups the carb ante with crispy hashbrowns. And if you hadn't noticed, I'm a sucker for chorizo. A bit on the drier end of omelettes but good! 3. Banana pancakes - decent indeed. Can't go wrong 4. Brioche French toast - my favorite. Parking is a bit sparse but doable. We ordered the Banana Pancakes to start. There were a ton of Fresh bananas in the pancake which were also perfectly fluffy. The thing that took it up a notch to great was the vanilla butter that came with the pancakes. If I was Homer Simpson I'd be drooling right now My hubby had the Portobello Eggs Benedict. As said many times before the parking here is really bad. We were told wait would be an hour with a bad attitude and it was about 15 min there were tons or tables but wasn't seated right away even then. Service was 0 stars the waiter was named Juan and he NEVER checked in on us nor refilled our waters. Really horrible The menu is very limited and nothing special. The food isn't bad kinda pricey for not having great service or bigger portions. Don't recommend wasting your time here. read more

Wait for Sunday brunch wasn't bad, and the service was pretty fast! Decent coffee and AMAZING guayaba mimosas. I drank it down so fast, it was the first time I could ever imagine going bottomless! Food was super tasty too. I've never had chilaquiles with such small crispy chips before, but I was into it. And our waitress was super friendly and attentive. 3.5 stars To Be fair, breakfast/brunch has to really excite me. This place is solid food, though pricey for what you get. Service was pleasant enough, though the host didn't know what to do when I said I was on the yelp waitlist. A manager or owner? had to come and help us get seated even though there was no one else waiting. They don't have Chocolate chips, for you chocolate lovers. I wanted to add them to my waffle and/or pancakes. There weren't added banana topped on the banana pancakes nor pecans topped on the waffle. All were in the batter itself. The fried breakfast burrito is essentially an open flap chimichanga and was good, but nothing to write home about. Maybe next time I'll order something with potatoes and huevos! read more

Food was bad and overpriced, ambiance was oppressive, service was sub-par. My girlfriend and I both got the chilaquiles, which we figured would be a specialty of this place considering many of the staff were wearing "I (HEART) CHILAQUILES" shirts. The meals we got were exceptionally bland, utterly tasteless--and absolutely no spice at all, even though I had ordered the spiciest one! The coffee I ordered was *chunky* (note: coffee is not supposed to be chunky), the waiter just said it was probably the creamer and shrugged it off. The menus we received were also different, one was clearly out of date and lacking many menu items. They otherwise looked the same however, so the management is clearly not paying attention to even basic details like letting customers know what food they offer... A couple fun notes to end this review: we were seated next to a giant sign telling everyone that the maximum time we were allowed to remain on the premises was 1.5 hours. There was only one other group at one other table eating at the same time as us, so despite the place being basically empty it really felt like they were in a rush to get everyone out (and this was *hours* before closing). We certainly didn't feel compelled to stay any longer than necessary at this establishment regardless, so I'm not sure what the point of that sign was other than to establish an oppressive atmosphere. A final highlight and humorous item we noted on the menu was their so-called "bottomless mimosas", which apparently are limited to 1 per hour, and considering the aforementioned 1.5 hour time limit for being allowed on the premises, means a maximum of TWO for their so-called "bottomless" drink. You can't make this stuff up...needless to say, we won't be going back. read more
