We've been going to the original pasta mista for years and loved it. I always worry when a place expands that it won't be as good. This place however was very good! We came here for lunch and my biggest complaint is out of their hands. The parking. It was a mess and so hectic that it can make any lunch break feel like work. After we found a spot over by the apartment complex we came in and ordered some slices. Cheese, veggie and white pizza. Service was good, a little slow to get our actual slices, but extremely friendly. The pizza was great. It's not my favorite pizza in the world but it is a very good solid slice. Lots of seating on the inside but again it does get busy. We saw many people ordering ahead of time and taking out which is probably the pro move. I can't see myself coming here often because of the traffic but if you're in the area it is a good spot. Also, they promote that they deliver on grub hub. read more

I love this this place. Great atmosphere and good food. I've only had their pizza and it's absolutely great. The crust is not thick like some other hand tossed pizza places and it's not actually like a thin crust pizza too. It's pretty much the right and perfect crust. They have all the different types of pizzas on display for you to choose. While they may be sitting out there for a bit, they do a good job of heating it up in the oven to make the crust and toppings perfect. Personally, I tell them to heat it up a bit longer than usual. Try the meat lovers, regular pepperoni, and 3 cheese pizza as your basics then explore from there. They also have Peroni beer on tap. I spent 3 months in Italy and fell in love with Peroni beer. However, upon returning stateside store bought US bottle beer was not the same. Reluctantly I tried the Peroni here and it as pretty much the same as I had in Italy. It's hard to describe and most people may not notice. But after drinking it for 3 months in the country it's brewed in, the tap at Pasta Mista is the closest I've had. Props to them. I loveeeee Pasta Mista! Their creative pizzas are amazing. My personal favorite is the spaghetti pizza, although I've also had the tortellini pizza, and it's pretty dope. If you wanna do some carb loading you will definitely not be disappointed by Pasta Mista. I've been here a few times and the food is pretty good. I like that they sell pizza by the slice and have parmigiana cheese, garlic and red pepper flakes available. They have a soda fountain machine and you can pour your own refills. They have a baby changer in their women's bathroom but it's really high up compared to other ones and I'm glad I didn't have to use it. read more

It's arguably the best pizza in the Baltimore area...pizza doesn't have that much flop and the ingredients are always fresh. Highly recommend their Cheese, Murillo, and their Vodka pizza(special request of their Pesto pizza but replacing the pesto with vodka sauce). I've alway been a fan of the pizza from pasta mista. I recently ordered a pizza from them as i have many times. Their food is delivered, in my case, by Grub Hub. I live near a building with a similar address Grub Hub delivered my pizza to the wrong 0oace. After several phone calls, Pasta Mista sent a new pizza and my Grub Hub driver delivered it for free. No hassle, no pushback, no problem. This, for me, was a perfect example of quality customer service. Thank you to both for your follow through. I have only gone to the one in Canton. Normally I go there once every couple of weeks with my coworkers. Several of my coworkers swear by the Chicken Cheesesteak and the Chicken Parm. I mostly get the pizza (NY style) just plain cheese and it is VERY good. The other item I get here is the Lobster Ravioli, a very good choice. And the price, is fairly reasonable. The one real knock against them is that on numerous accounts they have messed up the order or even forgotten the order. For instance they may give you the Chicken Parm when you requested the Grilled Chicken. Or completely forget to put your order (this happened twice) in the kitchen. This cute little pasta place really hit the spot when I needed it! Some times I just want fast causal Italian food this was the perfect fit! We stopped in after a day of running errands and doing stuff and I loved that they also sold wine and beer. On my most recent visit we dined in so that we could enjoy some adult beverages. While ordering I got to chat with the staff a bit and they were great, joking with us a bit and really going the extra mile. This is a NY style pizza place, and they have an array of pizzas by the slice to choose from individually. For me it's the closest to NY style in Baltimore. It's not a fancy coal or wood fired joint, but it's the perfect spot for a slice or two to go or if you just want a regular, traditional pie. Plus you can buy their dough to take home if you want to make your own! I like the chicken parm slice and the one with broccoli, feta and red pepper flakes. Yum! In general, I like all of the Pasta Mista locations. This one just happens to be within walking distance from a kid I babysit. So we come here often. The subs are pretty good, as is the pizza. Not bad!! I was pleasantly surprised for a neighborhood pizza joint, the pizza slice I got was really good!!! When you walk in, it looks like a typical pizza joint with a list of subs, pizzas, pastas, etc. The people were really nice though. I just got a slice of plain cheese, it was a pretty large slice, and the crust was SUPER crispy and thin- SO good!! It's the closest to NYC-syle pizza I've gottten in Baltimore, so I will definitely make my way over there again. Kudos to this place! Really unimpressed by Pasta Mista. I've only tried two dishes--the pesto penne and the chicken parm--so I can't in good conscience give it less than 2 stars. My girlfriend had another pasta dish that she didn't like and didn't finish. Other reviewers like the pizza, so maybe it's a pizza vs. pasta issue. The idea of a fast and easy italian take-out place is really appealing to me, because I like pasta and I'm often getting food on the go. But Pasta Mista's pasta dishes are overly heavy and unappetizing. Confusingly, they also refused to replace the chicken in their standard penne pesto pasta. I had asked for sausage instead, and they were happy to give me sausage, but they just wouldn't take out the chicken...which struck me as weird. I ended up with a pasta that had both, even though I would have been willing to pay the same amount for a pasta without the chicken. Does this mean it's a pre-made dish? Regardless, I was willing to love it but ended up with a brick of overly-sauced and greasy pasta. With Veni Tre moving in across the street in Canton Crossing, people that want a quick bite of Italian at least have a pretty good alternative. read more

