We came on a Taco Tuesday for the first time around 5:00pm for our first time. Luckily there were 2 other couples inside the restaurant already eating. However, we noticed only 1 guy on the register and 1 cook. The service was a little slow for it being so slow. However, as soon as we ordered, there was a HUGE family of 10 that came in. Once they came in, the 1 server/register guy was very preoccupied with them. We had to attempt to get his attention for refills and remind him about the salsa & extra onion/cilantro request. Besides that, the inside is very vibey; lots of neon and cute decor. The tacos were delicious! The hard shell ones were the only ones that were $2 on Tuesdays. However, you can taste the house-made tortillas and the meats were fresh! All the food was fresh and made immediately, which was great. GREAT FOOD, POOR SERVICE. I waited half an hour to get my food (during the lunch rush). Also waited 10 minutes before server took my drink order. Dish: Chilaquiles Divorciados I stopped by Norwalk Taco Factory to try their Chilaquiles Divorciados, and let me tell you--it didn't disappoint. First off, I ordered my eggs over easy, and they nailed it. The yolk broke perfectly, adding that extra richness to both the red and green salsas. Speaking of the salsas, the split was on point. The red side brought some heat but wasn't overwhelming, while the green was more zesty and tangy, which balanced everything out nicely. It was like two different dishes in one, but they complemented each other in a weirdly perfect way. The chips started out crispy, though they got a bit soggy as I worked through the plate--totally expected with chilaquiles, though. A nice touch was the beans, served in this cool little one-serving bowl. It kept them separate from the rest of the dish, and they stayed cool and creamy, which I actually really liked. REALLY DELICIOUS! My biggest compliment was that the meats were INSANELY delicious. Potentially some of the best carne asada I've ever had. I was originally craving some "trash" Mexican food such as Albert's or Alberto's (and I say "trash" in the most loving way possible because I love and adore places like those). Decided to take a chance on Norwalk Taco Factory cuz the reviews were so good. THIS WAS NOT TRASH MEXICAN FOOD. This was like a more elevated experience of Alberts/Albertos and it was oh so good. I ended up trying the Carne Asada Fries (Loaded Fries with Carne Asada), Chicken Nachos (Super Nachos with Chicken), Quesadilla with Al Pastor, and the 3 Tacos Plate. And OMG! Everything was SOOO GOOD. The meats were genuinely the standout. This meant that every dish was truly delicious in their own way. The carne asada fries were insanely yummy, the quesadilla had no right to be that addictive (it's just meat and cheese! why was it so good), the nachos were delicious, and the tacos were crazy good. The food at Norwalk Taco Factory was so good. We tried the breakfast burrito and the machaca plate, and both were delicious and super filling. The flour tortillas are made from scratch and are incredibly good. The red salsa is seriously addictive -- we couldn't stop putting it on everything. Came on a Thursday afternoon and received great service & food! Ordered the 4 enchiladas plate with chicken, half green half red and was the best decision! The red sauce is tasty with a hint of spice! The green is well seasoned & just the right amount of acidity from the tomatillo! The sides were definitely good! All their salsas are DELICIOUS! My favorite was the Chipotle creamy salsa! The service here was excellent, our server was friendly and attentive! The ambience is wonderful, plenty of tables and well kept in cleanliness. Oh! I don't like soggy chilaquiles and have been trying to find a spot that does not drown the chips in sauce and glad that I found this spot! The chips were a good texture of not overly soggy and had a good crunch but I'm sure you can ask for extra sauce if needed. The steak was soft and had a good taste. Salsa was also good. The only note I have is that for one order I asked for double protein (steak and chicken) but I wasn't clear on it being extra protein (not half and half) but that was on me. New update. My wife dragged me over for brunch. The table smelled like they wiped it with a dirty sock or smelly rag. The menus were dirty, and it was hot inside. The chilaquiles salsa was not spicy even though I asked to have them extra spicy, they said sauce is pre made. The red sauce tasted like mole. My eggs were overcooked. This is the problem with places that PAY influencers who sell out to make these places seem like they are the best since sliced bread. Let's be real here. Birria taco plate + $3 to make them queso birria and it you get it with no cheese, no consume, as soon as a guests touched there food, you should not place it or touch it near your food stations since it's been touched, strike one. Strike 2 tacos were not your typical run of the mill queso birria tacos, beef was tough, don't know who uses fried style shells, mediocre on the nice end. Nothing about this experience was worth what was paid, IE this "carne asada burrito" nonsense look at that meat to filler ratio, yup that amount was through out. Now if you're going to slang burritos a tacos for a premium! Start acting like it. My cup sat empty until I got up and was offered a "to-go" beverage. That's embarrassing. No it wasn't busy so that isn't excusable. Staff on phone in front of house. Just absolutely absurd. STOP USING "FOOD INFLUENCERS" to strip hard working families of great service and decent food. So I've been here twice. Service was okay both times, not extra, but not bad. Good music playing both times. Food was great the first time. A little pricey, but good food isn't cheap, and cheap food isn't good. First time I got Asada Nachos and a Jamaica it was $23. The second time again pricey but I mean $21 for a wet burrito and it was mostly rice and sour cream. If this was the first visit, I wouldn't have come back the second time. Definitely inconsistent. After speaking with some co workers the feedback I got was it's a hit or miss. So I have yet to find a great place in Norwalk to buy lunch. I don't mind paying, I just want delicious food. read more

We decided to go to this place since it was Tuesday. They had a sign advertising their specials for being Tuesday. After looking at their menu, there was no information about their tacos being on special. we asked the waitress, she told us the tacos that are on special are hardshell Birria tacos, potato hardshell tacos, and ground beef hardshell tacos. Each taco was two dollars. We decided to skip the special since we wanted handmade tortilla tacos as advertised in the menu " all of our tacos are made with handmade tortillas" My wife got two Birria tacos. I got two Birria tacos and one Carne Asada taco. My son got a Carne Asada burrito and my daughter got Carne Asada fries. We were disappointed that the Birria tacos were not made with handmade tortillas and we're actually fried tortillas. Also, the meat had a lot of fat. My son's Asada burrito barely had Carne Asada in the burrito and my daughter's Carne Asada fries, barely had a little bit of Carne asada sprinkled on top of her fries. They do not provide complementary water and they will gladly offer you a refill on your drink without notifying you that the refill will be an extra charge. I decided to go into this taco spot because I didn't feel like spending too much money on a quick bite. We ended up spending almost $90 which is ridiculous for a few tacos a burrito and Carne Asada fries. Please look at the pictures. We ended up asking them to give us a two dollar birria hard taco to see what the special was about. Of course, they put very little bit of meat in the taco. I almost forgot to mention that the CONSOME that they use on their BIRRIA tacos is very similar to the one they serve at Taco Bell. Learned my lesson I hope you don't learn yours. read more

What a great new spot. The food was delicious, cake, wet burritos and quesadilla. Just wish it came with more guacamole. Our service was fantastic.
