My friend and I popped in during the week to check it out. He had been before and this was my first time. I was told the food was "ok" and honestly after that was how I would describe it as well. I will say our treatment and service was excellent from the moment we arrived. The vibe and decor, especially the floral arrangements above the bar were beautiful. I ordered a glass of wine and we we shared the chicken skewers to start. I thought the chicken was decent but the pita and yogurt was very, very tasty. For the main, I had the pappardelle. I would also describe this as ok. It had great presentation. The cherry tomatoes were notably delicious. The flavor just didn't jump out at me, and I felt it needed something to make it pop. Walking into this place transported me to Miami!! I absolutely loved the decor and vibes of this restaurant. Lots of neons, pink and gold all over the place, and really cool floral wall paper throughout entire place. It's got a pretty big interior dining space and lots of patio space for outdoor dining. Decor-Miami vibes all over the place. The good trim and finishing was fire and the wall paper tied everything together. Even the tile on the floor were cool and esthetically pleasing. Made a reservation 5 days before our dinner and was only able to sit outside for a party of 3 even after I asked if they could sit us inside. This was a bit disappointing since there were several tables inside that stayed empty during our whole stay. I feel like this place purposely sits ppl outside to make it seem like it's more packed then it actually is. I didn't expect much from this place food wise since it just seemed like an Instagram worthy restaurant with all the nice backgrounds and areas to take pics. I will say one of the reasons I didn't like about eating outside while having my dinner is all the ppl that walk around just to get that perfect pic for their social media pages. To start, the inside was decorated so cute. The food was nice as well, I appreciate that the dishes were unique and came out fairly quick. As for why I was less than happy, the service was not as amazing as the rest of the restaurant. Our waiter had not came to greet us, and as a group of three we were squeezed onto a two top table even though it was not the lunch rush hour. I understand that our waiter had a few tables and could not greet us right away, but he had treated the table beside us much differently than my table. I came here on a Thursday evening and was immediately seated. My waitress was very attentive and kind. I ordered the Rock Shrimp Fra Diavolo and the Broccoli di Ciccio. My friend ordered the Sweet Corn Rigatoni. All three dishes were delicious. The broccoli salad was something new for me and I was pleasantly surprised by the light flavor and the subtle seafood taste. The sweet corn rigatoni was also delicious with its creamy texture and slight sweetness from the corn. I also enjoyed the fra diavolo, but didn't find the shrimp adding much flavor to the dish. Maybe using larger shrimp and pan searing them first would lend better flavor and texture to the dish. Overall a good experience and I'd be back to try out the other dishes! read more

First, let me say this location is so beautiful and everything you would dream of when going to a weekend brunch in terms of looks. But that's about where it ends. The look is bomb, the pizzas were amazing but they are VERY strict on their brunch menu. The menu that doesn't match the online menu which isn't cool. They won't let you order anything else which is fine once you get past that. The drinks I few are overpriced but good. I had the lemon delight. I looked for a basic champagne and the list isn't great. Also, they don't communicate to each other so when they were out of things we waited not knowing they were out. What saved the day is our waiter, he was SO KIND and nice and went above and beyond to fix all of our issues. Do not order the quiche it was a joke. A thin slice of egg pie and some sort of salad. I just moved to the area and saw this beautiful spot last weekend while walking through Bishop Arts. We tried to eat here then but it was a 45 min wait even though there were many empty tables. I still wanted to try it out so i visited their Instagram and made a reservation for this weekend. I came with a party of 6 and we had a 7:45 pm reservation. We got a few drinks and some hummus to start. I really liked the fresh pita bread. The hummus was fine but nothing special. Drinks were also fine but nothing amazing. For dinner we had a couple pizzas, chicken thighs, salmon and rock shrimp. The chicken and salmon appeared to be the highlight of the table, although i didnt personally taste them. We also ordered sides of fries and tabouleh. The fries were probably my favorite part of the meal. Garlic, parmesan and rosemary is always a winning combo. The pizzas we got were the sopprasatta and chorizo and olive. The sopprasatta was the best. Drizzled with Calabrian honey was delish. Two members of the party did not like the charred bits on the pizza, pretty standard when cooked in a wood-fire oven. I didn't mind it. I didnt find the pizzas that flavorful and the crust was a bit thicker than i would have liked. I tried the rock shrimp diavola and it was ok- i dont think the shrimp was super fresh- it tasted fishy to me which is a sign of it not being that fresh. I know were in the middle of the country so that affects the freshness of seafood- just worth noting. I wanted to try their desserts- very limited dessert menu. They could stand to have a better chocolate option. We shared (the three that wanted dessert) the panna cota and caramel cheesecake. Both were tasty but not amazing. Overall, i am torn about my review of this place. I am leaning towards a 3 for food but 4 for ambiance. Ultimately 3.5 but we can't do half stars. I give it a 3 because what food tastes like is what makes me go back to a place. A pretty ambiance might get me in the door once. This place is quite pricey but overall not worth the hefty prices. Also worth noting, we had a non optional 20% gratuity added to out check with a party of 6. I just moved here so I'm not sure if thats the norm. Paradiso is adorable both inside and out - you can't miss the numerous photo opportunities; they're everywhere, both inside and outside the restaurant! The pizza was my favorite. I'm a fan of spicy-sweet, and the honey paired with the soppressata - chef's kiss! I'm sure the handmade pastas are as good as the pizza; I will definitely be back to pair them with some wine. I wasn't impressed with the drink options, and be mindful what you have a taste for their menu changes for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Also, keep in mind this is Bishop Arts; I definitely suggest making reservations and allowing extra time for parking. We had a slight mishap and were charged twice with no receipt, but the manager was great and promptly fixed the issue, so no complaints. It wasn't his fault our server was not the best. But a shoutout to the sweet host - they accommodated my party and me without reservations on a busy Friday night rush because I was nice. It pays to be kind, folks! Asked if the bartender knew the shot. Bartender #2 (I think Adam, neck tattoos, built, hispanic) mocked my question. I asked Tender #2 several questions he blatantly ignored. When I asked his coworker who made the shots if he was okay she said "yeah he's just like that." He then repeated "don't call ICE on me" and "I'm getting no tip from this guy" despite me already providing a 30% tip. When I told him that he said "I don't give a fuck about you or your tip." Clearly this guy has issues, is on drugs, or is otherwise unfit for this job. Cherry on top? He took the shot I bought him. I'll never return. read more

