Well, my rating is based solely on the offensive (and potentially unhealthy) residual solvent smell left in my clothing (denim jeans) after being cleaned here. All of my jeans which were cleaned here have a very noticeable petrochemical solvent smell, which doesn't seem to be going away from simply unbagging the jeans and airing them out. After wearing one pair of the jeans and the fumes wafting up from my clothing to my nose all day, I felt somewhat ill. I got some shirts cleaned here as well, and didn't really notice the same problem, perhaps because the shirt material was thinner and didn't retain the solvent smell like the jeans. But still, I do like to get my jeans dry cleaned and therefore will not be coming back to this cleaners. read more

So beyond satisfied with this place and their service!!! Tony who I believe is the manager is the nicest most respectful person ever. After researching for months, I found this place and decided to give them a shot to get my wedding dress cleaned. As you can imagine, it is very scary when it comes to trusting people to touch your wedding dress. I have heard some very bad horror stories of people taking their wedding dress to get it cleaned and it just becomes a nightmare. From the moment I walk into this place I felt comfortable and it really seems like they knew what they were doing. I took out my dress and show them exactly the areas that really needed specific cleaning and I wanted them to assure me that the rhinestones and little designs on my dress would not get ruined throughout the cleaning process. Tony was very nice and understanding and he told me that there is a chance that some of them would fall just because of the way that they were glued on. I was completely fine with that and I really respected the fact that he told me that upfront instead of just telling me that nothing would happen. He recommended the best way for me to wash my dress and I accepted his recommendation. So, if it's not a testament that I drive all the way over here from the Westside where there are no fewer than 12 cleaners up and down Westwood Blvd. alone, I don't know what is. They're masters at getting out stains that nobody else was able to (including Fazio in Brentwood), which makes it worth the trip. Service is great too -- Linda up front is super sweet, and the rest of the staff that helps up front is always helpful. Found some crazy black stains on my white wedding dress! Didn't know if it was from a permanent marker, some sort of felt pen, something black melted on it, or it was grease! I can't begin to describe how distressed I was about it, so I turned to Google in search for a place with great reviews. Found Paramout Cleaners on 3rd St, and these guys did not disappoint! I was stressed when I handed over the dress to a young man behind the counter, but he was friendly and told me he will take a few attempts to clean it! On the day I was supposed to pick it up, I thought I should call and ask about it first, so that if it was bad news, that I wasn't shocked or didn't cry infront of strangers! I called and the lovely woman who answered told me my dress looks as good as new!! I kept asking her to make sure, check the back, check the side, and each time, she obliged. "Good as new," she repeated happily! I happily drove over, picked it up and thanked them a hundred times. These guys performed a miracle for me, so much so that I am writing my first review ever. I've finally found my go-to dry cleaner/tailor. Great little establishment with a laid-back owner. I've dropped my clothes off here for dry-cleaning and hemming a few times. Quick turn-around time, good prices, and never had any issues with my clothes being ruined or anything (and I'm definitely one to obsess about my clothes). I cannot say enough good things. I took a dress to Paramount that I wore on my birthday, and let's say it was ... well ruined. I had spilled all over it throughout the night, and because of the silk shell it was impossible to cover up the spots. They told me at first glance they weren't sure if they could salvage the dress, but they would try a couple different methods to attempt to do so. When I went back to pick it up I was not optimistic, but when I saw the dress I was ecstatic - it was good as new! They had to dry clean it a few times but they got every last stain out!! This place is gouging their customers. They claim that dry cleaning cotton dress shirts is a better method of cleaning than laundering and pressing the shirts. Then they charge over $5 to dry clean the shirt. Which is outrageous. Not only is dry cleaning dress shirts more expensive, but it is an inferior method to washing (which is why almost every care label on a cotton garment says to machine wash). Every industry expert knows that water cleans 100 times better than dry cleaning solvent. Cotton is meant to be washed. It's the best way to remove collar and cuff stains, and when a cotton dress shirt is pressed while wet it comes out crisp and wrinkle free (vs a "dry" press, which leaves cotton limp). A friend of mine has been using this cleaners for several months and when I saw his bill of $90 for 16 dress shirts I was floored. Then I called and was told they dry clean the dress shirts and I couldn't believe my ears. Do your homework before checking this place out. These guys are just fantastic. They go through each piece with me and mark the specific stains. I asked them the 1st time to fold everything and not use hangars, and they've never "accidentally" forgot and hung my clothes. Everything is folded neatly and with care. The clothes are very well cleaned and pressed; and trust me, I check, because in the past with other cleaners, they would become careless after a few months, and I would only discover everything that wasn't done properly after I got home and began putting items away. My BF has been coming here for a couple years now and he's been raving about how good they are. So when I spilled my matcha tea on my favorite white tee and it didn't come out when I washed it, I was devastated. WOW. I read about here off yelp after I accidentally threw in a bright pink Lululemon bra with a light pink Lululemon jacket. The bra stained my jacket with pink splotches all over the jacket. If you know Lululemon- you are never going to get that jacket again and I went here for help.
