The vibe was fun and whimsical for a girls day! We were greeted & seated promptly. The waitress was very attentive as were the other staff members. The food was just ok. I think we expected something Ana ing. We enjoyed our visit. The drinks were good just a little overpriced. If we go back we'll get the pizza. It looked tasty.

This was my second time at Paradiso after a visit 3 years ago left a bad taste in my mouth. I had a terrible experience and honestly didn't feel a need to come back, but my mom wanted to come here for her birthday brunch yesterday so I thought why not give it a second chance. The other reviews are spot on in terms of lack of parking-- make sure you definitely give yourself enough time to park your car if you don't plan on using valet because Bishop Arts is honestly always busy no matter what day you go. This restaurant is a great photo op for the girlies! It's super beautiful and the decor just transports you to another place- you forget you're even in Dallas, it's so gorgeous. Our server only stopped by our table to take our food/ drink orders, but honestly, don't expect any great super over-the-top service here. It's nice and all, but no one seemed to be going above and beyond or even trying to provide a super memorable experience for their customers. I don't even remember our servers name. The food was good. We had ordered the Marinated Burrata ($18) with strawberry jelly/jam which was surprisingly a yummy combo. The sourdough was burnt though (lol) not "toasted" like described on the menu. For our mains, I got the Avocado Eggs Benedict ($19) and my mom got the Shrimp Salad ($24) and both were genuinely good! My mom's salad had a super refreshing vinaigrette ( perfect for a hot day outside! ) I was a little surprised to be honest, just based on my last experience. It was a nice time and the food was good. Restaurant and bathrooms seemed clean and organized. Service- don't expect much. Good place for a fun, cute, photo op brunch in Dallas.

Grapefruit crisp with avocado and cucumber. No clue what it was called.

My sister brought me here for my birthday. The staff didn't really acknowledge it but that's ok! It late on a Tuesday and we were sat immediately since they weren't busy. Our server was nice but didn't come by enough imo, and our hostess noticed and took our drink orders at the beginning. I will say that he was very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. As always the space is beautifully decorated, with soft pinks and flowers flowing down from the bar ceiling. The food was delicious. I loved my pasta and how unique it was. Those thick noodles were cooked to perfection. My sister has a sensitive stomach and was happy that the pork chops were yummy AND didn't trigger her digestive issues. We didn't get dessert because the amount of food we ate was enough, but I told myself we can go back and enjoy it a different day. If it wasn't for the slow service it would've been 5 stars for sure.

We chose Paradiso to celebrate my mom's 65th birthday, and for a first visit, it was an overall good experience with a few notable highs and lows. First, be prepared for parking. The roads are very tight, and I ended up using valet, which is an added expense but probably the easiest option. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere transported you somewhere tropical. The décor is vibrant, colorful, and perfect for taking photos. While waiting for the rest of our party (our reservation was for 10 but we ended up with 8), the hostess kindly explained that we would be seated once everyone arrived and invited me to wait either at the outdoor high-top tables or inside at the bar. I chose outside so I could take pictures. While I was waiting, a manager (I believe his name was Gustavo) introduced himself and offered to make sure my mom received a complimentary birthday drink. That thoughtful gesture immediately stood out and set a welcoming tone for the evening. Once our full party arrived, we were seated promptly at our 6:30 reservation time. I'm very particular about cleanliness, so one thing immediately caught my attention. Although the table had been cleared, the seats still had food residue from the previous guests, and the floor beneath our table had not been swept. I asked our server, Chelsea, if it could be cleaned before we sat down. Unfortunately, the request seemed to be met with irritation rather than hospitality, and first impressions matter. The menu isn't large, but it offers enough variety without being overwhelming. Since it was our first visit, I asked for recommendations, but our server wasn't really able to guide us through the menu. As a kosher pescatarian, I ordered the Striped Sea Bass ($31) along with the Dreaming of Suze cocktail ($16). The cocktail was beautifully presented, although I requested light ice and received a full glass of ice instead. I also ordered tea, but it lacked flavor and tasted more like water. The sea bass itself left me wanting more. While there were two fillets, they were quite thin and served with the skin on. The highlight of the dish was actually the chickpea minestrone underneath the fish, which was flavorful and enjoyable. I don't mind paying premium prices for a meal, but I do expect the food to justify the cost, and this one simply didn't quite get there for me. Service also played a role in my overall rating. Our server was polite but fairly mediocre and lacked the warmth and personality that elevate a dining experience. With automatic gratuity added for larger parties, I couldn't help but feel that the service didn't reflect the required 20% tip. I always tip, but exceptional service should accompany exceptional gratuity. The reason this review is four stars instead of three is Gustavo. His attentiveness, kindness, and genuine care throughout the evening made a lasting impression. Before leaving, I made it a point to thank him personally because great hospitality deserves to be recognized. While Paradiso probably isn't a restaurant I'll return to because it doesn't align well with my dietary preferences, my mom thoroughly enjoyed celebrating her birthday there and said she would happily come back. If you're looking for a lively, tropical atmosphere with beautiful décor that's perfect for a girls' outing or celebration, Paradiso is certainly worth experiencing.

