Sales person wasn't super helpful but she was present and tried calling owner twice to ask for any discount on price. But zero budging.They didn't even ask for our number for follow up or anything. They didn't seem to want our business at all...or even try to negotiate at all. Disappointing experience but I can only guess it's because they feel their prices are reasonable so I'll tell y'all now so you don't come there thinking you can get any kind of negotiation in play and waste your time. BUYER BEWARE!!!! We live out of state and purchased a used Audi Q7 from this dealer. After we received the vehicle via delivery, we found so many issues with the vehicle that were not disclosed to us. When I started to tell him about all the issues that were not disclosed to us he argued with me stating we waived the 3rd party inspection and hung up on me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The car needed an alignment badly, 2 cracks in the windshield, the driver visor was broken and filthy, inside the center console was filthy, only 1 key fob when we were told there was 2, the ceiling of the trunk was riddled with black streaks, multiple body scrapes and scratches. It was so disheartening to think a dealer would send a car to someone like this. As of right now we have spent over $600 to ger the car exterior and interior detailed and get the alignment fixed. The 2 windshield cracks have not been fixed yet which will be another cost will we will have to put out. We simply want compensated for these issues! Read carefully. I bought a used vehicle from this location and was later reminded that that's what happens when you buy a used vehicle from an employee of this location. I reached out to their main Mechanic, Arthur. He proceeded to tell me to keep driving the vehicle and the check engine light would turn off. I returned the vehicle within a week, and they held the vehicle from us two months. As I continue to ask questions about the progress of the vehicle, I was told it was fixed and to keep driving it and the check engine light would eventually go off. Again, he seemed to know about the vehicle and was acting very friendly about it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Calling me, Homie and Brother for comfort reasons.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I took it to another mechanic and got a proper reading. I traded in a car and bought a car here. The car I bought was cheaper than almost any comparable model across the US. I got lowballed on my trade in, but got them up some. If you want top notch service, no need to DYOR, and so on, then go pay $10k+ more on a car somewhere else. Bought a car & was told it had remaining factory warranty however day after the purchase I learnt the warranty had expired several months ago. I would like to rate Passport Motors lower than 1 star. It would be a negative zero. The worst car purchase I've made thus far. Based on prior reviews and personal references, I chose Passport Motors with the expectations of a luxury car buying experience. From the moment the car was purchased, the experience was downgraded. I went from buying a like new car to "it's a used car," in the words of the saleswoman, Ariana. The car was transported from Passport Motors to New Orleans, LA. This is not my first luxury and/or out-of-state car purchase, but this was my first and worst experience with a car purchase. When the car arrived, I immediately called sales associate Ariana as the car was coming off the truck to let her know the car's condition did not look like the pictures. The car had several scratches, a chipped windshield, and severe front-end damage (the car wasn't connected properly when transporting - the transporter was also rude and a little rough with the car), amounting in over $3,000 of repairs. In addition, I had to replace the rim and tire upon arrival. It was delivered filthy dirty (didn't even bother to vacuum the interior). I asked to speak to the General Manager about this issue multiple times - Ariana refused to provide direct contact and no voice messages were returned. I have contacted Ariana and the Transportation company via phone and email several times to try and resolve this issue, and no one will respond and/or take responsibility. Therefore, I am left with a huge repair bill that I did not anticipate having when purchasing a luxury vehicle from a notable dealership. More things are falling apart with the car - piece by piece. I was an out-of-state buyer and the buying process has been extremely long and stressful. I worked with Rosy and she got me a good interest rate on the loan. Aside from this, it's been all discontent and anxiety working with her in particular, and Passport Motors in general. After submitting the application, it took a week for the bank to approve the loan, although my credit score is exceptional. I called the bank and they said it only takes this long when the dealer doesn't send information timely, which was the case for me. I did call Rosy about it every day that week, and she kept saying she'll call back in 10 minutes and never did. I had to call and call to push her to do her