We had the broccoli Rob as an appetizer which was delicious and well balanced. We had the veal chop and the sea bass. The sea bass had a very nice light truffle taste which was not overwhelming. The delicate fish. Portions were generous and perfectly done. Cocktails were delicious as was the wine. Service was attentive and prompt. The ambiance is typical of an Italian restaurant, nothing special. It is a small place with cozy table placement. The only disappointment in the meal was that the creme brulee for dessert was not correctly prepared as there was not a nice hard caramelized shell on top and the custard was a bit grainy.

Always one of my favorite spots. Never disappointed. Went for happy hour to grab a couple of drinks and an app. Keep in mind the bar itself is pretty small and usually full so you have to expect to wait for an opening or better yet make a reservation and ask for a high top table. They have the best espresso martinis, they have a machine right at the bar so it's always made with fresh espresso. Tonight I went to my old stand by an aperol spritz. It was delicious. I almost always get the burratta appetizer but upon hearing the specials I went with the 3 cheese stuffed squash flowers. So glad I did. They were lightly battered and fried to perfection with marinara sauce underneath. It was a very nice portion 4 squash flowers. Was just enough to fill me up but light enough that I didn't feel stuffed. I wish the season for squash flowers was longer. Will have to try and get back before they are gone.

A friend recommended this restaurant. I was a block away today and decided to have lunch and check it out. I was in the mood for escarole, white bean soup but they didn't have it today. Bartender Reed suggested I try the Pane Cotto. How is it possible that I have never heard of or tried this dish in my life? It was so good. Just when you think you know what all your favorite foods are you discover something new to add to your list? Thank you, Reed.

Catching up with friends at Pasta Cosi was a great decision. Super friendly from the minute I opened the door. Big smiles and big hellos by hostess and wait staff. Wait staff quickly came to our table to share the specials and get our drink orders, me the mule, my friend a glass of Chianti. As we looked over the menu, the bread and oil dip was served. Big fan of this!! Bread was the perfect Italian bread, soft on the inside with the crisp hard crust!! For dinner I had the eggplant rollatini and a masti salad. Friend had the Alfredo. All were simply wonderful. Perfect flavor and hit the spot. Despite being completely full we ordered dessert. I could t pass on trying the crème brûlée. It was orange flavor and a delicious combination. This small quaint setting was perfect for us to chat and catch up. Great place for a romantic evening if you wish.

Very quaint and stylish atmosphere. The staff is wonderful and attentive. The food was very good with generous portions. Unfortunately, the cost of up-charging left a bad taste in our mouths. Chicken Marsala over pasta ended up costing $31.00 and a breaded chicken cutlet over penne pasta cost $32.00, yikes! Enjoyed our visit but not enough for a return visit. Our dining area had a gnat problem which proved to be quite frustrating at times.

Great spot! Cosy Italian joint, great food, great vibes. We shared a couple apps for the special steak tips omg they were so tender and delicious. Got the meatballs as a side for a app and really big, good quality meat. Frank Sinatra music and brick walls makes you feel like you're in a Italian restaurant in NYC . We will definitely come here again. Also! Our waitress was amazing, I'm impressed how she memorized all the specials with no hesitation

I have been told how this local area in Shoreline is the the Italian central place. We decided we were gonna test that out by trying this place. I must say I'd mark this as good not great or delightful. Considering I got the Famous Lobster Ravoli I am not sure what I was expecting but like I said good. My wife got a Italian sausage and she pretty much had same impression good not great. I don't wish to be unduly harsh but it was rather lack luster and we started playing around in figuring out the seasoning that we could add to do it, in the end. It seemed like it was only okay. Reason I took a picture of the menu is because Yelp or online menu do not match prices for dining in. It is a dramatic difference of at least $ 3-10 difference per dish in menu difference not place to find a deal.

Is there easy access in back from parking lot?

Not the few spaces directly behind the restaurant, but lots of public spaces either across the street from the back door, or the public lot just a bit further off of Main street. Still use the front door.

