We stopped by Parlor Doughnuts after lunch. Upon entering, the shop smells so good. I think it's a mix from the coffee and doughnuts. I ordered the Raspberry pistachio and it's pretty good. It's a big doughnut and it is on the sweeter side of things but still pretty good. I think this is good to share with friends as a dessert instead of a breakfast food. Service was friendly. We came in during lunch and there are still quite a few doughnut flavor variety left over. They also have validated parking so go in and get that as well.

My son convinced me to drive into downtown Denver for these. (He loves cronut-style donuts.) We both ordered the Sandy Beach: vanilla glaze with a crumbly cinnamon sugar topping. It's very aptly named, and messy! I would say the donut base is outstanding. Loved the chewy, tender layers. However, the icing was way too sweet and cloying for me. I wish I'd read other's reviews in advance as I see they point this out for many of the donuts. I might have just treated my son and passed for myself. If you want to eat here at the shop there's a QR code you can scan for parking validation.

Cool spot for an artisan donut. The place is well laid out and seemed pretty clean, but the floors were sticky before 8 AM. Maybe it was my shoes on a certain type of surface? The see was fast and friendly. The food was well prepared, but not a budget friendly donut.

Checked out Parlor Doughnuts for the first time yesterday with some friends. I was promised these were some tasty doughnuts (donuts?), and I was not led astray. The offerings are in the cronut style of things--thickly cut and layered/flaky. We had a variety: French Toast; Raspberry Pistachio; Coconut Cream; and Churro. The raspberry was really punchy, and high on my list. The coconut was excellent, but very messy with filling. (A good problem to have, but would recommend a fork!) All of the sampled flavors were really winners though. This location has a convenient parking lot, which you can validate for up to 90 minutes of parking. The interior had several seating areas, so if you're not grabbing and going, you can settle in with a hot cuppa and fully enjoy the sugar rush.

The shop is small but clean with a few tables to seat at if you want to stay. There were two people behind the counter but not very helpful. We wanted to try the donuts because we heard good things about them. The donut itself is very good fluffy and crunchy at the Same time- I would have preferred it plain! The bacon was good but the frosting was very sweet to me. I think if the frostings had less sugar the donuts would have been better! Everyone has their own taste so many might like it this sweet! I'm just saying for us, all three toppings were too sweet. Donuts without toppings are yummy!

The donuts here were pretty good but just a tad bit sweet for me. They have really interesting and unique flavors but I came a little bit late so some of the flavors were sold out. My favorite flavors were the strawberry and the blueberry donuts. Also the dough here was very almost croissant like which I enjoyed! We did come very late so we could tell the worker wanted to go home but the inside of the shop was very modern and clean. Overall pretty good experience but I don't know if I would come back just because it's really sweet.

Immediately as I walked in, I felt a sense of excitement and awe looking at all the options in their display case! We got here around noon on a cold snowy day, and it looked like there were only a couple of sold-out flavors. We picked up 3 donuts: churro, lemon bar, and strawberry shortcake. The lemon bar was, surprisingly, my favorite. It was sweet and tangy and on the lighter side. That being said, I would pass on the churro next time. It was a bit too sweet and heavy for me. These doughnuts are tasty, and I wish there was just a bit more flake to the cronut. It was also cute in here! The folks working were really attentive and quick. I would definitely come back and I think these are a great gift idea! Something about the presentation of them feels fancy and aesthetically pleasing.

Walked in about an hour before they closed, and luckily still had a ton of options left! Great service. Ordered a strawberry shortcake and cookies and cream doughnut, they were good but the juxtaposition between the really dull flavored doughnut and the insanely sweet icing was a lot and not my favorite. The strawberry shortcake flavor particularly tasted nothing like strawberry shortcake :/

I stopped here while visiting Denver. I was brought in by their creative and seasonal flavors. Overall, I would say their doughnuts taste more like yeast doughnuts and they all have a good flavor and chew to them. I chose the following flavors: Pumpkin chai cheesecake (seasonal), apple pie layered (seasonal), churro, and chocolate chocolate. They definitely hit the spot for my doughnut craving. They do cost $4.50 per doughnut so between the 4 doughnuts and some coffee it came out to almost $20. My favorite was the pumpkin chai cheesecake. The pillowy doughnut was topped with a pumpkin flavored cream cheese frosting as well as a dollop of whipped cream. The churro was probably my second favorite. It had a somewhat crispier texture and was coated in chocolate. The chocolate-cinnamon flavor combination was perfect. I also really liked the chocolate chocolate which was a plain doughnut base topped with chocolate glaze, chocolate chips, and chocolate drizzle. It reminded me of a chocolate babka. The apple pie doughnut was basically a doughnut filled with apple pie filling and you could never go wrong with that. It was a bit on the sweeter side for me but still delicious. Worth a stop by to get some delicious doughnuts!

