First time trying this place and I must say it's pretty good. The Thai is good and is a great size. I order a plate of chicken fried rice and it was pretty tasty. The service is fast and polite. I didn't have to wait long at all. The menu has sooooo much in there it took me awhile to choose because I kept switching it up. There is so many plates I want to try. By far the best pho in Pasadena and one of the best in the LA area. Broth is excellent and the meat is perfect. They have chili oil and serve the meat raw which is exactly what I look for. It's incredible that Pasadena folk rate this at 3.5 stars and rate other garbage white washed food at 4.5/5 stars. There are very few good restaurants in Pasadena and this is one of them. read more

Unexpectedly good pho and pork chop. I've been here about three times with my wife and it is our go to spot for pho in Pasadena. Service is quick and friendly, even on hot summer days, plenty of parking because it's in the same lot as Vons (but a bit hectic sometimes). Their pho broth is not salty and has a even savory flavor, try it first before adding all the Sriracha sauce. Pork chop just tastes good and makes my belly happy. Not ashamed to boast about this place, highly recommend and will keep coming back. read more

I absolutely LOVE this place, and I love it even more because it's within walking distance of my home! This is the first and only place I've ever eaten Pho, and it was such a great experience! The food is delicious and moderately priced. I always get the beef Pho, it's so delicious! The broth is always perfect and doesn't need any extra seasonings (I still like to add a little hoison sauce and sriracha!). They are always happy to bring out extra condiments if need be. I always ask for extra cilantro and lime, yummy! I have also had their thai tea and it is perfect, no complaints about that, either! Last time I went I did decide to try the egg rolls, and would have rather got the pho instead. It's not that they didn't taste good, but they were too oily, and there was a fishy odor (It was a vegetarian egg roll...) I have never had problem finding parking, not even on the weekend, even though it is in a plaza with a lot of popular shops. Anyway, I could eat here everyday (and COULD afford to, because a bowl of Pho is only $7 tops!) Great deal, yummy food! read more

Whatever. On a whim, my bride of ten years and I brought out kids (6, 2, and 6 months) here for a quick Sunday night dinner. Upon entering, an employee shouts from behind the counter "How many?" Not "Hello!" or "Welcome to Pasadena Noodle" or even a sheepish grin. Because I was immediately annoyed, I told him "Two" and took the nearest table. About ten minutes sitting there with kids getting antsy, the same guy approaches the table and says "what you like." I ordered a big bowl of Pho special (the works) and wife got the Tai chin. The kids shared like a Bun Tom Thit Cha Gio. The server brought waters and milks for the kids (lids on the milks were a nice touch)... Brought the food a few minutes later, and was gone forever. No return to see how things were going, no more water. No check brought to the table. Game over, man. The pho was lackluster-- blandish broth, and light on the noodles and meat. Rooster and Hoisin helped a bit... But at nearly $10 for the big bowl? Nah, we're done here. Well, we tried and scratched this one off the list. If you don't know what you like when it comes to Pho, you might like this place. If you're a big Pho snob like I am, then you're better off making the drive to Alhambra or Monterey Park or even Westminster. I wanted this place to be good because it's so close... This place is overall ok food, location, environment, etc. Outside of that,the staff could work on service quality and hospitality. I found this place to be lacking in this area. No smiles :(.
