This is long overdue! My husband and I had our wedding here last summer and it was amazing!! When we toured the venue, Matt (the owner's son) did not pressure us to sign a contract and suggested we decide after the menu tasting. Our family can be particular about food so it was awesome we could customize the food to our liking. We upgraded dishes for additional costs, asked to switch noodle types, use less oil, add more sauce, etc. Come the day of the wedding, our relatives and friends loved the food!! The whole lobster noodles and steamed whole fish were a hit. We also loved the open bar and how we were able to create a "his and hers" drink - Matt came up with the cocktail creations! Paracel is a family business and you can tell Matt and his parents enjoy what they do and how it brings their customers happiness. We had our ceremony and reception at the venue to make it easier for our guests. Ceremony space is smaller (just about the space of the dance floor) but the reception dinner space can hold a little over 300 people. We also had lion dancers (Paracel allowed which was awesome!) but it was a bit snug when we had 32 tables. Matt did caution us of the tight space with that many tables but we made it work! There's a large screen behind the stage for any videos to play, along with a large stage for the sweetheart table, cake, and DJ. We also hired Matt as our MC & DJ!! As the MC, Matt was able to get everyone's attention and help with entertainment. 10/10 recommend Matt as DJ!! He knows how to get the dance floor going that even the aunties and uncles joined in!! Matt also knew how to work the lighting and fog machines to add extra vibes to the dance floor. My friends raved how he was the best DJ they've ever heard at a wedding and every song was so good. We also supplied foam light sticks for our guests and it was so fun! Matt was always available via phone call or text whenever we had any questions or concerns for our wedding. Sometimes it may take a few days for him to respond (he's super busy!) but when he does, he provides the utmost detail and attention. We really felt we were able to create a wedding that was our own! On the day of our wedding, Matt reviewed the timeline with us and helped make sure everyone was on schedule. Megan was also helping out the day of our wedding too! The venue space was also nicely decorated already so the only decorations we really focused on were florals and signage! Paracel had a beautiful floral backdrop near the entrance that we used for welcome photos. We were able to fit a photobooth and donut/boba table comfortably in the back area. They used to have a cute patio in front of the venue but it was removed during renovations. It would've been nice to have that during the reception for guests to chill outside. Plenty of parking for guests and shops nearby if guests come earlier. Overall, would recommend Paracel for any event and trust Matt and his family to take care of your needs.

Wow, where to even begin! I had my wedding here last month in March, but we've been signed and working with Paracel for almost a year prior. From the food, to the staff, to the beauty of the venue - everything was perfect. It's a family business and we primarily worked with Matt- he's the son of the owners and he's also their resident DJ/MC. He was absolutely incredible in working with us in great detail- in fact, he's the one who personally made a ginger syrup for the "His" drink that we decided on. He was always available to answer questions via text, and he was always willing to meet with us during the week to work on ideas/drinks/dancing/DJ setlist. Literally he always made SO much time for us!! Food: Amazing. If you've never been to a Vietnamese wedding, this is the way to go (note: neither I nor my husband are Vietnamese haha). To begin is an amazing Vietnamese charcuterie- salad, jellyfish, shrimp, eggs. All plated so beautifully. Next, fish soup, soooooo so so so tasty, my friend said it's one of the best she's ever had. Lobster tail on garlic noodles - I never knew lobster could have so much FLAVOR. Shaken beef, always good. Coconut shrimp, the crowd favorite. Thai basil fish, YUM. Ended with house fried rice and fruit!!!! It's the actually owner mom/wife who does the cooking and it's so so incredible. I wish I could come back just to eat without the rush of a wedding!! Drinks: Great cocktails, full bar and actually interesting drink combos you can create! Another venue we looked at only offered like fruit juice/soda + liquor, and that just wasn't for us. Our His drink was a ginger old fashioned, and Hers drink was a chartreuse + coconut cream + lime and pineapple. I loved it! Their open bar prices are insane. Literally couldn't be beat. DJ/MCing - Matt is the BEST. He keeps the energy up and is so energetic and fun. Everyone loved him. He's also an incredible DJ - he let my husband and father in law DJ as well, which is so kind and fun. And after he took the reins back, he turned our wedding into a total rave night - exactly as we wanted. Even if you're not having a wedding here, hire him independently!!! He's seriously the best man to work with. They also have a fog machine and sparklers! Venue - We did minimal decor because it's already so beautiful. They also recently refurbished so everything is looking great. The walls are lined with white cloth, there's lights that can be any color, the front entrance has a beautiful flower wall that says "Happily Ever after". You can by a gobo to have a projection on the dance floor - highly recommend. Overall, I had the perfect wedding and I would recommend Paracel and Matt for any event you could think of! I wish someone in my life would throw a party here so I could enjoy it as a guest haha.

