Every bite is loaded with savory goodness, and dipping them into that deep, flavorful broth just takes it to another level. Easily some of the best birria tacos around. And you cannot leave without trying the churros. Fresh, warm, and coated in just the right amount of cinnamon sugar, they're the perfect sweet ending to an already amazing meal. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside--exactly how churros should be. Overall, Papi Tacos & Churros delivers on flavor, quality, and experience. The O.G. Burrito here is hands-down the OG and so good! It's packed with birria, cheese, rice, beans, and salsa. The burrito comes with their consome, which complements the burrito so well. I also ordered their quesataco with birria and asada, regular asada taco, and their homemade churros. Out of the tacos, I liked the asada quesataco the best. For the churros, one order comes with two. I got an order of churros with lechera and another with Nutella. The churros were okay - maybe I expected more because the churros are made in-house. They do satiate the sweet tooth cravings, but I wouldn't go out my way for these. Their horchata, on the other hand, is really good (on the pricer end)! They have a few tables and benches inside and a decorative, fun, and vibrant outdoor seating. They're located on the corner of Rosecrans and Pioneer in the Norwalk Town Square plaza so you won't miss it!

Absolutely delicious. We had 2 "OG" platters, one with Asada, and the other with chicken along with horchata, because how can you have tacos without that?... Both were flavorful, and we could taste the flame kissed flavor throughout. We also ordered a birria taco on the side and it was also delicious. Definitely worth the try, on our way from the movies. We'd passed it on the way to the theatre, and looked it up here on Yelp and came after. Definitely will return

Pap Tacos is a chain, somewhat small. All of their food is great and they have a few things you will not find elsewhere. We love this one. Parking is easy and free and the place is always clean and very comfortable. We love eating there. We have not done take away yet, but we will one day. The prices are very fair. You get a lot of food and all of it is freshly made. They have churros that are also made there with great toppings. You get in line and order your food. The wait is not long, but it does take a few minutes. We like this location, it is not as packed as some of the others. The service is just great. They know the menu and get your order right the first time. What we love is their beans, they are the best. Their rice is great and all of their burritos and tacos are stand out. They even have a burrito with French fries in it, now I think it is just too much, but our grandson loves it and now refuses to try anything different. We also love their nachos. They have great bottled sodas, many from Mexico. Try one.

Honestly, not too sure how I felt about this place. The O.G. Burrito was good and I finished it but like it wasn't amazing or like as good as it was hyped but that's my personal opinion. I like to be able to hold my burritos and eat them, but because it's so wet from all the grease and juices from the fillings it fell apart constantly. The Churro was probably the highlight, it was surprisingly really good. I would love to try the O.G. plate if I ever decide to come back, I feel that would be better for me. Service was ehh, I feel like I misinterpreted the service because of the tone of voice and the behavior with other customers after me but it wasn't terrible. I just feel like it was different behavior for me. Inside of the place is nice and pretty clean, seating indoors and outdoors, plenty of parking because it's in the corner of a plaza.

Papi tacos never let me down. Whether you're grabbing a quick snack (taco), dinner (burritos, og plate, quesadillas, mulitas, or a sweet treat churro! Everything is always amazing and the customer service is top tier.

This is my current favorite taco shop and I am loving it sooooo much! We plan on going back again this weekend :) They have a simple menu made right! Just pick you want and choose you meat: Carne Asada, Pollo Asada & Beef Birria. We shared 2 Street Tacos and an OG Plate (street taco, quesataco, mulita, & quesadilla w/ a cup of consome). Everything was 5-Stars for sure, but my favorite was the Birria Mulita! I recommend getting the OG Plate for first timers because its a sample of almost everything on the menu! My only regret is not getting a churro... Something I will correct this weekend ;) The staff is friendly and keep the place very clean. There is a nice covered patio with plenty of seating. They are on the edge of a shopping center so there is plenty of close free parking.

My friend and I had lunch here today. We have driven by it a bunch and decided to try it! I highly recommend getting the OG plate. It definitely feeds two people! So share with a friend. Their carne asada is incredible! So tasty. The staff is really nice and friendly. There's a bit of inside seating. More outside, there's a patio with some shade. Can be a little loud out there, with the music and car zooming by. But it's pleasant.

For so long Teddy Red tacos was the spot for birria for me but today I came to Papi Tacos & Churros and let me just say "Wow" every bite I took had me dancing and cursing of how good it was. When I say I want birria this is what I mean.. I never leave reviews but for Papi Tacos & Churros I just had to! Service was A1! I will no longer go any where for birria.. Papi Tacos & Churros hold the crown for me! Ambiance was very well relaxed except for my noise making of how good my tacos were.. lol Shout out to the owner! Best birria spot in town!