I love coming here. The ambiance is always amazing. Lots of different seating options. The service is normally on the slower end compared to other restaurants, only reason why I give it a 4/5 instead of 5/5. The food is good and the drinks are top tier. They have seasonal menus which I always look forward to. I did celebrate my birthday here and the staff was very kind and helpful to accommodate my party. I HIGHLY recommend having reservations in place

We got recommended by this place by a nearby shop when we asked for recommendations at Bishop District. I'm so glad she did because this place was picture perfect. I felt like I was in another world, I was obsessed with all the colors. The food was good but a bit on the pricey side for pasta, shrimp wasn't good or breaded. I still enjoyed everything we ordered, even the bathroom had the cutest decor. The service was very nice and even got our birthday girl a little birthday dessert. No reservation during lunch time and we got seated immediately.

Paradiso is one of the most colorful and cutest spots in the Bishop Arts District! We only got drinks on the patio and it was a great vibe! The perfect patio in town! The staff was real kind and helpful! Sad they had ran out of their frozen drink though! Will come back again

Steak and fritas $40 not worth the price

The food was okay I got the steak and fritas which was eh, my favorite thing about this whole thing was honestly the bread for the appetizer but can't go wrong with that. If you're going for the ambience or special occasion then yes very picture worthy pics can be taken here other then that wouldn't crave to eat here. Service was great, very nice waiter he was on top of serving our waters and bartender was sweet too! Overall 5.5/10

I do not adventure into Dallas too often, but had to schedule a lunch in the area. Paradiso was chosen relatively randomly, but ended up as a good choice. Leo was wonderful in helping navigate the menu. The atmosphere brought me back the the brunch spots down in Miami. My salad was good, not too flavorful, but fresh and large!

    Chicken Roulade

Beautiful atmosphere, we went for a girls night and enjoyed our cocktails and food. Started with a margarita and had the chicken roulade. My friend had the lamb skewers. Everything was flavorful and big enough to take home leftovers. Great service too!

    Milos V.

Horrible experience. Sat down and ordered a double espresso and the price was 8$. They just added 2x espresso 4$ each. I live in Miami and never in my life I paid for a double espresso more than 4.50 and the guy was convincing me that it's the normal price.

This was my first time visiting, and I chose this restaurant to celebrate my 65th birthday. I originally made a reservation for six, but later contacted the restaurant and spoke with Gustavo, who was very accommodating and added four more guests without any issue. His professionalism was one of the reasons I felt confident choosing this place, along with the great reviews. When I arrived, I was amazed by the beautiful décor, and every staff member I encountered was friendly and welcoming. Our waitress,Chelsea, started off somewhat friendly, but her attitude changed throughout the evening. She seemed irritated when my guests asked for bread or when we requested someone sweep the floor where food droppings were left from the previous party.I ordered the rigatoni, and it had a nice kick of spice -- very good. However, the service from Chelsea was disappointing. My entire party noticed that she was not welcoming, and her demeanor made us uncomfortable. Gustavo mentioned she was one of their best servers, but based on our experience, I would hate to see their worst.I'm giving a four‑star rating because Gustavo went above and beyond to make my 65th birthday feel special. I would definitely return, but I hope not to be seated in Chelsea's section again.

We started with the focaccia bread (5/5). Wow--this might be some of the best bread I've ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the dip was delicious. I usually try not to fill up on bread before the entrées arrive, but we made sure to finish every bite. We also ordered the burrata salad (5/5), which was a very generous portion and absolutely delicious. I would definitely order it again. For our entrées, my friend and I shared the chicken piccata and the bolognese. The chicken piccata was a 5/5 for me, while the bolognese was a 4.5/5. Both dishes were excellent and I'd happily order either again. This visit was a completely different experience from my first one, and I'm glad I came back. I'd love to return with my husband sometime.

I have plenty of parking in the back. Ordered the chilled crab claw appetizer and the portion was very generous. The crab meat was a bit firmer and drier than I expected, though that may simply be due to it being served chilled. Overall, we enjoyed it. For entrees, we shared the casino linguine vongole (clam pasta)- they split this on 2 plates for us, and chicken parm vodka (forgot to take a photo). Both were very good! We couldn't finish the entrees and so we put them in to-go boxes. I feel like they tasted even better the next day, lol. Service was great!

Wow. Worst service ever. Our waiter "greeted" our table with "shall I get you a bottle and five…read moreglasses?" Presumably meaning wine, but we were considering cocktails and a bit confused by the question. He said "I'll come back when you're ready," and disappeared for the first of many long absences. From the beginning it felt like we were ruining his life. He was cheerless and curt and wouldn't make eye contact with anyone. It would be more understandable if the restaurant was super busy or understaffed. But this was Monday at 6 pm. We listed a birthday on the reservation, but it wasn't acknowledged. Why bother to ask if we are celebrating? We waited for empty plates and glasses to be cleared between courses. We waited a long time for him to return so we could order a second glass of wine. Even longer for the plates to be cleared and longer still for the opportunity to order dessert...a piece of cake for the birthday girl and two after dinner drinks...but the drinks weren't picked up from the bar when the cake was delivered, and only remembered when we asked for the check. We watched him pick them up (well after the cake was consumed) on his way to leave the bill. No mention that they had been overlooked, no thank you, no good night. This was our first time at Barsotti's and it will be our last. Aside from the awful service, we had issues with the food as well. The veal was pounded paper thin and fried hard resulting in a tough, chewy texture similar to dried beef or jerky. It was dry and overcooked on two different dishes. On a more positive note, we enjoyed the fried ravioli appetizer and the redfish was fine. While our waiter was largely MIA and unpleasant when he did show up, the bus boy/assistant was gracious and attentive. Maybe he was trying to compensate for his colleague. BTW, the offensive employee was in his late 40s to mid 50s with a slight build and salt and pepper hair.
