My brother and I came in here to eat lunch around 3:30 today. Viviana helped us with most of our orders and recommended a lot of great different varieties that she enjoyed eating. At the end of our meal, we had asked if our tip would go directly to her because she was so amazing sweet and always had a smile on her face and in a good attitude. We went during lunch both times which is cheaper than dinner but you're able to order off the dinner menu if you want to pay a little more. I wanted to give this 1 star because of my past experiences, the lack of any MENU on their website, and very limited and coveted Happy Hour information that they purposefully scrub from the internet and review sites (I've seen this first hand). I am not trying to bash them but it is increasingly difficult to get any information out of this establishment, especially this location. Their food for the most part is consistent, however, I've had some bad experiences to be truthful. I've spent my birthday at this particular location, and enjoying their hibachi. I was there with my twin sister, and our significant others and mother had requested a special inclusive for our birthday, however, it never happened... It was incredibly disappointing for everyone. Especially after finding out that they had requested it and nothing had come of their request. This was last year around the same time as I am writing this. Our birthday is 1/27. Another inconsistency I noticed is in some other recipes, some things come very normal and then the next time I visit it is either undercooked or over spiced. I tried to get their fried rice often, but it is hit or miss, as well as their carpaccio which I've had to return at least once (And I hate to do that!) I am, however, writing this review, currently to express my dissatisfaction in ANY menu on their website, being at the regular menu or happy hour, which is bizarre. I feel like this well established business should have a better grasp on not only there online presence, but in-house communications. The staff, for the most part have been pretty friendly, but they do tend to hire people who are pretty indifferent and apathetic- like college kids and teenagers. To finish the weirdly inexistent happy hour menu is absurdly hard to obtain which for such a mediocre establishment. It's very hard to understand why they would do this. Service was pretty slow but it was a slow day so I get it. From top to bottom in the picture we ordered the Golden California, Vegas, Salmon Delight, Salmon Lover and Ninja. As well as a couple nigiri pieces. The Ninja roll was by far our favorite and we'd come back just for that roll specifically. My personal favorite was the Vegas roll. Everything else was just eh. Probably wouldn't get those rolls again. The nigiri was also just okay. If you want good nigiri then this place isn't the one for you. The AYCE also comes with miso soup and salad starter. This used to be a favorite sushi place of ours. But last night the straw finally broke the camel's back. Their prices are higher than ever, including an additional ridiculous credit card surcharge prominently displayed all over their menus. But what really did it for us was this: Two of us walked in last night for dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The sushi bar was almost completely empty with just two people sitting on the opposite side of the curved bar near the front door.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]All the remaining seats were crammed together (less than 1" between chairs) around the curve near the front door or on the opposite end of the bar leaving the best area in the middle without seats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Since it was cold out, we moved a couple of seats towards the middle of the bar so we could sit away from the draft of the front door.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A tall man working the sushi bar line furrowed his brow and literally "brushed" us back with a disgruntled look on his face and without saying a word. Confused at why he was brushing me away with his hand in a dismissive way, I looked at him and said, "what?" He told me to move our chairs back as that area was reserved for sushi pass off. No hello. No greeting. No smile. No hospitality. Literally BRUSHED away to sit in another area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've sat at that sushi bar and in that spot for many years. Why is the best and most comfortable part of the sushi bar now being used as a food handoff?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That makes zero sense. Use the area in the restaurant designated/designed for the passing off of food from the kitchen to servers, not an area where your customers prefer to dine. This place clearly has their priorities backwards now. Customers should come first and certainly be treated, minimally, cordially. That said, it forced us to find another sushi place closer to home that we then visited. They also had all you can eat and we laughed when we walked in and ALL the staff behind the line smiled and said hello as we walked in. Don't succumb to this place. It's not a Paradise anymore. The table was ready for us right when we got there and our waiter was on top of it from the start! The AYCE menu had pretty much only Nigiri's, rolls, and hand rolls. Four stars feels fair for this place. I think they've taken some of the other reviews into account. As of December 2022, their restaurant feels clean, orderly, and their staff is on top of it. Our food came in good time. We got everything we ordered. Fish feels high quality. My only complaint, and this does feel really silly (it's mentioned in other reviews) is that they put rice inside the rolls. This, to me, is an indicator that they're hoping to cut costs on all you can eat but still make a profit. I think this is due to folks over ordering. We are more likely to feel full from rice than we are from raw fish. :) Reminder to the folks who seem new... all you can eat does *not* mean all you can order. If we only paid $30 for a meal but we ordered all the fish in house and then didn't eat it, we'd be wasteful, gross pigs with no sense. Come on, now. They have to come up with a system to keep their food from being wasted by American gluttony. Since they say it's all you can eat, they can't cap our orders.