Amazing, bold flavors!! Was on the salty side though. OG Plate ($17.99) Comes with taco, quesataco, mulita (like a taco sandwich), quesadilla, and consume (beef soup). Avocado is an additional $2.50. I got mine with carne asEverything was so good. Just wish they were less salty. Horchata ($6.62 with tax) This was really good!! Would come back for this. I was able to get it with less ice. Was too sweet. I didn't see this in the menu, but they had it to the side of the cash register. Super friendly staff and lots of seats available outside and some inside as well. Very spacious. There was loud music inside, would be hard to have a conversation. Might consider coming back to try other items.

Really good food, staff was friendly, OG set was more than filling, good amount of meat on each item. Food is a little bit on the pricier side running about $25 per person with tax, tip and drink Indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of parking. Highly recommended if you are in the mood for some birria.

Check this out because they had birria tacos. Small, very friendly place. I ordered a totally of 8 tacos to go. They cashier was very friendly and helpful, for I had a special request separating the meat from the tortillas (because they were for my daughter who was not going to eat at them right away). I didn't want them to get soggy. I payed $35 for 8 tacos (very small), and small consomé, and horchata. They were ok, nothing special. In fact, might be on the pricier side for the amount of meat. They also gave churros, which I did not get. read more

Finally tried this spot last night, I gotta say food was delicious. Got the OG Plate...I wish I could have mixed and matched my items on it, but was told you could only get everything with one type of meat, so I went with chicken. Consomé was FIRE! The outdoor area has a cool little vibe, first time eating under the Norwalk sign in my life and I've lived here for 40+ years. I would have giving this place 5 stars but I'm deducting 1 due to the customer service. The girl that took our order was far from friendly, no hello and seemed annoyed to be working. If I could give half stars I would give this place a 4.5, so instead, i rounded up. My reasoning, because after a while, most things on the OG plate start to taste the same. Also, not a big deal, but wish I could mix the chicken and beef options on the plate. Overall the OG Plate was still yummy! Saw someone comment that the Birria was bland, but that wasn't the case for me. Consome was also great. Portion size for the consome was also pretty large. New spot on the corner came to try it out, cashier was helpful in describing different options on the menu we ordered queso Birria tacos and chicken tacos. Really good flavor alone, and the red sauce that comes with it can be either you like it or you don't, I personally thought it was great more towards the smokier side of red sauces but add a squeeze of lime and was delicious. Churros I didn't mind, my fiancé didn't like them, they were on the thicker doughier side. Not as soft or light that she's used to. Add some toppings and could be better. Nustled beneath the iconic Norwalk Square tower, lies Papi Tacos & Churros an establishment which has been in Norwalk for only a year. The food is outrageously tasty! The customer service is superb, and the aesthetic is well branded and clean. I tried one single Birria taco and an order of Nutella churros! So tasty and not very expensive. I have been a fan of papi since their first location on Washington. I got the OG plate with chicken. I washed it down with a glass bottle of coke. The food was so good, I forgot to take a picture. As always, the customer service was A1. They have a nice outdoor patio that is shaded. I will definitely be returning to this location soon. read more

I was reluctant to try because, let's be honest- a lot of restaurants in Norwalk sadly, just aren't that good. However, in my constant pursuit to find a "good local taco place", I decided to try. Alright, I really went for the churros but I'm glad I tried an OG burrito with chicken, the 15.99 combo, churros with dulce de leche drizzle so I basically tried the whole menu! Everything was delicious! The quesataco, mulita and quesadilla have all of the same contents. Remember that when ordering. The smoked chicken tasted very unique and unlike any other chicken I've tasted at a Mexican restaurant. The beef is tender and flavorful, the consommé is flavorful and if you love messy, saucy food, get it! The salsa is spicy but flavorful and the churros, yummy! The Sandia agua Fresca wasn't the best, but it was refreshing since it was a hot day. The place was busy and crowded but the service was friendly! I've found my spot in Norwalk! read more

Came here to break my fast during Ramadan since they serve halal meat. Decided to get the OG Burrito with birria, didn't realize it came with consomé but I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't believe it when the cashier told me, but the burrito was practically the size of a newborn. It was absolutely stuffed with birria beef, along with some refried beans, cheese, onions, and cilantro (I asked for all the toppings it comes with). Extremely worth it for $12, especially with the consomé on the side (that didn't have meat included but that really doesn't matter to me). The only issue with it is the tortilla (which I think may have a cheese crust but not too sure) gets soggy quickly due to the birria, but that is probably also due to me taking the food back home instead of eating in the restaurant. The restaurant itself was a casual takeout vibe with some benches both inside and outside. It was a heavy meal but I'll definitely be back, 8.4/10. read more