The only thing that really knocked it out of the park was the desserts, all of them were tasty! For starters we had, the grilled golden beets, and fried artichoke. Both were really good. Unfortunately, our server kept disappearing for very long times so that put a damper on the experience. For our entrees we tried the spaghetti (6/10), Gemelli & Butternut Squash Romesco (7/10), Roasted Chicken (2/10, had to send back) Pan Seared Salmon (4/10), and the Italian Sausage pizza (8/10). So pretty, beautiful restaurant with a come and stay a while vibe. Service is leisurely, and there is no rush to get you in and out. Drinks are amazing, perfection, delightful and priced on par with the surrounding area. Food is good but it ranks below the atmosphere and beverages. We came for brunch which is a limited menu, the biscuits and gravy not only look amazing, but there is a smoky heat to this fluffy dish, that is so satiating. Likewise the fresh bread with herbs, feta and oil is much lighter than the biscuit and a great shareable appetizer. Read the pizza ingredients carefully, we got the soppressata because it said spicy but I didn't read the rest as it also has honey! A sweet pizza is not my jam, I didn't like it at all, but it's my fault for not reading the menu in its entirety. Lastly I had the baby spinach salad with strawberry's and it's a baby salad. The salad is priced way too high for what you get in portion size and ingredients and there is nothing special about it- it's a skip. Recommend stopping here for a specialty cocktail and some appetizers. Wish the outdoor space had more shade than the table umbrellas, it is Dallas and a larger pergola or shade sail would help keep the skin from roasting. read more

I met some friends at Paradiso for a Galentine's dinner. There's alot of construction around it and its located in a busy section of the Bishop Arts district. With that said, if you don't like dealing with congested areas, I wouldn't try this place on a weekend. It's a very cute place. The courtyard area is a worthy location for taking pics. The service here wasn't very good. There were 5 of us in my group so not too large but our drinks were brought out one at a time over a span of 20-25 mins. I ordered the Missed you in Dallas cocktail which was a special for Valentine's. It was pretty but the mezcal overpowered all the others ingredients in the cocktail. We stopped our waitress as she was passing by us to put in our food orders. I ordered some oysters along with the ricotta duck confit. The oysters were flavored w Lavender and Grapefruit. I thought they were very good and fresh. The duck - I was not a fan of at all. My friends ordered a variety of things pizza, the hummus, this crab dish and fries. Pretty slow even when it wasn't super busy, and we had to ask multiple times for utensils and plates. The drinks were above average; pretty strong, but the rose and coffee notes on the two respective drinks were a bit too subtle for my liking. The food was okay. We ordered the rock shrimp pasta, duck ragout, and roasted chicken. Everything was good but nothing really stood out as amazing. The desserts, however, were delicious! The chocolate fudge cake was rich and flavorful. The panna cotta was delicious and not overpowering. Both were also well-plated. For the future, I would not come back and splurge on entrees again. We had hummus and pita bread and fried artichoke for appetizers. Hummus also come with carrots and celery sticks as our gluten free request. They ran out of 2 dishes (quiche and lamb grilled) we wanted so I had to order prosciutto arugula pizza and steak and fries instead. I decided to give Paradiso a second chance, and came to have lunch with a friend. For starters we were greeted warmly upon our arrival and seated in one of their booths. Our waiter Julio was amazing, he came right over and went over the menu explaining the dishes in detail and giving suggestions on some of his personal favorites. We started with the Margherita(ish) Pizza as our appetizer and it was just as good as the first time. The sauce used on the pizza is quite flavorful and more on the sweet side, which we really enjoyed. For drinks we tried the Strawberry Smash which was super refreshing and some Espresso Martinis that were absolutely delicious (and to be honest the best Espresso Martini I have had in a while). For my meal I had the Steak Frites (which if I am going to be honest I was so skeptical on getting, afraid it would be chewy), and the steak was absolutely fantastic! I get my steaks well done and it was cooked to perfection, with lots of flavor and totally melted in my mouth. My friend got the chicken skewers and she raved about how tasty they were. To finish off we had the Cannolis which was the perfect finale to our lunch! The presentation was so pretty, and a bit of an interactive experience since they give you different toppings to add. This was a perfect post Christmas brunch! We were able to get a last minute reservation and the restaurant wasn't too busy. Paradio's attention to detail is unmatched from the decor, menu, to the actual food. Our waitress was Uber attentive and checked in every 10-15 minutes. We got a seat near the kitchen where there is a window into the kitchen. We got a great view of the pizzas being made. I went with a few girlfriends so we got plates to share. we started off with the potatoes toastadas with caviar which were a divine starter. They were rich and filling. For our main course we got the crab pasta and mozzarella pizza which were both amazing and filling enough to feed 4 girls!
