Excellent little find. We had their garlic bread and Roman Orgy pizza. Everything, including the service, was excellent.

We called in an order for a pizza about 9:30 on a Sunday evening. The on-line menu showed a large 3 topping pizza for $14.99 We ordered one half with one topping and the opposite half with 2 toppings that were different from the first half. They charged us $20 for this pizza. I didn't push it. Just wanted to take the pie back to my hotel and feed the family. Opened the box and found a thin crust pizza as advertised with toppings that were as thin, or thinner, than the crust. $5 grab and go pizza at little Caesar's is better than what Pasta Jay's serves. The person on the phone was friendly. Atmosphere in the restaurant seemed good also. I see the reviews are mixed when looking through them so Jay has some work to do with his staff. read more

Large choice of dishes covering both vegetarian and non vegetarian desires. If you want to get an overview of different types of pasta, try out the Hagan Option and compose it as you wish. The Manicotti are fine as well. Only the garlic bread was a disappointment, with too much butter and no real garlic flavour. Absolutely delicious and a value for the $$. Highly recommend for carb lover. A local suggestion from the hotel desk staff. Ordered a salad with creamy Italian dressing, spaghetti with meat sauce and shrimp Giacomo. Large serving and tasted homemade. All staff was pleasant and prompt service. read more

The minestrone is good, the pizza just greasy and burned. If you don't like authentic Italian pizza, then this place is probably good.

Pasta Is is the best Italian food I have eaten. The service is great. They make their own sauces. The food is plentiful.

We stayed in Moab for a week and ate out for every meal. Pasta Jay's was by far the best restaurant that we tried. We ate there twice. All 4 of us ordered different dishes each time, and we are all very happy with everything that we ordered. Their marinara sauce was excellent, as were all the baked pasta dishes. The Cesar salad was very good as well, with fresh home-made dressing. My wife even loved the eggplant parmesan, and she is very particular. They also really went above and beyond the call of duty, when they mailed us back something that we had left in the restaurant, after we realized that we left it there a week after returning to San Francisco! read more

Truly one of the worst restaurants I've been to. The lasagna was terrible, drenched in some sort of red sauce, and it had obviously been sitting under a warmer for far too long. The service was awful! We had to wait a full 1/2 hour for our check after our meal was done, then another 15 minutes for the waitress to decide to come back. And the noise level is terrible. We have lived in Moab for a long time now. And have tried most of the restaurant's in town. This is still our favorite.

The atmosphere was good and the chicken pizza tasted great. Unfortunately it made me sick. Narrowed it down to the pizza because everyone that didn't taste it was fine and everyone that did got sick. First the good, Tiffany was a very enjoyable waitress to have and very friendly. Then there is the $30 pasta & sausage with pesto and a side of shrimp; pasta was dry and not cooked through, pesto was sort of drizzled over the sausage. Pretty basic menu, pretty basic food. For the price I expected more. Layout of tables is poor. Our table on the outside offered seating in the isle with wait staff constantly bumping you or on the outside wall (plastic panel) with a drop off so you chair is higher in the front than the back. All around wouldn't choose to go again, but the food was edible, just not a real pleasant experience. (We did ask about being moved and were told it would be another 1/2 hour wait, so we stayed put). read more

Mediocre food at sky-high prices, topped off with awful service. The waiter dropped off our drinks, came back 5 minutes later with menus, and then disappeared for another 20. We finally flagged someone down and got him to come take our orders. The food was meh, tastes about the same as something you'd find in the freezer aisle. The pizza dough and sauce were bland, and the pasta was a bit soggy. Our waiter never reappeared to check on us after we got the food- we wanted an extra plate and some balsamic, but decided it wasn't worth the hassle. Do not recommend. read more

My wife and I ate here and really enjoyed the food. The atmosphere is pleasant in the restaurant but nothing fancy. It also has a large outdoor eating area. We enjoy Pasta Jays so much that we always stock up with a case of their marinara sauce ever time we are in Moab. Today we are staying over night in Moab on our way to Arizona just so we could get our sauce. Always eat at Pizza Jays while in town. Food is unique and never had a bad entree. read more