Place has been opened for about three days. No reason for the floors to be so disgusting. They should have been deep cleaned before grand opening and maintained.If that's what they look like where customers can see I can only imagine what the back kitchen looks like (where food is prepared) We waited so long for this place to open and wanted to try it. Went in for some churros, waited in line for 15 minutes only to be told that they were sold out. Pretty disappointed. I told the girl they should have a sign up to let people know. I got an eye roll. Overall the tacos were very tasty - the birria was tender. The consome was a little bland for our liking but the red salsa they gave added the taste I was looking for. The customer service was great and the food came out quick. The colors of the place are vibrant and simple. I like that the menu is straightforward and only has a few items. There were some benches and tables for seating - mostly available at the time as well as as some high top stools. The place was not too busy - there was only 2-3 other parties there at the time. The food was tasty, but I didn't like how easily my tacos fell apart. Felt like I couldn't truly enjoy them. Service was friendly, but there were a couple times I wanted to go back up to the counter and ask for one thing or another and nobody was at the counter; they were in the back. The tacos are too small. A tiny slice of avocado. The meats are pretty good. I think I prefer the chicken over the Birria. The chicken is much more juicy and tender. Service was decent. They really need to keep track of the trash can outside and cleaning tables when customers leave. Honestly, it sucks not having a good taco spot where the price matches the quality in this city. Paid like over $8 for my food. Good parking lot. Hopefully, they come up with more combo plates with a drink. read more

Small little shop on the corner. Lots of natural lighting & artwork on the walls. I ordered the quesabirria tacos, their steak tacos, consume, & churros. Their food is really delicious, but had a bone & a few fatty parts that weren't really edible. Paid $34 for this food, so a bit pricy, but still enjoyable. read more

Walked in and not greeted at all, attitude as soon as we started ordering and I was only asking if the plates come with vegetables I don't know how that's an annoying question, but anyways also smiled at one of the workers and just got a smug face back Came to try the Birria Ramen and unfortunately they were sold out at 8pm, don't know why but there's a reason why there's so many mixed reviews about this place. Hoping the food is better, because the customer service definitely needs a boost. Food came pretty quick so I definitely like that, the guy who handed us the food definitely had a better attitude than the girl worker, let's see what this OG plate is about: The portion of the meat is good,savory, and tender I also liked that there wasn't too much fat in the meat The tortillas fall apart a bit quickly but the taste is very good and the consome was delicious. We took it to go but they have a good amount of chairs and the vibe is great, right in the heart of Norwalk, will try again in the future. read more

Coming all the way from Jurupa Valley because I was recommended by a friend to try this place. I came in after work so around 4:45 ish and I am so stoked for the burritos upon entering! They look and smelled good. I ordered a O.G. plate (for my partner) and O.G. Burrito (for myself). Service was very helpful when I was ordering didn't miss any extras on my entrees. Amazing food! I order the Birria queso taco ( get it extra crispy) with a side of consommé. The red salsa perfectly enhances the flavor and is spicy. Recently moved to Norwalk and immediately searched for a go-to taco spot. This place is definitely on the list since they have tacos AND churros. That's so good. I've been here a few times already and have ordered their tacos and churros. I'd like to try out their ramen the next time I'm here! Also, I got the horchata and I love that it isn't too cinnamon-y and it comes a large cup. Totally get something with birria because it makes everything so yummy! The restaurant is situated in a plaza with plenty of parking. They have a lot of outdoor seating and a few tables indoors. I really love the feel of this place, lots of outdoor seating and some indoor seating too. We ordered asada tacos, and birria queso tacos. Both tacos had a generous amount of meat which I appreciated! The asada was a little on the Smokey side, not my favorite but it was still good. It's my dad's and I's first time coming here and omg! The quesatacos are by far the best thing ever! Everything is so delicious my daughter got the quesadillas and she is loving it. The aguas frescas are perfect! This is chef's kiss food. Definitely come by and try the delicious food. I am for sure bringing my hubby next time with me. My wife and I came from San Francisco looking for a good taco spot in the area. This one popped up with good review so we had to try it ! My first time eating here and now I am hooked. They let me sample the chicken and beef birria and they both melt in your mouth. It is so tasty and tender. I ended up ordering the birria taco and chicken quesadilla and only spent $10 definitely worth it and my new spot. The workers are polite, great customer service and they keep the place clean. For someone who is picky about birria, I like the birria here. The birria is very juicy. It doesn't feel greasy like at other places. They have indoor and outdoor dining. The menu is very limited but I personally think it makes it easier to choose from. They also have churros and you can add condensed milk (lechera), dulce de leche, chocolate, or Nutella. read more

0/10 will not come here for the food. Takes to long 40 min for a taco. Costumer Service was amazing 10/10 Rosy was the one to help us. She explained everything and told us how tiny the tacos were. She made us laugh and was having a good time. I WILL ONLY COME BACK IF SHES WORKING. I will promote her 100% because she knows how to talk to her costumers. read more

We came here hungry and salivating for some yummy churros and we weren't disappointed. The churros were the perfect combination of crispy outside and soft inside with sugar and cinnamon to top.
