This is long overdue! My husband and I had our wedding here last summer and it was amazing!! When we toured the venue, Matt (the owner's son) did not pressure us to sign a contract and suggested we decide after the menu tasting. Our family can be particular about food so it was awesome we could customize the food to our liking. We upgraded dishes for additional costs, asked to switch noodle types, use less oil, add more sauce, etc. Come the day of the wedding, our relatives and friends loved the food!! The whole lobster noodles and steamed whole fish were a hit. We also loved the open bar and how we were able to create a "his and hers" drink - Matt came up with the cocktail creations! Paracel is a family business and you can tell Matt and his parents enjoy what they do and how it brings their customers happiness. We had our ceremony and reception at the venue to make it easier for our guests. Ceremony space is smaller (just about the space of the dance floor) but the reception dinner space can hold a little over 300 people. We also had lion dancers (Paracel allowed which was awesome!) but it was a bit snug when we had 32 tables. Matt did caution us of the tight space with that many tables but we made it work! There's a large screen behind the stage for any videos to play, along with a large stage for the sweetheart table, cake, and DJ. We also hired Matt as our MC & DJ!! As the MC, Matt was able to get everyone's attention and help with entertainment. 10/10 recommend Matt as DJ!! He knows how to get the dance floor going that even the aunties and uncles joined in!! Matt also knew how to work the lighting and fog machines to add extra vibes to the dance floor. My friends raved how he was the best DJ they've ever heard at a wedding and every song was so good. We also supplied foam light sticks for our guests and it was so fun! Matt was always available via phone call or text whenever we had any questions or concerns for our wedding. Sometimes it may take a few days for him to respond (he's super busy!) but when he does, he provides the utmost detail and attention. We really felt we were able to create a wedding that was our own! On the day of our wedding, Matt reviewed the timeline with us and helped make sure everyone was on schedule. Megan was also helping out the day of our wedding too! The venue space was also nicely decorated already so the only decorations we really focused on were florals and signage! Paracel had a beautiful floral backdrop near the entrance that we used for welcome photos. We were able to fit a photobooth and donut/boba table comfortably in the back area. They used to have a cute patio in front of the venue but it was removed during renovations. It would've been nice to have that during the reception for guests to chill outside. Plenty of parking for guests and shops nearby if guests come earlier. Overall, would recommend Paracel for any event and trust Matt and his family to take care of your needs. read more

Food was a major concern for our wedding, and we are very happy we went with Paracel. We wanted a Chinese banquet dinner, but we had sticker shock with the options in SoCal/Orange County. Paracel's pricing was better than most vendors, and they were open to cooking at our selected venue. We got rave reviews from our guests about the food. There was a large variety of dishes so there was something for everyone's tastes. Some stand-out dishes were the fish maw soup, lobster with garlic egg noodles, roasted duck, filet mignon beef, and honey walnut shrimp. As the bride and groom, we also had the same dishes as the guests in smaller but still plentiful portions for two. Paracel served vegetarian and gluten-free meals to the right guests, and those guests with these dietary restrictions said they had a delicious and satisfying meal. Even our vendors enjoyed the vendor meals. A unique item Paracel provided were Lazy Susans that had a hole in the middle for the centerpiece to sit in so it would not take space from the food. It added to the traditional feel of the dining experience. The feedback we received from guests was the food got taken away too quickly, so maybe timing could be improved, although all the guests said waiters were courteous about asking to take the dishes away and leaving a dish if the table was still working on it. Regarding the planning process, Matthew was open to setting up phone calls. Matthew worked closely with our venue and ensured Paracel chefs would be able to cook on-site. Paracel was also flexible with us swapping dishes from the set menu with ones we felt our guests would enjoy more. Their portal allowed for real-time changes to the menu, which was helpful during our final calls ahead of the wedding. For the tasting, the meal did not include all our specific menu items and appetizers, but it gave a good sample of most of their main courses. It actually worked out as