I had an amazing turkey avo and bacon sandwich here. All of the ingredients were extremely fresh lettuce was crisp. Avocado was buttery and smooth. Bacon was think and savory. I chose a soft sourdough for my bread and this was soft yet crisp. The cold cut turkey was sliced thin and stacked very high. I only got through half of the sandwich and saved the rest. Service was quick and accurate. They have stamp cards that pay off if you frequent this place. They take phone orders too! I highly recommend this place when on the area. Worth every bite. What a great little shop that Harvey K took me to for a very delicious and filling lunch! Parma seems to have a long history and a family owned one at that. The pics on the wall and the homestyle atmosphere speaks volumes once you're inside. The staff is just wonderful and I suspect many are family members and/or longtime employees. The owner Mary is a delightful woman who we had a good chat with about the state of Walnut Creek and of course the country. I decided to go full Italian and get the meatball sub sandwich. Holy ____, this thing could feed two average sized adults. To say this sandwich was loaded with big meatballs would be an understatement. It also included sliced provolone and served on a sourdough roll. Pluses for the taste of the meatballs and sauce, but a minor knock on the roll which was a bit too dry for my taste. Plus, it's a lot to eat! So that may be a plus for most but not for me. The shop has a good variety of Italian goodies you can buy as well. Seems like the people who came in that day after us are regulars. A good sign in my book. I expect to bring the wife and share a sandwich again in about two weekends. The store is small with limited seating but we are close enough that we decided to order to take out. People behind the counter treat you as if you are family and you can tell they take pride in their job.I ordered the muffuletta on Sourdough and received a mountain of meat, cheese and olive tapenade. The sandwich is huge and sells for $9.49. My wife ordered a ham and turkey with foo foo cheese which rang the register at $8.49. We snagged a couple bags of chips and we were out the door for around $21.50. The sandwiches are very flavorful and you can tell they use quality meats and fixings. My first time here I enjoyed it very much and will return to try others sandwiches. I love to cook now I have found a place that carries everything I need for a home cooked Italian meal. This place is a jewel! I ordered the Italian mix sandwich it had plenty of meat on it. It was made with Italian salami, prosciutto, mortadella and ham with smoked cheddar and monterey cheese on a white roll. The bread was soft and fresh just how I like it. TL;DR: Excellent Deli Style Sandwiches and Lunch Plates for Decent Price. Subpar produce docks a star, otherwise don't waste your money on Togo's, Subway, or Quizno's, come here instead. Came here recently on a day I was working from home and was pleasantly surprised by this place. Its so hard finding a good delicatessen these days, what with the big three I mentioned above driving everyone else out. Parma is a pleasing oasis of sandwich goodness in a desert of bland pre-processed mass produced market. I had an garlic & herb turkey with smoked gouda on sour dough with fixins, and not only were the portions generous, but flavorful as well. The meat and cheese especially were delicious! Could have eaten way more of those alone. ***Biggest complaint***: And Parma, please fix this. Do NOT use Iceberg lettuce on my sandwich. Total waste. It brings nothing to the party, and if thats what you are going to deign as lettuce, I'd rather just go without. Spring the extra couple cents and get a nice head of red leaf, or green leaf, or butter, or I don't even care what just NOT Iceberg. Tomatoes weren't the best either. The rest of your ingredients are awesome, so why not round out the whole package? I'll be back here for sure, hoping that they take my words to heart. read more

I decided to venture out of work to grab a lunch *gasp* I know something unheard of these days, but I needed something different than the Mexican Fiesta Salads on Mondays and my normal home cooked meals that I eat on a daily basis. I prowled yelp to see what places were good for lunch. I've been thinking about a good deli sandwich for a while and my go to place in Danville is a bit far away (Domenico's). So Parma gets to be my guinea pig today. For $8.77 (including tax) I got a fresh turkey sandwich with a bag of chips. Not bad at all. So the sandwich is about 6 inches long with ice berg lettuce, pepperoncinis, pickles, red onions, mayo, mustard and tomatoes. The meat was about 1 inch thick. I couldn't even finish a half but my stomach wanted to try its best since the meat was so juicy and tender melt in your mouth good. Their bread selection was a little smaller than Domenico's but I was happy with the roll I got. Overall a great deli place and not crowded at all at 11:30. I'll definitely be back if I'm hankering some sammy. One note though, I'm not sure if they accept credit as I just assumed it was cash as they had an ATM in the place... read more

I ordered the meatball panini and it was massive - I ended up only being able to eat half with some chips, and took the other half to work for lunch the next day. They also have some other items in their deli, as well as dried goods/pantry items, such as pasta. Super friendly service here too, they welcomed us and made us feel as if we were family. I have been meaning to write my review for a while, but hey, you know...life is busy sometimes. This is my second or third time eating here and I must say, the sammiches are damn good! The bread is fresh, the meat is placed in abundance ever so neatly on the bread, the put just the right amount of onions, lettuce and peppercinis. My peppered turkey was tastey and the cheese was the cheesiest. The service was, fast and they also let you taste the items before you purchase them. My friend and I were biking the CC Canal Trail and needed some lunch. We asked a local along the way and without hesitation they recommended Parma and gave us great directions. What a find! Located in a completely non-descript mini-mall, we would never have found it on our own. But just opening the door to the delicious aromas of deli meats convinced us that this was The Place. First time here and an awful experience. The sandwich was inedible and Terrible customer service. I asked what is on the vegetarian sandwich and I got an attitude from the worker. He didn't tell me what was on it and I am allergic to one item. I said no mustard so the guy drowns the sandwich in mayonnaise. There is half a jar of mayo on this sandwich. It is inedible. He said cheese was on it but when I went to pay, they charged me extra for cheese. So then he tells it come with cream cheese only. And you can't substitute that for another type of cheese without an extra charge. I threw out this "sandwich" of bread smothered in mayonnaise. What a waste! read more

Why did it take us so long to find this place??!?! We've been looking for a good deli for ages (I have an obsession with turkey sandwiches) and we FINALLY found one. As soon as we walked in the door I felt at home. The folks working seem to really enjoy their job (and man, are they good at it). They also know all the regulars (I can't wait to be one) and even if they don't know you, they treat you like they do. Now let's get to the food. Best turkey sandwich I've had, maybe ever.
