This place is cute. They had a wide variety of baked goods and tea & coffee latte choices. I hope to make it one day early enough to try their lattes. Tried it for the first time at 567 7th Avenue in Manhattan and I liked it so much that I had to bring my wife to try in the Rego Park location and it didn't disappoint at all, excellent service, fresh food, fresh pastries and great coffee, I would recommend Paris Baguette. read more

I asked her to put it in two separate bags and I was told no. But if I had her ring it up twice it would've been different?? Worst customer service ever. Walked into Paris baguette at 6:57am (their doors were unlocked and 4 employees visibly working or standing around) told the girl I wanted to buy a cake. She says their open time is 7am but she'll go ahead and help me. As I tell her what cake I want she tells me again they open at 7am. So I ask "do you want me to walk out and wait 3 minutes?" Girl responds with "no ill help you I just wanted to let you know our hours" Walked out. Never shopping at that baguette again. There's so many paris baguettes I don't need the hassle. Been living in Rego for 10 years and never had such an attitude from local business. Will definitely be telling all my neighbors not to shop here. I've been to Paris Baguettes in Flushing and in the city - this one pales in comparison. Their trays are dirty, filled with pastry flakes and cream (isn't that how rodents and bugs get there?) And mind you, I went in there before work in the morning...meaning they weren't cleaned overnight. It wasn't as if I went there at the end of the day. I've had their iced coffee on several occasions, it tastes nothing like the iced coffee made at other locations. I ordered a large coffee once, and was given a small. When I told them I really wanted the large they nickeled and dimed me even though they made the mistake. They charged me the extra $0.50 and gave me another iced coffee but what happened to the small coffee? They just threw it out? I avoid this place now. There are too many places to get my iced coffee around here to deal with stingy shops. read more

I've been to several Paris Baguettes in Queens and in the city. This bakery opened up in what used to be Game Stop. Originally the sign said Paris Baguette Cafe, so I expected an "express" version of the store. But it's not! It's actually very long and they have a huge back section where they bake their goods Fresh. So the pastries are amazing and there's usually a large selection, but it all depends on what time you go. I've been here a few times since they first opened. If you go really early in the AM like at 8AM, there isn't much out because they're still baking them. If you go around lunch time and early afternoon, then there's a ton of variety. If you go after 5PM then the selection kind of starts to disappear as people are buying them on their way home. Regarding drinks, this is where I see the slow down in the line. This is due to lack of training, it seems most staff don't know how to make all the drinks. I see them switch baristas or ask someone else how to make a specific drink. Make sure you check your receipt or look at the register when they ring you up! This is where I almost got charged for an entire Castelle loaf ($18) vs the single slice of Castelle I had. Of course it was a new trainee that rung me up because I asked him, um I only bought a slice how did it ring up to be $18? He didn't get it and had to ask his supervisor what he did wrong. After he rung me up, he got sent to the back to bring out more goods. I think once they get the training down and their staff are no longer "new" the line will get shorter and it'll be faster. The French outpost finally came to Rego this past year. A lot of hype was surrounding this place. I have been to the one on Northern a few times and it was ok. They have a collection cakes and other treats. Coffee is a staple here , but so is all the other places in the area. Everyone is seemingly selling coffee and making a killing. I tried out this place but their stuff is overpriced and not very much to pick from . Their green tea sponge cake is pretty good though. Still would rather get stuff from Martha's on Austin, they have a bigger variety and more setting. read more

Love this bakery, my go to now for all things baked and desserts. Came in around 10:30 AM, not crowded but still a good amount of people going in and out. So many baked goods to choose from and they all looked delicious. I tried the mozzarella onion bread and wow it was sooo good. I also had the sweet potato roll which was delicious, sweet and flakey. Their pain au chocolat was super flakey and buttery, best i've ever had. The pastries were cheap too, most of what I got ranged from 2-4$. Not bad at all and it's all fresh! The service was good. It was a nice visit. I got my green tea cake for my uncle's birthday. I also got several pastries and it was delicious. I have to say, the pastries they had here were different than other location I've gone to (Flushing, etc.) However, they had to keep checking if they had any cake in the back in order to sell it to you. I love that this spot opened up so close to home and perfectly on my way to work! I swing by for coffee and pastry often. Everyone is very friendly and it's a wonderful addition to the coffee-lacking neighborhood. One suggestion: wooden stirrers please! They're better for the environment and it takes way too long to try to open individual plastic wrappers over the plastic stirrers you have now. Win win for all! Please consider it. I have a very bad experience with their horrible service and bad attitude to the customers, when I ordered the coffee, the cashier looked at me and didnt say anything, I said " I want a small coffee", he just put the order on the computer and looked at me very strang and unhappy and said " something else?", I said no, his unhappy face just turn black, scream me like " ur change" and put the money on the desk, i said "what is ur attitude?" I came to this location for the first time as I was in the neighborhood and noticed they were right next door from where I was working this week and I truly love everything they make but I just had the most terrible experience. Bought a cup of regular coffee among pastries and other hot drinks, while I was adding sugar to my coffee, I accidentally dropped the coffee. Of course there was coffee all over. After all was cleaned up, I went back to the counter to order a second cup again and I couldn't believe the cashier told me I had to pay for the coffee again because it was not their fault I dropped it. I understand it's a business but everything it's not about the money. I paid for the second cup because the $2.12 was not worth an argument. Terrible customer experience. read more

I don't really agree with the other reviews about how this location has a variety of pastries. Compared to their other locations this one is really lacking. I've came here twice and both times they had very few selections and the first time I went in I had asked for a small hot salted caramel latte, but after I got my receipt, I noticed I was charged a large iced caramel latte. I honestly didn't care just as long as I was given what I was charged, but in the end I got a small. The barista was nice about the mistake and remade it, but it would've been nice if the cashier girl listened and charged accordingly because I was talking to both of them when I ordered. Unfortunately, I couldn't even taste the salted caramel syrup and I had to add sugar and vanilla extract to make it taste sweet. I thought I could make a better and I'm still in training at my store because it was basically a cappuccino with all that foam. At the time I also purchased a chocolate chip scone, and it was so crumbly and didn't really taste like anything except for the areas with chocolate that faintly tasted like chocolate. I've been to other locations and never had a pastry I didn't like so this was a first. But I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that it's a new location which is why I'm giving them 3 stars read more

I walked into this Rego Park Paris Baguette on Sunday November 29 around 4pm and bought a bunch of pastries that did not taste very fresh. But what I wanted to say is this cashier (a guy, not too tall, wearing glasses) did not seem to feel like saying "hi" or "thank you" at all. Basically he said nothing other than the total amount. I don't know if he was daydreaming or what but that seemed rude to me. He did smile to his coworker who said something funny to him so he was likely not daydreaming. And I had said hi (although in a low voice) to begin with and nodded my head after he handed me the bag of pastries, so he wasn't facing a rude of difficult customer at all. Just don't work in the service industry if you feel you should have this kind of attitude to customers instead of basic etiquette! read more

The pastries and cakes at Paris Baguette are delicious! The ingredients are all listed, which helps when you have a child who is allergic to everything. The price of the pastries are affordable (we usually get 2 pastries each). It's convenient and quick, an easy stop on the way to work. Great addition to the neighborhood! read more