some of the dishes from the tasting that we did not have on our original menu ended up being so good we decided to add them/switch a dish. We were able to bring a small group of family members to try the tasting. In the year that had passed from our tasting to our wedding, Paracel tweaked their recipes for the better too. We were nervous because the quality and quantity of food were a big deal to our families, but the guests were impressed and no one left hungry. Wow, where to even begin! I had my wedding here last month in March, but we've been signed and working with Paracel for almost a year prior. From the food, to the staff, to the beauty of the venue - everything was perfect. It's a family business and we primarily worked with Matt- he's the son of the owners and he's also their resident DJ/MC. He was absolutely incredible in working with us in great detail- in fact, he's the one who personally made a ginger syrup for the "His" drink that we decided on. He was always available to answer questions via text, and he was always willing to meet with us during the week to work on ideas/drinks/dancing/DJ setlist. Literally he always made SO much time for us!! Food: Amazing. If you've never been to a Vietnamese wedding, this is the way to go (note: neither I nor my husband are Vietnamese haha). To begin is an amazing Vietnamese charcuterie- salad, jellyfish, shrimp, eggs. All plated so beautifully. Next, fish soup, soooooo so so so tasty, my friend said it's one of the best she's ever had. Lobster tail on garlic noodles - I never knew lobster could have so much FLAVOR. Shaken beef, always good. Coconut shrimp, the crowd favorite. Thai basil fish, YUM. Ended with house fried rice and fruit!!!! It's the actually owner mom/wife who does the cooking and it's so so incredible. I wish I could come back just to eat without the rush of a wedding!! Drinks: Great cocktails, full bar and actually interesting drink combos you can create! Another venue we looked at only offered like fruit juice/soda + liquor, and that just wasn't for us. Our His drink was a ginger old fashioned, and Hers drink was a chartreuse + coconut cream + lime and pineapple. I loved it! Their open bar prices are insane. Literally couldn't be beat. DJ/MCing - Matt is the BEST. He keeps the energy up and is so energetic and fun. Everyone loved him. He's also an incredible DJ - he let my husband and father in law DJ as well, which is so kind and fun. And after he took the reins back, he turned our wedding into a total rave night - exactly as we wanted. Even if you're not having a wedding here, hire him independently!!! He's seriously the best man to work with. They also have a fog machine and sparklers! Venue - We did minimal decor because it's already so beautiful. They also recently refurbished so everything is looking great. The walls are lined with white cloth, there's lights that can be any color, the front entrance has a beautiful flower wall that says "Happily Ever after". Working together: It was great working with Paracel for such a major event. I didn't hire a coordinator and often interfaced directly with Matt (and sometimes Teya - a part time Project Manager). They were always responsive, and even when they weren't able to get back immediately, they were always quick with a follow up. Ambience: The venue went through a major transformation from the time I booked ( Mid-2024) to when the event was held (late 2025), and everything looked amazing! Staff was friendly and accommodating, and willing to own up to their mistakes when they happened. Food: All our guests thoroughly enjoyed the food. Knowing that it's a seafood restaurant, they were willing to make certain adjustments to dishes to help compliment the palette (and sometimes certain dietary restrictions) of the guests. DJ & Music: Matt also doubles as a DJ, which was truly a win. Our guests had nothing but great things to say about his spin style, and the way he was able to blend to the vibe of the crowd. Opportunity Area: The only suggestion I provided was to increase the potential signage available, whether it's for signature drinks, or a poster/easel/digital board showcasing the event name outside. My wife and I had our wedding in late December, catered by Paracel's efficiently run family business. Matt and his team were a delight to work with the entire time. A year before our wedding, he set up a tasting for us, where we were treated to an intimate setting at the banquet hall, which included curated cocktails at no cost. We were pleased by the food and confirmed our booking for the big day. We also added on Matt's personal presence as both our DJ and MC. As our wedding date neared, Matt worked closely with us to iron out the menu details and logistics of how we'd serve our 200 guests offsite. We also gave him our itinerary and ideas for announcements, intros, bridges, and essentially running the