If you like your matcha more on the sweet side - Paris Baguette is a pretty good option ! They cannot customize, sadly. I like my matcha more on the bitter side - closer to the original tea flavor. Service was excellent.

A photo of their philosophy! Really well executed too.

This spot is cute little bakery cafe with AC and Wi-Fi.The pastries are fresh, buttery, and not too sweet. I'm obsessed with the cream bread and garlic baguette -- they sell out fast so go early. Coffee is not bad too. Staff are friendly and the seating is clean and almost always available, perfect for meeting a friend or getting work done.

Service was very slow. I got here at about 8:20 in the morning on a Thursday and there was a line of maybe 4 customers. One cashier behind the order counter who is also making the drinks. No clean trays were available. Shelves were quite empty. One person "carefully" putting out the pastries from a rolling cart. The person filling the shelves decided to help at the counter due to the line. I can see the pastry I want on the rolling cart that got moved and parked behind an employee-only area. Seeing how busy they were, I patiently waited, while customers keep coming in, to ask for a tray. By then I probably already waited about close to 10 minutes. Then I patiently waited for another 10 minutes or so after all those customers had been served to get my desired pastry. It was the slowest service I've experienced at a PB. Please, having at least one cashier AND one barista AND one floater at all times.

This is a pretty good bakery store in old town Monrovia. The ambiance is great, indoor seating is comfortable and spacious. Just like other Paris baguettes stores, the bakery has lot of variety items to choose from. The cold sandwiches are quite expensive. Overall this is a nice spot to hang around.

First time visiting this location. They had friendly, quick service, no line on a Monday afternoon. It was clean & spacious with indoor seating. Great place to relax & hang out with friends. There are so many delicious pastries (savory & sweet), bread, donuts, cakes, macarons & fruit tarts to choose from. Make sure you sign up for their rewards program. I picked up my free birthday slice of cake. The chocolate hazelnut cake with Nutella was divine. The cake was spongy, moist and soft & it went well with Nutella. Can't wait to return to try more items on the menu! There's street parking outside the store or by the park and library.

I love this Paris Baguette. It's big and spacious, with lots of tables, and they have a wide variety of pastries. It's super clean and well-organized, and the ambiance is nice. There's parking is in front. They offer more pastry and cake options, and the drink menu is well-organized. The customer service is great, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The pastries don't have any food flies around them. I come in here to get cakes and pastries for my friends and family. Keep it up Paris baguette.

Paris Baguette is a nice, quaint bakery café in Old Town Monrovia, one of my favorite haunts. I found this spot thanks to my daughter's quest for a better place to study. (Like my home is that bad? Well, maybe if you count the cat who insists on sitting in her lap while she does homework...) "Should I check this place out?" Yes. We gave it a try because it had good buzz as both a study friendly café and a bakery worth cheating your diet for. Win-win. Study Haven in Old Town It's right across from the Monrovia Library Park, super convenient. I recently went with my mom, sister, and brother. Family field trip for caffeine and carbs. The atmosphere hit right away: clean, calm, and welcoming. The interior isn't huge, but there's enough seating, plus a nice window view of the park for people-watching. Despite being a chain, it blends perfectly with the Old Town vibe. Cozy Vibes and Plugs Everywhere The vibe is mellow, just background chatter and music, never overwhelming. Best part? Outlets everywhere. Perfect for laptops, phones, or pretending you're working while scrolling TikTok. Wi-Fi is solid too, so my daughter jumped right into her homework groove. I just sat back, relaxed, and tried not to think about how she vetoed our house for this. Honestly though, the place just feels good, tidy, well-kept, and easy to hang out in. Sweet Treats (and Allergy-Friendly Touches) We couldn't resist the pastry case. I went with the Pecan Tart and the Pineapple Brûlée Pastry. The pineapple one was a total showstopper. Flaky, custardy, topped with brûléed pineapple. First bite? Crunchy, creamy, fruity zing. Tasted like vacation and comfort food had a baby. The pecan tart was cozy and classic! Like mini pecan pie but with a perfect buttery shell. Both were excellent cheat-day choices. The real MVP though? Allergen labels. Every pastry lists common allergens. Huge deal for me because I've got a kid with allergies. It takes so much stress out of picking treats when you can just check the tag. Not many bakeries bother, so big points for that. Final Thoughts Our original visit turned a "just do homework somewhere" errand into a fun little outing. My daughter got her quiet study time (sugar-powered, obviously), and I got my cheat day pastries with the fam. Peaceful vibe, lots of plugs, good Wi-Fi, and killer desserts, this place stands out! All in all, Paris Baguette is perfect for both productivity and indulgence. You can set up with a laptop, knock out work, and reward yourself with something sweet. Lighthearted, friendly, and great tasting. This café just made my list of cheat-day go-tos and study spots. Would we come back? Absolutely. My daughter might even "suddenly" have extra homework just to get us back here and I'll be right behind her for another pecan tart. All in all, Paris Baguette is perfect for both productivity and indulgence. You can set up with a laptop, knock out work, and reward yourself with something sweet. Lighthearted, friendly, and good tasting. This café just made my list of cheat-day go-tos and study spots. Good for dates? Totally. Chill vibe, pretty pastries, indoor/outdoor seating, and Myrtle Ave people-watching. It's low-pressure but still impressive. Chill vibes and sugar instead of awkward silence and BBQ smoke. The other good tidbit is that pets are not allowed, otherwise you might find my daughter with a cat still sitting on her lap while studying in that place!

