Not impressed at all. Go to the one in Westborough, San Jose, or Santa Clara. Lets shoot straight: 1) It's filthy. After I bought my pastries, I tried to find a table to sit down and eat at. Lots of tables available but lots of leftover food & trash were on most of the tables. SEE PICTURE 1. Lots of workers behind the counter, not busy at all at the cafe, yet no one wants to clean up & take pride in providing a clean environment for the customers??? 2)The staff is totally inexperienced. The staff at McDonalds runs their joint BETTER than this place. It was 5 minutes before closing, and this young lady approached our table to let us know that the cafe was closing....as she was stuffing her mouth with a pastry in front of me. Then she walked past the dirty tables in the cafe....to walk back behind the counter to hang out with her fellow coworkers. If she wants to eat during work time, she should eat her food in a separate area/separate table/ employee room, away from customers. It's a total disappointment to see workers stuffing their face in front of you. 3) Personal hygiene is a problem here for some of them. Some are dressed on point and appropriately. But for other employees, it seems like they look like a mess. Some of them are too worried about their beret, looking cool on their head; instead, they let their hair fall in front of their face as they prep drinks in front of you. The guys and girls need to pull back the hair away from the face, or get a shorter haircut, or wear a hair net to prevent your hair falling in front of your face as you prep the drinks. It's unsanitary. Seriously, this cafe has potential but it needs lots of improvement in 1) providing a clean environment for customers to eat, 2) training the staff about proper behavior in front of customers, and 3) educating the staff about personal hygiene & appearance because it's the APPEARANCE & CUSTOMER SERVICE of your front counter staff that REFLECT YOUR STORE. read more

Love Paris Baguette, and glad it's in my neighborhood now... Soft opening today, so I picked up some pastries for myself and some friends. Have yet to taste it, but they look super fresh and piping hot from the oven. The back of this Paris Baguette locations shows off the entire kitchen so you can see all the action behind the scenes. Nice remodel as well... Looks like all the others (ie, Palo Alto, and SSF). Has some covered outdoor seating as well. Took over the old Children's Place clothing store. 3.5 I went here for a meeting after we left Starbucks because there was way too much noise caused by the construction. Personally, I thought it was really nice because there's an outside seating but it's still part of the store. I'm assuming that they open the windows when it's hot since the windows were huge and seemingly moveable. My first thought was that this was a huge coffee shop! They also have tasty baked goods on the side. I ordered an iced caramel latte with an 18 inch sausage wrapped in bread. The iced caramel latte was all right. At first, it was bland but noticed that most of the caramel flavoring was at the bottom. All I had to do was stir it and it was decent. The sausage tasted kind of weird. This Paris is definitely better than the one in Westborough! A lot roomier so in my preference, better space to sit and study while I enjoy their pastries! If you've never been to Paris Baguette, this place basically sells adorable and awesome to look at pastries and bakeries. Their stuff is slightly overpriced compared to other bakery store like Sheng Kee. If this is your first visit, these are me recommendations: * Paris Pudding in a bottle * Cronuts * Castella ( Japanese Cheese/sponge cake ) Also this place seems to never run out of the cronuts, which is awesome because the other Paris usually runs out. Beautiful pastries, average taste. I've been to a few Paris Baguette locations, but it had been a while and this was my first time at this location. I saw some pastries I had never seen before so I grabbed a few to go. I've forgotten the exact name of each but here are my thoughts: Matcha croissant - This caught my eye first! Half dipped in matcha white chocolate and a matcha cream filling, I thought this would be the best! Unfortunately, the cream fell short of flavor and took away more than added to the pastry. The matcha white chocolate parts were good though. Chocolate swirl croissant - just a chocolate croissant that looks stripy, but it's not very chocolately. Potato cheese balls - I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THESE but the cheese they use reminds me of pimiento nacho cheese which gives off a cheap vibe. This probably would have been better warmed up. Coffee cream cronut - I grabbed the last one and was fooled. I thought I grabbed a coffee cream cronut, but it was vanilla. This was pretty good but I was annoyed about not getting what I chose. Why was this in the wrong spot? Service is nice enough, but the person who helped us was very slow and messed up several times while ringing up our order. I think she was training but she seemed like she didn't receive any prior training at all. I'm not sure if Paris Baguette became less quality or if it's just this location. Paris Baguette always has a fantastic display of pastries and other sweet treats. I stopped by here twice when I was in the area. This particular location is pretty nice and large with a generous amount of seating. The first time I came in, it was a little later in the evening around 9pm so it was pretty much slim pickings as far as food goes. Some of the items sitting out didn't look too fresh or appealing but the stuff I got tasted just fine. The second time I came around was around 10 in the morning and the place was pretty packed with diners but not too many people in line. This time there were plenty of fresh items sitting out so I grabbed a whole bunch of pastries and also ordered a smoothie. As I was in a time crunch (trying to catch a flight at SFO), ordering the smoothie was a bad move. It took as long as 10 minutes for them to get the smoothie to me...but like I said earlier, there weren't that many people in line so I wasn't too impressed with them taking so long for something as simple as a smoothie. Overall though this is a good place to stop by after doing some food shopping at Safeway or Trader Joe's to grab a bite to eat. read more

