They have these black and goldish color tables with hot pot burners and an interesting grill in the middle using some type of parchment paper. It doesnt look like it gets too hot but it definitely will cook your meat and it doesn't burn nearly as bad as the Korean bbq ones. I chose the hot pot and bbq with snow crab legs today. Its 24$ for lunch hot pot and grill. 27$ for everyday dinner and weekend hot pot and grill. 1$ discount if you pay cash. Its 33$ for hot pot and grill with crab. I think this is a steal. These prices don't include drinks. There are 9 different broths and you can choose 2. None of them are spicy. I chose the pork bone and beef. The beef tasted a little like pho. As far as meats goes, there's not much. This place is very limited in hot pot and grill options. They don't have beef belly or pork belly or much seafood. They do have a calamari skirt that was decent. They had galbi, but it lacks a lot of flavor. All their meats lacked a lot of flavor. What I did enjoy was the sauces and salads. They had so many different vietnamese sauces from nuc mam cham to ginger fish sauce to soy sauce and fermented tofu sauce. I loved the pig ear salads. I also liked their veggie options. They had a good amount of choices. I ate the clams and the offal items. I generally like intestines or tripe and this of that nature. They didn't have intestines or tripe though. I ate my fair share of crabs as it wasnt big but it tasted good. It wasnt salty and they kept a flow of it coming! They're really good about refilling and bringing things out. They had some jello and oranges for dessert. For hot foods they had salt and pepper shrimp, fried fish, small fried crab and others. TLDR: It's $29.99 for an AYCE where you are given grill and soup access. The concept makes it feel like a bargain; the quality of the food and options will make them feel like a ripoff. It's worth trying, but I'd be amazed (and disappointed) in myself if I choose to come back here. Soup: You get 2. I got the mushroom and beef soup. Good news, the beef soup is basically pho soup, a half decent pho soup. Mushroom soup was.... just mushroomy. I did enjoy it more by mixing the two. Grill: It's a normal grilled just layered with parchment paper. They give you liquefied butter to help with the greasing up of the paper in the initial cooking phase. Things cook fine without the butter after the grill gets going. Cooked foods: They're in a buffet warmer, but I'd say they're closer to room temperature. You get deep fried blue crab legs, fried fish fillet, pork bone soup, clams, vegetables, and a few more options. They're good enough to try, but you could feel that they've been sitting there for a few hours. For the grill / soup: The "US Wagyu" thinly sliced meat is so frozen that you're gonna have a hard time removing it form the container. Thankfully, the rest of the ensemble is just refrigerated. Bulgogi is decent, the pork teriyaki is decent, the fish options aren't seasoned, but it's fixable with the butter and sides. Basically, you get 8-10 ish options where you'll say, okay. It's a bunch of okays, and I think some people will be fine with that. Unfortunately, I'd rather pay $2-3 more to get a bunch of good. Given the poor state (and look) of the food options here, I would recommend cooking everything medium well or well done, just to be safe. Miscellaneous hotpot section: You get pho noodles or egg noodles, a bunch of vegetable options, an assortment of squid balls, fish balls, imitation crab, shellfish, and other low-cost items to add body to your pot. Appetizer table: I'm not gonna lie. I didn't touch anything here. I'm just telling you that it exists, and it's all eaten cold. Dessert: Fruits. Cool. If you want ice cream, that's ala carte. $2 ish per cup depending on the flavor. Ambiance: These are one of the places where I'll just tell you to look at the food and nothing else. The place feels like it's seen better days. Everything on the buffet section feels like it's more than 10 years old, or bought 2nd hand from a failed restaurant. The tools/utensils provided are generally stained, and you could tell that they just wipe the surface when cleaning, as the crevices are on the darker end. I came in at 6pm on a Friday and it was a ghosttown. Thankfully, people started coming in closer to 7pm. Remember the meat section? The part where you expect to get most of your money's worth? They're the only place that hides most of their stock at the back. The thin beef slices only had 5 containers in the freezer, and they'd refill it only when it dropped to zero. I understand if they do that to maintain freshness, but even the stuff coming from the kitchen is frozen, so they clearly prepped this beforehand already. It's just eerie when you're basically coming in to what feels like the very start of dinner rush, and the place isn't stocked. Service: Good. The staff are polite, they try their best to give you what you want, and they're working with what they have, which isn't a whole lot. read more

