El "Spicy" Pollo Sliders and Grilled Chicken Egg Ranchero
    Hiran P.

Great brunch spot in metuchen with many options. It's a small spot with few outside tables so definitely come early. Luckily we went on a Friday early afternoon so waited 20ish to be seated. Staff is nice and quick with the order. We were in a rush so they were able to accommodate us accordingly. Both the sliders and ranchero were solid. The ranchero was bit salty for me, but with the tortilla chips on the side, it was a good balance. Food came hot and presentation was just as advertised. Will definitely be coming back to try other options. The avo toast and pancakes looked real good!

This is not a drill!!!! For Galentines Day, me and the bestie pulled up since it was the shortest wait time for spots in the area and thank our lucky starts! The menu alone will have your lite watering! I preferred a ube latte for the wait and both our table and my latte were ready at the same time! Cute spot, chill vibes and outstanding service! ..... Now for the food!!!!! The only downside was there was not more than two of us to try more of the dishes! E V E R Y T H I N G we had was finger licking delicious! Periodt

Park Your Backside @ Parkside Eats What a fantastic new addition to Metuchen! This spot, serving LUNCH-BRUNCH-MUNCH, is all about American comfort food with a global twist, and it absolutely delivers. From the moment we walked in, the hands-on owner greeted us at the door, warmly explaining the menu and sharing the concept behind each dish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, making the whole experience even better. After the customers next to us finished eating the owner and staff wiped down the table and all the seats before they sat the next group. The Korean BBQ sliders were a flavorful, mouth-awakening start -- perfectly balanced and full of bold taste. The Krab BLT was light, fresh, and delicious. Then came the Ube Empanada, served fresh and piping hot with sweet ube oozing out -- a total treat! We paired everything with a refreshing mango iced tea and capped the meal off with an Ube Float that was simply perfect. The small indoor dining room has cozy, cool vibes, and the outdoor seating makes it a great spot for any time of day. I'll definitely be back to try more of their creative menu -- this place is a winner!

This is nice little off the main street area of Metuchen restaurant. I got there just as it opened since I had somewhere else to go to afterwards. I was seated quickly and my waitress arrived shortly after. It has very limited seating but it's charming I started off with the chicken empanadas and they were very good with just the right amount of spice and the dip they gives you seems like a mix of ketchup and mayo which compliments the empanadas perfectly. My main dish was the B.E.K.Y(Brioche hot dog bun toasted with house cheese, bacon, fluffy egg, and topped with our KEWPIE mayo and fresh chives). It was perfect combo of a omelette and bread. The breakfast potatoes was very good as well they were tasty and crispy which is how I like them. Overall I recommend the place although seating is pretty tightly packed together the food makes up for it

Parkside Eats is a cute little restaurant with a nice ambiance. The menu has a lot of options and the drink selection is endless. I got the dragon fruit lemonade which was good. The owner was kind and brought out guava and cheese empanadas. Those were delicious and I would definitely get those again. My friend enjoyed her chai latte along with her pancakes. I had chicken and waffles and although the waffle was good, the chicken unfortunately was a miss for me. It was very greasy and made my stomach hurt after just 2 wings. I couldn't finish it and wish I had gotten something different. I would definitely go back to explore different items.

The first meal of a weekend getaway can really set the tone, and Parkside Eats in Metuchen didn't disappoint. The restaurant has a cozy, welcoming vibe and the service was excellent. And no worries, there's a parking lot across the street. I ordered the Brown Better Maple Chicken and Waffles, which were absolutely delicious, crispy, and flavorful. I have also tried the guava and cheese empanada that was just as tasty. Both my daughters loved their meals too. I already know I'll be coming back because the foodie that I am, couldn't stop eyeing the lobster truffle fries at the next table. Parkside Eats is definitely a spot worth visiting for brunch if you are in the area.

Do I want to gatekeep this place? Absolutely! Should I? I can't. Especially since the owner really wanted us to talk about it. The only knock I have against it is that it's not easy for me to get to living in Jersey city and with no car. Genuinely would rent a car once a month just to eat here. That's how good the place is. Service was pretty decent for a small place and it was popping. Owner was really nice always checking up on us and doing his best to keep us going. The waitress was also very accommodating with how big back and messy we were. Not a single crumb wasted. All the food was good. I kinda wish I had the option to trade waffle fries for the tots/home style potatoes because them thangs was exquisitely crunchy and soft at the same time. I love the additional runny egg yolk on any slider. Next time I'm coming for the chicken because my cousin ordered that and lemme tell you how much chicken excess there were. Messy eats means delicious in my book. I'm not normally a sweets person but that ube cream cheese or icing was so good I was actually about to be a sweets guy. Overall , this place is a 100/10. And it's halal. Makes it ever better.

I can't say enough good things about everything I've tried here. Cozy picturesque spot with great food and awesome service. Even met the owner and he was so nice and welcoming. I can't wait to be back to try more things! Just make sure you connect to the WiFi to view the menu since my service was somewhat spotty.