Went to Millbrae visiting my mom and thought to stop by PB to grab some pastries, and I really regretted my decision. First of all the shelves were 1/2 empty; there were not many selections. I thought it must be due to COVID-19 so the selections and quantities are limited. However, while waiting in line I looked over the counter and saw there were shelves/racks of bread/pastries sitting on the racks. It was the longest wait I've ever experienced at PB. Since its opening in Palo Alto 10+ years ago, it's been my go to place for sandwich/bread/pastries so I've been to all its Bay Area stores. There was only one person at cash register. I debated whether to stay or leave because the line wasn't moving. When it was my term, I asked the cashier why aren't they bring out those pastries in the back/kitchen. The white lady standing behind the cashier overheard my conversation turned around and said "Can't you see there are only three of us here and we will get to it when we have time." I was thinking because you're moving at snail pace taking your sweet time that's why nothing gets done. Later I talked to my sister who lives in Millbrae about my experience at PB. She said "They have the worst customer service. The place is filthy and service is slow. Me and my friends have stopped going there long time ago." It's really sad to see this store has gone down hill like this and its corporate does nothing about it. I'm glad I don't live in Millbrae. I still visit its Dublin store where people are friendly and place is nicely kept. read more

I've been to almost every PB in the Bay. This PB is by far the most specious with plenty of seating. The pastries are always good. Some locations have more variety than others. I'm a fan of the strawberry pudding. They only had two flavors which were vanilla and strawberry. Now they added 2 more flavors: Cappuccino, and Mango Pudding. I'm a fan of PB and I always try different cake, dessert, breads or pastries each time I go to PB. read more

9AM in the morning on a Friday. Lines were around the rope. Almost nothing to choose from in the bakery counter. Most of the stuff were already gone. 3.5 stars I'm a big fan of desserts and is always looking for some after dinner. I've been to Paris Baguette before and decided to check out the one in Millbrae. They were closing soon, but still had a decent selection left. I think they were trying to get rid of all the pastries because they were cutting up some of them and setting them out as samples. After trying most (okay, all) of them, I settled on a strawberry cronut and a two bite tart. The two bite tart was really good. Perfect size for if you just want to satisfy a sweets craving. It was a flaky pastry with a little bit of custard and 2 pieces of fruit. The strawberry cronut was pretty good too. I liked how sweet it was, and the pastry was nice and flaky, but it was super greasy, and I felt that way about most of the samples that they had out too. That's why the dropped stars. I'm already feeling bad about eating sugar that late at night, but I don't wanna taste the fat I'm eating either. Overall though, it's could be a good place to hang out, and they have free wi-fi as well. i'll probably come back earlier and give it a second chance to see what other pastries that have. read more

We ordered the Xmas cake on 12/17/2021 to pick up on 12/24/2021. When we got to the store, the staff searched for a while and told us the cakes were sold out. He said oh we had 50 orders today, we just missed yours without an apology . Having Xmas cake during Xmas is our tradition. He hoped we could understand because the store has a large volume today so it was okay to ignore our order request..... Later after we said why not just making one now since the store is still open. He then said it would be 15-20 mins and you could get a fresh one :(. He made us feel like we took some advantage of waiting here for them to make our pre-ordered cake.... As a loyal customer here, I had a really bad experience today. It also ruined my Xmas eve too. I think Xmas cake orders are always the highest for Paris Baguette. The service at this location is terrible. I came here to pick up a $5 DoorDash order for a customer and I couldn't get service for 10-15 minutes. I even had to call them out for some attention and they just stare and continue doing their own thing. They finally acknowledge me after waiting a long time. Then they say the things the person order we're all out. The customer wanted to refund the order completely, but the workers gave me crap about it. Like what? Cancelled the order and decided to go pick something up to eat because I was getting hungry. Biggest mistake I've made, the line had about 3 people in front of me, but took 30 mins just for a pastry. They then told me to wait after I paid so that they can give me more crap about the DoorDash order. Like I understand 2 people running the stand is difficult, but I work at in n out with crazy long lines super short staff because of COVID, and I still have the decency to acknowledge people, and not give them crap just cause I'm stressed. Please train your employees more. Don't come to this store if you don't want to get yelled at by the cashier. read more

