Aweful! This is the second time that I have tried to use them. The first time the woman kept interrupting me. I don't remember too much from the first time that I ordered from them because it was a while back, but I remember how the woman kept interrupting me and I never really got to place the exact order that I wanted because I was so frustrated with her. I tried them one more time this evening because the same people had suggested them to me! What sounded like the exact same woman as the last time answered and immediately put me on hold. 10 minutes later I was still on hold. I hung up and called right back! Same woman and she again puts me on hold. I hung up again and called one more time. She's like we're real busy right now and I had to answer other calls coming in. I'm thinking hmm, so you put me on hold to take other calls after my call??? So I start telling her what I would like straight from their online menu. Then she puts me on hold again. When I confirm that the salads are $3.99 on their online menu, she says no they were something like $4.29. I wanted to order 10 of them but their website menu says $3.99. She starts to get rude with me and says she can't change the price even though they advertise the price on their very own website for $3.99 per salad. She asked if I wanted to speak with the owner and I said yes. She said okay what is your number and I told her I had to place my order now because it was for a doctors office. She said he would have to call me back to place my order. Then she puts me on hold again! At this point I just hung up. I'm sure they have caller id and this was not a small order but not surprisingly there was no attempt to call me back or to apologize! -Please don't use them! I'm sure the owner cares because it's his place and his money but obviously at least one of the non-owners that works there could care less how much business they lose and this was a corporate order! read more

A great simple burger/hot dog place. I've had multiple things in the menu. The dogs are good, the burgers are good, the gyros are good and the fries are great. They've been doing simple food like this for a long time. The service is great and you can often see the owner there working hard. read more

Pappy's has the freshest salads in this area . I usually get the garden salad and add ham and cheese. I don't get the julienne because l don't eat all that comes with it. However, I prefer to use my own dressing . Theirs needs work. read more

Pappy's is hands down my favorite restaurant. I have been going to Pappy's for the past 8 years and never have I ever been disappointed. Pappy's is a classic, family-owned diner with Chicago style food. The service is always quick and very friendly! You can always watch a Chicago sports game and/or HGTV when you dine in. I have had quite a bit of their menu, however, my favorite order is a grilled, buffalo chicken wrap with a side of cheese fries. Their buffalo sauce is very unique and not too spicy - SO DELICIOUS! The fries at Pappy's are a crinkle cut, crispy potato! They are always hot and crispy. Other favorites from their menu - chicken Caesar wrap, Vienna hot dogs, gyro, and any of their soups of the day. A visit to Pappy's wouldn't be complete without their creamy, soft serve ice cream! I would 100% recommend Pappy's to anyone visiting the South Side of Chicago. read more

I really like Pappy's. It is a great restaurant on 95th. They have a variety of food. They have delicious choices for dinner. I got the Grecian chicken and it was delicious. It was a little lemony, which I like, but I know that's not everyone's cup of tea. I've also had the steak sandwich which was pretty good. Personally, I liked the Grecian chicken better, but the steak sandwich was far from bad. It had lots of toppings which add flavor. Another, huge plus is they have ice cream. The ice cream here isn't free like it is at Jason's Deli, but if you want lunch and a sweet treat, this is your one stop place. I'm definitely planning on checking out what else they have on the menu. read more

This is a great little burger italian beef spot. Its cheap and quick. The fries here are awesome. They make a great polish with onions. Skip the BK the McDs and get in here. Great place. Have never had a bad meal here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. And you definitely get your money worth. Love the gyros, both the chicken and regular gyro. The greek chicken is great too. I only wish they had one table with real chairs as I am in a wheelchair and I always sit in the back to be out of other people's way. If there was one table with movable chairs it would make it easier. read more

Ah Pappys. How I love thou fries and beef, the spiders crawling on your feet. It makes me feel like a little girl riding on a unicorn in a lush, green field with red roses dropping out of the faun's behind. The world a distant memory, forgetting about all her troubles and living a perfect dream. That is what Pappys is to me, a 45 year old man with nothing to do but eat at a restaurant that isn't stable enough to stop the abspestos from raining down onto your table. read more

Average fast food. Gets pretty busy with all the local patrons supporting local family owned businesses. I was not a fan of the Italian beef or fries. They seem to offer a variety of things so we will be back to try something different and hope to be able to give a better rating read more

The gyro and shrimp basket are delicious!!! The shrimp basket was $8.99 and it came with literally 20 medium shrimp. The gyro was loaded with quality meat, the pita was soft and the sauce was very tasty. I will be back!!! read more

Haven't been to Pappys in years since I changed jobs. Tonight I had a taste for a chicken gyros for some reason so Pappys immediately came to mind. I took a drive and picked up four (can't leave the fam out). Brought them home and killed them! Just as good as I remembered. Fries and rings on the side were great too. I have a feeling now that the kids got a taste I will be going back a lot more. read more

We moved to Tinley Park from Evergreen a few months ago but I make sure to stop at Pappy's at least once each month. I knew it was a great place to eat before I ever tried a thing. The reason. Almost every person that walks in the place is morbidly obese. Seriously. These are the fattest people I've ever seen. Especially the children. It's ok. The burgers aren't really that tasty--they're nothing to go out of your way for. The hot dogs aren't much better. The steak sandwiches are decent, I guess. Excellent fries. Good subs. The ice cream is fantastic. I always leave Pappy's a little disappointed, because I expect it to be so much better. My kids love it, though, and the people who work there are friendly, so I don't mind going there. But I do find myself wanting a little more. read more

Alright since I am from this town i go here a lot. I love this place. It has the greatest fries in the area and the hamburgers and hot dogs are very good as well. The price range is pretty cheap if your looking for a quality meal that isn't to expensive. It has a variety of foods and i have heard that the beef sandwiches are good there as well. Pappy's is nothing special to me but it hits the spot for burgers and fries. Lately i have been getting the chicken tenders which are not bad also. They also have good ice cream, cakes, and chocolate covered bananas, I like to treat myself to a chocolate shake. I also like how you order at the counter and then bring a number to your seat. read more

I can't say enough great things about Pappy's. My son and I go here at least once a week. The food is very good, especially the wraps, Greek chicken, gyros, Italian beef / sausage combo and burgers. I love the corned beef they have in the springtime, too.. Excellent fries and great shakes and malts, too. As good as the food is, the staff is even better. I'm giving them 4 stars to be safe. I've had a few meals from them; generally the same thing: burger and fries. But they did a great job. TASTY, FRESH, and relatively FAST. I like their cheeseburgers and their fries are great. When I placed an order via phone for pickup, the lady was very helpful and got the order right - can't say that about other places. I love this place. I can just go on and on and on!! I used to ALWAYS order the hot dog-which was so delish- but one day I tried the chicken tenders, SO GOOD. But now I mostly get the cheese burger. Just had an awful experience and will never return. My daughters and her friends , who spend alot of time and money here were refused Water and ice even though my daughter was having a terrible nosebleed at the rime. First they asked for water and were refused then they asked for ice so she could put it on the bridge of her nose and stop the bleeding. Again they were refused. They ended up having to run home to a friends house.. I am furious and will not be letting my daughters return . I will be telling everyone about the awful business practices Pappys has .
