Great Biryani and amazing service . I came in here on a Sunday evening after getting a recommendation from a friend. I wasn't extremely hungry but definitely wanted to get a few bites in. Now I am not a Biryani expert by any means, but I had enough to know if it's authentic, and boy does paradise hit it right on the spot. The spices and flavor in their food is just right, with the dish being more on the spicy side. Lastly, their customer service is impeccable, the waiter was consistently asking me if the food tasted good, making sure my water was filled and overall just seeing that my experience was satisfied . 2.5 stars. As many have mentioned, the service here is terrible, just expect to be frustrated and pissed off at the staff when it comes to that. I've experienced their incompetence while dining in and also during phone orders (the imbecile who answers the phone has even hung up on me several times after telling me to "hold"). But I'm persistent and eventually get through. Hands down, their chicken dum biryani is their specialty. Don't even doubt it. Remember it, write it down. It's delicious. Their indo Chinese is also decent. Outside of that, I've been unimpressed with their starters and curries for the most part (chicken tikka masala is decent). I tried the boneless chicken biryani once and I still have nightmares about it here and there, so avoid that too. I drive to this place all the way from West LA, religiously once or twice a month. And I'm sorry to say that the quality of the Goat Dum Biryani is consistently deteriorating. The pieces are dry and flavorless. Its almost like they are serving microwaved biryani instead of freshly cooked. How do I know you ask? Even when I eat it at the restaurant, it tastes the same as, when I take it home, put it in the fridge for a couple of days and then microwave it. Get your $#!+ together Paradise. read more

Where to begin. After a really long drive from Sacramento into LA we decided to stop into Paradise Biryani Pointe for a quick NYE dinner. Our waiter was very pleasant, but not much can be said about the food. One of the dishes we ordered was a vegetable dum biryani. We received the biryani with hardboiled egg. Generally in the Indian culture it is pretty widely understood that vegetarian dishes will not use eggs...it goes without saying, we were turned off that it did. However, we voiced our frustration about the dish and was given a new dish without egg. On a side note...it's not the norm to receive biryani with hardboiled egg; this was a first. Another dish we ordered was a shrimp dum biryani. The dish was served with, again, hardboiled egg. I don't get it. The dish was okay until I noticed that it had chicken pieces mixed in. I stopped eating land animals 6 years ago and was immediately turned off when I realized it had chicken mixed in. I don't think it was intentional, but the oversight is enough to bother a pescetarian. Lastly, I ordered paneer tikka masala. The dish was never input with the rest of the order and was only input after I inquired about the dish. The dish was decent...but since my experience was quickly fading from the previous dishes, I didn't have much of an appetite for the dish when I received it. One of the worst Indian food I ever had. On Sunday evening for dinner they ran out of chicken biryani, which they claimed is their popular dish. I was told the chef is cooking chicken biryani and could take 30 min. For which I waited and expecting to taste hot and fresh delicious biryani. After so much of dilly-dallying biryani arrived. Chef was under gun or was given only 30 min to cook biryani . The rice was sticky, the chicken pieces barely had any taste. We also ordered Hyderabad goat masala as spicy, came as sweet. Surprisingly, I tasted the Paradise Chicken Biryani which was good, but the dish that wowed my taste buds was the Chicken Tikka Masala...sweet, sweet goodness in my mouth. I also enjoyed the garlic butter naan and dipped it in the masala sauce, oh so good. The place was wide and spacious, not a lot of customers. The bathroom has 2 stalls and was clean. The waiter was very patient with us especially since none of us were Indian and had no clue what to order, he suggested we try different dishes and share. I also liked that we didn't feel pressure to leave, knowing that it was after 9pm and they close at 10pm, perhaps our loud conversation and laughter helped bring life into the place. Boneless chicken biryani: tasteless, shame on biryani. 2. Chicken Dum Biryani: the taste totally differed from the last visit. If the chef has changed or your ingredients, please go back to the previous one. Current ones are horrible. 3. Kadai Vegetable: A Shame on Kadai vegetable dish. Loaded with Onions and onions only. Dropped frozen veggies that too very less and inexcusable flavor. When asked the seasoned staff, they put a serious face that they will check but never got back. Just finished Lunch. Ordered their lunch special. It was served with Hyderabad Curry, Naan, Rice, Dal Fry, Raita, Gula Jamun and Pickle. The curry was totally Americanized. I could not see any Andhra flavor in it. The portion were very little. I had the Rice on plate without any curry or dal. Managed it with Pickle. I have been to this place multiple times and the biryani never tastes the same every single time. I dont know if the chef changes or what, but the biryani tastes quite different eAch time Sometimes its very pleasing with each grain cooked perfectly and sometimes too spicy with too much masala. We also tried most of the appetizers here with ckn65 being best of the lot. Never ever order anything spicy here, they will dump a bunch of chillies on your dish. Ambience: okay, good!!! Customer service: TERRIBLE, There is this bald guy who works/manages/owns, I don't know who that is. But he is so rude, biased and intimidating. You order something, you get something else. When you tell him to adjust the bill for that item, he would say," bill has been generated, can't change." Order timing: takes forever to serve you on time. In order to save the timing, I order over the phone and would just DINE-in. But that bald guy with his aggressive rudeness will threaten you that you can't do it and if you do it again, they won't take the order. Server tip: there is this Mexican lady, she works there and she is very very NICE. She deserves all the tips. But the manager/bald guy will take half of the tip. On top of that, the tip which we put on credit card bill, they won't give to the servers. So please if you are tipping any server, please tip them in cash and that too in your presence. Food: only BIRYANI is good, rest is crap. Making fool to these American people on the name of Indian food. Not even close to authentic taste of Indian food. Recommendation: NO, I won't suggest anyone to go there. If you want to eat biryani, yes get it from there but get it delivered to your place through some food ordering apps.
