Food was fair to average but super expensive my 12 year old and their friend joined me there after a school canteen..... they ordered a grilled chicken salad and a cheeseburger deluxe and two cokes and they had to have THEIR OWN CHECK... it was not permitted that their order be on the same check my other son and I were on .... ok ...... we had hungry man breakfast and a grilled cheese deluxe and two cokes...... here is were it gets messed up..... my bill was $20 and are you sitting down? ....the boys bill was $44 now if you are telling me they are not up-charging..... better yet.... gouging the kids you are mistaking I gladly pId my check left NO GRATUITY and even though I live a half mile from the diner and my kids have many more events to come .....I WILL NOT RETURN AGAIN IN THIS LIFETIME THAT WAS VWEY INFARE OH AND ANOTHER KID HAD A MILk-SHAKE. $8 McDonalds across the street would have been. Upon entering the hostess was going to seat us in an area where there were a whole group of children and teenagers, I kindly asked her if we could sit at a different table, she instantly came up with an excuse saying something like that section was busy or something to that extent. She then slammed the menus down on the table we had requested. And everybody in the section looked up at us. The vibe felt very awkward. The owner/manager and people there kept on staring at us, we were the only minorities in the diner, everybody in the diner was Caucasian, which is something I don't usually pay attention to, but in this case it was made apparent that the establishment was not comfortable with us being there, hence the staring and being treated differently. A couple had entered not to long after us and got seated in the same section as us, the same section we requested that was supposedly "busy." The only good thing was that the food was good, we had ordered the Brooklyn burger, Western burger and a tuna wrap. The burgers were good, the fries and onion rings were average, but okay. But being stared at for being a certain ethnicity, that's the worse feeling and most uncomfortable feeling. We couldn't budge or take a bite without feeling all the eyes on us. I didn't bow my head and ignore it I stared back, so they knew I was aware of the staring. When I went to the front to pay, the owner gave me such an attitude because the waitress had not physically given me the bill yet, meanwhile the table next to us had just gotten up and went to go pay without the waitress giving them the bill either, and the owner simply said to them, no problem I'll get it for you right away, but with us it was an attitude and a response of why did you get up without the bill being handed to you first. So finally I paid and went to go take a business card, and the owner swung his head all the way around the counter to see what I was taking, I thought to myself geez this is ridiculous, and quickly left. Sadly I have to agree with earlier posts referring to the rudeness of the front managers. They are absolutely disrespectful and they would be wise to realize that some of us understand the Greek language too. Unfortunate since the food is usually quite excellent but it can't make up for the blatant disregard to behave and speak decently to both staff and customers. read more

Every time I come here, as I should mention I go to school up the street. Not once has someone has asked me how my day was. I've been here at least 10 times and they treat my company rudely because we appear as teenagers. I've had 7 different waiters and each one was ruder than the last. Good is awesome. Our first visit to this diner was an awful experience. We arrived about 8:15pm on this Friday evening. The menu had a large variety of what appeared to be very tasty entrees. My partner ordered the Roumanian Skirt Steak and I ordered the Viennese Grilled Salmon. Water was brought to our table followed by bowls of delicious chicken noodle soup which was included with our entrees. I pointed out to the waitress that she forgot to bring out the iced tea that my partner had ordered. She brought the iced tea which included a floating lemon wedge with a nasty black hair embedded in it. I pointed this out and she apologized. Next came our salads. I had ordered a Greek style salad with my entree. The salad that I received was a garden salad with a nasty dressing with yellow cheese bits floating in it. I asked the waitress what it was and she told me that it was the dressing that they serve when someone asks for a Greek salad with their entree. I told her that at their sister location on route 46 that a Greek salad comes with feta cheese, olives and a stuffed grape leaf. After she left, a manager came over to the table and asked if everything was OK. I told her about the hair in the lemon and the Greek salad question. She said that our waitress clearly made me an incorrect salad and that she would speak to her about it. When the waitress came back to our table, the manager told her that a small Greek salad should have been made for me. the waitress told the manager that I asked for a Greek dressing and not a Greek salad. Total Lie! With that, the manager looked at me and said that our next visit will be better. There won't be a future visit. Food was good ( we only got eggs & toast) but service Sucked.. Waitress ( Paige) wasn't very friendly and I guess it was contagious because when I paid the bill the cashier ( who was a male waiter) took my payment and NEVER said ONE WORD except sign here. As we were leaving the male host (older gentleman) NEVER opened his mouth to say " how was everything, have a good day". NOTHING!!! Actually no one asked us " how we were doing". I actually had to ask the waitress her name because