    Bacon bagel sandwich
    Kristen S.

We don't have Winchell's in Florida so I decided to give this place a go. There is a variety of donuts with different flavors to choose from which is nice. Another plus is that if you do not want a donut you can have breakfast sandwiches. I got a bacon bagel sandwich which was ok. The sandwich was heated up but the bagel was not toasted rather just heated up in a microwave. The hazelnut iced coffee was really good and I got 3 donuts. I got a boston cream donut, a chocolate covered sour cream and chocolate frosted chocolate donut. The donuts were BOMB! My husband even made a happy mmmmmm sound after biting into the boston cream. I can now see the hype and I will go to Winchell's here and there (well on a cheat day lol).

    Raised are always my favorite!

Ordered two cinnamon rolls on a Sunday morning - so stale they were inedible. Never going back to this location!

Yummy choices. We also had breakfast croissants which were very tasty. Can't wait to come back.

Apparently, this is a customer favorite special that earned its place on the regular menu... but they still run out. Consider yourself warned. He ordered a half portion and received the last one they had prepped for that day. I only got to try a small bite, but agreed that it was an explosion of flavor and amazing if you're looking for a sweet breakfast. I enjoyed the coffee and the spicy sausages that were the centerpiece of my order. I wasn't as much of a fan of the plain biscuits and gravy that I selected for my side, but the eggs and potatoes were well done. Our waitress kept my coffee cup full and checked on us frequently. I'll definitely be back again, maybe earlier so that I can also get the French toast! (BTW, the half order was plenty of food for one person.)

Food, from the main menu is great. My CFS was fantastic. Happy Hour starters...meh. Frozen Pot Stickers and a weird interpretation of jalapeño poppers. We were not disappointed :) Ruperts has a great set up of booth, bar, table, and patio seating. They have cute little witty sayings strewn about their walls, so those are fun to find and read. Prepare yourself for a little bit of a wait if you go for brunch on the weekend. This just means Ruperts is worth the wait. Check the bar seats though, as those are first come, first serve and they serve the entire menu there as well. We lucked out and two spots were open for us so we did not have to wait for a table. The bartender who was also our server was very nice and gave some excellent recommendations. Rupert's classic reuben was a great suggestion. Add sweet potato fries, and you'll be in heaven! We also could not pass up the cinnamon roll that was so elegantly advertised in front of us! When in Sloan's Lake, Ruperts will be my choice of restaurants. As with most brunch places, Ruperts opens early in the morning - at 7am and closes early at 2:30pm.

We rolled up only 20 minutes before they closed and were both greeted with big smile and lots of patience - this means a lot because we knew what time it was, lol. It's a counter walk up and order kitchen, and our orders came out fast. We ordered several things, just to try a few things. Their biscuits were really good - flakey while not completely crumbling, soft, golden brown, and with a really nice flavor. My gram would've appreciated these and she could bake, lol. Of all the things we ordered, my only suggestion would be to add some sort of complimentary sauce to the bare Chapel Hill biscuit. We both took a few bites and wrapped it up, to take home so we could add some yummy sauce. The biscuit and chicken were great, just dry. My Boone (avo, lettuce, tomoto and mayo) with added bacon was tasty. Would order again for sure. Our cinnamon roll was fabulous - definitely add the frosting for a tiny upcharge. Cooked to golden brown and topped with sugared cinnamon. Yum. It's huge also, so you'll likely take some home unless this is your breakfast! Loved finding this cute place. The staff were friendly and walked us through their ordering options. You can basically build your own biscuit and/or add things to any of the their prebuilt options. And you've got coffee, juices, chais and teas. Your perfect morning awaits.

There is mainly street parking and we got lucky with a spot just down the street. The restaurant was already busy at 9am and had a long wait when we left. Testament to good restaurant and popular neighborhood. This is a brunch spot so come ready for breakfast and/or lunch grub. We were hungry and tried a bunch. The drip coffee & lattes were delicious (oat milk is available) and come in cute animal cups. We started with 2 of the sausage rolls which are akin to pigs in a blanket but much higher quality sausage in puff pastry served with syrup. Very good but nothing extraordinary. The small bite star is the spicy egg salad on crispy potato. These are divine with just enough spice to balance the creamy egg salad and insanely crunchy and delicious fried potato (like crispy rice but potato) We also shared a muffin of the day which rotates flavors. It was spectacular. The mortadella Sammy was fried and filling with a berry jam, cheese and egg. I had the egg over medium and it was messy in the best way. This is a sandwich to have extra napkins for. I'd 100% recommend it. The avocado toast was tasty and came with poached eggs (you can order one or two). Great food, service and vibes. Note there is a 20% service charge that is separate from tip, Our server did explain it when we first sat down so it wasn't hidden.