job. Finally, the following week, after the loan was approved and they were supposed to ship the car, she called and told me they found a tire issue and it will be a few days until they can fix it. At this point, I was extremely anxious, had read all the negative reviews, and lost sleep over my fairly large downpayment. I asked to talk to the manager and they put me through Arturo/Arthur. He explained they found a hairline crack in a wheel on shipping day and can't send the car. He offered to send me a pic of the car's wheel being replaced (see attached). This photo just raised my anxiety level: it's someone working unprofessionally on a car that's not raised on a platform. Could have been any car and I never received documentation for repairs. Finally, after many threats that I'm pulling out, the car is ready and Ariana shows it via a Whatsapp video call. She seemed super nice and professional, quite the opposite of Rosy. Because the image on Whatsapp calls is not perfect, I asked Ariana if she sees any scratches, as, in the online pictures, the car appeared perfect. She said she doesn't notice anything but some dirt. They ship the car at the end of the second week. when I get it, it's dirty outside and inside and has plenty of deep and superficial scratches (see some photos), that were documented in the Passport Motors dealership, at pick up, by the transportation company. So the scratches were there all along. At arrival, the car also had "Contact Roadside Assistance" error messages on the board, with all four tires showing issues. I send an email about the scratches and error messages to Ariana and Rosy and Ariana replies, after a few days, with their standard response: you purchased the car "as is". As they did not disclose any cosmetic or mechanical issues, either in pictures or conversations/video call, their "as is" misrepresented the condition of the car. Went for state inspection (VA) the next week. The car wouldn't pass inspection (see pics), because all tires had issues, one being pierced in several places. So Passport Motors advertised and sent a car that wasn't drivable, disregarding any safety issues for the buyer. The issues didn't stop there. Rosy didn't send paperwork to DMV until almost two months after my purchase. When she did, she sent the wrong check and had to resend it, causing further delays. At the end of last week (Oct 19th), I finally got my registration and plates, having started the purchasing process on August 21. Because of their delay in sending documents, today I got a letter from the bank stating they have not received the title from my state that secures my car loan with them. Judge for yourself. To me, the employees of Passport Motors are either highly unmotivated and incompetent or highly unethical. Can't tell you how stressful this has been. If you're wondering why they have so many positive reviews, let me tell you that, when going over all of them, I noticed that their own employees have left reviews (e.g., Ariana's name and picture are there and I've seen her, so I know it's her). Not that they couldn't have purchased a car themselves, but surely they do not have a typical purchasing experience. PLEASE READ - SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES I purchased a used, 1 owner 2016 BMW x6m from this dealership on 3/9/2019 for $64,500. I live in Ausitn, but found the vehicle online via autotrader. I contacted the dealership and they told me that they did not actually have the vehicle yet, that it was purchased at auction and was being shipped to Plano, Tx from San Francisco. I already knew I wanted this type of vehicle as I had test driven one locally but it sold before I could buy it. While speaking to Ben I inquired as to the condition of the vehicle. He assured me that the vehicle was in top shape, was a 1 owner car that was a lease return, and that once they received the vehicle they would do what was necessary to get it to tip top shape. I mentioned that I was concerned with any outstanding recalls, the life of the tires/brakes/wheels, the spark plugs, the oil, and the routine maintenance. I was again assured that there would be no issues and that all maintenance would be up to date. I agreed to purchase on this condition and gave a $1k down payment over the phone with an additional $11k that I would pay when I picked the vehicle up. Then, the vehicle did not arrive when he said it would, it was a few days late. I was OK with that. When the vehicle did arrive, I was not notified, I had to call in and confirm if they had the vehicle. Eventually, I made my way to the dealership in Plano, TX. I arrived to find that one of the gentleman who works at the dealership had taken another customer out in the vehicle I had put a down payment on and was letting him test drive it, because of this I could not inspect the vehicle but was again assured all work I requested was done, red flags should have went off. I went to Ben's office, filled out the paperwork. I noticed that the finance terms were not the same as we spoke about on the phone. I asked for a 60 month terms and what Ben had processed was a 66 month terms, albeit the same monthly