Love that I dont have to pick between hotpot & grill because they offer both here. So many different broth options to choose from & you can do half/half to try 2 broths! I got the #1 & the #5. Both very flavorful. Lots of sauces to choose from/make your own dipping sauces. The fridge has different meats to grill, the counter has things for your hot pot and there's also a section of cooked foods that they keep in the warmers. Overall I think its a great price for what you're getting. I just do wish it was a little bit cleaner - if you can look past the cleanliness, then I think you'll be fine. We were the only family in during that time (we went like around 4pm so it was an odd hour to eat) but they were very attentive. It's a combo of Hot pot & bbq for $26.99, but if you pay cash you save $1 per person. Or if you want to add snow crab to your meal it's an additional cost per person. We went with the cash discount amount of $25.99 per person. For the hot pot, you have an option of 2 soup bases for each individual pot. We tried the house special, pork, bone, spicy miso, and sour viet soup. My favorite was the sour viet soup and house special. All soups were pretty flavorful and tasted very Vietnamese. The grill was different. They lay something like a parchment paper over the grill and then add melted butter on top, the you add your choice of protein. We did not particularly like anything that was grilled. The hot pot was more enjoyable. Once you order your soup bases, you get up and grab plates full of veggies/noodles/seafood/meat to add to your hotpot, meats/seafood to grill, hot appetizers, cold appetizers/pickled veggies, sauces, and dessert (fruit or jello). The cold appetizers and pickled veggies were pretty good. The hot appetizers my family enjoyed: especially the snails, crab, and shrimp. There was a bit of a variety of veggies. The meat and seafood didn't seem very fresh. Usually I don't eat fish, but the swai fish with the sour soup was probably the best. Which is not saying much. The dessert was good. Pandan jello was a bit hard, but edible. Cut oranges and watermelon were really sweet. There was also this hello/chia seed drink that I really enjoyed. Overall decent meal, but not sure if we will come back. Cleanliness was questionable, don't look too closely at the floors, tables were a bit sticky. But the variety was just enough for me to enjoy my meal. I got the sour cabbage broth and the miso broth which I really liked. I was very disappointed with my experience here. For an all-you-can-eat hot pot and Korean BBQ that costs around $28 per person, I expected much better quality. The food was the biggest letdown. The meat was very poor quality--tough, chewy, and lacked freshness. The only item that was somewhat acceptable was the Korean BBQ beef, but even that was hard and not tender. The chicken feet were so tough they were practically inedible. Some of the frozen items were still stuck together, making it obvious they hadn't been thawed properly before serving. The grill was also disappointing. Instead of grilling directly on the grill, they covered it with a thin sheet, which completely took away the grilled flavor. The drinks weren't any better. They advertised buy one, get one free, so I ordered the soy milk drink. It was so watered down that I could barely taste any soybean at all. The restroom was another major issue. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. There was a dead cockroach on the floor, the sink was dirty, and the toilet paper dispenser was empty. A dirty restroom makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen as well. The only positive thing I can say is that the restaurant was quiet with no wait. Unfortunately, after eating here, I can understand why. Overall, I don't think this restaurant offers good value. The food quality simply doesn't justify the price. Personally, I wouldn't pay $28 for this meal again--in fact, I don't think it was even worth $15. read more

My family and I enjoyed eating here for the variety. They have some different broth options than when you go to regular Shabu. I had the vegetarian and pork broth. Both tasted soooo clean but flavorful. When I go to shabu I usually get tonkotsu but it can be too salty or heavy so I really enjoyed the plain pork broth. Someone got tom yum and the Vietnamese broth and said he enjoyed both. There were as many option buffet style but enough for me. The hot food area had fried chicken which my dad loved the way it's cooked and he's pretty picky. My sister, husband, and I enjoyed their bulgogi. We frequent kbbq and we liked how unstringy it was (cause we have that issue ata lot of other places) and the flavor was good but not overly sweet. Everyone else had spicy pork belly but I did buy they said they also enjoyed that. Overall service was good and the lady was very sweet.
