I was here last year and decided to do a getaway again to Paso Robles. Received a "reduced rate" and although not blown away by the reduction, I certainly wouldn't stay here at full price. Room is quant and quirky. The wardrobe unit layout is odd making you feel like you have to live out of your suitcase. Love the gardens and grounds. Fire pits here are a must, though the one nearest our room was out of commission for a day. I do like that every day we stayed, our room was refreshed. Housekeeping was on it! Wasn't happy that we had an upstairs room requiring us to haul our luggage up the stairs.

King bed in Garden Studio ~ very soft & comfy.

We came here for one reason, the outdoor hot springs tub, enjoyed in the serene privacy of our own balcony. Located in the heart of Paso, just steps from the charming tree-lined historic square. Founded over 150 years ago it exudes an old-world charm, complimented by lush gardens filled with towering oak trees, fragrant roses, and koi-filled ponds. For added privacy we requested a second-floor room, though curtains are provided for those who prefer a more uninhibited soak. The Garden Studio was wonderful, with a comfy king bed, 55" screen for my man, convenient parking right out front our door, heated outdoor pool and hot tub, on-site dining options, and offers pet friendly rooms. Our stay was 5 stars in every way. I was just about to book a future stay when I learned that all hot springs tubs have been removed. What a disappointing loss and giving me no reason to ever return. Truly a bittersweet farewell to an experience that should have remained untouched.

This hotel recently went through a remodel and it looks great! The rooms are more modern and the courtyard is more welcoming and relaxing to hang out in. They have fire pits, a coi pond, lawn games, and electric bikes you can use. They do have 2 EV chargers so those fill up quick. Lots of restaurants in walking distance and a Farmers market on the weekends right out front.

Our first room had serious hygiene issues, including insects and visible mold in the shower. My wife had to go to our friend's room to take a shower in order to make it on time to our reservation. After reporting this to the front desk we were moved to the second room; however, this room has extremely poor water pressure, making the shower unusable. We returned to our room late at night and tried to take a shower and found out that water pressure was too low. It was too late to move to a different room or go to a friend's room. I reported this as well to the front desk the next morning. We had a very frustrating and unpleasant experience. The employee at the front desk who by the way was very professional and helpful, told me that he will leave a note on the account to someone from the management call us after the weekend but no one has contacted us yet. I have left voicemails and sent emails with videos attached and the manager Vincent Gary is refusing to contact me.

So empty.... they charged us $900 for 2 nights. Room was dirty, they don't offer water, the AC does not work, and the bed is uncomfortable. Restaurant was empty but they still require a reservation. Cup of coffee was $13. Pool is very small and you can't play music. Looks big in pictures but it's tiny. Service is terrible. Don't look back. Steak is like leather. Too tough to even chew. Don't be fooled by pictures of the cabanas by the pool. The pool is tiny and full of little kids. And, they advertise a free wine tasting.... but it's a joke. They will send you to a different location where they will offer you one tiny sample of a cheap wine? Place is ridiculous. Don't waste your time or money.

    That's the dog area.

Pretty disappointed with our stay here this past weekend. Much of the property was under construction (which is fine, this happens), but for the price we paid, we did expect it to be a bit more comfortable for our animals. There was no grassy area, just a small corner of dirt under a tree with some poop bags. A different area of grass had chocolate brownies all over the ground - so we couldn't use that. The walls are really thin - so we could hear our neighbors answer the phone at 6:00am and hear the entire conversation as they spoke normally. I'm sure then that they heard us get up every 2 hours the entire night to let our puppy out to pee in the sad dirt corner. The service at reception was very friendly and that was probably the nicest bit .... Otherwise, I would definitely not stay here again despite the convenient location.

