I originally planned on going to another restaurant nearby but it had a super long wait and someone recommended that we go to Pasquale's. At first I was bummed that our original place didn't work out but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. We all loved this place! It was very spacious so we were seated right away, the hostess even strategically sat us away from the window because it was cold. They brought out warm, fresh bread with this delicious oil dip and then brought free refills after we devoured it. The bathrooms were very clean and actually smelled pretty amazing. My mom asked if she could get sweet potato fries and even though they weren't on the menu they were able to give them to her. She strongly recommends them but said they could have used some honey or something to dip them in. We were also impressed when we got the bill. I had family visiting from out of town and they were at East Aurora so we went to Pasquale's because there's something for everybody on the menu. Typical Italian fare a little bit on the pricey side for a chain restaurant. My son got penne with butter and it was 6.99 I thought that was a little high. I did venture a little bit on the wild side and try the pickle pizza. I'm not quite sure what I thought of it. Wasn't as good as I was hoping but I don't think it's on the restaurant I think that's just on the fact that it's pickle pizza. Their crust is really crispy and yummy. I have to admit that this time I was not pleasantly surprised I was just surprised. Where I normally have 5 stars for Pasquale's this time they failed to deliver. I love Pasquale's. Normally no matter what location I go to I always get the best food with the best service. Not this time. We went there for a retirement party so there were about 10 of us. The staff was excellent. Very attentive on drinks and swift to take our orders. However it did take a while to get our drinks in the first place. I don't know if that was a bar issue or what. It was past night or something like that (special menu) so most of us ordered off that. I can only speak for myself and what I ate, but it was tasteless watery sauce and mushy pasta. Even the meatballs seemed off. I imagine it was the fact that it was pasta night so a lot of the things were pre-made and just sitting in the back waiting for orders. Pasquales is alright! The menu is big but not overwhelmingly so. I went with a Bambino (personal) pizza, which I asked for without olives....and then it came out with a crap ton of olives. The waiter apologized profusely, took it off the bill, and offered to have it remade. Me being me I didn't make a big deal out of it and thought "I'm grown arse woman. I'm going to lady-up and try olives again rather than waste food." Turns out I'm fine with olives! Overall I thought the pizza was darn good! It was loaded with toppings! (Though if you are kind of person to pick things off, I warn you they will be UNDER the cheese). Pasquale crust is pretty bomb good- pillowy yet slightly crunchy. The size was very adequate- have it with a side salad it make for a really nice dinner. My fiance ordered the clams and linguine. The menu advertised a pound of clams (not counting shells?) and I'm pretty sure he got it. I kept stealing bites and thought it was super delicious. Pasquales produces solid food! For a Tuesday night the service was a touch slow to start with. I had the feeling we had a waiter in training maybe? Nice joint in East Aurora. Italian food is a favorite of mine. Ordering a staple pasta with sauce is a comfort food, and is honestly very difficult to mess up. As the old adage says, "It's all in the sauce." Pasquale's offers a great marinara sauce. It's sweet and well spiced (not too salty), and doused over some pasta -- it's sure to please. The ambiance was on the fancier side, with a nice wall of wines to gaze at while you enjoyed your meal. Many of the servers were on the older side (late 40s-50s), which I have no problem with, but ours seemed like she didn't want to be at work on this particular afternoon. It was pretty nice outside, so I can't blame her... but I would have enjoyed the experience more if she'd done a better job of hiding it. She also seemed like she was only there to "up-sell" us, and was trying to make her mortgage/rent off of our table of three people, and actually seemed annoyed every time we didn't want an appetizer or dessert. The meals were about $15-16 per person, and included salad or soup. I had the stuffed shells, which came with 4 per order. The portion seemed lunch-sized, but we came in around 4pm, so they may have been transitioning to a dinner menu. When it came time to leave our server was difficult to find, despite the restaurant being mostly empty. We eventually had the hostess go ask her to come back because we felt funny leaving cash on the table unattended. All in all, the place was okay, but I wouldn't rush to go back. read more