payment red flags should have went off here. The sales menu that Ben did not send me originally had some extra charges in it. They charged me an additional $691 in fees that were never discussed. There should have been at most 350 in fees for title/registration/documents. This should have been a red flag After I sign the paperwork, maybe 10 minutes goes by and the person who test drove the vehicle is back at the dealership. I go out to look at the car and Ben lets me know I am good to go and mentions he had to replace one of the rims, which was odd because he had the car for about a day and a half, where did he get this new rim in such a short period of time?. I take my time to look around the vehicle and maybe 5 min goes by and Ben comes back and asks if everything is good and to leave, more red flags should have went off. I left and drove straight to Austin, stayed on the same road the entire time. After I got home, I noticed the rear tire, one of the tires that Ben said he replaced, was damaged. The rim has a small divet on the lip and the sidewall of the tire had a bad tear in it. I contacted Ben the next day and he said he didn't know about the issue but it could have been from shipping, which was odd because he was supposed to replace both tires. Ben agreed to pay for the tire to be replaced. I sent an email showing the cost of tire plus install was 422 + 38, Ben sent a check for 411, no idea where that number came from but its not even enough to buy the tire. I then noticed the brakes were squealing, I took the car to the BMW dealership where they said they read brake pads needed replaced and the rotors too. I sent Ben an email discussing this and he referenced the sale was 'as is - no warranty'. I will be taking PassportMotors to Small claims court over these issues. Ben has shown his true colors and does not want to honor our agreement. I went on a limb to trust the man on what he said he would do to make the vehicle ready for me to pick up. He abused my trust and I believe intentionally lied to me to make a sale when he knew I lived 3.5 hours away. This is an absurd way to do a $64,500 deal. this vehicle should be in top shape for that price. I feel that all that was done was I was sold the vehicle in the same condition as it was received from the auction. Car was advertised as not being in any wrecks and 1 owner. On 6/27/23 (the first day after receiving the vehicle from the dealer) the moon roof got stuck open and wouldn't close. I had to take it back and the dealer and they reprogrammed the car stating that this is normal sometimes after cars have been sitting on the lot for a while. The next day on 6/28/23 I noticed the front driver side tire was low on air pressure (at 27 psi per dash indicator) and filled it up to 35 psi. My wife left the next morning for Oklahoma in the new car, and while driving on the highway, a chunk of the run-flat came off the tire about 2 to 3 inches wide and 7 to 10 inches long. We had car towed to a discount tire and found out the tire that malfunctioned was a 3 year older tire (2016) that was put on the car. On July 4th when my wife returned, I noticed tire pressure warning light was on again. I aired it up and 2 days later the same thing. I took car up to Discount Tire to have the front driver side tire checked out to see if seal on new tire was off, and they reported that the rim had a crack in it. I informed the dealership that the car must have been in some sort of wreck due to my findings and they refused to help pay for the tires or the rims. I then took the car to a collision repair shop to have them inspect it to see if there might be any other signs of damage, and they found signs of a re-paint job and that the back door was not aligned properly and could tell some work had been done to it but didn't know the extent. They wouldn't dig into it unless I was filing a claim with insurance, because they didn't want to be liable if they couldn't put it back together for any reason. I then informed the dealership that I took the car to a collision repair shop and informed them of their findings and even had it in writing that I sent to them, and they still refused to stand behind their product or do anything about it. I told them the main selling points for my wife and I were that the Carfax and Auto Check both showed a clear title with no accidents, 1 owner and low milage. They informed me that there was nothing they will do about it and would not take back the car and that its my issue to deal with now. All I have to say now it "Buyers beware" and if you want to purchase a car from this place make sure you take the car to another mechanic and body shop to be checked out before signing for ANYTHING.... I called dealer to inquire if they had any room for negotiation on a car. First the salesman (John) didn't want to help me because I didn't have the stock number. This probably saved him a grueling 2-3 clicks on his computer. I mentioned I didn't and I was driving but it was likely the only 2016 X5 50i in grey with brown interior listed for $38,900. 10 seconds later without the stock ID he found it (again probably 2-3 extra clicks vs the stock number which without he was ready to end the call). I asked him if they had room because there were 3 other vehicles listed for $2-$3000 less but that I liked this color...INTERRUPTED....DONT WASTE YOUR TIME SIR CALL THEM!!! In any event a simple explanation or saying right now we can't come off our list price would have sufficed. Instead this guy was lazy and eager to hang up on me from the start. I have already been approved by my bank to purchase, I'm a legit buyer and this guy seemed to want to tell me to F off from the start. I see why they have such a poor rating. read more

