Great surprise...Very good food for the airport. Noah was a fantastic server. I thought 1030ish might be a bit early for a margarita, but in hindsight...I needed it (and maybe another) Upfront, the prices were ridiculous, very much the cost of eating at an airport, but the portions are very big - do what you will with that Liz and I split fajitas, which came with about half a pound of both grilled chicken and beef. The fajitas come with rice, and charro beans, and guacamole salad. The kids plates came out huge. Noemi just had a beef fajita plate. It came with a lot of rice and refried beans. Noah's beef nachos did too. It's good food, good service, but just be ready for the price tag.

Surprisingly good breakfast for being at the airport. I've always walked by and typically go to Pappadeaux, because Pappasitos always smells like cleaning chemicals. Not certain why that smell is there, but I decided to try breakfast. Huevos Rancheros were delicious! Service was spot on!

Passing through Dallas Fort Worth airport was excited to see Pappasitos near my arrival gate. Though I was not hungry I remembered the great food when I lived in Texas many years ago & just had to have some. We had the Plato Del Mar & Tortilla soup. We also had margaritas. Ambiance was typical airport scene. Overall the food was not as tasty as I remember & service was not that great. Disappointed.

Not one, but two Mirage Margaritas! The best bartender, Caesar, said it wouldn't be spicy if I didn't add the salty spicy rim. However, as I continued to enjoy my drink, it tasted spicer by the minute. I asked if there was any spice in the drink and he said the candied chile threads could be the culprit. He didn't think they were, but as they soaked up the margarita, it was possible. I got another one without salt or spice. One of the best margaritas that I've had in my lifetime.I doubt I could replicate the taste so it will live on as a memory. Our food was delicious! We were very happy that this restaurant resides in terminal A. Cute spot that has tables and a comfortable bar. Don't forget to tell Caesar I said hello!

Usually airport food is a sh*tty version of what you can get at the restaurant outside. This was legit Pappasito's. It's a sit down restaurant where you order from a menu, but they had me in and out in 30 minutes.

The food hear at the airport is similar to the actual restaurant with a downscaled menu. Was good and fresh. The small area made it difficult to enjoy the meal. But was good nonetheless

For an airport restaurant, this is a good place to spend time before going to your gate and grabbing a small bite or large meal. The service is quick and friendly. The portions are large and you can share them. The drinks were delicious and refreshing. I really like how they offer chips and salsa as a complimentary snack.

Had a little time between our connections and decided to stop in for a quick bite. Unfortunately my chicken fajitas had more skin than chicken. I saw they do portion size by weight so I must have missed out on a whole piece of chicken by all the skin they gave me. Very disappointing. There was also no cheese to put on the fajitas.

The outrageous prices - $30 for two "tacos". The serve was nice but there was no saving this shitty experience!

Absolutely disgusting--and at these prices, downright outrageous. Tried this place for the first time at the airport, and let's just say the guacamole was enough to set the tone: bland, possibly made with near-spoiled cheese (cotija or queso fresco?), and zero seasoning. The chips were greasy, tasted like old fryer oil, and lacked any salt. The tortilla soup? Sent it back--it was nothing more than warm, flavored water with zucchini tossed in. A first... and hopefully a last. Then came the "tacos de hombre"--highly recommended, but totally underwhelming. Just a few slices of beef wrapped in limp flour tortillas. The rice and beans on the side tasted like they were reheated in a microwave. Even the beer on tap was flat. This place is a glorified Taco Bell charging premium prices for low-effort food. A handful of sad ingredients reimagined as a menu. Total rip-off.

First of all--ask for Michael as your server. He is outstanding! He gave excellent recommendations and was very attentive to my gluten-free sensitivity, which I truly appreciated. I ordered the breakfast platter, which was delicious and hearty, and he added a side of avocado that completely made my day. My husband had the huevos rancheros and absolutely fell in love with it. The Cuban music playing in the background added the perfect vibe and really elevated the entire experience.

What I got when I asked for a box

Went to the Dallas Airport location and was amazing! I ordered the Plato Del Mar, queso and non-alcoholic Tropical Refresher. Everything was devine and plentiful! The atmosphere was great, my server was Von; but everyone was so nice! The Plato Del Mar is the choice when you can't decide if you steak, chicken or shrimp. The shrimp was wrapped in bacon and charred beautifully. Steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare and the chicken was juicy. So much flavor!! The guacamole was creamy while still having avocado chucks in it. I liked that the beans weren't the run of the mill refried beans. The queso was good but that fire roasted salsa was delicious! I really enjoyed the Tropical Refresher. The cute flower and dried fruit garnish really made a non-alcoholic beverage feel like a cocktail. I also think it's nice that for an airport restaurant everything was served on real plates and with real flatware. When I asked for a box I was pleasantly surprised with box, container for salsa, a bag of chips, plastic flatware, napkins & a bag to carry it all in. Thank you for making my layover to Virginia so enjoyable and relaxing!

Wait. This was a Tex-Mex restaurant at the DFW airport? It was outstanding! Great food, huge portions, great service and, did I mention, great food? We ordered fish tacos, a salad, tacos, and enchiladas and everything was piping hot and very tasty. Highly recommend.

    Glenn S.

Surprisingly good Tex-Mex at DFW Airport. Friendly and fast service. Food is fresh and tasty and a plus for having fresh sliced jalapeños, not pickled.