on a 7 day road trip from Philly Pa....this was the BEST eating stop....had chicken parm and ceasar salad...PERFECT food and PERFECT SERVICE from SABASTIAN....He was a doll and we loved speaking with him...he was very helpful with directions and advice for our tours that we had to do...what a sweetheart he was...If you eat here at this restaurant, be sure to ask for SABASTIAN....You'll love him. Hit or miss... more fast food-y than a real Italian restaurant, for better or worse. Gnocchi was very good, but chicken parm just a chicken breast in a gigantic tub of sauce, accompanied by stale penne. It has been a few months since our wedding, and I've had a chance to let the dust settle surrounding the big event but I wanted to give a great review to our caterer. I cannot say enough great things about working with Pasta Jay's catering staff for our wedding. I worked with James Lemon, the catering manager, the months leading up to our event at the end of October 2015. He talked me through our numbers and told me that I was ordering too much food. He recommended different choices for our crowd. He took the time to meet with me, walk through our venue days before the event (this was a destination wedding) and helped us troubleshoot our issue of how to get our own appetizers served and cake cut and served to our guests. He was flexible and so so helpful the night of. He didn't bother me, the bride, and directed questions at my MC and family. His staff was courteous, helpful and provided good service. He offered a special olive oil drizzle from the restaurant for our caprese skewer appetizers, to make them better. When the time came to cut the cake, they whisked it away, made sure each guest was offered some and then they packed up the leftovers in to-go boxes and saran wrap. The food at our event got many compliments. We had house salad, chicken parm/eggplant parm, Pasta Pesto, Pasta Josephina (great choice!), with the breadsticks. The labor was so affordable and to feed our 60 guests we spent about $1,400. I would recommend working with James and using Pasta Jay's as a caterer for your event in Moab! read more

Good, but not great. Overpriced for what you get. We had a great waiter, but the kitchen couldn't get our orders right. They have some creative Italian dishes and I liked the flavor of my Pasta Olivia (daily special). But there wasn't much chicken in it. My friend had a really good creamy pesto tortellini dish. I did like that they had gluten free options, but a $3 up charge is a little much. My wife had a gluten free pizza that was just ok. Dominos has a better gluten free pizza. Plus they barely put any sauce on it at all. Now for the mistakes in the orders: our pizza was missing the green peppers we ordered, then when they brought some sautéed peppers out, it was three little slices for the whole personal pizza...and thanks for cutting them up...? (This is on top of putting hardly any sauce on the pizza.) Also, I asked for no cheese on my pasta Olivia, and what did I get? Cheese covering the entire dish. I sent it back and they just tried to scrape off the melted cheese. It was good enough for me and better than waiting 20 minutes for them to remake it, but they didn't ask if that was ok. I must give high praise for or waiter (I wish I could remember his name. He said he had just started working there). He got our orders right and as the kitchen was bringing out our food, he called them out on their mistakes before we even noticed them. He did everything he could to accommodate us and even got us a free dessert. He was very attentive and friendly. He is a big reason we still had a good experience. We didn't stay in Moab long enough to try other restaurants, but I imagine there are better options around. But if you're in the mood for Italian, this might be what you're looking for. read more

Excellent Italian. Between the four of us we had ravioli, baked Lorenzo and the gnocchi Catalina. All were excellent, reasonably priced and if you're a light eater, share one as portions are large. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. One note: the gnocchi was delicious, in a rich Gorgonzola sauce and the pecans were a great touch, but don't use the skinniest, oldest asparagus in the world- they tasted like twigs not asparagus. read more

I had never been to Moab before, and didn't expect to find an Italian restaurant this good! If you're looking for a casual Italian restaurant with a lot of menu options pretty reasonably priced, this is your place! I ordered the ravioli and my husband had the eggplant Parmesan and both were amazing. Their marinara sauce is really tasty and a little spicy. My kids split a small cheese pizza and it had a thin crispy crust and great flavor of the sauce and cheese. We had a side of roasted Italian veggies and they were big pieces of roasted green and yellow zucchini, carrots, onions, and mushrooms and it was only $3 which I thought was very reasonable. The place was packed on the Saturday night we went over Memorial Day weekend but our food came out a fast pace. The only negative thing was that the chicken on my ravioli dish was very rubbery and almost completely inedible. All in all, a great casual Italian meal. read more

I ate at Pasta Jays with a relatively small party on a Thursday evening. We were seated quickly on the patio. Shortly after being seated a young boy dropped off waters without taking our drink order. He didn't say a word actually. The service continued to decline. When a man finally arrived to take our order, he never offered to take a drink order. When we asked if he could, he seemed annoyed. We ordered salads and breadsticks as starters, and pizzas as the main course. After a very long wait the salad came out with the pizza. When we pointed out that the breadsticks did not come the rather than apologize, the waiter asked, "oh, well do you still want them?" When we implied that the pizzas would get cold as we ate our salad and that the bread and salad would have been nice before the pizza arrived the waiter did not respond and walked away. While the food was good, the slow and poor service ruined the experience. read more