Dad liked his linguine with white clam sauce, but said it could have been "juicier". Sorry, but I can't remember what the other two members of our party ordered. I appreciated the option of soup or salad, and that caesar salad is one of the options. Good salad, but BIG. Dinner portions are huge as well. Everything was good, but not the "OMG, SO delicious!" I give 4 and 5 stars to. Service was fine for the most part, but bread came after the mussels, salads arrived before we were finished with our appetizer, and dinners were delivered before we were done with our salads. I have visited the take out counter here on several occasions....I usually just get their pizza which imo is very good.... I like to get pizzas with several toppings - pepperoni, bacon, onion, hot pepper, green olive is usually my favorite.....I usually get the "bambino" or personal size pizza here....The reason being is that it is usually cooked all the way through being a smaller size.....I have gotten a larger size from them before, and it seemed like it wasn't quite as cooked.....Sometimes with this many toppings the pizza can get a little soggy, and not cook as much.....Then it comes down to what the pizza maker knows, and if they know how to deal with the situation....Lots of younger kids work here, so it is understandable...... So like I said I stick to my bambino....The other day I got pepperoni, bacon, hot pepper, and onion....I also got a side of their really good blue cheese (it comes in a nice whopping 3 oz. size)....I have to say that it was pure bliss....the pizza was cooked perfect, and along with that blue cheese I was in pizza heaven,,,,,The only negative I have with the bambino is that it is really small...Maybe the size of 1 and 1/2 regular size slices....That pizza came in at $10.84 with the blue cheese....A bit pricey for the amount you get.... I enjoy the food whenever I'm passing through East Aurora or I go out to eat with my grandmother. I love the stuffed shells and the mozzarella sticks....to die for whether if you dine in or take out. Pizza could use more sauce though. A couple things though. #1. If you plan on taking out for dinner. Do so at the least busiest times 3PM-5PM. #2. While I didn't partake in the atmospheric dining room (replete with Cella Luna playing over NFL Saturday), we did get a metric ton of takeout to celebrate a certain gal's certain birthday. That's all you get, Nosey Magoo. It's decent quality, serving second fiddle to the real star of Pasquale's: the staff. Every voice and face set a gold standard for ensuring customer satisfaction, and I've no doubt they would've made another sheet had they known our couldn't last longer than 20 minutes out of the oven. (And again, that pizza dough just turns to glue it's so thick!) So yes, I would definitely give Pasquale's another go, and this time, in the ol' brick and stone DR. Upon arriving I was pleased to discover that the lighting was dim, there were tables as well as booths and there was a warm old world atmosphere. I had spaghetti and meat sauce. This is my favorite Italian restaurant nearby my home, and has been for years. Doesn't matter what you order, everything looks and tastes like it was made especially for you. Service is always great, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. Wine selections are plentiful, and very reasonably priced. Plenty of parking in their lot, and they also have a take out pizza take out on the far side. If you just want a drink while smelling the food, they have a very small and cozy bar to the right as you walk in. Restaurant seating is all comfortable, except for the small 2 person booths,- avoid sitting there. They also have a back room that is even more private. Daily specials available. Love this place, I lived in East Aurora back in my 20's (When Jubilee was around and the Bar Bill stayed open till 5:00 a.m.) and now I'm visiting and I'm in my early 40's (Still 20 in my mind, lol). So we have been ordering out from Pasquale's for years and years. Their steak bomber is one of my favorite subs anywhere but I'm giving it 2 stars because 8 out of 10 times we order it they get the order wrong. We request no onions and 8 out of ten times there are onions. I don't understand what the problem is. I know we should just order somewhere else but I really do love this sub. My daughter and I went in for lunch and had an awful waitress. We were her only table and she was no where to be found. I've actually never had a bad meal here so it makes me sad to give this 2 stars. I'm hoping if the owner or manager actually reads the reviews they will do something and I can up my stars if some actions are taken. Like telling their cooks to actually read the orders. read more