I've purchased multiple cakes for celebrations from Paris Baguette and all of them were good, their blueberry and green tea chiffon, chocolate, red velvet, cheese cake, and strawberry cream cakes. These cakes never disappoint they're always so light/fluffy and not too heavy, perfect for my palette and delicious. More like 3.5 stars. Prime location in the Millbrae area. It's located a few doors down from Trader Joe's and across from the huge Safeway. The pastries are good like in most PBs, but the iced salted caramel mocha is amazing. Not too sweet, but not too salty either. Just a perfect blend of both worlds. It has a smooth taste. A few must haves: -Iced Salted Caramel Mocha -Raspberry Cream Cheese Filled Pastry -Sweet Cream Cheese Rice Donut -Royal Pudding Service is lacking. No one greets you when you come in and I almost bumped into one of the employees and not a word from him. When I got my iced coffee, I noticed that I got a small one even though I ordered a medium size. Apparently, whoever rang me up defaulted to a small coffee even though that's not what I asked for. I am an old customer of Paris Baguette, I found that Maria in your store has stolen money many times. Several times I bought something in cash, Maria didn't print the receipt and didn't put the cash in the cashier. She then quietly put the money into the pocket of her own pants. My friend once told me that when he was shopping at Paris Baguette in South San Francisco, he found that Maria had used this method to steal money. I had a unhappy experience today in a bakery shop that I love to go to. Well, what happened is, when I first walked in, not much people were there. That didn't mean anything to me, so I just mind my own business. I never see the cheese and ham croissant since I first went there, so I got 2 one bite "bread," and a curry "bread." Okay, now my unfortunate and unhappy experience began. Since there are no one in line, I went forward and pay for it. After I paid, the cashier did not ask me if I need a bag or not. Okay, that's fine! That just fine! The following is just my own problem, I dropped one of the one bite "bread" on the grand, since I stack it together. The design of the one bite box is not good for one to hold if one has two or more of it. The only problem of the service, workers just stare at me, they said none word, they did nothing, and they focus on their work again. So I clean that up, and still, no one talk about anything with it. If you tell me what is the problem of the service? Well, let me tell you that! A place that is serving food must keep clean, and what happen today if I walk away? Anyway, I hope worker from there should at lease say something like they will handle it, or if they can just come and clean it up. But, no, they don't, that was really upset me. The SSF site takes the lazy way out and puts it on regular bread. My favorite cake is the green tea chiffon. I prefer desserts that are not overly sweet. Favorite pastries- many, like chocochip twist, choux and fruit pastries. Easier to name the ones I didn't like - kouign amann and chocolate bread. read more

I met friends after sitting down with coffee and she went to order her sandwich, but in 5 mins, she was called to pick up. I went to the Lady and asked , she told me I'm no.15 and my friend is no.7, so I have to wait. (But I came and ordered 15mins before my friend) I then, went to the manager and asked, My order is at 9:40am, until 10:05, still not ready ?? She explained the machine didn't print the order, and this is not the first time in Paris Baguette, Millbrae store, Hope they can replace their ordering equipment. I always enjoy myself some PB (per my Cambridge PB - I always get something there when I go to work). So I was surprise and delighted at the sight of a Paris Baguette right here in Millbrae. I saw the review and I'm a bit hesitant but nothing can keep me from my baked goods. So the food is still the same. Still very good. This place is definitely quite diverse. Good flow layout so you're not bumping into eachother (ie NY PB). So many more pastry that I haven't had before, so excited to try them all. For the most part everything had tasted good-fine. But the check out and drink process is a drag. Mind you the customer flow is steady but you hit the traffic jam at the check out on some days when they are training new people. For the most part I'm ok with it but it take way too long. They take a good while before deciding to call in the 2nd cashier. Don't do that in the morning, people have to get to work you know. I am not taking point off for this. Point off for drinks. First time had a very weird green tea latte. Everything about it just taste uber weird. Not disgusting but not good for the price, end up drinking three sips and had to toss. Good bye money. It was just one guy in the afternoon ringing and making drink. Second time, ordered the orange velvet ice tea (absolutely amazing at the Cambridge, Ma location . Its so popular there they run out of it all the damn time qq). Here I got it and no. Just no. There is one very nice lady making hot latte drink today, the drink order was piling up so she gave my drink order to someone who seem to be in charge... I can see them fumbling around with my drink and lord I am so sad when I finally taste it. So not very good. Very unfortunate since its my favorite drink in PB in general. It have a hint of orange but its literally just cream threw on top of tea not at all mix correctly. Its super bitter tea and cream. Me mixing the cream now does not help, just taste quite blech. They should really train certain people to make the drink on the menu. Or not have it on the menu at all. One customer ask about fog latte and ask if its with cream or milk and the boss lady (I presume) just said no its latte....um ok. I am just so sad I thought I could reunite with my orange velvet ice tea but I guess I have to find some other PB. Wifi does not work here, even though the staff states otherwise. I've had my drink orders forgotten and they try to make it up to me by upsizing it when it comes out 15 minutes later... But I don't want a larger drink. Just get it out in a reasonable amount of time. This has happened not once but twice, and they weren't particularly busy on either occasion! The only redeeming qualities are the convenient location and that the pastries are not bad. read more