whole show. He was accommodating and took the care to fully understand our vibe, our theme and our goals for the night. As the night ended, we received compliments ad nauseum, from our guests verbatim: "Best wedding food I've ever had" "I was impressed when the first dishes came out and kept getting more and more hyped as additional amazing dishes kept coming." I had my wedding reception here last weekend, and let me tell you Paracel was everything I was looking for in a venue and more! Matt: Matt is reason enough to book Paracel! On the day of, he was the DJ/MC. He was SO great, so engaging, detail oriented, so fun throughout the whole evening! So many of our friends and family members told us unsolicited how great he was! We gave him free reign with our playlist only as a starting guide, and he kept the vibes going! Not only was he great on the day of, but throughout the entire planning process he was so helpful and nice. We didn't have a coordinator, so he helped us plan a lot of the event. He even accommodated us when we happened to be in town for a quick visit, to answer some questions and help us nail down our signature drinks (aka he made us some specialty cocktails to taste and we loved them!). Definitely go with the open bar :). At every step of the way, he expressed excitement for our big day, was responsive for any questions we had, and made sure we felt taken care of. Food: We got so many compliments on the food! of course as the wedding couple, we didn't get a chance to eat much that night, but several of our guests did tell us how good it was. Our family and friends are still joking about how full they are from the wedding :P. Venue: they recently redid the outside of the building, and it looks really nice! Also the inside already looked so nice that we didn't feel like we needed much other decor. The day o,f they even had a beautiful flower wall at the entrance with a neon sign that said "happily ever after" which was such a pleasant surprise! this is family run business so they're willing to work with you and accommodate your needs. This meant we got to do really fun stuff like beer pong for one of our wedding games :). Also they were able to accommodate a next day clean up of our decor, so we could go out and party after and didn't need to worry about it that night. Staff: every interaction we had with the staff was so welcoming. They were all so nice, from the tasting, to the pre visit, day of wedding, and even on the day we came to clean up! A few of our friends also complimented the bartender for his mixology skills! Proximity to park & great food: It's so close to Mile Square Park which was a nice park for our pre-wedding photos. Also it's really close to Brodards and other great food options for appetizers or just other meals outside of the wedding. This is a very long overdue review. Paracel catered our wedding several years and I realized that I forgot to submit our Yelp review! We had their multiple courses Chinese/Vietnamese style banquet catering at our venue (Riverside Art Museum), in which they cooked on site, which is definitely not an easy task! The food was fresh and came out delicious. We got many compliments on the food! As the bride, I did not get to eat much at our wedding but they did pack us food from each of the courses to enjoy after the wedding. They also provided takeout boxes so guests could take leftovers home. Overall, we would highly recommend Paracel to anyone looking to have a multiple courses Asian style meal at their event! Matthew was amazing to work with for our wedding! From our very first consultation, he made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. He guided us through the venue details, coordinated the food tasting (where he even made our drinks, which were delicious), and kept us aligned on expectations every step of the way. He also provided us with a list of vendor referrals, which made planning so much easier. He helped finalize our wedding timeline with our coordinator and checked in again just before the big day to make sure everything was perfect. My husband and I booked this place, because it hit all the things we wanted: seating for 300-400 guests, affordability (cost per table versus per person), delicious food, great music, great staff, open bar, lots of parking, allowance for both ceremony and reception in one place. We seriously couldn't have done it without Matthew. Tastings are on weeknights; events generally run from Friday-Sunday. For customers, I recommend reaching out to Matthew for more information as prices can change over time. Food - We booked this place after we had our tasting, because it was the best Chinese-Vietnamese wedding food we ever had. It is an 8-course meal served family style with recipes crafted by Matthew's mom. They have different tiers, as well as vegetarian/vegan options and vendor meals. The venue also caters