When I'm craving for something sweet but not too sweet, I love to go to this dessert shop. Inside is very spacious and there are several tables where you can sit. I had 2 to go orders so far and I was satisfied with the quality of food. My favorite is crepes with Nutella and strawberries. A taste from home was my thought when I went to Paradise MX. I got Chicharron Preparado and Agua Fresca de Mango y Piña. They don't play when preparing that chicharron. It was well fill, many places add very little ingredients. Paradise packed it in a reasonable size too lol. The ingredients tasted fresh. They had hot sauce available too, which is a must for me. This was not the experience I was expecting at all. They need to work on time management and better communication. Yes, I knew before hand that some items were overpriced, but I wanted to see what the hype was all about and I made the trip out there. I have attached the receipt for proof of what I am talking about and maybe, hopefully will save someone their money and TIME. We got there at 7:30pm and saw the line but still decided to wait. Notice: I even gave a whole tip because I saw a kid working and well, I was being kind. LOL Anyways, let me start out by saying that a lady calls out my name and tells me "Diana, did you notice that they didn't charge you for your mangonada?" and I was like "I did not" AND she proceeds to tell me "well, I will give it to you anyway but when I do, you will get in line and pay for it. I kept my cool the entire time so I said "OK". At this point it was already 8:20. Next thing that happens one of the workers, tell me that they ran out of chicharrones and he then tells me that they will just give me a Large Mangonada instead, since they hadnt charged me for it, anyways--which i totally understood and agreed. More time passes by, then the same worker himself is wondering where my order is at, even though he was the one handing them out LOL. Well, then he tells me he is sorry one more time and calls the first lady and the lady claims that I ordered a fresas con crema (I don't even like fresas con crema LOL). She tried to have an attitude and I literally explained what happened about them not having no more chicharrones and the guy making it up with a mangonada. The worker himself agrees. But the lady was pretty much frustrated. Mind you, they close at 8pm. Throughout this whole time the owner (I think) is wiping off tables and overhears my conversation about being there for an hour at this point. He then "hurries" the workers but they all look confused. After 2 more times of back and forth, about my fruit, my ice cream scoop, and my mangonada, it seems like we are finally going somewhere. I proceed to sitiing back down and the man that i think is the owner has the audacity to handing me a freaking Ferrero and says "para agarrar mas energia". As a business owner myself, I think you always want to strive to make things right and he literally handed me a ferrero LOLOL. But i kept my cool. The mangonada they gave me didn't even have the paleta that it comes with and barely any chamoy, the ice cream was alright and the crepe was not it (too much cream cheese). The fruit itself was not as packed like the previous orders. I wish I would of taken pictures too. I EVEN TIPPED THEM LOL not knowing this was all going to happen.... not going back and i hope, maybe someone will reach out to make this right. We went during the grand opening and everything was delicious!! The tres leches pancakes were soooo good, as was the pins colada ice cream. Our kids got the others and they were excellent as well. The menu is in Spanish but the counter staff is bilingual so it's all good and you'll figure it out. My husband doesn't speak Spanish and was totally fine. Such a cute place! Decorated like you're on a resort in Mexico. Lots of seating available both inside and outside. The menu had a good variety of ice cream, crepes, donuts, and other treats like street corn (elote). Tajín & chamoy were in a lot of the specialty orders which all looked super good. If you're looking for something more traditionally sweet, there were plenty of crepes, donuts, and ice cream flavors to chose from. I got a mix of strawberry ice cream & fresh strawberries covered in chocolate - it was super good!