The websites make it out to seem that there's only one or two gluten free options but when I got to the shop, there were probably 10 options! They're small and cute. I believe the base is coconut flour or something - i can taste it. They're light and still moist. Usually GF donuts are dry... so props to them! It's super quick and i ate these 3 over 3 days and they still tasted great. The churro doesn't taste like churro though - more just chocolate nutty ness to me. I'm a GF girly so this was so nice to have this option as voodoo (close by!) does not

Convinced my husband to take me downtown for these donuts and I'm obsessed. The space is beautiful--bright, open, tons of seating. The donuts are ridiculously good: sweet, flaky, croissant-donut hybrids in a million amazing flavors (holiday ones too!). I intended to buy just one, and left with half a dozen. If you have a sweet tooth, this is a must visit. You won't regret it.

Saw the shop while walking down the road and decided to stop in for a sweet treat!

So freaking good and different than other doughnuts I've had. I think the meter parking on the side street is free before 10, but I also see that they validate parking in the lot. When I went in, there was just one other person in front of me and I was waited on right away. Definitely give this place a try if you like yummy, unique doughnuts! read more

I've been a doughnut lover for as long as I can remember. I haven't seen cronuts in the Denver area yet. These doughnuts did not disappoint. We got the blueberry and Reese's. They are a great combination of flaky and buttery. I though the blueberry icing was a little too sweet for me but doughnut itself was delicious. Service was quick and friendly and they also validate parking. I will definitely return to try other flavors and their breakfast sandwiches. read more

Wasn't very impressed with the donuts and the service could of been better, a lot better for being a newly opened donut shop with tons of competition out there. Do better next time if not for me for other customers, especially being in customer relations and dealing with a lot of companies who have me as there go to person for banquets, referrals and just the word of mouth person. Price could be a bit better too, especially slowing getting the economy back. read more

For get voodoo and Dunkin. You have GOT to try Parlor donuts. I think my first words inside the door were "Holy Shit!!". These donuts are as tasty as they are beautiful. I consider myself a bit of a connoisseur. The coconut cream filled is like a croissant filled with not overly sweet coconut custard. I am I heaven. I'm a fan of these croissant-style donuts, though I'd almost go so far as to say they're more like cinnamon rolls. They're flakier than a traditional donut in any case, and they've got about 15-20 standard flavors on offer at all times, plus a few seasonal ones. So far I've been impressed with the Reese's and Cookies and Cream ones the most, as the fruit flavors didn't quite have the right balance for me, either just being too sweet or too much of the "fake" flavor rather than tasting like real fruit. But I'm willing to keep trying more of their creations. They do coffee here too and have a small case of other drinks like juices and water. Word to the wise, they do have a parking lot in between Broadway and Lincoln, but it's a pay lot unless you buy donuts, at which point they will validate. So it's street parking if you don't want to bother with that, and everyone knows it can be tough to do that in this area. Nice small patio outside as well if you want to sit and enjoy. read more

Best donut I've ever had in my life and I grew up with a mom who made donuts from scratch. I had the lemon bar donut and it was indescribably delicious. Donuts - 4/5. Not really donuts in any traditional sense. They're kinda their own thing, somewhere between a croissant and a morning bun. Tasty, interesting flavors, very sweet. No variety in the dough itself (i.e. raised, cake, old fashioned) - again, not really a donut. But, I guess who cares what you call it - whatever they're making is tasty, so 4 stars. Other Food - 3/5. Had a BEC on a biscuit and it was very underwhelming. Came out steamed rather than toasted, like it had been sitting in a wrapper for 10 minutes despite the fact that I unwrapped it immediately upon delivery. Vibe - 3/5. Nice branding, but vanilla and chain-like. Like it was purpose-built to be easily reproducible and generically Instagram-friendly. Service - 4/5. Employees were friendly, but slightly unattentive (cashier asked for my name three times) and the line was slow. Coffee - 1/5. Ordered a simple latte and received a scalded foamy mess that I couldn't start drinking for about 10 minutes. And a "small" was pretty large (probably 16 oz?), meaning so much milk that I couldn't really discern if the coffee itself was good. Would not count on this place for your morning cuppa if you like good coffee. Good news: there are plenty of great alternatives nearby. In summary: good pastries, would definitely snag one if they showed up at the office or a party. But I won't be going out of my way to get one or singing Parlor's praises to the masses. read more