to outside events. I'm not going to lie, we were told food came out slowly for some tables, but I am giving the staff grace for this - I hope customers/guests (from our event and others' events) can be understanding as we had over 30 tables (and they had outside catering events that day), so that's a lot of food. **Tips: Definitely do a tasting (if you book the venue, the tasting cost will be deducted from your total). Try the chili sauce that the manager's mom made, especially with the soup! DJ/MC - As an additional cost, the manager Matthew also does DJing. Providing a playlist is very helpful, but he definitely also goes off the vibes of the crowd you have that day. A lot of our guests raved about the DJ, and I do have to agree that he did a great job, from throwbacks to 2000s clubbing music to mainstream music. & who wouldn't like a little extra presentation with firework and fog machines? Not to mention, Matthew was very helpful in looking over our wedding timeline and being flexible with changes/suggestions even during the night of the event. Bar - I recommend investing in the open bar! It is so worth it. The bartenders are good and the drinks are good. They also take into consideration what your guests would like to drink; we let them know to stock heavy on Heineken and Hennesy! Recs for the venue and customers - Keep communicating! It doesn't mean they are necessarily bad ideas, but it helps to bounce ideas and be on the same page; flexibility is good, but it's nice to be able to plan ahead if possible. Try not to overwork yourselves - whether it's the staff having multiple events or the customers trying to do it all by themselves; be willing to accept help / build boundaries, otherwise it will just be a stressful time for everybody. You will not find better value in a modern wedding venue than at Paracel. This is a great, family-run venue for couples who are interested in a fun/tasty banquet party without breaking the bank. Matthew, the son of the owner, is the event manager and whom you will be working with to plan your Paracel event. You can also hire him as your DJ, which I see as a MUST. Not only does that let you use Paracel's sound system (and makes your life easier), he is a genuinely great DJ. Multiple people, across generations, have come to me after the wedding to talk about how excellent he was - an actual quote "I don't know where you found that guy but he was awesome." I gave him a DJ guide before the wedding that basically let him know that my wedding would be a bunch of millennials hoping to relive the glory days of college and he nailed it. I wasn't even sure if our guests would be the dancing kind but people were tearing it up, including my 85-year-old grandma. Another actual quote from the night of the wedding: "Who knew LA's hottest club would be Lauren's wedding in Garden Grove?" Matthew is also a fun MC who creates moments that get the crowd excited and also create some really special moments (+photo opps!). The food is excellent. We opted for the premium menu which includes a very fun presentation of the first course (lobster salad) by the wait staff. Since we had a lot of non-Asian guests, we subbed the sea cucumber out for the honey walnut shrimp which was a hit. Many people have texted us after the fact to say that our wedding had the best wedding food they've ever had. It was also very easy to work in meal substitutions for guests with dietary restrictions. You have to book a minimum of 2 hours of open bar to have bartenders brought on site. We supplied alcohol for the other 3 hours which those same bartenders were able to serve out at no additional cost. In terms of decor, the restaurant is quite nice with lots of white fabric, less cheesy than your typical Vietnamese banquet hall. We decided to go for contrast with somewhat minimalist red florals which really popped. The round tables fit 10 but are on the smaller side, so putting a few bud vases and electric candles worked to create a vibe but were also easy for guests to move and make room for food as needed. I wouldn't do super tall, bulky centerpieces here. We had our ceremony at Paracel too and it was pretty seamless. The crew set chairs up on the dancefloor to create an aisle. During cocktail hour, they quickly removed the chairs and our ceremony pillars and set up our sweetheart table. We hired Cadence Hira (https://www.cadencehira.com/) to play the keyboard during the ceremony, was really easy for her to plug into Paracel's system. There is a greenroom in the back that functions as the bridal suite for weddings. Only downsides are there is no private bathroom and you have to walk around the back to the front of the restaurant to be able to walk down the aisle. None of those issues were a big deal though. It was all so easy, which I loved. Because they are a smaller, family-run business, the Paracel team has the flexibility to