Paris Baguette has become very popular and growing fast quickly for the taste of French pastry and French style bread. My wife and I enjoy a good French pastry depend where we get it. This our first time at Paris Baguette in Monrovia. When step in we're surprise the smell of the pastry right away and see many kind of French pastry they have in the store.

Was excited to finally come to the Monrovia location since I constantly visit the Arcadia store. This place though, not sure how to describe it. When I'm in Arcadia shop and super excited and want everything out of the case. Monrovia, so empty and it's 930 am on a Saturday. Literally walked around a couple times and struggled to find inspiration. The items I did grab were delicious, as always, but it just felt like a struggle here. Not sure what's happening here as this experience reflects other reviews on here. I'll try and give it one more chance though.

This is the 3rd time ive tried to go here and each time is worse than the last... everything always looks so good and its like none of the pastries are fresh. Last time I had a beyond stale cinnamon twist and this time we spent almost $20 for 2 pieces of cake for them to be totally dry and tasteless. Completely disappointing!

The manager or owner had the BEST customer service and everything was fresh and delicious. The restaurant was clean as well. Thank you!

Service needs to be worked on Stephanie was quite rude she was rushing us to help the next customer when we were waiting for our food to be warmed. It's not what she was doing it's how she did it that needs work. Also there's a sign for pick up over on the far right of the counter and you can't see it unless you looked up which is where they put the food you need to tell customers this we don't know. Spoke to the owner she's going to address this hoping our next experience can be 5 stars

Super excited because the mini fruit tarts are going to look amazing on my newly purchased dessert tray! I was feeling a bit sleepy so I decided to fuel up & eat breakfast while I was there. I ordered a Vanilla Latte & a side order of 3 eggs + Sausage Links. If you're a big eater and want the additional potatoes and pancakes, I recommend paying a few dollars more and ordering the Breakfast platter. The Vanilla Latte came in a paper cup (a bit bummed out by not being able to take a more IG worthy picture of that), but it actually tasted really good! Same with the sausage links - it was probably one of the best tasting ones I've had for breakfast in a while. Aside from their wide selection of pastries and food options, their customer service was phenomenal. Every customer that walked through the door was greeted upon arrival and thanked on their way out. The restaurant was very clean and the cakes looked so beautiful behind the glass case. I had a pleasant experience today at Merengue Bakery & Cafe and can't wait to come back soon to try a slice of their chocolate cake!

Sadly, one employee can quickly change that, and I'm writing this in hopes that management helps them better understand how to properly deal with each individual situation. My husband and I go in for drinks and food, anywhere from 3-5 times a week, and we gladly leave tips in the jars, because up until today, we had nothing but great experiences. Today at about noon, I went in and ordered at the register. I ordered my husband's large drink, and order my REGULAR drink, paid for an ADDED shot, and asked if it could be placed in a large cup instead of regular cup, with extra ice. No issues ordering and paying. Even left a tip in their jars. I move over to wait for my drink and the girl making the drinks (short curly hair) finds an issue with me asking for a large cup and tells me that is an upcharge because it's more plastic and it's an inventory issue, and I'd have to pay for a large drink. Really? At first I think that perhaps she's under the impression that I want more of the drink or extra ice on the side perhaps? so I proceed to explain to her that I want the same amount that comes with my regular drink, but just want extra ice and space for my added shot that was paid for, hence the larger cup. She refused to budge and tells me it doesn't matter, that I have to pay for a large, even though I had already paid and the girl taking my order has no issue with this. Her attitude towards the situation was so bizarre and I wonder if her inability to process what I was explaining is what caused her to be so "firm" on this, but I left feeling so disappointed and frankly, not sure if I want to return. Possibly losing a customer over what you think is a 50cent "thievery" seems like bad business. UPDATE: within minutes of the review posting, Isaiah, the CEO personally called me to apologize for the poor experience and promised to look into this to make sure it doesn't happen again. He was also confused, since he assured me that is in no way company policy, and offered to void today's transaction. Thank you for making us feel heard.