If you happen to be in the area, you need to go to Parkside Eats! We arrived at 9am for a birthday breakfast as a party of 8. We didnt make a reservation, but the staff was extremely willing to make space for everyone when we arrived. Its a small building, but you don't feel cramped. We tried a variety of different plates: the ropa vieja empanadas, grits, pancakes, waffles, steak bowl, the side chix, tostada egg enchilada, and the table favorite, fig empanadas(shout out to the owner for the recommendation)! Every dish was a 10/10! Everything tasted fresh and was perfectly seasoned. Make it a point to come here the next time you're looking for a great breakfast option.

Amazing experience. A top brunch spot in NJ. Food is so good, I only wish I had more room to eat. Had the spicy chicken sliders and Korean beef sliders as well as the ube French toast and WOW! The service was spot on and great ambience. I'd bring anyone here for a great brunch and will be back soon!

Came here for a weekend brunch and was happy to see the wide variety of options they had! The hardest challenge was deciding what to order since everything looked so good. Our waitress Jada was so helpful and made great recommendations! We got the A V O toast and the Frutopia French toast + a guava and cheese empanada to share. I recommend going one savory and one sweet item to experience the menu! Cute decor and inviting spot- will def be back!

Place need to be more clean such as table and seating . Also don't reuse the water that is served to another customer.. saw it in person . Pandan float is good but the Pandan waffle does not taste anything Pandan but look good. Steak is decent . And beef empanadas is normal . Service are slow Not recommend coming here especially what I saw . Pouring customer cup of water back into the severing water bottle .

So we decided to do lunch here. My review is kind of mixed. it's a very small place, like only 9 tables. But the hostess/waitress was lovely. My party hadn't arrived yet but she set us a place. I asked to see a menu but you have to scan the code to see an online menu. It's a nice menu but I questioned how would a senior citizen or someone that doesn't have a smart phone be able to view the menu because they have no paper menus. so I think that's something for the owner to consider plus it's a real pain to look online. I'm sorry I'm a senior myself and it's so inconvenient but the girl came took our order wrote it down on paper so we didn't have to order through the app itself so that was nice. She brought our teas, drinks. No alcohol served not sure it's a bring your own. You might have to call ahead to find out. I ordered the Krab-o-Cado egg rolls as my lunch but she brought it as the appetizer so I guess she didn't hear me say it was my meal. And probably the reason she didn't hear me is because it being such a small place almost the size of a large bedroom that it's so loud in there you can't even hear yourself talk which is a bummer really. I get that the building is probably Old. It looks like they took over two storefronts and tried to turn it into a business. Maybe it would be better at a different location. thank goodness there's parking across the road. It's a block or two from the center of town because parking otherwise would be horrible and they don't accept reservations. My grandson had popcorn chicken and waffle fries which he ate it all. My daughter had the Korean BBQ Chicken sliders which looked delicious but were very tough to chew. And they were bathed in so much sauce it was a mess to eat. Our other relative had the blueberry ube maple croissant waffle, which looked delicious. She enjoyed it. I had the Korean barbecue salad. Which was spicy but fresh and tasty. Unfortunately They mixed up our order and delivered 1/2 of it to another table so the wait was extra long. On the bright side they tried to be very accommodating and gave us 2 extra hot teas and adjusted the bill. Like I said it's a mixed review but I hope they do well here but would love to see them in a better location. The menu is extensive and everything being served looked fantastic. I would give it another shot in the future maybe on a weekday

When I approached the register, the employee asked who I was picking up for. I showed her the order information on my phone, and she checked it before walking away. The problem was that she never came back or gave me any update. I was left standing there waiting, assuming the order was still being prepared. After waiting longer than necessary, I had to approach another employee to find out what was happening. I was then told that my food had actually been ready for several minutes. That was frustrating because a simple update or acknowledgment would have avoided the entire situation. What bothered me most was that when I finally brought up the issue, instead of acknowledging the inconvenience, I felt like I was being brushed off with a quick "have a good night." I understand that restaurants can get busy, and I'm not expecting perfect service every time. However, basic communication, attentiveness, and respect go a long way especially when someone is simply trying to pick up an order. I'm leaving this review because the pickup process needs improvement. Management should make sure employees are communicating with customers and following through after asking them for their order information. A little better customer service would make a big difference.

4-Star Review - Delhi Garden, NJ…read more Tried Delhi Garden recently on a friend's recommendation. It's a bit out of the way from the central Edison area, but worth a visit every now and then. I saw some solid reviews online and decided to check it out. Service was good . Atmosphere not that great . Overall, I was leaning toward a 3-star rating, but a few standout dishes pushed it to a 4. The aloo cutlet with chole was the star of the show--super authentic and flavorful. The paneer tikka and paneer masala also hit the mark taste-wise, though I wish they had packed a bit more spice. The paneer tandoor came in a generous portion, but again, it could've used more flavor. The biryani was just average. One common theme--everything was low on spice, and the small container of spicy sauce they give barely lasted a few bites. It's a takeout-only spot, so no dine-in tables, and the parking area is small but manageable. Price-wise, it felt fair for the portion sizes. Not perfect, but worth trying if you're in the mood for North Indian flavors and don't mind customizing the spice at home!