Returned on a Saturday late afternoon and were excited to visit again! Different players this time. Wasn't impressed. Sat at the bar and it just never got off the ground. Slow. Uncertain. Not professional. Seemed like the staff needed more training. The management never engaged to make sure things were right after several things going wrong. A LOT of standing around looking clueless. 7-8 people standing behind the bar at one end chatting away. That's not a typical Pappadeaux. I won't name anyone but it was a train wreck in every way. Pappas concept is usually a well oiled machine. But not today. Was honestly an awful experience. It comes down to management and training. They're lacking. One excuse after another. The wait times and lack of accountability was sad. End of the meal we waited almost a half an hour for two desserts (ordered at the beginning of the meal by their request) and the manager came over and said the kitchen was backed up. Restaurant wasn't that busy. Forgetfulness by the woman that handled our order is more likely the reason. Was BS. I generally don't complain - but this was not a good showing for Pappadeaux. Management never even offered to make things right or make up for their lousy service. I know restaurants - and I've even been a part of Pappas' restaurants in the past. This location has serious problems. Doubt we'll be going back to Grapevine Pappadeaux. Spent $250+ for lunch and felt very unhappy when we left with our 2 desserts in a to go bag. Oysters were small and $31.95 Caesar salads had no croutons. Waited 15 min to get them and was told "yeah there should've been croutons on the salad". Asked for potato puree instead of dirty rice and was charged $9 for a dollop, and was still served the dirty rice on the dish after I told her I wouldn't be eating the rice. Mid rare request on the salmon was past on the degree of doneness. Prosecco refills on the $56 bottle was slow and frustrating. Empty glasses and waiting. Just felt genuinely ignored. Consider the Dallas Tollway, Lombardy, Oak Lawn, FW, Arlington, Richardson or Bedford before this Grapevine store.

(English down below)…read more Saliendo del aeropuerto DFW, busqué algún restaurante que tuviera sopa de mariscos; no sé de dónde vino el antojo. Digo yo... no sé. Mejorar estos dos detalles llevaría la experiencia en El Viejón a otro nivel. ¡El Viejón, recomendadísimo! ------------------------------------- Leaving DFW airport, I found myself craving seafood soup--no idea where the craving came from. I searched for nearby options and El Viejón came up. I checked the online menu and reviews, then drove 13 minutes, only to discover a real gem. What I loved: The service was excellent. Nidia took care of us--she was not only kind, but also attentive and efficient. Adolfo, the manager, is a great guy. The simple but important things: Their plastic cups are surprisingly original. The menu is simple and humorous. Prices are fair for the generous portions they serve. What truly impressed me: The seafood soup. This kind of soup is simple: either you know how to make it, or you don't--and when you don't, it ends up like the one at Pappadeaux... something to cry about. This one, however, is loaded with seafood (crab, clams, octopus, fish, shrimp, squid, etc.). It has a subtle sweetness, and you can taste every distinct note. Highly recommended. One soup is more than enough for one person. I learned that lesson too late--after also ordering the grilled octopus. I had to get it to go because it was simply too much food. My only two complaints: The tostadas they serve come with chicken that looks like tuna but tastes like plastic. My dog was with me and wouldn't even eat it--which says a lot. Very strange. The other issue is the music: too loud and all from the same genre. If the goal is to honor Mexican culture, there are so many genres to choose from. Just saying--I don't know. Fixing these two things would take the experience at El Viejón to another level. El Viejón--highly recommended.

Forgot to take pictures...went for a large family dinner. Loved the Thai chili Brussels sprouts,…read morequail knots and calamari. Enjoyed the lamb and more Brussel sprouts. Kind and classy servers. Fancy, upscale, and great place for steaks and fish dishes.

I came here for early dinner and ended up trying quite a bit from the menu. The restaurant itself…read moreis really nice. It's quiet, cozy, and has a great atmosphere for a relaxed dinner! The portions are also huge Our server was wonderful from start to finish. He was friendly, attentive, and checked on us often without being overbearing. The service was honestly the best part of the experience. We started with the Sichuan calamari, and this was easily the highlight of the meal. It was perfectly crispy, the glaze had just the right amount of sweetness and heat, and the seasoning gave it a nice kick without overpowering the calamari. It was one of the best calamari dishes I've had and definitely raised my expectations for everything that followed. Next was the tenderloin bruschetta, and unfortunately this one just didn't work for me. The flavors didn't come together, and it was much saltier than it needed to be. It felt like there were too many things happening on the plate without much balance. I wouldn't order it again. For the entrées, the Chilean Sea Bass was very good. The fish was flaky and cooked well, the risotto was creamy, and the sauce brought everything together without being too heavy. It was one of the stronger dishes we ordered. The lobster stuffed ravioli was another solid choice. The filling was generous, there was plenty of lobster on top, and the vodka sauce complemented everything nicely without taking over. It was rich but still well balanced. We also tried the New Zealand rack of lamb. This one had mixed reviews at our table. It wasn't as tender as I was hoping, but I didn't dislike it and again I didn't love it! The blackened exterior and the wine reduction gave it good flavor, but it just wasn't particularly memorable. My favorite entrée ended up being the tomahawk pork chop. The pork itself was juicy, flavorful, and cooked really well. I wasn't a huge fan of the pineapple bourbon glaze since I didn't think it added much to the dish, but the quality of the meat made up for it. We also had the strawberry spinach salad, which was fresh and a nice lighter option alongside all the richer dishes. Then there was also a side dish with green beans and almond and again no complains there. Overall, I left feeling a little conflicted. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was great, and the portions were very generous. The food itself was a mix of really good dishes and others that completely missed the mark. After such an incredible start with the calamari, I expected the rest of the meal to be on the same level, but it just never got there. I'm glad we tried it, but I don't think it's a place I'd rush back to.
