You can tell the staff loves your pets as their own. The manager is fantastic and has many years of experience working with dogs which gives me such peace of mind when we board our girl for a few days. The staff also sends pictures everyday and keeps their phone on hand, providing EXTREMELY quick responses to any questions or concerns by text. You can even have your dog groomed! We often do a simple shampoo/dry and then I get to take my squeaky clean, and VERY tired pup home. If all of that wasn't enough... they also do things for the pawrents too. Sometimes they offer contests where you can win discounts! Last year for Christmas, they made us ornaments and this year... they outdid themselves. They had custom sweatshirts made, with a REAL picture of your dog in a Santa suit... I mean come on.. I thought I died and went to heaven!! I've taken them to kristi twice now and I'm very happy with the results. She's so patient with these fur babies. One of them is high strung and a very nervous fur baby. Kristi makes him feel safe. He doesn't come out shaking like he did with other groomers because he's giving her kisses. My other pom loves everyone but she has thick course hair. Kristi gives her a wonderful deep condition that makes it soft. I like that when I tell her what I want I get exactly that. They always look great. We are already scheduled for our next appointment in 8 weeks. Everyone I've met her is so nice. I love taking my babies here. Theyre very reasonable too. Every single time I tried to schedule a groom or boarding, there were issues. What should have been a simple process turned into a drawn-out, frustrating experience with poor communication and no clear answers. To make things worse, after multiple attempts to get something scheduled, they claimed they "didn't like my tone" and refused to allow me to make a reservation at all. I've never experienced anything like that. Instead of trying to resolve the situation or help a customer, they chose to shut the door completely. Customer service is where they completely fall apart. Responses are slow, often rude or dismissive, and there's zero sense of urgency or accountability. It genuinely feels like they don't value their customers. At this point, it's hard to tell if they even care about having customers at all, let alone new ones. Do yourself a favor and avoid 2nd Family Dog at all costs. There are plenty of other businesses out there that will treat you with respect and actually make the process easy.