PIzza Mista opened its sister restaurant in Canton and its definitely a welcome addition to the Baltimore pizza scene. Up until now the closest I could get to NY style pizza was Maria D's in Fed Hill or Dog Pub (but not really). Finally, a decent slice of pizza... and i'll gladly drive across the harbor to get it. We decided to try this place out for lunch yesterday... they have a huge selection of slices (probably around 10-12 different kinds), lots of salads, sandwiches, and pasta dishes. The chicken ranch slice was awesome. Nice and thin crispy crust and it came out piping hot with a nice little bit of char on the edges of the crust. We also got a salad (I forget which one) but it definitely isn't your normal "pizza joint" type salad. They used fresh mixed greens, fresh cooked chicken that was well seasoned, and the included veggies and vinaigrette were top notch. Definitely add this one to your list. Yum! This is a typical chain restaurant-y pasta/pizza place with the typical fare. The food is decent, prices are affordable, and portions are incredibly generous. I haven't had the pizza, as I had a bad experience with MD pizza crust already (it was like apple pie crust, crumbly and flaky, not chewy and crisp) but I had tortellini and it was really good. I was half-expecting it to be sort of gummy and have that supermarket salad bar buffet stale-taste to it but I was pleasantly surprised. I never have anything negative to say about Pasta Mista. The service is friendly and efficient, the ambiance is inviting and the food is always fresh and delectable. I had my roommate try the Spaghetti pizza and he feel instantly in love. I mean.... who can really go wrong with a thick slice of pizza, spaghetti on top of the crust and then latticed over with more crust. It has the perfect crunch to gooey ratio. The only reason this Pasta Mista is getting 4 stars is because that parking lot is brutal. I really wanted to like this place based on the reviews but I was unfortunately disappointed. My wife, 2 boys (age 4 & 7) and I stopped in for a bite. The atmosphere was like Mama Ilardos (shopping mall food court) and the food equally anemic. I had a meatball sub and the meatballs and sauce lacked flavor. My boys had a cheese pizza that was so tough I couldn't cut it with the knife they provided. On a positive note, my wife ordered a chef salad that was quite good and quite large. The restaurant is conveniently located across the street from their swimming lessons at Merritt Health club so we will probably be back...not because the food is awesome but because the location is convenient.
