I've been here a few times and have been satisfied. However, on my most recent visit, I was not given a quote for the pieces of clothing that needed cleaning. When I arrived to pick them up, I was given a bill for over $100. Some of the pieces I had cleaned cost over $20/ piece, which seems insane to me... Very disappointed paid for a suit to be dry cleaned was under the impression it would be around 18-20 for a blazer button up and pants it was almost 30 and not only that after arriving home and removing their many layers of plastic wrapping and paper to reveal still dirt pants and blazer. I reviewed this place around 2 years ago after my shirts came back wrinkled and unironed. At the owners request, I took the review down and decided to give them another shot. I never made i back in until 2 days ago when I needed a white French cuff dress shirt dry cleaned and starched. When I came back then following day it had more dirt on it then when I dropped it off and no starch. Plus it was washed not dry cleaned. Heed my warning and take you clothes elsewhere. They do terrible work here and overcharge for it at that. It I didn't check their work before I left originally I would have had a dirty shirt for my friends wedding. We have been coming here about a year and have noticed that several items we brought in for dry cleaning shrank considerably (which, to state the obvious, defeats the purpose of dry cleaning). Also, items often come back feeling very stiff and starchy even though we did not request starch. This week, the woman behind the counter started treating me like a difficult customer after their seamstress wasn't properly tailoring pant legs I wanted to take in. I was cheerful and relaxed about wanting to get it right, but she came at me like a pit bull. I was taken aback, but when she agreed to send them back "for a third time" (which she kept repeating over and over), I decided to give them another shot. In a moment of clarity later that day, I thought "Why am I trusting these people to do a job they can't do and don't want to do?" (You know the definition of insanity: Repeating something over and over and expecting a different result.) So, I picked up the unfinished pants this morning and took them to a real tailor. I didn't ask for my money back. I was just happy to get out of there. read more

Terrible service and rude employees. I was quoted 21.50 for my comforter to be dry cleaned. When I picked it up they charged me 41.50 and when I asked about the price difference both workers laughed and told me they wouldn't quote that price. Do not go here. Honest folks here. My bf has been coming for years and never had a problem. With my luck, I went for my first time ever to get some grease stains off a fancy dress. Unfortunately, I guess they had a new employee or something and this person accidentally stripped the gold layer off my dress (which was the whole point of the dress). Tragic right? However, they were so honest, they themselves brought it up instead of leaving it for me to guess. Then they compensated me for the damage by cutting me a check for a $$ amount significant enough to potentially buy a new dress. Because they went above and beyond, I'd still feel comfortable taking my stuff here. Side note - my dress was probably a special case... my bf's suit jacket, bomber jacket, pants, and numerous dress shirts have all been just fine here. Dropped off a suit for dry cleaing, staff were rude and very unhelpful. There was no other customers in the store, yet they wouldn't even respond to me. When they finally did, they walked over, place a pick up receipt on the counter and walked away. I told them I have some spot to be removed and they told me to find the red tape and put them on myself. I left and half way home decided that with their poor atitude and rude behavior, I am concerned if they would do a good job, so I returned to the store (about 10 minutes later) and my suit was still on the counter, no one had taken care of it so I decided to take my suit and take my business elsewhere. I prefer "non-toxic" dry cleaning and have been bringing my clothes here for 11 years. My sweaters always look like new when I pick them up. Once they called me because I had a few moth holes in a cashmere sweater and asked me if I still wanted it cleaned. They are very nice, and I never had any problems. I picked up my cleaning from them this Friday. I wanted to check to see how they repaired a blouse I brought them. They totally botched the sewing job, it was just a little hole on the seam of a blouse. They used a totally different color thread (i asked them about this when I dropped it off and she promised it would match or come close) Not to mention they stiched more than the fabric near the seam than necessary and it was VERY messed up. The worst part was when I politly asked her about the repair she told me they didn't repair it. I held up the shirt and showed her the thread (that was already coming undone) She persisted and claimed they have not repaired it! I told her I didn't even own a needle and thread and if she didnt do it WHO DID!? She was seriously delusional. I have no idea why she stood her ground and REPEATEDLY told me they didn't do it. It was ludicris. She tried to yank out the thread (and ruin my shirt) before I grabbed it from her and told her I would take it somewhere else. I was really hoping this place would be good, but they seem to employ psycho people. I would have used them again if it wasn't for that, otherwise my clothes came out clean. read more

Pride does an excellent job. I've brought them dress shirts, suits, dresses, leather jackets, etc. and they've been nothing but excellent and completely satisfactory. They're right off third street with their own parking lot (it's a bit tricky to navigate if there are 3+ cars). The only reason they're not completely five stars is because the facilities are quite dated and although it generally doesn't affect how the end product turns out, it's a bit of an eye sore. Overall, I would definitely recommend Pride to anyone. I would feel comfortable bringing any type of garmet here. read more

This place sucks! I brought in a BRAND new white shirt ($90) with the tags still on. I wanted it dry cleaned because it had a funny scent to it. NO stains, I even looked before I brought it because it was brand new. I got it back and it has two huge yellow spots on the back of it. I brought it back again and they said they didn't do it but they'd re wash it for free. So I agreed. Came back to pick it up, one spot appears even bigger than it was previously. They won't do ANYTHING. They ruined my shirt, straight up. And won't even take responsibility for it! They just keep saying "no it happened somewhere else" HA. Where?? I brought it straight from my shopping bag to your establishment! If you expect them to help you when they RUIN your clothes - guess again! Will never return. I would give a negative 5 star rating if I could. I decided to switch Cleaners because I wasn't completely satisfied with the place I normally go to. Pride Cleaners is just a hop, skip and a jump away from my work, so in terms of convenience, it fit the bil. In terms of service, and I hate using this expression but, they suck. They completely ruined an awesome quilt my boyfriend bought just 2 months ago for my birthday-- the inside lining turned into sporadic clumps throughout, making the quilt look lumpy and cheap. This leads me to believe that they washed the quilt instead of dry cleaning it, and I made it very clear to them that it had to be dry cleaned. To add insult to injury, they had the nerve to charge me the full dry cleaning price! No refunds! The fun doesn't stop there! I put on a blouse this morning I had cleaned there as well, and had to immediately pull it (more like, rip it) off because of the musty smell! Talk about gross! AAAARGH, it's one of my nicest shirts! I'm afraid to smell or look at any of the other clothes I had dry cleaned there. God only knows what other damages are waiting for me in my closet! To end on a positive note, I suppose I should thank Pride for teaching me the importance of checking my stuff before leaving the Cleaners. I've certainly learned my lesson. This is my neighborhood dry cleaner/laundry service. I don't understand the bad reviews because I seriously LOVE this place! I've never had a bad experience here. My favorite things about Pride Cleaners is that the don't use a ton of nasty chemicals when cleaning your clothes AND their fluff and fold service is dirt cheap. They washed 15 lbs of my laundry for around $20. You just can't go wrong with that. read more