she never said " hi I'm such and such", just "'oh, no one got your drinks".... Duh......I was visiting this area unfortunately for a funeral. Writing this review is very sad because my family loves this place and comes here a few times a week. When we come during the day, we are treated warmly, the food is fresh and well seasoned, and it is a solid 4 star experience. But the Park Wayne Diner turns into a different place at night, after the owner goes home. The quality of food declines rapidly, and the service is atrocious. Let me be specific... As I have already mentioned, we come here a lot. I know what the boneless wings in the honey barbecue sauce are supposed to taste like. Try telling that to Coorina, the waitress. That horrible waitress should be fired. She argued that the buffalo wing sauce is the honey barbecue sauce. She refused to admit that my boneless wings were not prepared properly. She even refused to smell the sauce just to verify....she had a rotten attitude and does not know a thing about customer service. My boyfriend had disco fries. The were not salted and the gravy was bland and tasted like flour. She refused to get the manager.....It wouldnt have mattered. We paid our $20 dollars for boneless wings and disco fries we didnt (or couldnt) eat. We did not tip the horrible waitress. We wont be back at night because we had a similar experience a couple of weeks ago where the chili was horrible. What I find odd is that we get a completely different experience during the day. We ordered a coke, a milkshake, and the chicken parm wrap. The food came out in about 15 min and we did not get our drinks till about 10 minutes AFTER the food came out. Seriously!?! This place is atrocious. My boyfriend and I went there for dinner the other night, got one of the "specials" and a turkey BLT wrap. The chicken special was saturated in this awful, heavy cream sauce with some sort of gelatanous mound of bread crumbs on top. But that's just a matter of taste (though I don't know who'd actually like this). Then I got a $10 turkey wrap with about 3 pieces of turkey and cold fries. I ate the damn thing not realizing how much it was and once I did, told the waiter how awful it was and ridiculous to charge that much. He said he'd have it taken off the bill, but the "owner" only took of $2 because I ate it. REALLY??? You want to squabble over $10? OK then. Place is awful. Period. read more

Not good. Stuck up host and cashier with no personality. You know, a smile and a welcome goes a lot further than just "How many?" Waitress was worse, she introduced herself by saying.... "Drinks?" I ordered the He Man breakfast which came with about 10 Pieces of bacon. My choice was bacon or sausage, and I asked her if I could have 1 piece of each. She said "No". I asked again, as she offered no explanation, again she said "No" , instead they gave me 10 pieces of bacon,....I don't get it. Pancakes were not good, .....one good thing, it came out super fast which was great as our waitress seemed really annoyed, and didn't want to be there one second longer than she had to. I would have pointed this out to the host, but he seemed oblivious to our presence, and the cashier also seemed like she didn't want to be there. Most young girls her age smile or giggle too much, especially when your handing them cash. She seemed annoyed she had to interact with the customers, like we were bothering her. But as you can not pay your waitress, I didn't really enjoy walking all the way around the restaurant to pay the cashier, then going all the way back to the table to leave an unearned tip. A polite "How was your meal" or a sincere "have a good day" would have made that walk a little more pleasant. . I will try one more time, but if staff is not friendly and acts like the customers are annoying them and bothersome, I will lower the rating to 1 star and make sure never to return. I've been here a bunch of times with a bunch of different people & most of the time I feel like the servers feel like they're doing you a favor by waiting on you. Service is severely lacking. The garnishes that you get seem to depend on the amount of enthusiasm displayed by the server. Some portions are huge & dinners can easily be shared. The tables to the right when you enter are too close together & if you get banished to the back room, you need to hope that they don't forget about you. My main problem here is the bad service. We were in a table placed in the back of the restaurant and we were the only ones. I notice also that all the white people were placed in the front with white waiters. While we got a Hispanic waiter. I am not raistics. I respect everybody but I started to suspect something. Also there was a bunch of tables in the front. It was crazy. Also I looked around and there was no other type of people besides white. We were put in another room that connected to the one were all the people was and what hurt me the most was when my precious daughter asked me ," Mommy why are we the only ones in the back. Why aren't we in the front, there's a lot of empty tables." I felt really bad so We left. Anyway the good was expensive. I am willing to pay a lot of money for good quality food but I will never pay 10.00 dollars for fried eggs. That is ridiculous.I only ordered 3 drinks and before I left since I am polite I paid for my drinks. I thought my total would be 5 dollars, Since they were tiny little cups but they were 8 dollars. That is just stupid. I will never return again and I suggest to many of you to not go either. Went there for breakfast with my girlfriend yesterday and have been there many times prior. This place never disappoints me. The staff and management are really nice!! My