This place is my favorite restaurant in Eugene. The staff are all great, the oysters are tasty and the winelist is the most interesting in town. Unsurprisingly, the Party crew has knocked it out of the park with their new venture, which is really just a slice of Party Downtown in a cozy and hip little package. I popped in before an afternoon show at the Hult Center (just a couple blocks away). Immediately the cool mid-century modern vibe and uptempo music took us in. The bar looked very inviting. We kicked off with an ahi tuna tostada with fried shallots and avocaco($8). The flavors were absolutely popping, we devoured it. Don't miss this. They had some brunch specials. One was a gnocchi with chantrelle gravy served in a mini iron skillet. I went for a Korean short-rib sandwich with housemade kimchi. It was messy, rich and delicious, down to the toasty bun. Their veggie burger seems similar to the one they had at Party Downtown, however the bread choice was different. I still loved it. The patty is made with mushrooms and is probably the most "meat-like" veggie burger I've had. Our service was great and everything came out quick. They are open from 11-11 just about everyday! With the Hult Center and WOW Hall being just a few blocks away, this place is a great choice for a pre or post-show meal. Or maybe just some snacks and cocktails. read more

I really don't understand this place and am curious to know why other people do. Been here a few times throughout the years and each time disappoints. This time the food was sub par, the service not all that pleasant, the servers could never remember who ordered what, several people from our large group ordered oysters for themselves, but they put them on one large platter, the drinks took a while, etc. read more

I attended a birthday party here and loved the back room area where our group was seated. The drinks and appetizers were quite delicious and unique, and the food and beverages were not overpriced. They seemed a little understaffed but the staff who were working were very friendly. I enjoyed the experience and will keep Party Bar in mind next time I am in Eugene. read more

I've really enjoyed my time at the Party Bar. It's a great place to go before a concert or movie downtown. I really like their appetizer menu since I tend toward smaller servings. You'll want to make a reservation because the restaurant isn't very big and it fills up on weekends. Everything went great except for one rude staff member. I'm sure those who work there know exactly who I'm talking about. It wasn't personal and more likely a personality flaw. Went here for a work party a few weeks ago. It is a fun location and it is definately unique. If you are looking for regular pub like experiences, this is NOT it. Party Bar is a little swanky. The drinks are unusual but excellent. The food is limited but also amazing. We had deep fried gnocchi. A friend had the wings. I will say that bringing in a group overwhelmed them. Searched cocktails in Eugene before visiting and this place came up right away. All I can say is DANG. The cocktails were EXCELLENT and the food was fantastic. I got the nachos, even though I was a little hesitant about the "spiced lamb" but it was totally unfounded. They were insanely tasty. We also got a kale salad and THAT was insanely tasty, as well. I was super stoked to get the delicata skins with aged cheddar I saw on another version of their menu, but they weren't on the menu when I arrived. I was still pleased. Maybe next time! Well now that my daughter is a senior at UofO I finally discover restaurants that I'm crazy about! This is definitely one, and was a discovery of the aforementioned daughter....who takes after her Dad when it comes to being a foodie. Absolutely everything we had was delicious and creative. The menu is such that it's fun to order several items and just keep grazing. We started with the Brussel Sprouts which included pomegranate and cheese in a pesto sauce. Delicious!! Then moved into the Ahi tostados and had 3 of them. After that we all shared the Kale salad which was perfect! Loved it!Then we had a toasted cheese sandwich and their version of a Muffeleta. Fabulous! Great craft cocktails too! Since this place is my daughter's favorite I have no doubt we'll be back. It won't be hard to convince her. read more

Amazing how even during pandemic restrictions a marvelous restaurant can reinvent itself for the better. Party Bar is simply fantastic. You will never be disappointed trying one of their specialty cocktails. And the menu is always chock full of remarkable choices. We find the burgers and veggie burgers to be the best we have had anywhere. They are our favorites and everything else on the ever changing menu is also super. read more

Finally had a chance to check out Party Bar tonight. So happy to report it's everything I hoped. It's like Party Downtown's hip sister. Hubby & I went and sat at the bar for the eve. Had a lovely visit with bar staff and bar neighbors. We opted for appetizers & cocktails. Every bite was delish. We ordered both food and trunks in two rounds and it was just right. A much needed addition to Eugene's downtown cocktail scene. Party Bar pulls off being both swanky and hip. I used to go to party downtown just for cocktails but their bar space was a bit stuffy and small. This was a great remedy, opening up an entire bar connected to the restaurant. Went for their raw oyster happy hour (Sunday's 4-10pm) and the cocktails, oysters (who doesn't love $1 oysters!?), and other food was all exceptional. Servers were all friendly and helpful with suggestions, and I'm convinced everything we would have tried would have been delicious anyway, as the whole menu sounds good! I will definitely be back soon, most likely on another Sunday to take advantage of the oyster happy hour I have been longing for here in Eugene. So happy Party Bar finally filled that gap. read more