work with you to make your wedding happen the way you want. That said, it's a good idea to keep detailed notes of your conversations and be extra thorough about confirming details, especially in the week leading up to the wedding. We hired a day-of coordinator (Melissa Valentin https://www.mvalentin.com/), who was excellent at keeping everything moving, cueing us for the ceremony, etc. Paracel does have a list of preferred vendors but I found them all on the more expensive side and generally found my own instead. I did use their lion dance rec - Ane Thanh Lion Dance (https://anethanh.wixsite.com/liondance) - who I highly recommend as well. It was a highlight to have them as a surprise part of our grand entrance for the reception. Overall, our wedding was one of the best days of our lives and the energy of Paracel was part of that. We recently had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Paracel and we had the best time! I learned about Paracel after they catered my brother's wedding from the year before. All the guests really enjoyed the food and were so full. A lot of them said this was the best reception food they ever had. So when it came time for me to get married, it was an easy decision to have our rehearsal dinner at Paracel. We got the Golden Goblet Menu which had 9 dishes and we enjoyed every dish. The staff was really nice and attentive. They gave my fiance and I extra portions to make sure we were eating. Their bar drinks were also really good and I discovered a new drink I really like- Lychee Spritz (courtesy of Matt). We also discovered that Matt has some sick DJ-ing skills and kept the party going. After dinner, it quickly turned into a dance party which we did not expect at all lol. He even turned on the cold sparklers for us at the end of the night for the big finale. The night was like a full-on practice reception before our big day. Our whole family is consistently pleased with Paracel and will continue to use them for events in the future. We've been to this venue twice before for family weddings, and both times left a great impression. So when it came time to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday, this place was at the top of our list. I remembered the atmosphere being warm and welcoming, and the food was excellent--this time was no different. Planning was smooth throughout. I worked with Matt and his father, Tom, who clearly puts a lot of heart into the business. Tom was detail-oriented, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in making the event a success. During the tasting, he walked us through everything and made sure each dish reflected what we wanted for the night. The space looked beautiful and felt just right for the occasion. One minor thing I'd mention: the tables can feel a little cramped with ten guests, and the center turntable sometimes bumped into the glassware. That aside, everything else--from the layout to the flow of the night--was spot on. The food was incredible. Standouts for me were the filet mignon beef cubes, the lobster tail, and the basil fish. Every course was flavorful, well-portioned, and served at the right pace. The guests kept commenting on how great everything tasted. Our coordinator, Swan, was on point the entire evening. She checked in regularly and handled a few special requests without missing a beat--like uncorking some wine we brought in after the open bar closed. She really helped the night run smoothly. All in all, the whole experience exceeded expectations. I'd absolutely book with them again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for weddings, birthdays, or any special event. We finally had our wedding here September 8th and it was magical. We had our ceremony here and then our reception. Bác Thương and Matthew and the whole family were absolutely remarkable. Matthew was a great DJ and people were dancing all night. And the food... everyone went nuts over the food. We had maybe 1/4 Vietnamese guests 3/4 American guests and everyone loved the food. A great place for a wedding. A good size to accommodate probably 250 guests comfortably. Bartenders and wait staff were friendly and fast. Attending my cousin's wedding and we all had a wonderful time. Parking was easy. The MC was entertaining and the owner is out and about making sure guests are enjoying themselves. We just had our wedding a few days ago at the Turnip Rose Promenade in Costa Mesa. We chose Paracel to be our outside caterer after comparing the prices with other catering services and after an amazing tasting with our family members. Our parents requested a few changes during the tasting and Paracel delivered at the reception! The Paracel team showed up on time at the venue and finished setting up the lazy susan early. They worked seamlessly with the venue staff. The amount of service & food we received for the price we paid is honestly unbeatable. Many