There are dismissive salesmen and then, there was the salesman I dealt with at Passport today, lol. Came out of his office yawning and acted as if he could care less about earning my business. Perhaps it was because I was in tennis shorts, knit shirt, and tennis shoes. I dressed for the 95 degr temperature and drenching humidity but I guess I didn't meet HIS idea of a semi well off potential cash buyer. I purchased a 2011 BMW 528i from this company in 2015 and never regretted it. Great customer service; wonderful people and a great car. Arthur is a guy who understands the mechanics of BMW. He walked me through many minefields and today, I'm a happy BMW owner. I drive miles from South Grand Prairie just to get help from him. It's far and not easy, but its worth the journey. If you have to get your car serviced, you are bound to deal with understaffing, no one ever knowing when services are completed, and them not being transparent about their work. When you call, the receptionists will take your messages, but you will never get a call back. They kept my car for 2 months. No loaner car. I do not recommend conducting business here. read more

We were treated very poorly here. We questioned the value of a vehicle we drive from San Antonio to buy and were verbally abused by both owner and sales manager. The car was in much rougher condition than shown online and stated by their sales person over the phone. The vehicle has clearly has a front end accident that was not reported and needed the windshield and front bumper along with the entire under shield. It has sinkers burns in the seats and head liner. The interior was in rough condition and the exterior was much rougher than shown in pictures. They were unwilling to accommodate the needed repairs with lowering the price that was for a show room condition vehicle. I see a Cadillac online so go to drive it and notice it sounds a little off and the man did not catch his name is quick to say NO there is NOTHING WRONG with this car. Well cause car is under warranty and competitively priced So I still asked to see a carfax. As I sit way on the other side of the desk the lady pulls it up on her computer is trying to show it to me from feet away!!! In reading other posts about Passport motors selling previously damaged cars, i suspect is true and possibly why their prices are very competitive (possible buying the cars at auction that other dealers may not want). I bought a BMW 535 ix from Ben at Passport Motors 3 years ago with 19,000 miles; thus, under BMW manufactures warranty for another 2 years or 50,000 miles and a clean Carfax, so i felt comfortable buying the car. Within 1 week of owning it, 2 of the tires kept loosing air. I learned from BMW of Dallas that the 2 wheels were cracked from some type of driving damage; thus, air was leaking. Since the cause was due to a previous driver's damage and not a manufacturing defect, the wheels were NOT covered by the BMW warranty. I had to replace all 4 wheels at my own cost ($2,800). Last week i decided to sell this car and took it to a detail shop to have it cleaned up, etc. The shop showed me 2 panels of the car that had been re-painted most likely from an accident. This will result in me having to discount the car well below book value. So now i know that the car had been damaged prior to buying it despite a clean CarFax supplied to me by Ben at Passport Motors. I am not saying Ben or Passport absolutely knew it was damaged, but they did sell me a damaged car. read more

A few months ago, I was on an emergency hunt for a new car; I was searching for a specific model, and I found one on the Passport Motors website. Looking through the posted pictures, I spotted a few clues implying that it had been modified - definitely a lowered suspension, and a boost gauge hinted at modifications under the hood. Weary of these signs, I called to confirm them. The girl who answered the phone could provide absolutely no information, insisting that it was stock. So, I set up an appointment to go take a look at it myself for Saturday morning, a few days later. I continued my hunt and set several other prior appointments elsewhere while I waited. On Friday evening, since I was already in the area, I figured I'd stop by to at least see the vehicle from the outside. When I arrived at Passport Motors, I was informed by a girl working there that the vehicle had already sold a day prior. Lovely! - I was never notified of a pending sale; NO ONE bothered to call me and cancel the appointment. - I was not offered alternate options. I guess they weren't interested in my needs or my business. - Hearing that the mystery buyer "paid with cash" was something I found highly condescending on the girl's part, as I was prepared to cover the entire purchase with cash as well. And why should the form of payment matter, anyway? Needless to say, I found a very well-maintained stock model ELSEWHERE and got a better deal than I would have here. I don't recommend Passport Motors at all. As a potential client, I should have been treated with far more courtesy. read more