Had a truly amazing lunch here while in town visiting family. We ordered a bit of everything and were not disappointed. Everything was fresh, interesting and delicious. Favorites were the black bread with preserved lemon, flower petals and crab on top, and warm corn bread in a tiny iron skillet with truffle butter and honey. We also tried the fish tostadas, the burgers, the veggie burgers and the breakfast Sammie. It looks like the menu changes seasonally so I look forward to seeing what's offered the next time I am in town. read more

Downtown people go here for lunch! It was not busy and the food/timing was perfect for lunch schedules. They have a fried chicken slider that is unfricken believable but you won't fall asleep at your desk. You know of the food coma a heavy lunch can induce! My companion had the breakfast sandwich I had a bite, this biscuit is perfect! The rest is good, but we all know the biscuit makes or breaks a good breakfast sandwich. I want to be alone with it, I've been thinking about how to get back for my own all week. If you have a palate you'll love this place and appreciate what they are doing. Fun spot. A good place to feel swanky. Nice local wine selection and small plates. When I recall my impressions of the food, it all seems to come down to textures... My favorite was the duck egg, which had a melty texture and a nice balance of sweet and savory. The fried gnocchi had an addictive chewy floury texture that's hard to describe, and was hard to stop eating. (Albeit a fairly ordinary flavor.) And the pickles were pretty tasty, but the drawback was the eggplant pickle, which I found a bit slimy. And that's saying something because eggplant is my favorite, always. Atmosphere was lively, clean-cut, and well-designed; the drawback to liveliness is noise level, with sounds bouncing off all that clean-cut hard-edged decor. I lost my voice a bit by the end. Don't let the name deceive you; unnecessarily loud and awkward music doesn't make anything a party. Some girlfriends and I had dinner here before heading to the Hult for the Bob Dylan concert, and it was the perfect spot for our pre-concert soirée. My friend had the veggie burger, which she said was delicious, and her friend had the kale salad and chicken slider. The salad was small and, well....kale, but the chicken slider was overflowing with yumminess. Definitely the perfect little appetizer. This is comfort food with a couple of extra stars for creativity and class. I had the "Airline Chicken," which was a chicken breast with choice of sides. The chicken was a little tough, but tasty. The corn bread was divine and the collard greens, tangy and satisfying. Our meals were prepared well and the presentation was hip. Lastly, my friends had wonderful cocktails from the extensive bar, as well as Italian Chardonnay which they loved. I ordered dinner for my husband and me from their website. There was no indication anything was wrong and in fact the website showed a few things Out of stock so I felt confident it was up-to-date. I paid for two entrées and waited and got a 2nd email from them confirmation from their system that my order had been accepted and that I should head down and get it a few minutes after a first email saying my order was received. When I was a few minutes away someone texted me and said hey I don't know why the system took your money we're not open today actually because tomorrow is a holiday so we will refund you when we come back to the restaurant Thursday four days from now. i said that was too bad and it Seemed like a bad deal to get an email confirmation head down there only to learn I'm not getting food and you're keeping my money for four days. I thought that might prompt them to actually not keep my money for four days but that was not going to happen. The texter just replied snippily that it was what it was and that it was bad for them as well. I said it's actually not quite as bad for you because I'm the one not getting any food and you're the one who's keeping my money for four days. they said the second email confirming they accepted my order was meaningless and the system automatically sends them. Just know this could happen to you don't trust it and dont trust your money with them they're rude too. like why not take some responsibility for the situation when you took an unusual day off and no one updated the website settings? bummer for them they will tell you. poor them. they will be big babies while not taking any responsibility for something that could have easily been prevented by a competent web person read more

A surprise find! Sophisticated place with a not so sophisticated name. Cool interior with seating at the bar, tables, a nice looking 'living room' area, or outside. Server arrived promptly with water. Had a Prosecco and a homemade strawberry soda. Food order was Hamburger w/ swiss, served on a nice sturdy ciabatta-ish roll, Veggie Burger, gnocchi 'nuggets,' Kale salad, a vegetable special of Japanese turnip, and an order of their sourdough bread. Burgers were served with an aioli type sauce and slightly sweet pickled vegetables. Very good. Gnocchi bites were dusted w/ flour and fried, served with a creamy sauce, as well as an apple butter sauce. They could have been a little crispier for me, but that's just a preference. The turnip was sautéed and had the consistency of sautéed mushrooms. Good, not overpowering taste. The sourdough was great. Thick cut and firm to the touch, the bread had just the right amount of 'sour.' I topped off dinner with a sparkling rosé, which was also a good choice. I *might* question the pour, but it may also have been that it was a sparkling wine served in a red wine glass. Not really a complaint. Will certainly be back on the next trip to Eugene. read more