of our guests have mentioned the tasty chicken skewers during cocktail hours. Several of our guests even said that this was one of the best wedding food they have ever tasted. Everyone left feeling full and satisfied. They also checked up on us and our parents throughout the night and even packed up any leftover for our guests. We would like to thank you Matthew and the Paracel team for being so communicative and on top of their game the whole night. If I could give 100 stars, I would. If you're looking for a wedding venue, this is the one. It's a family owned business with Matthew, his dad and mom. I first spoke with Matthew's dad on the phone and he couldn't stop talking about Matthew. To throw a great party, which I did, you have to have 4 things: Fun people, great food, alcohol and awesome music. 1) Fun people- hopefully you're inviting people you vibe with bc that's what we did 2) Great food- you get a complimentary food tasting and I brought my picky Asian relatives. Surprisingly they all rated the food 95% so I knew the food was up there. Also shoutout to Matthew's mom for making all the delicious food for the 9 course meal 3) Alcohol- you're able to bring your own alcohol if you don't want to order their open bar. We took advantage and ordered the open bar and even extended it at the end. Open bar comes with their bartenders. Can't have drunk people pouring their own shots haha 4) Awesome music- This was definitely what sold me. When I met Matthew, he said "I could play you a set" and right then and there, I knew he was "the one". He knew exactly what we wanted and at night he turned our wedding into a club/rave. It was so lit that our guests are still talking about how amazing it was. He knows how to read the crowd and he's also the MC. He is the ultimate package. I didn't focus a lot on my decor or flowers because I knew people would forget it. Matthew also referred my florist, which then referred me to my hair and makeup artist and cake bakery. I just love how they've worked at Paracel before so it made everything stress free for me. I'm from LA, so coming to the OC is a trek. In the end, this wedding was worth every single dollar! I don't understand how this restaurant has received 4 stars or more. I attended a reunion for my hometown a few months ago, and this was the chosen venue. The restaurant was open during construction, so the environment was unpleasant--but I didn't mind at first, thinking the food would make up for it. Unfortunately, the seven-course meal was disappointing. None of the dishes were flavorful; everything was either bland, too salty, or lacking salt. The presentation was unappetizing. The crab soup, which should be simple for a Chinese chef to prepare, tasted like chicken broth with beaten eggs. Every dish felt like it was made by someone unfamiliar with authentic Asian cuisine. It was obvious that none of the cooks were Asian--all the servers and kitchen staff appeared to be Mexican. While there's nothing wrong with that in itself, it was clear they lacked training in Vietnamese or Asian cooking. I wanted to speak to the owner or manager that day, but a server told me they weren't there--and that they don't usually show up "unless someone dies." If you're the owner and want to serve Vietnamese or Asian communities, you owe us quality food. You can't just take our money and serve us something you wouldn't eat yourself. Because of this experience, our group has decided not to do business with you again. You might be able to deceive customers once, but if you don't improve, there won't be a second chance. This is a severely late review by a year, but I had to give a shout out to Paracel for catering our wedding last year down in San Diego. They have amazing food, service and an incredibly hard to beat pricing. Matthew is a true star and his father, Tom, is also incredibly kind. They were extremely professional, organized, timely, and communicative. I had no worries about the catering at all, which really helped with my stress levels planning my wedding. Matthew took care of everything from A to Z and even had such nice comments from my venue manager as well, stating that Matthew was a pleasure to work with, extremely professional and organized. Onto the food... this is some of the best Vietnamese banquet food that you can get for almost any price point. I was told by my very, very, very critical family members (we are biiiig foodies) that this was some of the best wedding food they have ever had. If you are looking to do a wedding reception in LB/OC area and you want the Asian style 7-9 courses, look no further! We had our reception here June 2025 and we cannot stop raving about Matt and the entire Paracel team. Matt is extremely kind and clearly wants the best for all his clients and guests. He is extremely prompt with answering questions. I also appreciated that he never tried to upsell or pressure us into adding things on. He was just all around so wonderful to work with! I was also in contact with Teya, their project manager, and she was also amazing! Venue: The venue overall is amazing. It's beautiful inside with all the drapes and lights. Right when you walk in there is a beautiful floral wall and an area to take photo with guests. We had 260 guests and no issues with parking because of their giant lot behind the building. Food/Drinks: We are Cambodian-American and really wanted to incorporate the Asian style courses. We loved all the food and we also went for the open bar package. 