Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had at a pizza delivery spot!!! I ordered a couple pies and wings for a playoff football game ten minutes before a few friends came over to watch the game. The guy on the phone said the order would take 45 minutes which is pretty standard on an average busy night. One hour and fifteen minutes later my wife called to get the status on the order. The guy apologized for the delay and explained "we got slammed because of the game and its leaving now" Great sounds reasonable right? Wrong!!!! 45 minutes later my wife called back to cancel the order and the guy on the phone was absolutely out of line. He kept rudely interrupting saying "the food just left!! the food just left!!" she asked to refund the card and to please cancel the order the food is definitely not good at this point. (2 hours later) He said that he would have to call her back and in order to cancel the order and hung up on her. My wife called again and another gentleman answered explaining that they would cancel the order and was completely professional and apologetic for the whole situation. He offered for us not to be charged and to keep the food. Bottom line, I've been in the business before and if your getting slammed that's a good thing....so if that's the case and your short handed from someone calling out or forwhatever reason, tell your customers!!! leave it up to us to decide. If you told me the delivery would take two hours I would laugh and not order, but I would ask myself why are they so backed up? Their pizza must be the best!!! Maybe I'll order next weekend. You also don't hang up on your customers. Not only will I never order food from Pappas ever again, I will actually bring up my experience whenever food is being discussed in the city of Stamford. read more

I walk in and see a few people by the register. They take orders from two people before me. I'm now at the front of the line. No service. No service. No service. Time passes. Two guys are now standing next to me, one on either side. Finally, service. But somehow, the guy behind the register helps the guy to my left first, then skips over me and gets the guy to my right. WTF. Fortunately, I saw their pizza come out. It looks like frozen pizza put in their personal oven- not impressive. read more

I decided to try this place on a whim when out walking at lunchtime. Got a slice of sausage pizza and was impressed. Great crust, lots of cheese--simply yummy. One of the guys behind the counter was a little grumpy, not rude, just grumpy, but "Pappa's" daughter, who seemed to be running the place, was very friendly and personable. She gave me a sample of a "breakfast pizza" they are starting to serve. They are now open at 7 during the week and I guess they are trying to expand into a brunch place on weekends. The breakfast pizza was quite good! It had eggs, broccoli and other vegetables--like a quiche with pizza dough. As I mentioned before, their dough is really good. The breakfast pizzas come in a few other varieties. I wouldn't say the atmosphere is overly great at Pappa's, but for the pizza itself (and what else is the point?) I highly recommend it. read more

Great Greek pizza. I've been eating their pizza for over 40 years. Never disappoints. I always want more.

This is easily some of the BEST pizza I've ever had and I'm a hard core New Yorker...I think we either pick up or deliver at least 3 times a week (that's probably not healthy but it's sooo yummy!) The wings are amazing they're bigger then the average wing and the sauces are soo good... Love the cheesesteak sand which yum! My mouth is watering just thinking about it! The only thing I've had that I didn't love was the chicken sulvaki & that wasn't bad it was just a little bland and there's definitely better but other then that this is one of the best Places in Stamford! read more

Excellent if you like old school fold it in half pizza. How old school ? I had my slice with Anchovies . It was just as it should be. Hard to get this old school pizza in a world of "gourmet" pizza. If you have fond childhood memories of pizza you will love this place. read more

Pappa's has great pizza! A little greasy, but it's pizza so grease is grease. The crust is delicious though - crunchy and thin. Sometimes it seems a bit on the pricey side, but they have daily specials which help. I'll definitely be ordering from here again. read more

I have been coming here since I was a child. In fact, my parents had their first date here in the 1960s - no joke. It will always and forever be the best pizza I've ever had. I hate that I live so far away now, but coming home to visit my family up north is always made even more special because I get to eat again at Pappa's. I stop going becuase the pizza taste nothing like it used to. I used to work across the street and visit daily. I used to love their chicken parm, but my last visit was dramatically a waste of money. Plus, I always seem to get a stomach ache after eating there. I dont think its their food, but just a change in my acceptable eating. read more

I absolutely love their pizza!! I'm actually eating some right now but unfortunately today I'm a bit upset with my food! I also ordered mozzarella sticks and hot wings and the mozzarella stick are so burnt and disgusting I can't even eat them. I ask for them to make the wings well done and they are still soggy and have a lot feathers on them as if they literally went out back and caught the chicken. Besides the fabulous pizza the remainder of the food was awful! Makes me upset since I love eating here :( read more

So everyone I know raves about Pappas!! Back In the day I used to love it the pizza was GREAT! And it was always good hot and fresh! Definitely if you wanted a personal pizza!!! But now things have changed they skimp on the ingredients and it's just mediocre now. Once in a while it's good! So yesterday I wanted johns pizza a (steak and cheese) but ended up settling for pappas! I ordered the La wrap with garlic Parmesan fries.. and a can of Coke. The best thing was the coke! The fries were soggy and had to much seasoning!!! And the L.A. wrap!! Omg that wasn't good at all I forced myself to eat half because I hadn't ate all day! The flavors did not marry at all!! The ingredients sounded better on paper than it taste. It was chicken with roasted red peppers, cheddar cheese and honey mustard. Man this tasted disgusting all of it! Horrid. Would never come here again. I came 9/16/17. I wanted a slice of pizza, I asked how long the pizza been out, the short guy in the front said he didnt know, he wasnt the pizza guy. I asked the guy making the pizzas how long its been out, he said he didnt know maybe 3 hours. I opted for hot wings. I get home, the wings are super red in the middle, I ordered 12 and got 11. I had to put the wings in my oven to actually cook all the way through. By the time they were edible, needless to say, I lost my appetite. read more