Ok so I'm back. My boyfriend brought home a berries red white and blue donut that ABSOLUTELY SLAPS! The cream cheese frosting is A1. I mean I rarely smash a whole donut at once but you guys keep the savory to perfection with these. I would go out on a limb to say they're the best in the country. The best. I liked this place but I didn't *love* it. I found the cronuts to be too too dense, but dense with flakes. My preferred cronut lives on the other side of the spectrum closer to traditional doughnuts. Their cold brew was great, and I loved the diversity of staff they had. As there are so many bakeries in Denver, I'm not sure if I'd come back, but I am not hating!! Worth a stop if you need a treat! read more

Great doughnuts and the service was good too. My husband had the French toast doughnut and said it was excellent. The base is like a croissant. I had a vegan gluten free doughnut and they will add any type glaze to it. It was much smaller than their regular donuts but tasted great. It was a thick, cake type doughnut and I added French toast glaze to it. It was messy since they glaze those right when you order but I can deal with that. My only recommendation is to add more detail about the vegan GF glaze options to the menu so that it's easier to order. I kept looking for vegan GF options in the case and didn't see them so I asked and he nicely explained. read more

BEWARE!!! Parked in front of Parlor Doughnuts and walked in with my son. After having some breakfast we received an $80 parking ticket in the mail. When asking the manager for help they gave me an email to contact. After contacting the parking lot company they refused to cancel the charge. Calling Parlor Doughnuts I explained what happened only to have the manager say "well that's just something you need to workout with the parking lot" --super disappointing and I'm sorry for any other customers that get hit with an $80 parking fee here. read more

Everything is premade, so you can't make any substitutions or changes of any kind. Just not worth it for me, although I've heard from others that the donuts are good (I'm not a fan of donuts). Hopefully those make this place a little more redeemable! I will say that the interior is really well done. Visually, the place is great. You can also order through a little window to the left of the doors, which is convenient, particularly for those with dogs or strollers.

No greeting or question of what I wanted, fine whatever, I ordered and paid. However, the glaring issue was the fact he didn't change his gloves from working in the back, to grabbing my food, to working the register, to wiping down the tables. Gross. Doughnuts were fine, but couldn't enjoy them.

I would give them 3.5 stars if I could, but I'm rounding up for the great service. My first visit was excellent. Service was very friendly and helpful, asking if I wanted to bundle the two empanadas I wanted with a sauce for $10, a deal I had not noticed. I got a mushroom empanada, a BBQ chicken empanada, and a side of chimichurri. I was told it would take about 10 minutes for my order, which I appreciated for two reasons: (1) it set my expectation properly and (2) it meant the empanadas would be freshly baked. My empanadas were ready on time and were excellent. They were crispier than other baked empanadas I've had and had great fillings. The chimichurri was one of the best I've had, packed with herbs and the right amount of acidity. I thought the size of the empanadas was reasonable, with two being enough for the light meal I wanted. There were different staff there the second time I visited, and the empanadas weren't cooked as well. The bottoms were a little soggy. The atmosphere is spare but clean, with seating only at counters at the windows. But they also had a nice outdoor patio and a water dispenser inside, which are nice features.

whoah. this place is the real deal. I'm a total doughnut freak and thought this would be another one of those "fancy" places that just dresses up their products in fun instagrammable ways. Nope! These things are seriously great. Mouth is watering just thinking about them! Tried many of the flavors and they are all pretty solid. Some of the heavily frosted ones can get to be overly sweet, but i mean, to be expected. Do not sleep on this place if you are looking for a rich, buttery, doughnut! read more