Got on chat with a sales guys and he promised to send me over a car fax report; no car fax. Called to ask about for a car fax and finally they said the car was already sold. I purchased my car back in December 2020 and here we are in August of 2021. I have had to take my car in 6 times for a check engine light issue. Every time I would take my vehicle in I would get a run around on the issue and then once it was claimed to be fixed a day later check engine light would come right back on. I had purchased an extended warranty thank goodness, but my time spent has been exhausting. So here we are my check engine light is now back on and I have had to take it back to the dealership, and they are now trying to charge me diagnostic testing and having to now drop my fuel tank to check lines on the car. I had words with the owner of the dealership who said, "he is sick of dealing with it and I will pay this diagnostic fee." Excuse me what??? Why am I out the expense and my time once again for another check engine light issue???? He then hangs up on me. This is so unbelievably crazy to me. He told me that I could not have my car until I pay for the diagnostic which when I dropped the car off was never told that I would be charged for that. Explain why the last 5 times I brought the vehicle in was I not charged for a diagnostic??? His response was because we are sick of dealing with it! I am warning anyone shopping for a vehicle stay clear of this dealership!!! They do not care about their customers, they will not get back with you in a timely fashion, they will sell you anything at your expense and all the problems that go along with that. read more

Buying a car is a big decision, finding the right used car for you is tuff. Finding a dealership that is honest, trustworthy, has great financing, and selling your perfect car at a great price...might seem impossible. At least I thought so, until I found Passport Motors! If you don't read any other reviews, read this one. It will be longer, but I'm pretty thorough, and I did my homework (Skip to paragraph 5 if you don't want to read my back story). By the end you will see why I will never buy a used car ANYWHERE ELSE! I was in the market for a used luxury vehicle, it took me over 2 months to find the perfect one, but I could not be happier with my car, and the service I received at Passport Motors. You might be reading that and thinking how could it take you that long? He must have unrealistic expectations, or overly picky? I wouldn't go that far, but I will say I set my standards high. Most importantly, I don't want to leave the car dealership asking myself if I just got screwed on my purchase, either because the vehicle had underlining issues, or the salesman gave me that vibe that something was off and I probably paid too much. What I was looking for was TRUST. Prior to my purchase I had went to 4 other car dealerships, test drove over 8 vehicles. I wont go into too much detail but here is what I found. Also, I'm not one to bash places so I won't say their names. Dealership 1, quoted me a price and when I came back from a test drive told me the vehicle was a higher price then quoted. When I asked how that could be, they informed me they gave me the wrong price. The vehicle "with that price" sold the day before and would not honor the original price quoted. Dealership 2, confirmed car was in stock, spoke with the "sales manager" who told me they would hold the keys for me as it was 45 mins from my house, when I got there they told me they just sold it. Dealership 3, I really liked the car, but I saw some cosmetic issues, and a couple of other red flags inside the vehicle. I asked to take the vehicle to get inspected. The sales manager got upset I would ask such a question, and told me I could not until I purchased it. Kinda defeats the purpose. Dealership 4, found a vehicle that seemed like it could be the one. They did let me do an inspection, but required a "refundable" deposit. Upon getting it inspected, I found it had been in a severe accident and needed about $4k in repairs to the engine and other major components. When I explained I did not want to buy the car as it was advertised as no accidents and no issues, but had multiple engine issues, they refused to give me the deposit back. Hopefully you've never experienced these issues, but if you have you can relate to the disappointment and frustration of going through that. After that, I continued to search for vehicles online, when I found Passport Motors. They had a great inventory of used luxury vehicles at a great price. They also have a bodyshop, and mechanic shop