I had my wedding reception here last weekend, and let me tell you Paracel was everything I was looking for in a venue and more! Matt: Matt is reason enough to book Paracel! On the day of, he was the DJ/MC. He was SO great, so engaging, detail oriented, so fun throughout the whole evening! So many of our friends and family members told us unsolicited how great he was! We gave him free reign with our playlist only as a starting guide, and he kept the vibes going! Not only was he great on the day of, but throughout the entire planning process he was so helpful and nice. We didn't have a coordinator, so he helped us plan a lot of the event. He even accommodated us when we happened to be in town for a quick visit, to answer some questions and help us nail down our signature drinks (aka he made us some specialty cocktails to taste and we loved them!). Definitely go with the open bar :). At every step of the way, he expressed excitement for our big day, was responsive for any questions we had, and made sure we felt taken care of. We really appreciate you Matt!! Food: We got so many compliments on the food! of course as the wedding couple, we didn't get a chance to eat much that night, but several of our guests did tell us how good it was. The few dishes we got to eat seemed to be even better than it was during the tasting! Also I love that they provide guests to go boxes so that the food doesn't go to waste. Our family and friends are still joking about how full they are from the wedding :P. Venue: they recently redid the outside of the building, and it looks really nice! Also the inside already looked so nice that we didn't feel like we needed much other decor. The day o,f they even had a beautiful flower wall at the entrance with a neon sign that said "happily ever after" which was such a pleasant surprise! this is family run business so they're willing to work with you and accommodate your needs. This meant we got to do really fun stuff like beer pong for one of our wedding games :). Also they were able to accommodate a next day clean up of our decor, so we could go out and party after and didn't need to worry about it that night. Staff: every interaction we had with the staff was so welcoming. They were all so nice, from the tasting, to the pre visit, day of wedding, and even on the day we came to clean up! A few of our friends also complimented the bartender for his mixology skills! Proximity to park & great food: It's so close to Mile Square Park which was a nice park for our pre-wedding photos. Also it's really close to Brodards and other great food options for appetizers or just other meals outside of the wedding. Overall, we had a great wedding and felt that it was such a great value for what we paid for. I highly recommend Paracel to anyone looking for a wedding venue!

Steamed whole fish! This was from the tasting and it was one of the courses at our wedding banquet

This is a very long overdue review. Paracel catered our wedding several years and I realized that I forgot to submit our Yelp review! We had their multiple courses Chinese/Vietnamese style banquet catering at our venue (Riverside Art Museum), in which they cooked on site, which is definitely not an easy task! The food was fresh and came out delicious. We got many compliments on the food! As the bride, I did not get to eat much at our wedding but they did pack us food from each of the courses to enjoy after the wedding. They also provided takeout boxes so guests could take leftovers home. Overall, we would highly recommend Paracel to anyone looking to have a multiple courses Asian style meal at their event! Thank you again to the Paracel team for a wonderful wedding dinner!

Went for a friend wedding last weekend. The venue and ambience of the place was really nice. The bathrooms were clean. The food tasted OK. It wasn't too bad but I've had better one bad thing that I didn't like was that the servers kept coming and clearing up the table when we barely ate the foodwe had to tell them multiple times to leave the dishes

    Bryan H.

Came here for a company holiday party! The venue is great for your traditional multi course Chinese/Vietnamese reception services! The company that hosted opted for a cash bar, but the service was quick and owners work there and operate it like a well oiled small business! We had a lot of food options on the menu (crab egg soup, honey walnut shrimp, lobster noodles, fried chicken, and more), but my top dishes were easily the lobster noodles and honey walnut shrimp! I'd highly recommend this place if you're ever looking to do a wedding reception or holiday party!

I always go for my favorites: the siu mai, har gow, tripe, and cheung fun. The siu mai is always super juicy and packed, and you can actually see the shrimp throughout. The har gow is also one of my go-tos and is always a solid choice. This time around, we also got the turnip cakes, which were really good. Some reviewers write about a rude attitude from employees and a belief that people who speak the Korean language are treated better than those who don't. I've seen people who only speak English and are courteous being treated warmly. Furthermore, the employees here don't miss a beat. The timing of when the entrees arrive to the table after ordering has been consistent over the years. My 2nd visit I went with the Fried noodle dish, he made it with chicken and shrimp and it was amazing. Service is great and they kind of work the floor like a team and keep all the tables happy. Our 1st waiter knew a little Tagalog and playfully attempted to use it. He was really funny. Both times we took food home and had plenty of leftovers. Great little hidden gem that is a bit out of the way but worth the travel. Go check them out.