1000% worth it for us because our guests like to drink! DJ/MC: I already talked about Matt but he needs his own section for being our mc/dj. I initially only added the dj package for convenience and didn't want to look for a dj to hire, but hiring Matt for this role was the best decision we made! He is extremely talented at what he does and you will not regret adding the dj package! I usually don't go out of my way to write a review but I thought I had to share: My birthday was coming up and I had no clue to what to do since it fell on a Thursday. One of my cousins suggested I hold it at Paracel since they hold their "Tasting Menu" that day. From what I was told, people usually purchase a table and fill all the seats up and they get to try out what they serve during their events. This was perfect for me since I only wanted 10-12 people at my birthday dinner. I asked to have my dinner service start at 7 but told everyone to dress up and arrive around 6:30 because there was a bar and a really awesome bartender. It was so much fun seeing all the ones I loved dressed up for the occasion. After a couple a drinks with everyone, we got to our table and they started serving us our 7 Courses. I was nervous sharing a meal with my family and close friends since they all knew me from different eras of my life. But I had nothing to be nervous about. The food was so good whenever we had nothing to talk about, we all just indulged ourselves with more food! It really brought us together. (That and the bartender). My father (a very traditional man) who has been to this venue many times for weddings as well, tells me the food was the tastiest he's ever had it. For me, if my father is happy I feel like I have to alert God or something because I didn't deserve that miracle. Since God wasn't there, I decided to at least let their manager know. The manager was tending to another table that was also doing a tasting but as soon as he helped them out, he immediately came over to us. I told him about our heavenly experience with the food and service and he seemed to have really appreciated the feedback. He told us, they were trying to elevate the food experience while keeping him mother's recipes honored. Had the wedding reception of my dreams at Paracel!! HUGE shoutout to Matthew for hearing our vision of creating a rave for our friends and family and bringing that to life!!! Paracel seafood restaurant is such an amazing reception if you're a bride looking for your guests to leave FULL and to have a great time! Paracel offers an 8-course fixed menu, and has a large dance floor with curtains that light up. There's an option to hire Matthew, the restaurant owner's son, as your DJ/MC and believe me- if you are going with this restaurant, HIRE HIM!!!! He is such a fun MC who can also speak Vietnamese! He truly brought the party and all my guests loved his energy! We also told Matthew we wanted a mix of pop and EDM and he was able to play the tracks we had asked for! The DJ package also includes cold sparklers and fog machine! The sparkler and fog machine made our dance look so much more magical. There's also a spotlight that Matthew can turn on and that also adds to the first dance. Matthew is a wizard and he knows exactly when to use the fog machine, sparklers and spotlight for the best effect. People told me the first dance looked absolutely magical with everything combined! Paracel also offers upgrades if you want to make your dance floor white instead of the typical brown. I honestly don't know why people would choose any other reception venue other than paracel. I truly believe paracel is the best among the Asian reception venues we toured as it has so much more. Food review: 8 course meal, overall was good! Menu included typical Vietnamese staples such as Bo luc lac, Peking duck, crab soup, etc. Open bar had a wide selection, and they allow you to get shots. The shots are not watered down. Overall I would recommend this venue to anyone. Good value, fun reception site, amazing DJ/MC (who also doubles up as a bartender and coordinator). You will be thankful to have booked with them. A lot of my guests the next day texted me saying this was one of their top favorite, most fun weddings they've ever been to. Matthew, if you're reading this.