This place is garbage. I come home once a year and come to find out that this place now does only reservations for dinner. I cannot believe how this place has gone down hill. First they change the food, prices go up and now reservations at night for parties over 4. This casual place to come with your family and enjoy what I thought was one of the best pizzas in WNY has seriously dissappinted me. I will not be returning or ordering from them. Jiminy. Jeepers. Those western New Yorkers do not screw around with their pizza. Rustic, family filled, and bustling, Pasquale's is hopping at dinner time. Our server was pleasant (though slow, and she forgot to give us back our credit card - something we discovered 24 hours later), and the food. was. unbelievable. Here in Boston, we Yanks enjoy garlic as a standard pizza topping. Well, most people call it garlic. I call it crack. I guess this is sort of alien to folks in Eerie County, because it took me a while to explain to our bewildered server that I wanted garlic atop my pie. No, no, not garlic sauce. No, not garlic olive oil. Yes, cheese. With garlic. You know...garlic. (I asked WNY natives about this, and yes, most thought I had been hit hard on the head when I mentioned garlic on a pie. So in this case, it's me.) I guess the pizza chefs were just as confused by my unusual-for-WNY request, because they essentially DROWNED my pizza in minced garlic. I actually thought it was part of the sauce until I looked closer. This thing was so loaded with garlic that I could feel it burn. I think this would have been too much for most people, but in my case, I loved it. Bring it oooooon, garlic. I adored my garlic overload, but it was also to the chagrin of my friends. No one could get too close to me for the rest of the evening. When i laughed, people ducked. One teeny little burp cleared the room (sorry, was drinking a soda!). So while the pizza was amazing and the garlic was plentiful, I'll have to consider my later plans before indulging in Pasquale's again. I have been to this location many times and pretty much always get the pepperoni pizza and the antipasto salad. Of course I don't eat all of this myself, it's always split amongst a few people. Anyways, I'm not a big cheese and pepperoni pizza fan, but I really like theirs here. The sauce is so good as well as the crust. The antipasto salad is really good too and they have the best Italian dressing I've had in Buffalo. The service here is always excellent and the wait staff is always so nice. As a tradition, we and my in-laws go out for fish/dinner on Friday nights. Our regular haunt has seen a recent decline in the quality of our food so we've relocated to this establishment. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with decor gives a Mediterranean flavor focusing on wine; Very tasteful for an Italian American place. The wait staff is decent and performs at their best when it's less crowded (obviously). The menu is quite extensive which, to me, works to their disadvantage. Most of the dishes are seasoned and cooked in near identical fashion. I tend to be pretty picky about Italian food, and they fall into the Americanized, overly rich category. That being said, their fish dinners are very pleasant. The meat is cooked well and the sides are adequate. I wish they had a mashed potato option seeing as the offer baked and french fries. There's a great wine list with lots of choices for both by-the-glass and bottles. I was happy with my Tuscan blend. And, it was nice that you can get a choice of a 6 or 9 ounce pour. The menu has a huge choice of all of the usual Italian favorites. I chose a half order of Spaghetti Parmesan. It came with soup or a salad and bread & butter. I chose the salad and couldn't have been happier! Lots of fresh, crunchy greens, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, garbanzo beans, olives, onions, and croutons.... and a great house-made Italian dressing were a perfect start to my meal. And, the bread was warm and tasty. Butter was served in little packets (meh!) I was very happy that I chose a half order of pasta because that half was huge! The spaghetti was a bit over-cooked, but the flavor of the dish was terrific with a great tomato sauce and the perfect amount of cheese. Pasquale's has their Chicken tender sub down flat, with lots of franks hot sauce and real blue cheese dressing. Sublimely tangy and down right delicious. As I was trying to be a good girl, I ordered a lunch soup/salad special this time around and enjoyed it blissfully. In the garden salad there are sweet cherry tomatoes, red onions, pepperincinnis, black olives and shredded mozzerella. This salad with ranch dressing is bested only by greek salad, and in my book, that's second best. 2nd may not be 1st, but it's sort of up there; and with the addition of seafood chowder my mouth, "Mmmm," to the end.