Came back here for a family event. We were a little worried about a long wait and hard parking but…read moregiven the recession-vibes these days, we also weren't that worried. Turns out, it wasn't nearly as crowded as before - though spoiler: the price has increased a lot (I want to say it was $25/lb 10 years ago, and now is $37/lb). Keep in mind too, you can't get a small amount like 1lb - usually it's gonna be 3+lb so your bill is easily going to hit mid-$100 to $200s from the lobster alone. That being said, many people swear this is the best, and that's why they can charge whatever they want. I'm actually allergic to lobster (lol) but am a team player so I just sampled it for the funsies, and had to get another dish to actually eat (went with the beef lok luk). My family said the lobster noodle was good, but not like, fantastic (which we were expecting not fantastic but yeah, mostly came here to a family meeting.) The beef lok luk was also pretty good like, 4.3 of 5 - we just had another version at Paradise which was astounding (like 4.6) though also more expensive and pretty far away. Overall, not sure if we'll come back again as we're more curious about the copycats that have popped up which might be 80% as good and much more affordable. Stay tuned! :)

Been coming to Seafood Cove for the longest time, still one of the OG spot for Chinese restaurants…read morein OC. My friends was craving for some house specials lobster and I was craving for honey walnut shrimp. We came around 5pm on a sunday before the dinner rush. A party of 3 we ordered 5 dishes the main 2 dish we came for 1. House specials lobster with noodles 5/5 The house special sauce for the lobster is so good. , the lobster was meaty, noodles smothered in that house special sauce, delicious. 2. Honey Walnut Shrimp 6/5. Ive been craving for this dish for the longest time and it didn't disappoint. The walnut shrimp was fried golden brown delicious, plump shrimp, the sauce was perfect and not overly drenched. The candied walnut nice crunch and sweetness. Definitely hit the spot and satisfied my craving.

Haven't been here in awhile. Decided to return for the lunch menu deal…read more I got the salt and pepper shrimp. This is always a must. It was good. Not bad at all. $15.95 it's cooked the same everywhere so if I can get it for a deal, I'm def down! Got the clams also. This dish was plentiful for a lunch special. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Nothing bad at all. Whole fried fish. Man this dish was tiny!!! The fish was tiny!!! It was tasty due to the sauce, but the fish itself was TINY!!! lol 2/5 stars. Everyone orders this but it's just too small for family style meal. House special fish filet. Yeah this was good but I tasted a lot more batter than the actual fish itself. I think seafood cove 2 cooks this better. 2/5 stars for this also Crap asparagus soup. 2/5 stars Naaaah not worth it. Don't order this lol. Save urself the money. Bland and boring. The service was great. They gave us plastic utensils for the kids. And also cups for the kids (styrofoam cups since the kids are messy and tend to drop things) Overall, it's a bit dirty. Parking sucks hardcore. Food is mediocre. But service is good. When you pay, you get oranges as dessert at the end. Seafood cove 2 is def better and plentiful parking compared to this place.

Wow, I have not had a good Chinese restaurant experience in about a year…read more.. I'm so glad I came here. We had a 9-course meal here, similar to a wedding celebration. We got the canh chua (Vietnamese sour soup with catfish), stir-fried beef, bo luc lac (shaken beef), sweet and sour fried pork ribs, HOUSE-STYLE FRIED FISH FILLET, KUNG PAO CHICKEN, STIR-FRIED EGGPLANT WITH PORK, honey walnut shrimp, and steamed fish with ginger, and complimentary orange slices at the end. Everything was absolutely delicious and I can't wait to go back to get my favorite items. I loved the fish fillet and kung pao chicken! The white rice was okay, but I would probably eat the entrees with my own rice at home. Their rice was a little on the dry side. Service was great and they refilled our waters and got us everything we needed. The restaurant is very spacious and can seat large groups of people. The food came out fast as well. Wow, I don't need to go to LA for good Chinese food anymore. Happy eating! Yelp Review #58- 2026

We went directly to the restaurant, and stood and waited. We asked the old guy at the register to order to go, but he tells us to look at the menu. We already knew what to order, but we complied and looked at the menu. After waiting for 10 minutes just to order, he still ignored us and won't take our order. After waiting so long to be ignored, we finally left. He had no respect for his customers. Otherwise, the restaurant looked nice. It was busy, but this left a horrible taste in our mouth.