The Paso Robles Inn is in a great location. Its in the center of downtown which makes it a great point to walk to many restaurants, coffee houses, businesses and right across from the park. All of the wineries we did tastings at were within 10 to 30 minutes from the Paso Robles Inn. They do charge $18 a day for parking and do not guarantee parking close to your room. They have multiple spots throughout the property. They have a steakhouse for breakfast lunch and dinner. They do have an upstairs bar that opens at 4pm daily. We stayed in the Park King Suite which was close to the front of the Inn. The room itself was spacious as it had a separate living area from the bedroom. It provides a mini fridge, wine glasses, wine opener, keurig, and tea kettle. This will come in handy for early risers as most things here open later in the day. You will find one or two coffee spots that might open early but most won't open until 7 or 8 am. The room also had a private patio that faces the interior of the complex which was nice to relax in the evenings. My wife and I both agreed the bed was not the most comfortable but we made it work. We did have coffee and breakfast and the Inn's restaurant and both were delicious. The staff was super nice and friendly. From the cleaning staff , front desk, restaurant host to the bartenders and servers at the bar we never had a bad interaction with anyone. We enjoyed our stay at the Inn and would gladly stay again.

Fantastic hotel in the heart of downtown Paso. Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Lobby was cozy and stocked with inexpensive snacks you could enjoy by the fire, and the grounds were so serene. We stayed in a king fireplace room and it was absolutely perfect for our chilly December visit. The fire place served as the heater and was controlled by the thermostat, so it spent most of the time we were in the room on. We had a view of the pool and hot tub, unfortunately didn't make a trip down this time, but looked like a nice area with pretty landscaping. Truly such a great place to stay that's about as central as you can get. Loved that we were able to walk to breakfast and dinner everyday. You'll still need to drive to wineries unless you're just going to the downtown tasting rooms.

We stayed here for the night. We stayed in the king suite. The place and room was great. The reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is there were some discrepancies. The first being the bed was advertised as a king but was only a queen and the second was that it said there was a microwave but did not have one. The microwave is not as big a deal as paying for a king size bed only to be smaller. The pool and jacuzzi was nice. While in there another couple mentioned they were also expecting a king bed but had a queen. Overall, the workers were super nice, the place was clean, and super close to downtown for walking to places.

Two sinks plus a wet bar sink and micro

The history alone is enough to get you through the door, but the wine is what keeps you there. Pair the tasting with all the stories behind the winery, and it's easily one of the more interesting experiences in Paso. The staff is also incredibly friendly and makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The patio is a beautiful spot to taste, and if you're there later in the day, the sunset views are hard to beat. Definitely do the free cave tour while you're there. It's one of the coolest winery tours I've been on. The caves are a massive labyrinth carved into the hillside and naturally stay around 55 degrees year round, which is where they age a lot of their wine before bottling. Even if you've been to a lot of wineries, this is something a little different. At the time I'm writing this, tastings are still complimentary, which is almost unheard of these days. If you go, do them a favor and leave with a bottle or two. That's how places like this are able to keep offering experiences like this, and honestly, you'll probably want to take some wine home anyway.

When we checked in and got to our room, the property felt completely empty. We were the only guests we could see, which made the whole place feel eerie and uncomfortable. We walked around the entire property and saw no one. There were only three cars in the parking lot, including ours and the front desk employee's car, yet we were told they were "fully booked" when we asked about moving to a larger room. The room itself was not great. The bed is extremely hard and squeaks with every movement. On top of that, the AC does not work. We told the front desk before leaving for dinner about the AC and were told someone would come fix it. When we returned, the room was even hotter than before & it felt like walking into a sauna. The windows don't open, so the only way to get air in is by opening the doors, which obviously lets bugs in. The "free wine tasting" was also frustrating. At check-in, we were told that we would get complimentary tastings at the tasting room. When we went to the tasting room, we were told they were "too busy" for tastings and that we would need to buy glasses of wine instead. We didn't want to make a scene, so we ended up purchasing a bottle and a glass, which came out to $85 & we never received the tastings we were told were included with our stay. Overall, this has been a terrible experience. Between the uncomfortable room, broken AC, lack of guests/staff on the property, and being denied the complimentary tasting we were promised, I would not recommend staying here. Do not let the 4.6 rating fool you.