attached. I thought this was great as most of the other used car dealerships I went to, only serviced their vehicles prior to selling them. This also built confidence that if I had a future issue, they could fix it. When I called, I spoke with a gentlemen named Arthur. He was fantastic! I spoke with him on the phone about the vehicle I was interested in. He was able to answer all of my questions in detail and give me a great understanding prior to me coming in. I got a different vibe right off the bat when I called and I was very excited to test drive my car. When I arrived to Passport Motors I was greeted by Rosy. To my understanding she is in charge of all of their financing. I had already obtained financing prior to coming in, but since my credit was already pulled for my initial inquiry I figured it might not hurt to shop around. The credit app was very simple and done online. Upon receiving it, Rosy went over different term lengths and APR. She really went out of her way to make sure I received the best term. I really appreciated this. I have great credit, but she was able to save me 2% APR less than my original financing. I would have never thought that would be the case but I would definitely recommend having them get you a quote. Arthur and his team really went above and beyond. When I picked up the vehicle it looked BRAND NEW. It wasn't just some quick wash to sell the car, but detailed cleaned. The floors were vacuumed in a way that resembled fresh cut grass! To me it just showed how Passport Motors takes care of their clients, and the level of service I can expect when servicing my vehicle. I hope this short novel shows you how pleased I am with Passport Motors and their staff! As I said in the beginning I will never buy a used car anywhere else, and neither should you. read more

I bought a BMW from this dealership on December 28th. (Fortunately I purchased an extended warranty) As we are driving off the lot the sales person, Rosy, stops me to tell me that btw they have not gotten the State Inspection done because the car has been sitting. I'll need to do that and "she will reimburse me". Felt like that should've been done? Heres the awesome service you can expect from Passport Motors... I live in Austin and had to use the air conditioner on January 5th...The air conditioner does not work. I call them and they inform me that I will need to use my extended warranty to get this fixed. They offered for me to drive to Dallas to have them "look at it" but any expense is on me because they sell it "as is". Shame on me for not thinking that a car fax and their own "guaranteed service inspection" of a $45k car included a working air conditioner?! The sales person Rosy passed me off as soon as she could to someone else who basically said "too bad its your problem". HORRIBLE customer service. I would think very hard before trusting a vehicle from these people. read more

Passport Motors Poorly run/managed sales department. Very unprofessional. On June 22 I found a vehicle with the specific features and equipment I want on TrueCar at Passport Motors (Stock: PM1437-338). I Clicked the link to verify availability, input my contact information and waited. Shortly after I received an email from TrueCar stating the vehicle was available. I then expected a Passport Motors representative to reach out to me. One never did. So, after a few days I checked Passport Motors website and the vehicle was still showing available. I contacted Passport Motors through the "Contact Us" link on their website. I waited a couple days and never heard from anyone at Passport Motors (yes, I check my spam folder). On June 28 I decided use their "Live Chat" feature hoping to finally reach someone. I chatted with Janice and she confirmed the vehicle was available but would have a sales rep reach out to me. No one did. On the evening of June 29 I went onto Passport Motors website and used the "Reserve" link and once again inquired if the vehicle was available and that I wanted to look at and test drive it the following morning. The morning of July 1 I finally received an email from Passport Motors (first one in 10 days!) from Sales (that appeared to be signed by Ariana Pena in the signature box) stating "This vehicle is still available, we are here till 7:00pm." So, at about 9:30 I drove out there and arrived about 10:00 fully prepared to do business. However, when I get inside I am told "the vehicle was sold, but we have other cars similar to it". Obviously I was furious. I, told her I wasn't interested, expresses my displeasure and left, fuming all the way home. Bottom line: After confirming 4 times that the vehicle was available including the morning I drove up there, after much time wasted, 45 miles driving, $8.00 in tolls, and 2 gallons of diesel fuel, It appears I simply fell victim to the old "Bait and Switch" scheme. I will NEVER consider anything at Passport Motors again. And if anyone asks, I will tell them to consider purchasing elsewhere and why. Full disclosure; prior to my retirement I worked 9 years at a Lexus dealership and was the Business Manager for the New and Pre-Owned departments before I left.
