When researching various property management companies, Good Life's approach was the most straightforward and transparent with no long term commitments. After speaking with them multiple times with various questions, I was left with a feeling of assurance that I was in good hands. Being a first time landlord, I have no experience in knowing how to screen tenants, knowing the rules, etc., especially when my background is not in the real estate and rental business. Having a busy work schedule also means that I won't likely be able to attend to the tenant's needs in a timely manner. This is where Good Life fills in the gaps for me. The team at Good Life during the onboarding process has been super helpful and efficient in getting the property ready, whereas it would've taken me ages in trying to do it myself. I was assigned Andrei as my property manager and it's been a great start. He has been open, transparent, professional, and great to work with since the start. I recently had an online shopping shipment mis-delivered to my rental property, to which Andrei was instrumental in helping to coordinate the handoff between the tenant and me. Even though Andrei is my primary contact, I can see that they have great teamwork. On one weekend, I had a question to which I received an out-of-office note from him. But rest assured, another team member stepped in that day during his time off to help with my question. Good Life also has a great online portal for me to see all the documents and tax information. Their services have impressed me since the beginning, and I look forward to a great relationship moving forward. Keep up the great work, Good Life! I highly recommend them!

If there are issues or updates, they email, text, and/or send info via owner web portal. Savannah has been our point of contact at Good Life. She is the best! Very friendly and always follows up with our questions/requests. We've had a few repairs that our tenants needed. Chi (Maintenance coordinator) handled them smoothly and kept me informed. Again, great communication. Love the financial summary (and receipt) at end of year for our tax accountant. Documents are nicely arranged on the owner web portal. Love it. And...always like Steve's informative emails and YT videos on regulations and tips.

Update: It's been…read moreabout 2 years since my initial impression of John. The relationship started out well, but more and more he became unresponsive and not detail oriented. We've received bills from other properties, emails with so many typos it's difficult to decipher, and had to make repeated requests for monthly reoccurring issues. When our renters had an issue with the kitchen faucet we had to request several times to have a plumber look at it before John agreed. We almost replaced our 1k faucet 100% under warranty for a $50 fix. For all of these reasons I would not recommend John's services. Old review: John is all about business. As a property manager he's been responsive to us and worked hard to secure a renter in just a couple of weeks. We were super happy that our unit was only vacant for 5 days, saving us a substantial amount of money. We believe John found us a good renter and they signed a lease for almost 2 years. John's management fees are also extremely reasonable. We would highly recommend John for your property management needs.

That he has bug feces (as confirmed by a professor of entomology) on the walls of the kitchen , dining room, and living room, and inside the baseboards caused by extreme cooking with grease. His stove has old grease drips all around the stove and his burners. The bathroom hardware is all rusted due to too many showers. There were only suppose to 4 people living in the 2 bed condo. In reality there was up to 7 or 8. I asked Becky over and over to check the property. My neighbors were telling me that she had dogs in the condo with people coming and going. That they were breeding dogs. Becky would report back that the tenant told her she didn't have any dogs and Becky believed her. I complained to Steve about Becky and requested for help. Come to find out he and Becky are a couple. He took her side. I asked Harvey, the second owner for help. He would never respond. The tenants couldn't pass the financial qualification so Becky had them get a co-signer. I never knew about this until I needed to get back my losses. Come to find out the co-signer does not live in California although on their website they say that all co-signers must live in California. So, I had zero recourse except to take the tenants to small claims where they are on a payment plan of $150/month. It will be years and years until I'm paid in full. 10K-12K loss to repair my condo. Lastly, I asked 6 or more times as to where the security deposit was used. She would never answer. All I know, she could have kept some for herself.

I moved into a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom condo. it was 3 people for the unit. one month later we were billed 2,000$$$$ for the last peoples water bill that was unpaid. we said, no we moved in less than 4 weeks ago and you billed us for water for two years, for the tenants prior to us who already moved out. they said they would kick us out if not gone in 30 days. we stayed and rented one year. we found out later what had occurred. the girl who moved out never billed water to the unit bc her sister worked for pacific rim property management. the woman was Sabrina and the sistwr was the girl who's room I moved into. they (two sisters) one renting a room in a condo that the older sister was her work that was renting the whole condo to the 3 tenants. when Sabrina little sister moved out that's when we got a water bill not for us! we had threats but ultimately we didn't pay anyone's water we didn't use and they never did anything. bad company stay away. this was years back

Jefferson at Carmel Mountain Ranch, a Greystar property, refuses to get dumpster emptied daily…read more Only willing to do it every other day. All dumpsters on the property overflow daily, and the property has rats. Staff claim people intentionally overflow dumpsters, and post signs instructing residents to use a different dumpster if one is full, but they're all full. I have photos I've taken daily to prove staff is complicit in maintaining status quo despite overflow and rats. Residents cannot open windows due to the smell.

I had already put down $300,000 and owned another home that was fully paid off and worth about $550,000. Yet the broker told me I needed to put down $600,000 to buy a home priced at $850,000 . After that, I went to another broker and got pre-approved almost immediately. I qualified for the home without any problems. All I can say is that they were not very professional. In my opinion, Simon seemed focused only on money. I felt that he was trying to earn commissions from both sides. When I decided not to use his broker, my offer was not accepted, and I was told that another offer had been accepted instead. That was my experience, and it left me feeling that my interests were not the priority.
