Great place for cheesesteaks! Different from the other cheesesteak shops around San Jose in that…read morethe hoagie roll was soft! Most cheesesteak shops have a thick and chewy hoagie that sometimes gets to be bit too chewy and becomes a problem trying to take a clean bite - more often than not, it ends up with the meat falling out of the hoagie, and/or juice oozing out onto your lap. Not so here at New Jersey's! This is the first time I ate a cheesesteak with no mess, no meat falling out, no juice on my pants! They solve the problem by using a soft hoagie roll. Yet there is not the sogginess that one automatically expects, as there is little juice to be soaked up. If you think that this makes for a dry cheesesteak, it does not. The meat is tender, not dry at all, the onions and mushrooms are not limp, but the flavor is all there! Some people may prefer the thicker bun to give it a definite bite, but I do like this more refined eating experience!

Walk up to the counter to order, or sit at the bar. Find a table and enjoy multiple tv's with different programming. Booth seats and table seats, you should find a place to enjoy your food. I personally have not been to this location, but had tried them when they were just Jerseys off of Winchester blvd. A friend recommended them because he said he had the best onion rings and they make their own ranch dressing. I got the standard cheesesteak with onions and cheese. Sadly I did not really get the cheese with my cheesesteak, there was one hidden slice inside my sandwich. Definitely not what I am used to if I have a cheesesteak anywhere else. The flavor was good, I just missed the cheese :( I know people love this place, but I will probably just go back to my regular spot on Saratoga.

Finally stopped in after driving by this place for years. I had a coupon from a Willow Glen High…read morefundraiser, so it felt like the right time to check it off the list. I went on a Sunday afternoon post-church, and it was pretty slammed lots of kids and football fans. I actually had to ask someone to wipe down a table for us, so definitely a "help yourself" kind of vibe. My friend and I had a bit of a communication breakdown. I was thinking a light salad; he was thinking beer and pizza. Since they don't do wine by the glass, I ended up with a $17 mini bottle. It was okay, but $17 for a single-serve is a stretch, not exactly a wine lover's paradise. The food was a mixed bag. The pizza was definitely the star; you can tell it's made with love and not some big-box chain stuff. The salad was fresh, but the chicken was pretty bland. I didn't mind it, but my friend was not impressed. Between the wine and the lack of listening on his part, even with my coupon, the bill hit $71 for a pizza, a salad, and a tiny bottle of wine. I miss the days when a casual lunch didn't hurt the wallet so much! Still, the decor is cool and it's a solid spot for a group hangout.

The pizza is okay. They definitely don't skimp on the toppings, which I appreciate, but the dough &…read moresauce just isn't my favorite. I've had better pizza spots in Campbell, I'd rather drive to. If I want pizza this style, I'm driving to their, Jake's, Willow Glen location.

The empanada was soooo delicious, and their portions will fill you up! I forgot to get sauce like chimichurry to dip my empanada in as I normally do elsewhere at another empanada shop, but the lomo by itself was very tasty! Super clean, lots of parking, and a lot of people dining in on a Friday morning, and there's always someone ordering food, which is telling on their end! Would come back again!!

This isn't just a one-time thing--almost every time I come here, they're gone. I usually get there about 11am. Big E is much closer to my house than their sister cafe, BAE, which is why I keep trying to come here instead. But if the sausage and egg empanadas are selling out this consistently, they're clearly one of the more popular items. You would think they'd adjust and stock more of them rather than repeatedly running out. I usually end up driving to BAE anyway, where they actually have them in stock and, in my experience, the presentation is better too. I'd much rather support the location closest to me, but it's frustrating to keep making the trip only to find the same popular item sold out again. Hopefully they start stocking according to demand.