wife and I ordered the Monterrey Jack Cheese Burger that comes with Avocado, which is normally good. However, this time after eating part of the burger and it wasn't tasting the same, we realize that there is NO AVOCADO. The waiter forgot to tell us they are out of Avocados. The food is great here and so is the wait staff, but the front end staff is rude and always looks miserable. We go there often and there are times where they're yelling at each other in front of customers at the register. One of the men even argued with my mother over a pick up order because she didn't leave tip since we were picking it up and no one helped us anyway! So rude. Well this place went from one of my favorites to immediately never again! So tonight I was out with a friend eating there and everything was going fine. The waiter brings us the check and we go up to pay. My friend tell the woman at the desk we are splitting the check no problem. She takes his card ask how much for tip he tells $3 so it becomes $19 and some change a piece. She swipe his card no problem, she now takes my card and swipes it. She tells me that my card did not go through and it's stating that I only have $11.60 on my card. Which I KNOW for a fact isn't the case so I tell her and she like this what the machine says. Okay fine I see they have ATM so I ask her how much do I have to pay. The reason I asked this is because when she showed me the $11.60 it had sign for signature and accept charge for it. So I wanted to know did my card get charge only $11.60 and I owe you the rest, did my card only get charged $8 and I owe you $11.60, or was I not charged at all? This woman gets upset out of now where starts going on a MAJOR rant and cursing me out and all I am trying to do is pay for my bill and get the correct amount. Which in return I was telling her not to disrespect me and I am just asking a question, she proceeds to tell me to "get the f*** out and she doesn't want my money!!!!" Now I am pissed because I refuse to be stereotype as someone who A. Can not pay for her bill, B. Is disrespectful! I used to love going to the King George Diner and miss it. I have tried this several times. I will not be going again and I have several friends and family members who feel the same way. The food was mediocre and while it was clean, the service was awful all the times I have tried it. You may ask why did I go back, well it is because it was close to home..and I hoped it would be better. This last time I went by myself for something quick after work. The look I received from the host was basically why did he have to seat me. Through my meal he kept passing by and giving me horrible looks, the wait staff was inattentive. It became so uncomfortable that I ended up not eating and went home, When I went to pay the bill the same "host" didn't even ask me how my meal was, or when I said thank you and have a good day didn't even acknowledge it. So I came to eat with my girlfriend and a couple of her friends. There was no line, no wait. We stand there for literally 5 minutes. I said hang out let's give them a chance. We're siting there for another 4-5 mins. Finally somebody comes over and brings us I guess beats and bread? We're like we didn't order that. She said its complementary. I said. No thank you. So she rolls her eyes. Finally another 5 mins. Rolls by and she asks us if we want anything to drink. I order grey goose and 7 up. My gf orderes a bay breeze. And her 2 friends get a girly drink. Well of course the girly drinks they didn't have. So they picked another drink. The next one was sex on the beach. (All these are on the menu). Sorry guys we don't have that either. Then the poor girls say. Just give us 2 screwdrivers with grey goose. So finally we get the drinks in after we had literally been there atleast 30 mins. Finally we flag her over to take our order. I order a steak. With caesar salad steak Medium rare. My girlfriend orders a Greek salad with chicken. And one of her friends order a buffalo ckn wrap with French fries. The other girl ordered just "half moon mozzarella sticks". So after 5-10 mins the salads and stuff come out. We wait. We wait we wait. We had been there well over an hour. Then finally the food comes. Needless to say. My steak was literally well done. I couldn't eat it. My girlfriends Greek salad had almost no feta. And I don't know how they make there Greek dressing. But it was Terrible. Ok so her friend who ordered the buffalo chicken wrap. She said it was ok. But I could see it in her face. She said the fries were soggy and were literally cold. Last but not least. Mozzarella sticks. Impossible to screw up right ? The cheese was oozing out about 3 diff. Sides. There was so much grease they were so terrible. Needless to say. This was literally by far the worst diner and the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. They asked us if we wanted anything else. And we all looked at eachother and said no thanks. I think McDonalds would be way better. We go up to see what they had taken off. All they took off was my steak. And charged me for a soup and salad. I Didn't even have a soup. Only a salad. And they took off the mozzarella sticks. So we paid a $40 dollar check and literally did not eat anything. They should of comped the entire meal. And on top of that the drunk owner who's eyes were blood shot. (We were watching him taking shots and drinking beer behind the counter) my gf also heard him tell one of his servers how nice her ass was and he asked if he could take her to the back. And she just smiled. I can't imagine people ever stepping foot in the diner. I give this shit hole 9 months before it gets shut down. Btw if I could give zero stars I would. read more