Our table was cramped on an uneven edge of the fireplace. The positives: The arancini was amazing, great flavor, and a great sauce. We had the blackened scallops and risotto which was fantastic! It's clear this is a staple in town, however, we didn't leave with that impression. The cons: the salad came out pre-dressed which wasn't mentioned on the menu. It looked great presentation wise, however, not everyone likes Balsamic and it didn't say that on the menu. We would have asked them to make another on but the server/ bartender was incredibly busy. The water jug that they placed on the table was dirty. The chicken piccata was packed with flavor- however- the pasta was clearly overcooked. It was discolored and breaking apart; evidently cooked a few nights before and reheated in a pan. The pasta did not taste good. It is a large portion, and I'm sure it would've tasted better if it was fresh. We let our server know and she was apologetic. We asked our server if the desert had nuts in it. She stated the desert did not. We got a sambuca and double espresso that had biscotti. Unbeknownst, a few bites in, we discovered that there were in fact nuts in there. After the disappointment with dinner, we would have thought they'd comp at least a coffee since we barely ate any of it. We called the server over and asked for the bill- letting her know we had to get out of here as soon as possible to get the EpiPen. Overall, I'm sure their other items are great. The menu has a lot and it was hard to pick an entree. It is disappointing that this was our first experience there. We were there for 2 hours and will probably not be returning back.

While I can't speak for everyone else's experience, I can speak to my own, and I was extremely disappointed with the level of service we received. especially regarding food allergies and the zero percent effort put into finding additional information from the kitchen. When looking over the menu, I asked our waiter whether the pesto contained pine nuts because I have a tree nut allergy. He responded in an annoyed tone that he didn't know and simply told me not to order it. He didn't offer to ask the kitchen or try to find the answer, which was especially surprising considering he had just asked if anyone had questions about the menu. Since I still wanted to know if the pesto was safe, I walked up to the host stand where three employees were standing. I asked the same question, and one of the women immediately replied, "No, of course not. There are no nuts in pesto." When I asked if she was sure, she confidently said they never make it with nuts. It was clear from her reaction that she wasn't actually certain.... she simply wasn't familiar with the fact that traditional pesto often contains pine nuts. (Which is fine if you don't know but please, please ask instead of assuming!) At that point I mentioned to everyone that I carry an EpiPen because I have an allergy. Only then did she say, "Actually, let me ask the kitchen." She returned a moment later and informed me that yes, the pesto did in fact contain pine nuts. Food allergies are NOT preferences they can be life-threatening. It's alarming that staff members were willing to answer so confidently without actually verifying the information first or further more to not even have a care in the world to ask for me and told me to order something else? I hope Cafe Fiore takes this as an opportunity to better educate staff on food allergies and the importance of checking with the kitchen whenever there is any uncertainty. Instead of answering blindly. A simple question about ingredients should never be treated as an inconvenience, and guests should be able to trust that the information they're given is accurate when their health depends on it. It is not a big ask. Simply go ask the kitchen. Overall the food was just okay, the inside however seemed clean and well taken care of but I will not be returning. No meal is worth wondering whether the information you're being given is accurate. When a guest asks about an allergen, the only acceptable answer is one that has been verified with the kitchen.... not a guess. Someone else's life could depend on it.

Not like the in Manhattan , where they serve the mini martinis (always a pet peeve of mine). Service was excellent, we had Jasmin and a good support staff, a local kid. Food was better than expected. We live right outside the city, and we love our food, obsessively. For starters we had some salad, fried calamari, clams with chorizo in a nice broth and a special fried flourettes. All good, clams in broth was my pick for best app. For entrees we had veal chop, pork chop Milanese with salad, linguine with clams, linguine fra Diablo and 2 fish. Portions are huge, we should have shared. We ended with 1 desert to share a molten lava cake with some fancy ice cream. I'm not a big lava guy, but I loved the ice cream.
