I can say this after practicing architecture for 25 years and have designed and built many restaurant in So Cal. I only say this because i have read a review that implies they fell short which couldn't be further from the truth! You cant make everyone happy but you sure have made my family happy and many others in Monrovia. Again Alex great job! Looking forward to many more positive review and eating these amazing pastries. This is no small undertaking by no means. As an architect who has designed and built many restaurants in Southern California, and having a lot of knowledge in this field. I would like to also say that the owner has no idea that I am doing this. This is only out of my kind heart after really thinking about how difficult it must be in the pressure that the owners must under. Its only been open for two months and experiencing some of the negative comments regarding the customer service, I could assure you the customer service in which some people describe is not the owners personal views. If you have experienced any type of negative experiences with the owner or staff understand that nobody is perfect and sometimes we don't understand some of the pressure that one may be under at that particular time, so I'm asking you again to please give Alex and Oksana another opportunity to show you how extremely passionate they are about their business. Please remember this is somebody's dream and passion and the last thing they wanna see is negative comments about their business and I completely understand that I know how difficult it is to make everybody happy all the time, especially in the hospitality business but I hate to see this amazing business that takes so much pride in their pastries, which is clearly apparent. After 2+ years of anticipation, Paris Baguette in Downtown Monrovia has finally opened its doors on 10.23.2024. While the long wait tested all of our patience, the result is a charming bakery-cafe that lives up to its reputation and standard. The interior is inviting, with a cozy and modern ambiance, making it a great spot to unwind and hangout. The menu offers a delightful selection of breads, pastries, and beverages, each crafted with care and good quality ingredients. The croissants, egg tarts and cakes are my standout favorites, showcasing the brand's signature blend of French elegance ambiance and approachable flavors. This franchise cafe was a total mess and a slap in the face to the brand. The tables were gross, covered in crumbs and sticky gunk, making it impossible to sit without cringing. The staff? Rude, lazy, and didn't care one bit about helping anyone. Worst of all, flies were chilling on the pastries like it was their personal buffet, and the employees just stood there doing nothing. No manager was around to deal with the chaos either. This place is a health hazard, and the health department needs to shut it down until it's fixed. Corporate's gotta step up too--this franchise is dragging their name through the mud. I'm never coming back, and you should skip this dump unless they get their act together. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at this Paris Baguette Myrtle Monrovia. The store felt like it was already closing, and the young male server who assisted me was extremely dismissive, rude, and abrupt. There was no greeting, no patience, and no basic courtesy--just an attitude that made me feel like I was an inconvenience. Customer service is just as important as the food, and unfortunately, this experience fell far below expectations. I strongly suggest better training on professionalism, communication, and customer engagement, especially for staff working the front counter. My wife and I visited Monrovia for the first time, and Paris Baguette made it unforgettable. The croissant and coffee were absolutely excellent, easily 5 out of 5. The coffee shop itself had such a romantic feel, and the food and ambiance were easily 5 out of 5. But the customer service, especially from the owner, Alex, was beyond amazing. I would honestly give it 10 out of 5. It was the best customer service I have received in a decade. I opened up this yelp account to write a positive review for this place :). Just walked in this late afternoon and had a good experience here. The people in the front today were very friendly to me and gave us our cake slice and packed our pastries with a smile. Not to mention that the pastries were also very yummy and the bakery had some good indie music playing inside while we waited for our coffees.
